My partners sister goes to OU, and every time we plan a visit, my first question is always Can we get Bagel Street? ITS SO GOOD. I havent eaten inside yet because theyre usually pretty busy and strict about their masks (which I appreciate!), so weve done takeout. But it travels well and always leaves me wondering when the next time Ill have it again will be!

The wait can get long if you go at peak times but the food is fantastic.I also appreciate that they actually enforce their mask rules.

Not what I was expecting, and maybe my expectations were to high? I was looking for place to eat, and was driving through Athens. I often follow the crowds and like to eat at non chain restaurants. This seemed to fit the bill, as we saw a nice crowd around the building and long line inside. Now to be fair this review is based solely off the bagel and cream cheese we each got. First off I ordered a toasted bagel with butter and cream cheese, and requested for it to be extra toasted. My son got a bagel with cream cheese. We both got our bagel after about a 15 min wait (expected long line), but our bagels appeared to be cooked the same (barely toasted) and minimal cream cheese. And when I say minimal cream cheese, I mean minimal. I dont think you could have tried to remove the cream cheese and have less than what we did. Im use to NY/NJ bagels so this is the opposite end of that spectrum for sure. Didnt enjoy my bagel. Was hoping it was better!

Often takes a long time for your food to come out... But I really love their bagels. Most importantly, its such a vegetarian friendly place. And they have a huge variety. Plus the vibes are great, and Im loving the new addon building. Its not too different from the old side, but has a nice new charm.

Substantial and fresh ingredients made for a memorable sandwich. Highly recommended...Im told the Feta is Betta on a Bialy is vegetarian delight. I had Reuben on Onion Bagel. So yummy.

Really good about having people wear their masks right, and their food is really good. Theyre also pretty fast which is nice.

Loved this place, workers were very nice and my bagels were absolutely delicious. I loved the atmosphere and didn’t mind the short wait to get my food. Very filling & great! One of my favorite holes-in-the-wall in Athens. The most delightful sandwiches on the freshest bagels around. My personal favorite is the Phabulous Franks on focaccia. If you’re afraid of making the wrong bagel selection, ask the guy with curly hair; he’s never steered me wrong. The staff is super friendly and usually dancing and singing. Wonderful atmosphere. Stellar music selection.

Best locally owned eatery in Athens. Personally love the Kimmie Gibbler and Pick of the Planet... always on a sun-dried tomato bagel. Wait can be a little long depending on the crowd, but for a local business using local food sources the price seems just right. Love seeing small businesses supporting other small businesses. Atmosphere is great, you can sit at the window and people watch on Court Street or walk a short distance to College Green and eat at the benches under the trees and watch the squirrels

Incredible value for the dollar. They get their bagels from Blocks in Columbus which is a very good thing. Their sandwiches are top notch and grab a pickle while youre at it. Limited seating inside but a genuine good place.

Come here whenever I’m in or around Athens. Great place for a quick bite to eat. Huge selection of bagel sandwiches with a chip selection and fountain drink machine. Always order the roast beef with provolone and it’s always delicious. It’s juicy, flavorful and always hot. Will continue to come here when In the area.

I love Bagel Street Deli! There is so much variety in both bagels and toppings. There is a vast menu including breakfast, lunch, dinner, vegetarian, and dessert options. The ingredients are always fresh and you can see the bagel being made right before your eyes. There are always tasty tunes playing and the culture of Bagel Street as a whole is just very unique.

Insanely good. A while back I got the mihami vice 5 days a week for probably a year. It’s that good.

I cant say Ive ever been here for breakfast, but I can assure it is good ANYTIME of day! The staff is full of character and the interior is very neat for the space they were given. The prices are very reasonable for the portions. I would highly recommend the pizza bagel and the restaurant in general!

Cute little bagel shop with lots of options, including vegan options. Most of their ready to order sandwiches come with cheese but if you ask with no cheese you can make it easily vegan. Does not offer a vegan cream cheese or vegan cheese but there are still lots of great options if youre looking to get something vegan. Anyone can enjoy a bagel sandwich here.

I have been visiting Bagel St. Deli for over a decade and they never disappoint. There are so many menu options that you will find something sweet or savory you like!

Great spot for bagels, as you would expect. I love subs, and the sub options arent that great in Athens, but this is a welcome alternative. The worst parts are finding parking and days when they are busy as there is only one cashier.

Really interesting menu selection. The usual line is because its good. The quick order turnaround is because the staff is good!

When were in Athens its one of the places we like to eat. Food is good and everyone that works there are always friendly.

If youre reading this review, that tells me that you may not have been to Bagel Street Deli yet. I highly recommend that you remedy that situation as quickly as possible. BSD has a uniquely Athens vibe and a delicious product- I bring out of town guests in for lunch and stop in myself whenever I have the opportunity. They have an extensive menu and something for everyone, as well as a bit of quirkiness (employees singing along to classic tunes while working, Pickle Fest, etc). You may take the approach of trying a new bagelwich each visit- but will likely find a favorite that you order again and again. You can make your sandwich a combo with chips and a drink. The menu also features salads and pickles.

Its a very small and quaint place. The bagels are to die for. Absolutely delicious. They have a huge variety of bagels to soothe any pallet. My favourite bagel shop.

Its definitely not bad, but the quality of what Ive gotten has been pretty varied every time Ive gone. Sometimes my meat is dry and overcooked, sometimes its very moist. Sometimes my bagel is just absolutely soggy and wet, sometimes it isnt. Sometimes my food is ridiculously greasy, other times its not. Sometimes it only takes me two minutes to get my food, other times it takes closer to fifteen. Like I said, not bad, but I havent been able to get a consistent experience across five or so trips.

My friend and i have never recieved worse service. They stood there as we looked at the menu for over 2 minutes and never greeted us or helped us. The man with the long ginger hair was very rude and made a comment to my friend. Food was good, but nothing that you cant make at home. $5 for a bagel and bad service is a rip off if you ask me.

Great fun environment, quick line, place was pretty much made for college kids. The options for samdwhiches are unbelievable, the brick walls are covered in the publics signatures which is pretty neat, and they let people stick little origami cranes in the walls which they clean once a month, so sometimes when you come in the walls are plastered in neat tiny origamis.

This is one of the best sandwiches I have ever had in my life... Hands down, second to none! I can pretty much guarantee you everytime I go to Athens from here on out, I will either go there for lunch or take one for the road.They have a crazy variety of bagel sandwiches, I highly doubt you could have the same one if you went there over the course of your life time! 😃Outstanding job BSD!

One of the best things about Athens, Ohio. Full of flavor, fun, and freaky-good bagel combinations. I recommend the Flaming Moe for something spicy, the Balls Deep when im in an Italian mood, or just get creative and build your own bagel!

Bagel Street deli Ive known you for 25 years we just went back today and has not changed much at all. All the food was good we even got food to go for our friends in Cincinnati who have been craving for a mister meat or a Seinfeld.

Not a bad option, but they seem to specialize in pork, so its tough to find something good without it if youre not a big pork fan. Their pizza bagels can definitely use mozzarella cheese instead of provolone and they could toss the bagels in their oven for a little less time, but even then it was still all right. It was my fault for going for the pizza bagel. Id give it another try at some point.

Bohemian bagel-shack. Obviously a building converted from an alley. Classic rock booms from hot and fragrant kitchen. Bagels are quality and range in price. Vegetarian friendly. Chances are, youll get sauce on your phone.

This is my favorite place to eat in Athens. I absolutely love their bagels. However, I have walked out multiple times now because of poor customer service. It seems like the employees are always too busy goofing off to take care of the customers waiting. I have seen employees playing gutair, singing, dancing and just socializing with one another, all the while neglecting the customers waiting for service. There is nothing wrong with having fun while you work, but it is a business, and it deeply disappoints me to see the service go down hill the way it has.

So many different sandwich options! Anything and everything you want (including an everything bagel). The menu is overwhelmingly large, but you can also build your own, with over a dozen different kinds of bagels to choose from.

Some the best bagels Ive had, especially in southeast Ohio. Great prices, quick for a bagel sandwich, and a fun atmosphere make this place especially appealing. The OU bagel and Feta is betta bagel are my two favorites, but you cant really go wrong. Theres something for everyone, savory, sweet, vegetarian, or meat-lover, so stop by and try it out!
