I love my panels from GIK. The bass traps totally changed the way I listen and think about the gear I purchase. The educational material on their website was so helpful in picking and placing the correct panels. Get your room right, get your sound right.

Immediately after installing the corner the base traps, there was a tremendous improvement in the sound, with more focus and clarity. Then I added the 244 acoustic panels and the sound really focused. Very, very happy with results at a fraction of the cost of other estimates. The panels look very nice and actually complement the room decor. I had asked three other companies for a realm evaluation. GIK was the most thorough. Their process of submitting a diagram of your room and they give recommendations worked well. James was very helpful and informative and always available to answer questions.

I’ve been using my GIK folding panels for a few months now and love them. They are incredibly portable and make an even bigger difference than I had expected. Another positive side is that the customer service at GIK is really great. One of my panels was actually damaged while being shipped and they didn’t hesitate to get a replacement to me quickly.

My designer - John Dykstra - 10 stars. Awesome guy, deep knowledge, passion, and dedication.Products - Mixed. The prices is good, the design is good, but the build quality was OK to poor. To GIKs credit, they did take care of the issue and replace panels. I understand they experienced explosive growth in 2020 and were a bit short handed. Hopefully the quality control improves, because they can be a great company.Overall 4 stars, since the designer far outweighed issues with the build quality.

Couldnt be any happier with the experience, from help designing my room all the way down to the panels. When i picked up my panels, a few of the measurements were wrong and they were corrected and finished within a weeks time. Customer service was great as well. The only downside was the waiting time due to covid, other than that i would highly recommend GIK to anyone with acoustic needs

I have a pretty small recording booth, that had some nasty room tones and short reverb. The PIB vocal booth did everything I needed it to in order to get some clean and dry vocals. Highly recommend.

GIK was super helpful in helping me set up my companys podcast room. I was amazed at the amount of advice they gave me for free and they I didnt feel like they were trying to upsell me at any point of the process. I bought their recommended products, which was a lot less expensive than I thought it was going to be and the panels were easy to install, although I didnt use the provided hard ware except for the ceiling brackets. The room has gone from an echo chamber to a sweet sounding not to dead and not too bright sounding room. You could call it the goldilocks room cause it just right!

GIK Acoustics makes great acoustic products for recording studios. I took advantage of their in-house design services too, and this is by far the most effective treatment Ive ever had in a studio. Staff are super helpful, patient, and knowledgable too. Highly recommend!

After reading many great reviews- I reached out to Gus, who was awesome.I immediately ordered (2) 4” Alpha series panels. I was a little skeptical having never used or listened to this product in a room ….. but I know my room.After installing them (easy), I noticed a difference in everything I listened to. Great products but slow service. I absolutely love my GIK panels. They have made a major impact to my room. Their sound experts helped me pick the right products for my room and customize them as needed. The only gripe I have is the slow service. This was a COVID issue I am sure, but it took 2-3 months for my order to arrive. Five stars otherwise.

In my experience, GIK Acoustics is the best acoustic treatment company out there. A designer reached out to me immediately after I expressed an interest in their products. I emailed pictures of my room to the designer and he responded with excellent advice and he showed me where he recommended the different types of acoustic panels that GIK Acoustics has to offer. Since I have an open floor plan with my living room, kitchen, and dining room - not a dedicated home theater or sound studio - aesthetics was my #1 priority. I was able to strategically place 9 acoustic art panels around my room plus 3 Impression Series panels, which are beautiful in their own right. The panels have helped eliminate all objectionable echo without making the room sound dead. No matter what type of space you have, I can highly recommend GIK Acoustics with absolute confidence.

I have a few GIK Acoustics panels in my music room over here in Taiwan. Lindsay from the GIK UK was incredibly helpful in locating a distributor here. My room dimensions are not ideal, but the panels really solved the first and second reflection issues. The quality and appearance are top-notch. The price is good, too. I am not a mixer and have a small room, so could not add too much more in the form of bass traps etc, and also wanted a casual aesthetic. The seven panels I have nonetheless make a big difference even with my modest system. You will hear the difference!

Except for the extended wait time, the care and attention to detail from the GIK staff was first rate. I received the panels in excellent condition and they made an immediate difference in my listening room. Will be purchasing more in the near future. If you want the best manufactured acoustic panels period that both diffuse and absorb correctly get Gik Panels. I run a small scoring and producing studio and they along with my Adam A7xs have been a god send for my mixes and beats Ive made. I trust these panels - and Ive used both homemade no budget solutions up to Gik panels. For my main Studio I go with Gik without question its too critical. On the more technical side of things, I love their Alpha Series panels fabrics and design, they make me look more artsy than I actually am. I got both B stock Alpha panels and the regular ones and there was no noticeable difference for me. If you have the budget get Gik. If you care about sound quality and room treatment get Gik. I live all the way up in Canada and was more than willing to pay the ridiculous import fees - only because they are genuinely worth it. Will I be getting more panels in the future ? Hells Yes. When ? Beautifully crafted, Well designed, And undeniably effective at sound control.But poorly assembled. My screws fell out as I was unloading the sound booth.They are stripped. And the hooks that supposedly hold this unit upright are ridiculously cheap and not well thought out.When I go to the industry leader in Professional sound treatment, I guess I expect to be wowed.Minus the very cool lazer cut shell. Any one of you can build this at home with no experience.So Im unimpressed with construction of this Expensive product. Ordered the Alpha bass traps in blonde wood after consulting with one of their designers.Their customer service was outstanding in response to questions on delivery.Before treatment my dedicated listening room had audible peaks and valleys in the bass as you moved around the room. After treatment the low end frequency response was smooth allowing the full range of music to be enjoyed without distractions.

Without a doubt, fabricators of the finest acoustical products, ever. More so, their software is extremely helpful with room planning. Having aid all that, perhaps the most prominent feature of GIK Acoustics is their out of this world customer servicer. When I had a ready room in my old house, they helped me assess acoustic issues and recommended panels accordingly. When I begun the process of building a mixing room from scratch in an unfinished portion of my basement, they were to guide me throughout everything—including analyzing my REW analysis and recommending products accordingly—all without pressuring me into to purchase or charging for consult. This is the year I decided to take acoustic treatment of my music studio seriously. This led me to purchase a trio of GIK Acoustic panels and Im very happy with the result. I chose panels that are 4 deep, and they came with pre-installed eye-screws and a generous amount of picture wire so you can hang them in either orientation. Theyre solidly-built but light enough to hang on the wall with a typical picture hanging hook. They have a very finished, professional look to them and the difference acoustically was immediately noticeable. Im really looking forward to mixing my next track.

Mike from GIK was awesome. I was skeptical about doing room without a in home consultation but after a few calls and I got him all the pics and video of the room, we really nailed it. I recently had a 2-channel hi end dealer in my room who I didnt buy anything from. He noted how my system took him back to like the first time he had ever heard certain songs. He noted how my bass, tonal balance, accuracy, timber, decay were the best he had ever heard anywhere. This room just pressurizes with the music so well and is dead quite as well. My experience with GIK Acoustics was a real pleasure. From the get go their friendly team had amazing communication and help put me in touch with one of their room/acoustic designers James. Nothing was to difficult, after making many changes of mind and emailing back and forth for weeks we finally decided on the best treatment for my room and budget. I had to ship everything from the U.S.A to Australia which did take some time, as to be expected, but when the shipment arrived I was super impressed with the quality, acoustics and overall design and look of these products. It completely fixed my rooms EQ which was horrible before the treatment and looks so good on camera which I was after also as Ill be shooting YouTube videos in the studio. A+ GIK would recommend to anyone. Thank for all you help. Very happy customer.

I don’t believe the 5 star reviews. I ordered my panels in March 2021 didn’t receive them until June 3 2021 . The panels weren’t a special or custom made order nothing spectacular but it cost me money to keep my studio closed because they lied saying my order would get here by May 19 . They gave me a refund of $95.00 then told me by the week after it should be here, my stuff didn’t get here completely until June 3 . Asia lied and said that she was going to help get a partial refund for our order but I was settling for 200$ but I didn’t even get that I got a total of $128.00 . Keeping my business closed cost me more that that . It’s not worth the wait of stress I’m pretty sure there better companies with better prices that know how to conduct business and not lie to there customers. The general manager Christina wasn’t any help she lied as well and try to beat around the bush about the refund . I’m sending the panels back and going to Acoustimac what I ordered will be $250 cheaper and They are rated A+ in the BBB 100% guaranteed they have more reviews and better rating.

Overall, Im very happy with GIK. There are a lot of options for audio treatment and I took a long time to decide what company to work with. The prices were midrange but the quality is upper midrange. I bought 16 panels - mostly bass traps but also diffusion panels and a portable isolation booth (it has both bass trapping and diffusion). The service was excellent -they were very responsive by email and phone. There are lots of tools on the website to help you plan your treatment but they steer you towards talking with one of their experts. I thought I knew what I wanted but I have to say talking to John Dykstra one of the designers, was amazing. He paid attention to my room limitations and goals and he suggested a custom bass trap along one end. At first I was hesitant, thinking this was an upsell, but I gradually figured out that John was completely on my side. He really wanted me to have the best space and ultimately it didnt cost much more than additional panels. The custom panel design made the room much quieter and looks great - it set the aesthetic for the whole space. The designer was careful to have me come in UNDER my total budget and shipping costs were not bad at all.Only a few small issues. It took two months for GIK to make the panels - not too big of a deal. One set of panels got lost in shipping, but again GIK was easy to talk to. The bass trap panels and diffusion panels have super solid build quality but the portable isolation booth can be improved a little. The latch mechanism can be more sturdy and the velcro stabilizer could more of a metal hook and latch. Also (aesthetically) the hinges on the portable iso booth look cheap - I mean they do their hinge job but this thing stands out in the room. GIK should spend 2$ more per hinge to bring the aesthetics up to the same (high midrange) level as the diffusion panels. I replaced the hinges with some fancy angular ones - I guess it bugged me:) In the process of replacing the hinges I was pleased to find out that the paint job on these panels is freaking durable!Anyway, the room sounds nice and controlled without being dull or dark. I feel like I spent under budget and got good bass control and diffusion that will last a long time. Would recommend to absolutely anyone in audio.

I wanted to update my home studio with acoustic treatment. After two months of research I decided to use GIK acoustics for my needs.I purchased some square Impression 2 panels customized with Mahogany finish in blue. They look amazing and they are well built. I also purchased blue tri-trap corner bass traps and a pair of brown 244 bass traps to cover wall corners. I also got a pair of black Monster bass traps.After installing the panels I notice music listening and mixing sounds better. I notice less echo and the bass response is more defined and tighter.Im glad I made an investment in GIK Acoustics. I will definitely will purchase more Impression panels to finish treating my walls. Wow, extremely poor communication and service... I purchased over $2500 in product from them in Feb and as of the end of April, still dont have a ship date. I called up a week ago and asked again the delivery time and was told they would call me and update me in 2 days. No call, no update. When I called again to get an update, I was told a further date out again! I told them that this is not acceptable as theyre to be used in an office and business has been on stand still waiting on them. Asked for some assistance and none was given. Decided to cancel the order and the rep did not hesitate to cancel the order (which if they were ready to be shipped a rep would try to keep the order). Would not recommend and would not ever use again.

These panels are as good a quality and effectiveness as any other brands at a much better price. They were very helpful with their setup recommendations made after I sent them panoramic photos of my home theater space. I highly recommend them and will be getting more treatments soon. I am continually amazed at what I hear seemingly coming from BEYOND the confines of my small living room while listening to my simple 5.1 speaker setup.

Have a living room with hardwood floors and a 10 foot ceiling -- LOTS of echo. 8 GIK 244 panels killed off the mid-range muddiness without deadening the room. Even my wife noticed the improvement!

Overall, excellent products and customer service. Was gifted a non acoustically ideal room for a home theater and music listening, 15 x 16 x 8. Had a professional calibrator determine the acoustical issues which were excessive low frequency energy, room modes, excessive reverberations, reflections, abnormal mid to high frequencies, extended decay times. Reached out to James. L at GIK who formulated a comprehensive treatment plan. Lo and behold I added additional tuned bass traps and equalization to deal with persistent low frequency mode and the results are spectacular! A clear, detailed enveloping sound stage, focused, articulate dialog, balanced, powerful, non resonant bass and LFE. Couldnt be happier, money very well spent. Life is short, enjoy!

I have been using GIK products pretty much ever since I started to get into the production/mixing business. First I ordered simple panels and bass traps for my home studio set up and right away I was able to hear the difference. What has always been impressive about GIK is that not only do they offer great products, not only do they know what they are doing, they are also constantly releasing more and more information about acoustics, and their products, they are informing people in general about what acoustics are all about and HELPING you make better choices to perform better. For me that has been the most important and valuable part of GIK. When I was finally deep in the industry and was able to afford building a studio in Wynwood, in Miami the studio designer brought in his people to do everything including all the acoustic panels and work, first it was extremely expensive, second I felt like we were being sold something. I reached out to GIK and they build all the panels to the specs the designer requested, but beyond that they were so helpful, so invested in our order, communication was fast and productive. Once the panels arrived and were all installed, the designer came in and checked the room and the acoustics and we we all very impress by the quality of the product and how well it worked for each room of the studio. Our studio is used daily by major acts, many songs that have charted have been either written, tracked, or mixed in our studio using GIK products and I`m forever thankful.

GIK products is the king! After using couple other brands of panels, GIK really solved my rooms issue. Now my 5.1 surround room is treated well and sounds amazing. I mixed in my room, and bring my music into theater for final mixing. It still sounds the same great! High recommend !

I use GIK Acoustics bass traps in my studio, the sound improvement is immediately noticable, and theyre easy to install.

Starting out with a bare room, when I set up my system but it was unlistenable: echo, poor bass, and the music sounded more like jumbled noise than music. After consultation with GIK, I added stacked Tri-Traps to the front corners, a pair of 244 Bass Traps on each side wall (at first and second reflection points), and three PolyFusors on the rear wall. Once I did this, the music snapped back into the sound of real music, as if the performers were in my room with me. No more echo, balanced bass response, and a nice, wide soundstage.

Horrible customer service. Will be seeking legal advice and damages unless someone reaches out and corrects the charge on my credit card.Never received anything, never refunded my credit card charge. Total nightmare for working musicians with home studios. I would caution against using this company for sound treatment.

Really great product and does what it is supposed to. Im just trying to figure out how to put some led lights on the bottom. They are lighter than expected but heavy enough to use heavy duty hanging hardware.

Quality products with excellent guidance from GIKs acoustic professionals

The quality, both construction and acoustic, cant be beat for the price. I love my panels (242s, 244s (full rage and range limited), Monster Bass w/ diffusor). Everyone that comes to my place to listen to music is in awe.

Panels took a long long time to arrive. When they did they came with no means to mount them. I called to get suggestions on how to mount them but they were not good ideas. The panels look good but from a practical sense they are a poor design.

I ordered my GIK Acoustics panels just before the coronavirus hit and got to install them during the quarantine period. I received excellent advice from James Lindenschmidt at GIK Acoustics. Our living room is used for stereo listening, movies, dancing, and game playing. Its a hub of activity for our home. I have Model 242 spot panels behind the main speakers and at the first reflection points on the side walls. I have a pair of 2-inch Spot panels on the ceiling to catch the first reflection points there. Finally, I have six Model 244 panels at the wall/ceiling interface on the side and rear walls. These panels have made a wonderful improvement to the overall enjoyment of the room. Its not subtle, either...everyone can hear the improvement when talking in the treated room compared to the adjacent untreated dining room. For two-channel listening the sound stage has come alive with better detail and no listening fatigue due to too much reflected energy. Im writing this review to let people know that GIK Acoustics panels arent only for audiophiles with dedicated listening rooms; there is huge benefit for general purpose rooms such as ours. Whether we listen to Birds by Dominique Fils-Aimé or Disco Inferno by The Trammps, our room sounds better with the GIK Acoustics panels. And the improvement is all the time, even when the stereo is turned off. Conversations are more relaxed and board games are more pleasurable when the harsh echoes are tamed. Im very pleased with the patient and professional technical advice I received prior to placing my order. The build quality of the panels is excellent. And the improvement in sound quality is huge; a modest investment in these panels has given me next level hi-fi performance without any upgrades to source components, amplifiers, or cables.

As an industry professional I cannot recommend GIK enough to all my clients, colleagues and apprentices looking to improve their recording/mix rooms and monitoring accuracy at a reasonable price point.GIK makes excellent panels and traps - the best value in the biz short of making them yourself. I am a repeat customer and have been doing business with GIK for over 5 years. I personally have over $4k of treatment in my mix room and have many colleagues who have treated their entire rooms as well with GIK products very successfully. Great customer service and the acoustics consultation service will make any professional feel at home and taken care of no matter what the challenge.

Best studio produce in the game...Hands down.

I have two sets of their Impression corner traps they have helped in taming some of the slap echo in my somewhat smallish room. I know that this room needs some more treatment which I will do in the near future and will very likely be using more gik products.

Great service, and the PIB (Portable Isolation Booth) I purchased is nice looking and provides great sound quality. My issue with it is its difficult to keep standing upright as it only has these tiny hooks that are supposed to hold the weight of the top panel to the bottom. They often dont hold!

Ive been using GIK acoustic panels in my homestudio for 7 years. I use 244 panels for the front wall, 242 panels for the first reflection zone, tracking area and clouds, monstertraps and diffusors for the rear wall as well as tritraps in the corners. There are no surprises when taking my mixes to mastering. GIK products work as advertized and come at a close-to-DIY price.

I’ve been recording professionally in studios since I was 19 years old, so the moment I decided to build a studio space in my own home I knew the value of quality acoustic treatment. Fantastic Panels - Got the Alpha series - its functional & great for aesthetics. Besides improving the sound in my listening area (tighter bass and less echo), it also makes a very cool conversation piece with guests :-) Great customer support. As an architect and high-end audio and movie enthusiast, I was delighted to design this home theatre/music room for a client in Marbella, Spain.The constructor was Penanc, owned by Peter Meirsman, a master craftsman whose family has had a Royal Warrant for five generations in their home country of Belgium. The Penanc team also built the bespoke wooden cabinet that houses the records, CDs and Bluray/DVD collection.The basic concept of a ‘room within a room’ facilitated acoustic insulation between the brick exterior walls and internal plasterboard walls. Penanc also constructed a six-inch thick acoustic door with a stepped threshold.A dedicated electrical spur from the main fuse box uses a breaker box and wiring from Russ Andrews in England. Kimber Kable is used throughout for the interconnects and speaker cabling. Equipment supports are Audiophile Base and SRA, while the Magnepan 2.7QR two-channel stereo speakers and REL S3 subwoofer are decoupled from the room by Townshend Audios Seismic Isolation Podiums.The client was emphatic that the room should not look like a professional recording studio, and extensive research showed that GIK Acoustics could provide the most aesthetically pleasing products for the job. The only compromise comes from the fact that this room has to house a cinema at one end and a two-channel audio system at the other. The client elected to optimise the room acoustics for the audio system, which is used more than the cinema.GIK’s Soffit Bass Traps fill the corners flanking the 120-inch Stewart screen, with Tri-Trap Corner Bass Traps in the corners at the stereo end of the room. The wide range of fabric colours available meant that these traps could be ordered to match the matt black wall around the screen at one end and the maroon wallpaper at the other.Impression Series Gatsby Absorber Diffuser panels were placed on the long walls to help mop up any stray sound waves. These panels and the bass traps were ordered with Scatter Plates for even frequency distribution. GIKs Lukas Rimbach was very helpful during the ordering process and had the Soffit and Tri-Traps made to custom height. Delivery was on time in well packaged shipping cartons. The products are well made, look great, and perform exactly as promised.Toned to match the wooden skirting board and the light oak finish of the storage cabinet and the frames of the Magnepan speakers, the Gatsby Impression Series panels add an interesting detail finish to the room, and contrast nicely with the maroon wallpaper.GIK Acoustics made a significant acoustic and aesthetic contribution to a dual-purpose room that continues to impress both the clients and their visitors.
