Love Farm Burger...why only 4 stars? Just being picky w/how my burger was cooked. I asked for a good char on the outside, juicy inside...came more like a medium well inside and only light grill marks...Other than that everything was excellent. The farm salad (loved the grilled squash), the okra...some of the best I have ever had.Will be back.
My first time going and Ill definitely be back. I love that there were vegan and vegetarian options. The chocolate milkshake was delicious! I was able to get a vegetarian burger with multiple toppings. My friends also enjoyed their burgers and the fries were excellent. I definitely recommend going if you havent been before!
Wonderful location, great service, great food a little pricey and the furniture is not to comfortable. I would invest a little in making the place a little but more comfortable. No parking on premises but there are several withing walking distance arround the block. A place to meet with friends and enjoy farm style burgers with a gourmet touch. Give it a try! Great place. Fun, casual and tasty. I had the vegan burger. It was scrumptious. The arugula was a perfect addition. The onion rings were perfect. My kids loved the shakes and chicken tenders. My husband had the grilled chicken special. We had a group of 8 with small.children and we had a great time.
Not a bad burger but definitely not what I ordered. The wait in line was 10-15 minutes & the wait for the food was 30.....which would have been fine had my burger been cooked at medium rather than well done, and my husbands egg on his burger had been sunny side up rather than fried extremely over well. When you pay these prices for quality (and ethical) food, you expect to get it the way it is ordered. I may give them another try one day, but not any time soon. Which is a bummer!
One of my favorite places to eat in Asheville. The burgers are absolutely delicious and the staff at this location is amazing. Today I forgot to ask for no cheese on my burger (allergies)… when I asked for a fork to scrap off the cheese, I was told they were making me a new patty so I didn’t have to worry about my allergies! They do serve gluten free buns and vegan/ dairy free options. Will definitely keep coming back to this location!

Delicious burgers!! Vegetarian options available with their house-made blackbean, sweet potato burger as well as Impossible burgers. Creative, fresh toppings and delicious fry baskets. Also GF buns, & local brews available. Great local spot!!
We were able to park in a Public lot on Coxe Street and walk .2 miles to the restaurant. There was a line to order at the bar and then pick a family style table inside or outside at bistro style seating. (There is a plank and bar stools in part of the storefront window which had a slider window open near the door, I almost tried to order there, oops!)What a lovely selection of greens from the garden (arugula, kale, romaine) and sweet potato hush puppies, kale slaw and gf collards.Hubby had a #1, Farmhouse burger with sweet potato fries. I had a #2, a Homemade Vegan burger on a gluten free bun with sweet potato fries. Two kinds of kombucha, soda including two Jarrito flavors and beer.
Burgers are great, and I love that theres a weekly local burger special. The fries are too damp for my liking; Im a crispy dry fry guy.Parking can be a bit rough even if youre just coming by for takeout, but the 10-minute curbside pickup spots around the corner are very helpful.
This was my first time to Asheville and to this restaurant. Based upon the rating, it was not the experience l was expecting. The restaurant wasnt crowded when we placed our ordered. Our meals were provided timely. But the sides, fries and onion rings were overcooked and shoved in a wire rim basket with our burgers...which may have been grass-fed, but a little greasy. I couldnt see food! The restaurant wasnt tidy and clean. It had a greasy feel to it... Not like a restaurant that would be in the downtown area
Great “Farmhouse” burger. They have some amazing onion rings and sweet potato hush puppies. Great atmosphere as well! A must try in Asheville 👍
We love it here. Their burgers are great. This is our go-to burger place whenever were in Asheville. It caters to our 3 different dietary preference; chicken, beef and vegetarian! A must-visit restaurant downtown.
Pretty good food overall. My date enjoyed his burger. My chicken fingers were better than expected. Wish there was an adult version with a larger portion. Sweet potato hush puppies needed butter or something, they were just kind of dry, but they werent bad by any means. Service was polite and prompt. Only complaint was that it felt a little claustrophobic, but maybe thats just Asheville.
Location is not ideal. Theres no curbside parking and as a single mom Dasher. I dont pick up a lot of orders bc I dont trust to leave my kids in the car at night time to walk 2 blocks for 8 dollar order. Not sure about how good the food is. Just the location is horrid.

First time coming to a FB.. great staff.. the downtown location first have a fountain for drinks.. which okay. I know its a old building.. Burger was not noticeably different from any where else.. I had the bacon cheeseburger which is made with bacon in the burger and bacon on top.. Ill try next time a regular burger to get a better sense if what grass fed beef it truly like.
Honestly had heard so much of this place my expectations and excitement were high. They have great prices, lots of options, and their meat is well sourced. However, if youre a burger man like me, the flavor on these burgers is super average. Nothing really sets these burgers apart from any typical burger shop. If youre asking a man who loves to grill and eat a really great flavor burger I would send you to anywhere serving Chop Shops beef. Go to The Vault and have their smash burger and tell me it wasnt worth the extra 4 bucks to taste the best quality.
The burger and fries were tasty. I enjoyed the onion rings but my husband didnt. The breading tasted like hushpuppies, which was fine with me. I thought it was well priced. They also had a lot of seating choices which was nice. I would come back again.
Took one bite and all my condiments fell out ....yuck.... and I couldnt bite into it. Maybe have the option to have the burger cut in half???? Make the bun have a lip?? Ingredients are fresh. Over all taste was delicious but probably wont order any extra toppings see if that helps keep my sandwich in my hands and mouth.
The burgers here are amazing and the gluten free bun doesnt require an ocean of water and a box of tissues. The staff have always been wonderful and the farm to table quality has me coming back regularly. I was a little disappointed today to get my burger back to my office overcooked with no lettuce, tomato, pickle, mayonnaise like I ordered because a plain or well-done burger doesnt actually appeal to me at all, but I will be back because I know this is a one-off. Im hoping they will take my order over the phone next time.
Stopped by Farm Burger for a late lunch after a few hours walking around downtown Asheville. Literally one of the best burgers Ive ever had! Juicy, savory, decilous... Just the best!!

After 12 hrs working as a nurse my wife gets to eat COLD cereal instead of a warm meal we waited an hr for. They messed up entire order left off 2 entire beef patties and the other burger had spicy stuff on it. Thanks guys!
Part of the reason we went from Philly to Asheville was to finally use this dang gift certificate for Farm Burger. Wouldnt you know it, I was so excited when we got there I forgot to use it! Doesnt matter, Ill go back at some point. Get me another tasty chicken burger and OWB beer. Great times!
Farm burger is not a bad place to stop by, but I was not the biggest fan of the food. Everyone was super nice and the food looked amazing. Just maybe not for me.
Wow! This is an example of a restaurant that has things figured out. We got takeout and Ill get to that, but we called it in.When you go, they now have you check in first and order from a person behind plexiglass. So before you are even seated you have ordered your food and drinks with minimal contact. This goes faster than you would think.A lot of indoor and outdoor seating, socially distant.We checked in to pay and then waited on the sidewalk until ours was done.The food was delicious. We have a couple Celiacs and they loved their gluten free buns. The burgers were so fresh and tasty. Wife had a chicken salad and while tasty, they gave her a chicken patty which was odd.Will definitely come back!

I had a high expectations of this place. But to be honest it was mediocre at best.My fiance and I got a vegan burger and a fb Burger. Hers basically fell apart Non-Stop as soon as she ate it, she said it tasted great. But she only ate half of it, because the rest fell out.Mine was good but it was tiny and I was underwhelmed by the flavors. They definitely dont get there burger patties from a distributor and they definitely make them in-house because I can make this exact same thing in less than 10 minutes (no offense).The saving Grace was definitely their garlic parmesan fries, they were perfect, delicious excellent quantity, and crispy.Decent selection of beers to choose from mainly only craft beers, I didnt see any domestics which is no problem for me.
The burger was beyond amazingly delicious. The first bite I was like OM MY! The in house pickles were to die for, and I was scraping the bottom of the parmesan fries! Great find before we go see Gojira!!
We had Farm Burger cater our wedding and couldnt have been happier with our choice! From our tasting until the day itself, the Farm Burger team were amazing to work with - responsive, enthusiastic, and always professional.The food itself was delicious and a hit with our guests. We wanted elevated comfort food and they nailed it. The burgers were cooked perfectly, the sides were fresh and delicious, and they even had great options for our vegan/veggie guests.If youre looking for something outside of the traditional wedding dinner, Farm Burger is a fantastic option.
Believe the reviews, this burger joint is phenomenal!! My husband and I went here on a Sunday night, and we were seated quickly at the bar. My husband ordered the Farm Burger with onion rings and fries, and I got the Sunny Side with sweet potatoe fries. Both were absolutely delicious. The Sunny side had egg and salsa Verde on it, while my husbands had their homemade farm burger sauce and carmalized onions. All items we ordered came out hot. We were most impressed with their service. Sitting at the bar we were able to see all the orders coming in,and watch how the staff was working together to crank out all the orders. They were truly busting their butts and working like a well oiled machine. It was amazing how many burgers they were cranking out. Only negative I have to say is that our burgers were more well done than medium well. But that didnt stop us from eating them. Overall fantastic service and hot delicious burgers. Loved that the burgers are grass fed!
Farm burger gave a good burger grassfed, lots of side options. We got garlic Parmesan fries and build your own burgers. There was a good drink selection to choose from. With current health cautions they are currently just doing Togo food you can eat at their outside tables after getting the food as an option. Good experience and friendly staff.

It’s expensive, not gonna sugar coat it. But they pride themselves with local ingredients but wish they had avacados… milk shakes were pretty good.
After originally visiting Strada Italiano having a bad experience there, my friend and I left and walked over to Farm Burger! There was very friendly staff who were happy to answer any questions, fast service, a nice atmosphere, delicious food for good prices, and overall we had a wonderful experience. Had a great night, and would definitely go again. My bad night quickly turned into a wonderful one after coming to Farm Burger and enjoying good food with my friend.Side note: There was pepper but no salt packets on the table, so you may want to add that. 😊

Great service! I loved their beer selection.My only recommendation would be to better season their onion rings. Not an inconvenience enough to take off a star. They give an aoli of sorts to dip them though, which helps.
FANTASTIC burgers. Their mustard and spicy mayo are delicious!I enjoy a good vegan burger every now and then, and theirs, made from black eyed peas and quinoa, kicked butt! This is a great place to go while in Downtown
Holy Cow that is a tasty burger! (See what I did there?)It was cooked perfect and from the egg to the beef patty. I’m not sure if the taste was because of the quality of the meat or the seasoning and preparation but it was delicious. The side options are creative and a break away from the boring. The service was phenomenal. I couldn’t decide what I wanted to order and the cashier was extremely friendly and helpful. Made me feel at home I will definitely be back.
For starters stupidly expensive 18.72 for a burger beer and fries and then to be asked for a tip on top of that is too much. Secondly my burger tasted like vomit and had multiple pieces of gristle in it. The beer was also watery. I ended up sending my burger back, and receiving a new one that was edible. The attentive staff and the quick delivery of my second burger are the only reason I’m giving this place 2 stars and not 1.

The best burgers Ive had in a very long time.My girlfriend and I came here at about 7 PM and each got a burger; I did a create-your-own and she got the sunny side up burger with pimento cheese fries. My burger was gone in about 5 minutes and she swears her burger was the best shes had. Service was prompt and friendly, and the food is to die for.10/10, would wholeheartedly recommend.
The daily burger is very, very good. Thick slice of yellow tomato, fantastic burger, sautéed mushrooms, sauce. The fries are great too. Worth the trip!

And dont pass up the Farm Burger sauce.A fine side selection of burger staples, like fries, onion rings (with smoked paprika mayo for the win) and hush puppies, round out the menu, along with a healthy offering of local and regional beers.Although the restaurant usually has a line and is first-come, first-serve, the staff has it down to an art, and guests are pretty much guaranteed a seat by the time they order.Its well worth a visit. Some establishments tout a farm to table mentality but this place delivers. I had the FB (farm burger). I’m generally very firm on a hamburger NEEDING my beloved ketchup. I have to say the house sauce that starts it’s base with Dukes Mayo is perfection! I didn’t even have the ketchup passed near me. The sweet potato fries were perfectly cooked and seasoned... not a bit soggy! My husband had the pork burger and it was a great surprise!! Very very tasty. They have a board up of about 20 local farms and even a local creamery that they get their goodness from!Two thumbs WAY up for this quirky and fabulous pit stop!

Great burger spot!! So yummy, you can choose everything basically so you can’t go wrong. The staff is great, really friendly every time we come in! I highly recommend it 🙏🏻They advice you if you need it, they aren’t picky or pushy. The fries are great and if you want a healthier option they have sweet potato fries
The ordering process works pretty smoothly so don’t be afraid of the long lines. It won’t take too long and the burgers are more then worth the wait. The pimento cheese was absolutely phenomenal and made for a great burger. The fries were great, adding some malt vinegar made it even better. The only thing my group had that didn’t knock our socks off were the sweet potato hush puppies.
Our experience here wasnt great. We ordered a few burgers here and some fries. We explicitly said well done on all our burgers and one came back with pink. We also wanted all cheeseburgers and one came back with no cheese. With us being from out of town it was too late for is to correct these things before we were in the car driving away with our food.

We were at the bar in the basement and saw the information about ordering and getting it delivered to us. We thought GREAT! We ordered and followed instructions to get the food delivered to us. Made a few special requests like no onions on one of the burgers. Information said our order would be ready in about 15 minutes. I received a text about 15 minutes later saying our food was ready. 12 minutes later still no food. We started up the stairs from the basement to see where our food was. The guy said, it just got done and was about to bring it down to us. We decided to eat upstairs on the screened in area instead. Our fries were soggy and greasy. The special request burger had tons on onions on it. I do not recommend this restaurant.

With peace and love - reconsider your food options when considering visiting this place. I understand the restaurant industry is difficult due to the pandemic and it’s a hectic and hard time for everyone. That does not mean it’s fair or right of your staff to demean guests. If guests are extending patience and kindness due to service times being longer and busier, it’s only right for /your/ employees to extend the same kindness to patrons. Please don’t allow your servers to project their issues onto guests (for example, your purple haired female server), they mistreat people, talk down to you, and she definitely discriminates against disabled people . Do better. There’s many great locations in Asheville, so try another restaurant instead of making a stop here.
Farm Burger is quick and efficient. Guests stand in line to order at the counter and should read the menu while waiting. Even when Asheville is crowded, the wait here is manageable. If you can grab a window seat, youll have an excellent spot for people watching. The food is good, but not great. Its our first choice only when we are in a hurry.
We were in town visiting the Biltmore my friend and two teenagers. We decided to stop in and have a burger at this place. We all agreed this was one of the best burgers we have ever tasted in our entire lives. The burger was perfectly cooked and seasoned wonderfully. I also ordered the sweet potato hush puppies and they were divine. I highly recommend this place if youre looking for a juicy delicious burger and the fries were also crispy and hand cut.

Order at the counter and served at your table. Their meats are grass fed and locally farmed. I had a perfectly cooked medium beef burger that was superb. My companion had the pastured pig sandwich with fries, all of which he loved. We ordered the deviled egg appetizer which was served with a lovely little lettuce and pickled vegetable garnish. Simple but nice wine list and larger local beer selection available in addition to teas, shakes and floats. Nice meal for a decent price. Paid parking available nearby.
Best burger Ive ever had and I was almost moved to tears. Their build your own burger made everything easy. Had a rootbeer float, gluten-free bun, well-done burger, pepper jack, a fried egg, and pickled jalapeños. Ive ate many burgers and made many for myself, but this was the best damn burger Ive ever had.Outside of food, the restaurant was clean and accommodating. The service was timely and patient. These guys really know how to cook a burger! A fantastic medium rare burger, juicy and full of flavor! Try the smoked paprika mayo for a little extra flavor or anything else off the large list of toppings on the create your own menu. Get the lunch special for a great deal on a burger, really good fries and a drink!

The service was bad, but the food was great, only reason it gets 3 stars. I ordered online, and then got a text message that my food was ready. When I got there a few minutes later, they said that they didnt know who I was, and took a long time to find my order slip. When they finally found it, they said it would be another 10 minutes for the food to be ready, but it actually took over 20 minutes. They kept telling me to move around too and stand in a different spot, since apparently I was in the way when I was sitting at the counter.
This was a good burger, but it was just good compared to what Farm Burger (and this class of burger) can be. (To be fair, I may be biased based on overly fond memories of the Decatur Farm Burger from some gatherings with old friends 7 years ago)Most of the fries were really good, but towards the bottom there were some burned ones. The beer was okay (admittedly, not Farm Burger’s Brew—they had a local brewery doing a tap take over, and it was cool to get to do a “pint night” at FB. Buy a pint, get a take home pint glass from the brewery!). The bacon was delicious, but I got about a piece and a half on my burger, and it wasn’t a very big piece.The decor was on brand, everything was clean, and the staff was polite. There was very loud music coming from next door or below—there must be a concert venue there, and that combined with the loud inside music was a bit much— if there had been more than the three other groups of patrons it might have been deafening, but as it was, it was just loud.All in all, it’s not bad food, but for close to $25 on a burger, fries, and a beer, it wasn’t worth the price.
