The tech in this store is literally one of the best techs Ive dealt with across multiple states. Seriously cool dude. Highly recommend, hes by far the best tech in the area.

Its Guitar Center. If youre there, you probably love guitars and love looking at /playing with them. The secluded acoustic room is really nice. The employees were polite and we got what we needed.

The cashier helped me choose guitar strings which was great since I dont know anything about them. Thanks for the assistance and to me the price was reasonable and I bought 2 sets. The center is much bigger than I expected. Satisfied with my experience.

Good place its mainly for high school students and equipment I think. Bought some picks and books here and a guitar. If you are a rocker or hard core rocker you may want to look somewhere else for what you want. The people who work there are friendly. Its not my kinda store as far as music but I will give them a B

Good variety. Its hard to find a place like this where the staff either is busy or sort of preoccupied. I just get my stuff and leave. Their managers last few years have been awesome. I dont know much about the lessons they provide since Im a former teacher of guitar. They at least have better items overall than the smaller shops.

Very knowledgeable & helpful staff. Addison in particular went above and beyond the call of duty to get me the Marshall amp I needed. I highly recommend this store to every musician.

I looked at a very expensive guitar 🎸,a Les Paul, mahogany and bone-white ivory.... It was beautiful... Thank God, I didnt touch...I probably would have purchased it...I have a love for music 🎶🎶.... Im Aware of my needs and wants but, what a incredible sound that awakens my heart...

Best guitar center Ive ever been to. And the redhead girl at the store was as amazing in her customer service just as much as her beauty in looks.

I called ahead last night and verified they had a keyboard case for my new Yamaha that I ordered. The case was on sale and they took an additional 15% off for additional sale discount. The staff member was very attentive and friendly. She made the process quick and easy. She also helped me get the item out to my car, and assisted me in loading it inside. Thank you. I like intimate brick and mortar guitar shops, but unfortunately Asheville lacks one of those (surprising given the awesome music scene here) and Im not a fan of big-box anything. With that said, Ive lately had the hankering for a couple of higher-end Martin acoustics (Authentic Series) so I decided to give the local GC a shot. I was more than pleasantly surprised with the excellent service that I received from the entire staff, but most particularly from Aimee who went WAY above and beyond to make sure that I found the Martin that I wanted,. Count me as a very satisfied customer. Thanks, Aimee and Asheville Guitar Center!

Im not a musician but my friend is so I went with him and its very nice. They have s wide selection of music instruments and accesories. The have different areas set up where you can t try them out.

I bought a used bass from this store online. Customer service over the phone was great. The guy doing the ops and shipping the thing did a better than great job. Ive seen some well packed instruments but this guy really went beyond well packed. I think the shipping company could have drop kicked it down the stairs to my door and the bass would have still been fine lol.

Poorly stocked, and the repair shop is a complete disappointment. Overpriced for shoddy work. Do not trust your instruments to this retailer.

What I liked about this guitar center ( my first visit to this particular one in Asheville NC ) was that I was able to go in and get my new drum throne plus a few other things quickly and efficiently without any hassles or the typical floor sharks that want to upsell you. The customer service was friendly and they seemed to sense that I already knew what I wanted and got me out the door with my product fast. Thanks for your great customer service! And an extra thanks to the two employees there today for your friendly attitude!

Mostly good people, a few are not. Typical nameless/faceless corporate entity. You are better off shopping a local music shop. Its Asheville, after all.

Staff is great but the selection is seriously lacking. Its not bad if you need some gear on short notice, just check inventory first. Check local stores for instrument purchases.

I went in needing some gift ideas for my guitar playing friend and Preston stopped what he was doing to show me several options. Knowledgeable, friendly service, great selection. I left satisfied and with two great gifts.

Super small GC. I know covid has effed everything, but I still expected more than 3 used guitars.

There is a lot to see here with several areas of instruments to see and hear. You can spend a lot time trying things out and talking with the staff. Even if you are not a musician, the stage set up is dazzling and entertaining with lights, turntables, and other interesting equipment here.

Staff was nice and helpful,store was clean and tidy, their prices were great and they carried exactly what I needed.

I have been to guitar centers all over the country for over a decade and this was by far the best experience I have ever had. Zack and Kiy were incredibly helpful and patient with buying some gear I brought in. They even played my band on a Bluetooth speaker on the way out. How cool is that!

Went into the store with no idea of what we were doing. We knew we wanted to buy a fruit loop Edition but we had no idea which one or how it works. The cashier was amazing and helped us out above and beyond. That boy even gave us some tips and general advise as well as made sure we knew all the customer service and technical support phone numbers to call if we needed them.

Guitar stocks today were shockingly low with lots of empty hangers on the walls, acoustics and electrics both. The few instruments I picked up were way out of tune. I guess (and hope) this is all Covid effect.

Thank you to Zach and Dave for all the help.Originally the Greenville location instructed me incorrectly to file a claim on my defective QSCBut the Greenville store didn’t even offer to honor the 45 exchange policy . Unfortunately after a long whirlwind of misinformation from the greenville store and pro coverage, my sub ended up at and authorized repair center for QSC speakers.… But don’t even get me started on how rude the owner of the amp shop is.After dealing with Joe (the Amp shop owner) cursing me out for “wasting his time”, Finally got the subwoofer back in my possession and went to the guitar center of Asheville, down the road from the amp shop .Thank the Lord I made that decision, Zack and DAVE really took care of me and helped fix all of the issues I had been dealing with . They really knew there policies and were able to exchange my defective sub in less than 30 minutes.If only Guitar center could let Zack and Dave handle customer service for everyone, maybe there would be peace on earth.Thanks again my friends ! Happy to have a working subwoofer and all my gigs should be bumping now 🤟Cheers 🥂

It was great!!!! I had amazing service and everyone was willing to help! I was asked about every 5 minutes knowing if I needed anything and if I was up to knowledge of what I was about to purchase! Quinn was one of the workers that supported me tonight with a guitar string repair in under 7 min! I think the support team there and everything that they do. They have made my musical journey fantastic, more then expected. I hope to see guitar center grow in many ways and I see great potential for everyone that goes into the store greeted with smiles and joy everywhere! I think this community once again on the amazing service and I promise to never go to a different musical store in the world!

Do not use the financing option they tell you no interest but send late fees all the time even though I pay a week early. Also I never received my money for the points and no one seems to want to help. I will never shop here again and I will tell everyone I know about my experience with them.

Bought a Martin online fromGuitar Center & went to have new strings & neck adjusted for lower action. They informed me there was significant bowing on top & asked me if it was exposed to humidity which it was not since it has been in the case 95 percent of the time since May. They told me it was Martins problem! Guitar Center therefore knew this guitar had issues and still took my $ & still shipped it! They do not stand behind their products but will take your money!DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!! I am boycotting this joke of a company for the rest of my life & you should too!-Joseph Strickland, leicester, NC

Went there to buy some trumpet oil during COVID-19. They were very serious (in a good way) about cleanliness and I had to wait outside for a few minutes since the building was full. The guy letting people in was taking music requests and it was super chill. Entering the store everyone was super nice and said hello. They had gloves if you wanted to touch the equipment and would sanitize it if you didn’t want to wear gloves. Ended up getting a guitar for my brothers birthday and he got me a bass guitar. Miles helped us out. A super chill guy with John Lennon glasses. Everyone was super nice and helpful especially when helping someone with no musical knowledge. Live in Florida but had such a good time I would debate driving to NC again for all my music needs. Thank again!

I ordered something but I live 30 min away so I wanted to make sure they were open before I came there. No answer yesterday, no answer today. I’ve tried calling 10 times. Very impressive selection and great atmosphere. The drum room by far surpasses any other guitar center in North Carolina. Most of the staff Ive been approached by could use a little work on their professionalism. Most are by far too pushy about their incentives they earn by making a sale. Could be more professional by being more attentive to the needs of an individual. They are far more interested in making a sale than being helpful and informative. As far as the store layout and variety of musical equipment, it is very good work. Prices are decent.

I LOVE gc the staff are amazing.Ive been taking lessons for the last 3 years and still do.I go there whenever I need anything music.They have a wide range of instruments and software.The lessons they offer are gutair, piano, drums, voice, bass, uklally, there are always adding to what types of lessons they offer.I will say i dont agree with some of there polices but they only affected me once so I dont mind them plus there there for your safety.I love gutair center :)

Great selection of instruments but if youre looking for a decent selection of microphones or live audio gear, this isnt the place to go.

I did some research online to see what they had in stomp boxes for bass. I saw that they had an Ampeg preamp and a Seymour Duncan bass compressor. 2 items that I wanted to add to my equipment. So I drove 2 hours to go to the store to check it out and I wanted to get some strings, a capo and to check out what they had in studio monitors since I want a pair that sounds good but that are economical. I was in the store for about a half an hour and no one would see that I needed some assistance either at the counter or the locked cabinet where there keep the effects. I wasnt going to interrupt the intense conversation everyone was having together. I guess that because I wasnt covered with tats or had long hair I wasnt of importance. Sorry guys, I was willing to spend some money. If I go to another guitar center it will either be in Atlanta or Nashville.

100% the best place in Asheville. Great staff, killer playlist, and happy vibe. This store takes covid-19 very seriously. If you are an enthusiastic musician passing through Asheville, this is the place for you.

When I moved to Los Angeles at age 20, I started taking guitar lessons, but had to quit after breaking my collarbone riding my motorcycle up Mt. Baldy! 45 years later I retired to Asheville and the Guitar Center sold me a nice Sea Gull and taught me to play it! I even wrote my own song! Thank you for a happy retirement gift!!😃😃😃

This place is my favorite place to go while Im in Asheville!!! I Love Guitarcenter!!! I got an amp a few months ago and Im loving it!!! I finally got a clean that I like for my Les Paul. Sounds terrific with my Strat.

Much more than I anticipated. I hadnt been into a Guitar Center for at least 20 years. This place was awesome. All kinds of people picking and plucking away, lots of cool sounds throughout, and a huge selection of all things from ukuleles to DJ lighting.

Its okay. Nice staff, decent stock of big ticket items, but the accessories stock is lacking. Last visit I wanted to purchase an inexpensive egg shaker and guitar polishing cloth. Only shaker in stock was 40 bucks and only 1 polishing cloth, that I did not care for. Walked out empty handed.

Just bought my first electric guitar from here. Found one online that was at a discounted price. Got to the store and tried to order it but someone already had by the time I got there. They were nice enough to give me a new one at the same price and I had it home within couple of days. Thank you to the Manager Anthony and his whole team that helped me! You guys are great!

Large store with great inventory and knowledgeable staff

Been doing this music thing over 45 years and have to say the outstanding customer service is second to none. Issues are addressed quickly and completely. Repair tech knows what she is doing. Elisa the best of the best, great simple trade. Management, Jeff and others honor their commitment. If they dont have it they get it quickly. Had what I needed

Abismal! I placed an order for an Akai APC40 MK2 and payed an extra 30$ to have it arrive the next day. 16 hours later I received an email stating that my order had been canceled with absolutely no explanation. After I wasted more time and energy investigating I was told that my order had been canceled by their fraud prevention department. Im now stuck waiting for a week for them to give me my refund so that I can purchase this gear from a legit company. I will never spend a dime with this company again.

The staff were cursing loudly behind the counter where the customers could here and it was very unprofessional.

Great selection of all sorts of musical instruments and gear. It is called Guitar Center but theyve got everything from keyboards to music production equipment. They also teach lessons. The staff are knowledgeable, helpful and patient. Its in a bit of an awkward location but not too hard to find once you get into the parking lot. Dont go toward Whole Foods. If Whole Foods is on the right, turn left. Youll see the eyeglass store called Tunnel Vision and its down in that parking lot nook.

Incredible place!! I took my boyfriend here and little did I know I would be signing him up for Bass Lessons! They teach u how to play everything and the prices are so Fair I love this store so much. Highly recommended

I usually come here for basics. Strings, picks, etc. every so often I’ll come in to do some window shopping. When this location first opened it seemed as if they encouraged that type of thing. But lately they seem to want people in and out with no shenanigans. They keep all the good guitars locked up, and they only have a few amps ready to demo. I know they would happily unlock a guitar or plug in an amp, but I feel like I shouldn’t have to ask.

Im so impressed with the service I always get when I come to this Guitar Center. The employees are always super helpful & polite. They special ordered my synthesizer & still gave me a sale price before I even asked! Intelligent employees that have really helped my husband and I figure out our sound system. Love coming here!!!

I couldnt give enough stars/praise for Matt and Quinn in the Asheville store. They are both super nice, very knowledgeable and made me feel like a valued customer without pushing me in any way. Excellent experience in the acoustic guitar room. A friend of mine who also lives in Hendersonville was looking to buy an acoustic guitar so I suggested we drive to Guitar Center and try a few out. We headed into the acoustic guitar room which was very well isolated from the noisy front of the store. We were there playing guitars for a few minutes when a member of the staff came in and asked it we needed any help. I introduced myself and he introduced himself as Preston. This guy was the nicest gentleman and as a business owner I would hire a hundred like him. He handed us guitar after guitar and never complained about the thirty times I made him strum one so I could hear it before taking it back and strumming it as I made him strum another one I liked. By the end of the visit I knew where he went to college and what his hobbies were. Management, if youre reading this youve done a great thing hiring this young man. I will be back because of Preston.

Customer service is horrible. Id only recommend going there if you KNOW what youre looking for. Young, inexperienced, sometimes pushy sales staff. Not happy going here.

These guys were great. We brought in some vintage guitar s we wanted to sell. They were extremely knowledgeable and told us exactly what they would sell them for and then paid us a more than fair price for them. We stopped at Alans pawn right before and they lied to us about the guitar s and then offered us about 15 percent of their value. Thank you Guitar shop for your honesty and integrity you guys are the best out there.

I’ve only been to this Guitar Center a few times but every time I’ve been it’s been a pleasant experience. I bought my boyfriend a bass guitar for our anniversary a few years back and they were super nice & helpful throughout the whole process. Would gladly shop with them again :)

I really enjoy this store, even though Im not a musician. The layout is awesome and theyre well stocked. The staff is super helpful and knowledgeable especially when you dont know about certain items but buying gifts. Theyre also great about ordering online for store delivery.

I unfortunately had to make a return due to a financial situation popping up. Anthony literally took care of it with no fuss and it took less than 10 minutes. No bs. No gimmicks. This is hands down the best Guitar Center around. Anthony and his employees provide the BEST customer service. I will be back to purchase a guitar once my finances are better. You guys have a customer for life!!!

The first time I entered into this store I was a little disappointed in the size, having shopped the Nashville and Durham locations previously, but quickly realized that didnt matter. Theyre by far the largest music shop Asheville has to offer; with customer service thats great, and fair pricing. If they dont have something you want or need, they will get it to you and quickly. I recently started taking lessons here and I am very impressed. Not an easy task with me either. All there instructors are college graduates, published authors and play or have played in a band. Not just some dudes off the street that know a few chords and riffs. You should also take advantage of there group lessons throughout the week. I play electric guitar but learning new things on the bass, drums, piano (keyboard) and vocals is a plus to me. They also do jam nights and seminars for things like maintaining your instrument and home recording. I know it sounds as if Im employed here but that isnt the case. I used to shop at Music City and Musicians Workshop, both great stores in there own right, but with a limited selection on instruments and a knowledge base that simply can not compare to Guitar Centers. I would definitely recommend this store to friends or total strangers for that matter. Two thumbs up.

This place is awesome! My boys always go here and always get giftcards have to them for holidays and stuff. Tonight my oldest needed a string replaced for his guitar and the main person that does it wasn’t there tonight so Quintet please forgive me if I said the name wrong or spelt it wrong but this young man stepped in and helped me and my son out by replacing the string for us tonight instead of us having to come back tomorrow! Awesome place with super cool staff. massive selection of guitars, basses, keyboards, and microphones. very little in the way of orchestral stuff, but there are other stores around for that. You can run in and grab guitar strings in 2 minutes or you can just hang out and play guitars for hours, the staff are super chill.
