Went there for an oil change and fluids tune up. They didnt fill my washer fluid and I went back in and they never made it right. I know two others this happened to as well.

Not sure what these guys are getting done thats reasonably priced but I needed 2 bolts loosened on my exhaust and then tightened all while the car was on a lift. It was a 5 job, they told me the price would be for a half our of work costing $62 which is just a joke. Took it to another tire place in town, they did the job saying the $62 is ridiculous and after they finished the 5 minutes of work I needed done, they said I dont owe them anything. Just for that favor theyve earned my trust and admiration and thats what a good business should strive for. I wouldnt have even been mad over a $20 or $25 bill from Mr. Tire, but $65? Thats about $780/hr just for labor.

Arrived and wanted an Oil Change and Tires rotated, I also need lawnmower tires mounted.Both men were professional, courteous and prompt.Done in less time than expected with great service. THANK YOU.I have to take this down to a 1 star, after the service we noticed some small oil spots in the driveway, as I looked under the hood the oil filter was loose, took 4 turns w my hand to tighten this.Called the store no apology, basically was told this was my fault and there would be no oil in my car had this happened. Well it did happen, after 15, 20 years of going here as Appalachian Tire, now Mr.Tire, I will never return. On the phone with Corporate as we speak.2019 Impala, used no oil never had a leak until this!!!!!

I have gone here twice and both times their mechanic left oily boot marks on my floor mat. They also broke the oil shield under the vehicle and didn’t even attempt to zip tie it up or fix the issue, just left it hanging. Finally, I told them I thought I needed new rotors and asked them to check it out. They came back and Amanda at the desk said, “yep, you need rotors and pads all the way around, $700.” I received 2 estimates at $500-$550 from other mechanics and I took my vehicle to Quicky Lube in The Plaines. Their mechanics, Eddie, showed me pics of the brakes and said they are like new, that the problem was elsewhere. I will not be returning to Mr. Tire.

Amanda and the staff at Mr Tire saved us yesterday! We were here in Athens at a festival this week and are from the Indianapolis area. I thought I suddenly needed an alignment sandnd called the shop on a saturday morning. Amanda got me in right away.When the issue got progressively worse (new tires needed but then ball joints and tire rods had to be replaced...and the joints were stuck so it was possible that I was going to need an axle) Amanda told me I might not have my Jeep back until MONDAY. We were about to miss the main event we traveled for, not have a way to get around,possibly for days. I was beside myself.But nope. They got it all done that day!! Amanda was able to call in additional help and completely saved us! This event is the highlight of our year. To have missed the Starwood bonfire especially after everything being cancelled last year would have broken my heart. We made it because of Amanda and the staff.If I lived here I wouldnt take my car anywhere else! Athens, youve got a great shop with great mechanics here... A+++ everything! Should I ever need anything next year or any other july to come, this is where Ill go!Thank you!!!!!!

Went for front alignment 2 1/2 weeks ago was told need new iner and outer tie rods on both sides..got that done so went Saturday august 28. And was told the same thing so went somewhere else and got it done. These people don’t know what they talking bout.

Did a wonderful job fixing our car quickly when we were in from out of town and needed to get home.

I called, a woman answers and I ask for a quote. She puts me on hold without even asking for five minutes. Then the call disconnects. I call back 3 times only to get the automated voice telling me no one is available to take my call please try again later. I figure if they are to busy to have good customer service on the phone or for that matter to answer it, they did not want my patronage.

I got my oil changed there about a year ago before pandemic, and I had to wait for about 3 hours in their waiting room😳. Now, I learn that they failed to put oil drain plug back on securely?! I learned this while getting it changed today at a different garage. I also learned that other garages are keeping track of the number of poor repairs done at Mr Tire, they are seeing patterns of unsafe and shoddy work!

I have always received excellent service there. The lady is always polite and helpful. The people working there always explain if something isnt right. You dont see this kind of treatment much anymore. I will continue to take my vehicle there if I have any problems

The website for Mr. Tire quoted me a little under $70 for standard installation with tax out the door. When I got to the location using the same tire they explained to me that I couldnt get it for less that $100. Im not sure where the fault lies but this is a big problem in my eyes.

As someone who obviously has no knowledge about cars, I’ve been taken advantage of by auto shops before. However, that was not the case with this location. They’re handling business during the pandemic very well. Even the chairs in the waiting room are arranged to promote safety! They were pretty busy when I went in, but they handled it really well. They did a thorough inspection and did not pressure me to fix everything at once. That means a lot to me because I don’t usually have the money to fix a lot of things at once. The prices are definitely fair. I didn’t feel any judgement, either. Hazel was very friendly and welcoming. Overall, I had a great experience!

My tire indicator light came on while on a trip back to Minnesota. I stopped at Mr Tire and requested my tire pressure be checked and filled as necessary. The rear passenger tire needed to be changed due to dry rot. I asked if I purchased a new tire could it be put on the same day. The manager said “no problem” and proceeded to ask an employee to replace the tire. He completed the job in under 30 minutes!! Thank you to the Mr Tire staff for assisting me and allowing me to continue my trip safely!!

Very good service center. Staff are friendly and experienced. Reasonable price with free inspections. One important thing is this facility is much cleaner than other places. So if you have a good vehicle, come here so it will be well maintained.Besides, they open on memorial day. Very convenient.

Relatively new to Athens and was excited to get this recommendation from a fellow colleague. Did not have the time to drive to Columbus to go to Sams Club for tires so relieved to know there is a dependable place for tires and general car maintenance work right here in Athens. Amanda provided great customer service and I even get another alignment in 4 months or 4000 miles as part of the coverage. Tires are awesome!! All of the staff were super friendly and helpful. I came in off the highway needing four trailer tires as I had a blowout in one so I wanted to replace them all. They had one in stock but within no time went and picked up three more. They installed them in no time and I was back on the road. Good people who do a nice job. They are polite and care about the customer.

Mr Tire has some of the best customer service in the Athens area! They are fast, helpful, and trust worthy. As a student, Ive had three separate car issues that were fixed within a day. Mr Tire even sent someone out to my house to help me get my car started when having troubles. Highly Recommend.

Front ladies, Hazels and Amanda and mechanic, Frank ( I don’t know other mechanics yet) are not only super Knowledgeable, but also kind, friendly, and fun! I’ve been to different places in the past but by far this place is the best! Wish I knew about this place when I moved here 10 years ago!! I fell in love with this place because of the wonderful stuff members! I strongly recommend this place to everyone but at the same time, I am afraid that this place become way too busy with new customers because I bet everyone would love to come here!

The Staff was super friendly & professional. The Pricing was great which also went alongside with the great quality service. I had my moms car aligned & bought new tires. There was a couple of studs they replaced for free just because we bought new tires from them. This shop has set an example of what it means to be a great business, I will be going back to have future work completed.

Tried to charge $120 to rotate 4 tires, couple days later noticed I have a leak in the same front tire as before so obviously my tires werent even rotated. Walmart would do better for real

I should have known better than to have my oil changed here. Last year I came here and they quoted me 70 bucks on a tire. I came back in the next day to buy it and the woman would not give the same tire to me for less than 115 before tax! I said thank you but no thank and got it somewhere else. Havent been back sinceBut today they were one of the only places open so I made an appointment for 12 to get my oil changed. Here it is 130 and my car has not moved. Go elsewhere if you can.

I came in as a walk-in because my tire had a slow leak. Ms. Hazel was so accommodating and pleasant and got me right in! I waited less than an hour for them to find what was wrong and fix my tire! Ive been coming to Mr Tire for about 3 years now and unfortunately I must take my business elsewhere. That last couple of times Ive come in its taken well over the average to get it done. Today I had an appointment for 10am for a front end alignment. It took till 11:30am before anyone even touched my car. I went to get a coffee and walk around. I returned at 11:40am expecting it to be done only to find out they couldnt do it because I had a spare tire on. I planned on getting a tire from Walmart but had they been the slightest bit timely on the matter, I should have been informed by 10:30am at the latest and thus could have got the tire first.My one compliment is the front desk acted very professional. Long story short, sometimes its gonna take awhile and I get that, but Everytime? And this time an hour and a half before they even get to me even though I had an appointment?? No thanks. Ill be going to Athens Tire Service behind Toyota now.

Took my 20-year-old car here after the brakes failed suddenly. After inspecting it, they gave me a list of things that had to be fixed, things that ought to be fixed, and things that could be fixed. There was no pressure to do it all, and at every step both the front desk staff and the mechanic explained everything without the hard sell you often get from repair shops. When the work was done, my old car drove like a new one. Very much recommended. They do need a big old shop dog lying around on the floor, though, to make it a perfect experience.

I stopped by unannounced with a flat tire. They took it back right away and had it repaired almost before I sat down in the waiting room. The ladies up front were very helpful and the tech loaded the tire and was very friendly and professional. I had a great experience here:-).

I was visiting in Athens this past weekend and when I got in my car, the display screen said that my tire pressure was low. I tried not to panic. Instead, I went online and found MrTire. They could not have been nicer to me. They found the tiny nail, patched the tire and I was finished in less than 30 minutes. The cost was extremely reasonable. I highly recommend Mr Tire!

This place is a life saver! We came all the way from VA to visit family and attend a funeral. Unfortunately in the middle of the night we hit something sharp and one of our tires popped. We called here first thing when they opened and they had our tire in stock. They said come right in and got us taken care of super quick. Such a relief not to have to go through such a hassle while out of town.

Went here after Walmart in Athens refused to fix my sons tire with a nail in it. They got us in and fixed it even though they were very busy. Great place! Friendly and great service. I highly recommend them.

Alignment done by Mr. Tire after I had the suvs suspension apart for a wheel bearing replacement. The appointment time was held, the tech was professional in his work and the price was competitive in the area. I have brand new tires on the vehicle and it steers great after their alignment.

Angela and staff were so awesome to my daughter... and to a very stressed Columbus area Mom. My daughter who is an OU student had a major flat tire. The car was parked at her rental house. My daughter was unable to get through Hondas automated roadside service system to get help. In the pouring rain, she attempted to change the tire. The ground was so soft the car jack slid and the car fell. Thankfully, no one was injured! I called around Athens trying to find someone that would come to my daughters rental house to change the tire. Angela at Mr. Tire was the only place that answered our plea for help. She had someone out that day to change the tire. While changing the tire, it was discovered the car had some damage from the fall. Angela and her staff got the car to their location, made the necessary repairs, and had the car ready and safe for my daughter to get back to her student teaching assignment asap. I brought my old car to Mr. Tire to replace the struts and it was going to cost a lot to get the parts through normal channels, but the friendly, cooperative staff helped me save hundreds on dollars! The struts bolts were frozen due to the age of the vehicle. This could have been easily resolved by purchasing new (expensive) parts, but instead the staff did everything they could do to minimize the cost and get the car back to me ASAP. I really appreciate their efforts!

Just a good community place to come down and hang outWhat started as a good community is more or less the cult of tire now, where you can go and pour all of your money like quick dry cement into car repair. Im not expecting a sudden automotive catharsis here by complaining, but after greasing myself up and squeezing into the pipeline of commercial mechanistry, I can at least give you a few insights: I went ahead and left three stars because obviously they know what theyre doing and the person I talk to is at least always nice, but like basically any other place indifferently charging you money to indifferently look at and fix a problem you tell them you have, the service probably isnt going to take you all the way if you have the kind of run down car I do that has more than one problem. Lots of these good reviews are probably people who gleefully come in to shuck money like corn into a big harvest bin because they have actually disposable income or means to pay to get a car fixed and it doesnt matter if the two grand they paid or whatever for good work ends up being another 500 two months later for another problem they didnt know they had. After getting new tires here when my rotors and calipers were basically rusted to just oxide, I think I even asked how they looked and got told something like theyll last till winter and was back in before the end of summer after the brakes completely went out, and enough money to pay for like a whole year of my rent, there is no this is like having a family member fix your car or something, which if you have a bad car like me, thats basically all you want out of a mechanic (LOL HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAH IM CRAZY IM CRAZY).Lets finally compare this to how things have been going lately, which is to say Ive been driving without functional windshield wipers for like the past two or something weeks after paying mr tire to fix the motor, which in all fairness sounds like it works at least. But anyway its also a little my fault at least because in between working all the time Im a little lazy and kind of bad when it comes to scheduling an appointment on my off day that involves driving across town and I get up late etc, but I go ahead and show up admittedly unannounced in the rain, wiperless after getting off work early (what luck what skill) hoping that 3 hours before close someone will take a look at my wipers which sound like they just need reconnected or whatever, and I might just look up and figure out to do myself at this point, to get told that no theres no one in who could possibly look at and reattach a pair of windshield wipers in this mechanics garage, for the remainder of the day windshield wipers are off the table, and were sorry you couldnt call ahead or whatever and reserve your spot to have the issue you paid to have fixed weeks ago finally remedied today. And of course since i am a good and nice human customer I have no desire to blow up on an employee and beg or complain to them, because why should they be held responsible for something Id attribute pretty much to the culture of the company and that customer satisfaction in the fullest sense of the automotive word is obviously tied to how much money you can throw into it, so I have to be the bad guy and go online and do a pretty big craaaaaaaazy rant mwuhaha

I had an excellent experience at Mr. Tire! They helped me with no appointment and were very kind. The engine cover on my wifes car broke off on one side and was dragging. The vehicle is very low to the ground and didnt come with a jack, so I couldnt get under it to zip tie it back up! I stopped in on my way home from work, and they fixed it at no charge! They earned a lifelong customer.

Took my car in today for an oil change (which I did not think I needed) but my oil life light was coming on. Hazel did some digging to find out what was going on. And I did NOT need an oil change....the oil life button had just not been reset last time. The rotated & checked the tires & fluids for me (all free of charge) & made sure I knew when I do need to bring it back in! Very pleased with my experience~!
