Everything you need for new and returning scouts. Also, the staff is fantastic, very nice and they know what theyre talking about. Its pricey, but thats not the fault of the store. Again, cant say enough good things about the staff!

What a convenience to have for all the Scouts in the area. Nice selection of Scout uniform and award related gear mixed with general purpose camping gear. Personnel working here have always been very nice and helpful. Located inside the Scouts HQ building, so park in the corner of the lot nearest Trust Park then enter through the main entrance with the glass doors.

I cant imagine trying to buy Scout clothes online. The staff are perfect and happy to help. There is a ton of cool stuff here. Not always the best prices but its worth not having to get it online.

My favorite store! Anything Scout-related you need, you will find here, or they will help you find it and possibly order it for you. They even offer sewing services to hem Scout pants and sew on patches for uniform shirts and Merit Badge sashes! Yes, please!! I spend way too much money here. 🤑

The staff are great and the store was nice, but at no fault of the store - the cloths fit like trash bags. Absolutely terrible. They should tell corporate to figure it out. My kids might quit because they look like idiots wearing the uniform.

Great store stocks all of your scouting needs

I walked in to buy 2 uniforms for my 6 & 10 year old. It’s my girls first time and they loaded me up with so much stuff my ticket price for both uniforms $390.00. To be honest they haven’t even used them and they are sitting in the closet. The store was nice and neat and organized well. The staff member I worked with was very nice. I just wish they would show the new member the actual basics first. The scout building was sooo beautiful.

It was well kept and clean. Everyone was wearing masks. However, it was a little pricey.

Generally friendly and helpful staff. Little pricey for the product but somewhat expected for a dedicated market. Convenient enough location (as long as a ball game is not going on). Usually has what you need for scouting.

A great place to get anything and everything for scouts. Lots of helpful people. The scout store is a national store so is larger and better stocked than most council stores. Note that the road in front has more traffic since the stadium went in, left turns are harder to make going in or coming out. Do be aware of braves games or events at the park.

Very helpful staff quickly got me on track with what I needed for my newly crossed over scout. An in-house person was able to quickly sew on new scout numbers and patches. I received help with merit badge books in terms of required and elective badges for Eagle rank. I benefited from a coupon too. Lots of nifty camping gear and bargain tables were set up. Huge selection of cub and boy scout books, clothes and themed items. Leadership books and suggestions on where to get me and my scout trained. You can even pay to park here for a Braves game.

The staff was incredible helpful and friendly! Due to weather slowing traffic down and a Braves game I got there just a few minutes before closing... not only did they not seem put out by this but they sincerely encouraged me to take my time. They helped me find all the things I needed, gave good suggestions for things that would fit each request I had, and were just generally awesome.The store had a huge selection which was a blessing because I was able to lay hands on things and try items on to see what worked best for me... no website can do that!All in all it was well worth braving Atlanta traffic to go to the shop in person.

Laid out nicely but can be busy and if you dont know what you need as a new scout, it can be overwhelming. There is usually at least one other person that is more than happy to assist, but Id they are busy helping others, you may have to wait. That being said, it can still take time to go through and peruse the store and all of the many things.

***SEPT 2016 Traffic is heavy in this area as a general rule, and there is a lot of construction going on due to the new baseball stadium being built, so use caution***While I do find this stuff a bit pricey, the store part was well organized and clean. It was busy but the employees were helpful and attentive anyway.Talk to your pack or troop BEFORE going to find out what is the norm (can vary from group to group). For example my sons pack doesnt care if he wears the BSA shorts or his own, and provides neckerchiefs.I noticed there was some other fun parts of this building my scout would enjoy that depict stone history so I will be bringing him down when we need to be in the area.

This store is very organized and the staff there are very knowledgeable and super helpful. They will guide you in whatever sizing youre trying to figure out or patches or products you might need.

Pretty expensive items. But I got everything I need for my son, a full uniform is close to 145dls. The cashier was very nice and help me to find everything I need.

It may be a hike away from me (about 30 minutes) but its worth the drive; you can find anything from badges to pants to even pocketknives. Its all reasonably priced. Ive been through the BSA system now for 10 years and Ive done all my shopping through the Atlanta Scout Store

As others have said, a great place to get needed supplies for your Scout. An amazing building (the Scout Shop is a tiny part of this large BSA facility) located directly across from the new Braves Field, so factor in Braves traffic with your visit. Ive been there many times over the past 8 years. Without exception, the staff was friendly and polite, and if they dont have what you need as far as scout gear, youre not going to find it anywhere in a store locally. Ability of the staff to operate the register (computer terminal) and conduct transactions varies from moderate to strong. If youre not in a hurry for a scout shirt, they offer sewing services (it takes a few days) and you can get a complete shirt with everything sewn-on, in the right locations. D-I-Y is a bit of a hassle, especially at first, and youll need a sewing guide to space things correctly-- search on-line or look in your scouts book. I suspect they will also alter pants-- Ive never asked. This is especially where you want to go for larger and smaller-than-typical uniform sizes. The few alternatives just tend to stock standard sizes.Theyre pretty much the only game in town, apart from the somewhat limited shop on the Burt Adams Scout Reservation (with very limited hours). And if youre on the south side of town, there are some Moyes Pharmacy locations which sell the basics as well, but the actual BSA Scout Shop has 10x or 20x of scout needs for Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts.When its Pinewood Derby time, Hobby Lobby, Michaels Crafts, or even some Ace Hardware locations have a variety of supplies for you, but the BSA Shop has far more-- an entire large section of anything you can imagine for PWD. When your Boy Scout needs Merit Badge books, they normally have them all. Theres a huge wall covered in every imaginable badge need. Going to camp and need a Merit Badge kit? Again, youll only find it here unless you want your child to wait and buy at camp, where they may run out of kits.As to the cost? Yes, theyre expensive, but the prices dont vary from this store, to on-line, to Bert Adams, Moyes Pharmacy.Youre gonna pay retail, or youre gonna buy used somewhere. Some packs / troops maintain a system to share outgrown or otherwise unneeded uniforms with other scouts-- maybe worth asking about.As to overselling, the problem is, what is expected for a uniform varies from one Cub Scout Pack or BSA Troop, to the next. Some Scouts wear the entire uniform every meting. Some just wear a shirt and leave it at that. Go to meeting or two where youre joining and find out what is expected, then tell your store (or shop on-line for) what you need/want and no more. By default, they do tend to sell you the works.One other thing to remember, Cub Scouts grow quickly. You have a choice-- buy a much-too-large shirt for your young Cub Scout they can grow into, or you get to replace that shirt in a couple of years and move/replace, potentially, a LOT of patches...

We went in as first time scouts looking for a shirt and patches. We had bought all of our other stuff used in an attempt to save money, because were on a budget. The guy at the scout shop informed us that everything had been redesigned and we could not use anything we had purchased used. When he showed us the new design, we pointed out that it wasnt terribly different from the old design and didnt understand why we had to buy all new, but he told us that our child would not be in full uniform without it and everyone would notice. He made it very clear that we were choosing between following the rules and social ostracism. So instead of putting our child through that, we ended up spending $100 on new stuff after spending $40 on the used stuff, meaning instead of saving money, we paid MORE than the average scout does. I was really upset.Well, just today, we went to our first in-uniform meeting, and guess what? Half the den had the old pattern, stuff they had inherited from older brothers. And you know what else? No one said a word to them, some of whom were the sons of leaders, about not being in proper uniform. But our son wore the new stuff, and got it dirty, so it isnt returnable.Our experience with the Scout Shop definitely cast a shade over the beginnings of our scouting experiences. Hopefully, well find the individual pack and dens more understanding.

I love doing in the Scout Shop. The people are friendly. Everything you could possibly want for camping exploring or learning is in there. More often than not one of the staff members can actually tell you how to use all the little gizmos and gadgets they sell because their Eagle Scouts or have been.

Very nice scout shop (not the most conveniently located as this is a VERY busy area of town, especially with the new stadium) I just picked up a new scout shirt and all my patches. I chose to have the shop sow them on and it was ready by the next day.
