The meatballs were great! I wouldve like mine cooked a bit longer. I did not try the spaghetti, but if youre with a friend get both and share them. Another patron close by had the spaghetti and it looked really good. This place gets packed rather quickly. I sat at the bar, the female bartender was definitely putting on a show and the drinks were great. The male bartender, however was overwhelmed. I would definitely come back.
Omg! Me and my husband sat at the bar and it was our 22nd Anniversary together. These three people made our experience all that and some. Bartenders Ariel, Jamie and we never got the third bartender name but we named her Slim (she has the nice dreads). When I tell you they are so professional, nice and attentive. If y’all go make sure you say (Shay & Sunshine) highly recommended you all! The pasta GREAT! The drinks AWESOME! It’s a vibe for sure!
Certainly one of the best Italian restaurants I have been to and the closest thing to fine dining you will find at Ponce City Market. They feature a full à la carte menu with à variety of delicious pasta dishes and a fairly extensive wine and cocktail menu. Portions are larger than they appear and one entre is definitely large enough for one person, even if it may not appear so initially. I had the polpo - squid ink pasta with braised octopus and calamari in a spicy tomato sauce - with a medium body red wine and a piece of their focaccia bread and enjoyed every bit of my meal! I would have changed nothing about the meal I was served, which is a rarity for me.The service was attentive, friendly, and very knowledgeable. The decor inside seemed nice but I chose to sit outside since the weather was nice. Sitting outside may not be for everyone since there can be a lot of foot traffic and homeless people asking for money. The prices are definitely not cheap with my meal, for one person, after tip coming out to almost $50. I will certainly be back though.
Solid Italian fare in a relaxed environment with friendly service. It’s a great place to people watch bustling about the Ponce City Market. The Georgia Shrimp with green garlic tagliatelle, lemon, herbs, gremolata and Parmesan was hearty without feeling too heavy. The Carbonara was fantastic. Again, it was hearty without feeling too heavy because of the Bucatini. The roasted potatoes were crispy and delicious, with a lot of garlic. A nice way to spend a some time while sipping wine.
We ate at the bar we started with the meatballs very tasty the bread it was served with good. I had the Milanese and I loved the presentation. The fried chicken cutlet was covered in a lovely arugula salad, capers, radishes and tomato butter all of the flavors married very well I paired with a gin based cocktail and finished with a chocolate cannoli.
Drinks were very good, especially the Mezcal mixed drink is something Id recommend if you like smoky drinks.I think I picked the wrong menu item, the carbonara is what I was going to get at first and seems everyone likes/recommends it, but unfortunately I changed my mind and shouldnt have. I had the sausage sandwich, it was okay, but nothing super spectacular.Be prepared to pay good money here, for 2 drinks and 2 lunches it was $82.
Service is off the charts here, although we werent able to pay a corkage fee which was unfortunate they handled it very nicely and recommended a lovely wine for the table. They offer delicious gluten free pasta with almost all of their dishes. The food which is obviously the highlight was infact that, cooked to perfection, flavors married together in perfect harmony. You will not regret stopping here for a long dinner, or to their deli to pick up their pastas and sauces. Oh and for the braver souls they even have pasta making classes!
Got the ravioli, polenta, and artichokes. The food was actually quite delicious. Ravioli had a very nice flavor to it. The polenta was very rich and buttery, so dont eat it every day, but still tasty. I am not a fan of artichokes in general, but my partner enjoyed them. Very lemony. Only downside was the portions were a little small for the price.
Ordered via Uber eats. Everything smooth and quick on that end. Was a little skeptical- not tried this place. Italian is hit or miss in Midtown. Got the Ragu (basically tagliatelle bolognese) and Cesar salad. Wow. Pasta very nice. Perfectly seasoned. Very rich and flavorful. Pasta tastes homemade and gravy slow-cooked and complex.Cesar salad was good. Kind of basic, but tasty dressing and greens. Nothing overpowering. Nice to have after the pasta.Very good. Would return.
This place was amazing. Homemade noodles to die for. Great salads. Neat space located inside Ponce City Market. Various gourmet food stores that you can buy as well like noodles, cheese, chocolates, seasonings. Right across from a beer place. Best of both worlds. Amazingly good food except for the regular spaghetti. Don’t even bother!
I’ve been cooking all kinds of pasta dishes during the pandemic, and suffice to say this is the best pasta I’ve ever had, period. I highly recommend their Octopus(Pulpo) pasta if you’re lactose intolerant and likes spicy food. The layers of flavor segue into one another. Definitely will recommend to my friends.
Brandy and Micah were superb!! Great customer service!! Greeted me with a smile! First visit here. I tried the Italian Mac and Cheese and it was delicious!! I will be back!!
Food was sublime. Service was great. The atmosphere is very relaxing in the wine bar and it is nice that you can see them making the pasta. We had the braised short ribs which was mouth watering- excellent choiceBreaded chicken with salad on top and the squid ink pasta.Everything was just amazing. Definitively a place for an airport layover.
The prices are very reasonable, the music was so relaxing, and the environment is so eccentric and calm. I had the pleasure of being served by the amazing bartender Corey and he made such great recommendations for everything, I didn’t have one thing I didn’t like! I highly recommend the hand crafted cocktails💕
The charcuterie board was amazing and the spaghetti add meatballs was too. Custom drink I ordered was perfect and continuous. Great time as always
The food was good until I found part of a blue rubber band in my food. For how much I paid, there should have been better quality control. There is no excuse for cooking a rubber band in a paying customer’s food.
One star means I wouldnt go back or recommend while five means I would go back every chance I get. This place was nothing short of amazing. Before I say anything about the food I have to mention the cocktails. This is one of those fine places that shouldnt be said to have bartenders but rather mixologists. They had some of the finest cocktails I have ever had. Have everyone at the table order a different one of their specialty cocktails and please share. My favorite was the dude looks like a lady drink. The food was also extremely good. The appetizer meatballs were nothing short of perfect. They were firm yet incredibly moist. The pasta is made in house and you can definitely tell. Our entrees were incredible. I will be returning very soon.
Im italian American from n.j.Food delicious 😋Chef Todd with Oliva on jacket walking around touching food with mask dangling. Not good
If you go here, get the squid ink pasta!! It’s so good and every time I’ve went the service has been amazing and the food comes out hot and fresh.
Great place for well thought out and crafted Italian food, wine and desert. They make great use of fresh pasta, seafoods, fruits and more to create new twist on Italian classic dishes and desserts. The menu is very well thought out featuring there best dishes without overselling the experience. The Georgia Shrimp pasta dish is fantastic. It’s both rich and balanced at the same time. A must try.
5 star service from the hostess to the bartender. I didnt know that most merchants at PCM only accepts cards, and of course I only had cash. Well, an exception was made and I was able to enjoy a beautiful glass of Nero dAvola. Thanks team for a wonderful job!!!
Bellinas noodles are the best Ive had since Italy. The menu and ingredients reflected traditional Italian fare. Fresh, vibrant, and simple. Also, by far the best service Ive had in ages. Our server was so nice and could see our family was a little tired. He helped make our/my day so much better.
My boyfriend and I frequent Ponce City Market from time to time while walking the Atlanta Beltline because it’s truly of one Atlanta’s hidden gems. I’m a huge foodie so any place where there’s food I’ll be there. Bellina Alimentari deserves all the recognition they’ve gotten because the food is divine. The juices we got were delicious all though a bit pricey and the pasta was simple, but executed to perfection. Not a place to go if you’re starving, but nice for a quaint lunch or dinner with friends or a loved one. Great atmosphere and excellent service. Definitely worth the visit.
Food was really good, tried the spaghetti carbonara. We went around dinner time and the weight wasn’t as bad as expected, we waited about 30minutes for outside seating.
Had the craving for some Italian food recently and decided to come back to Bellina. Its just as good as I remember it being. Usually always get the Ragu, and it was great. The portions arent too bad, but the taste is on the money. Pasta is cooked perfectly. After the Ragu and Pomodoro, we had to order some more. And in the end we were stuffed. Service was super nice as well.
If you wanna go to a place where the servers have attitudes, food is subpar, and where they let ppl cut in front of you. This the place where you want to be. Not only did the serve Brittany had a disgusting attitude, but the manager tried to justify her attitude.Wont be eating here again.
GA shrimp was excellent. Service was great, the staff are very friendly.
Place is wonderful. The mixed drinks are divine and change regularly. Dont get me started on the food. I have been coming here for the drinks for the past 4years and only plucked up the gumption to eat here today, and let me tell you I regret not eating here sooner!
The food was SUPER SUPER DELICIOUS, but The cannoli wasn’t good. I didn’t like the dessert we tried tiramisu and cannoli, but the cannoli was the worst
Vanessa saved my date, somehow was forgotten about when we were sat by our host and saw others receive service before even though they were sat after us. Vanessa saw our ‘hangry’ and confused faces, without question took our order and our dessert ‘Panna Cotta’ was complimentary because of the wait. First time 10/10 will be coming back ☺️
I rarely do reviews but I felt like I needed to make this one.. first... they told us there were no tables available to sit.. when in reality there were.. more than one family sat without even going through the waiting list.. second our server was very unprofessional and took forever to take our orders. Including dessert. The food was ok, but they were prioritizing others before us. (We were a group of Hispanic, all girls). Also they kept on telling us to sit in the back and order ourselves when in reality they had more than one table open to sit in the main area. Worst money I’ve spent.
Best Italian in Atlanta hands down. Been eating there for almost three years now and they never disappoint
I know my review can be considered bias but I Im giving my review as unbiased as possible. I am a former employee of Bellina alimentari and I wholeheartedly support the quality and reputation that the restaurant upholds. The food, wine selection, and preparation is amazing along with the ambiance and location. However, the staff that works at this restaurant is terrible (management mainly). Working here was a different experience than dining. I loved working at the restaurant, serving the food, and everything. From a costumer perspective, the service is the worst I have ever experienced when you have a problem. If you dont like the food they dont care and will kick you out if you have a problem with that. The servers can be inattentive and thats due to their training. Dont come here if you want to try something new, dont come here if you want to have a relaxing glass of wine and work (youll slow their table turn), and dont come here if you use to work here. Unfortunately, if you left a bad taste in their mouth (regardless if you meant to or not) you are not welcomed.
I’ve come to Bellina a few times for drinks. Last Friday I wrapped up last minute items for work at the bar and ended up having dinner there. I started with a Lady Killer, which was recommended after letting my bartender know I wasn’t a fan of sweet drinks. Great recommendation! In fact, I ended up ordering two. The portion size for the bread appetizer was more than enough for a party of four. My wife ordered the pasta shells with pork, our friend ordered the tagliatelle, and I ordered the arugula salad. Each dish, again, was quite large and extremely flavorful. The pricing is no different than any other restaurant in the area. Plus, you are in the city so expect a spike in prices. The waitstaff was extremely informative and attentive. We will certainly be back again - and not just for a liquid diet!
I tried the Ravioli this time it was a bit of a chew to it but the sauce was nice.. I prefer Georgia Shrimp with the Tagliatella pasta or the Pomodoro. Spaghetti 🍝.This time I chose to sit in the area to receive service but wasnt pleased with the service, the waitress did a poor job didnt even take time to remember to serve Me my Sprite. The bartender was most helpful. I will just stick with to go or self serve. I like watching Him make the pasta.
The carbonara was so good my mind was forced to expand to hold a larger understanding of how delicious great pasta can be. That gave me a bit of a headache, and Ive had to go up a hat size, but it was totally worth it.
Lovely experience! I came late on the 4th of July. The host kindly let me know that take out was the only option available bc of the holiday hours & Daria helped me with menus suggestions. The service was great, the food was delicious. Thank you to all involved & happy 4th of July. Thanks for being open. 🇺🇸🎉💥
Meh, lousy food and mediocre service. They have just overpriced pasta, low nutrition with carb overload. No vegetables or meat choices in their pasta other than shrimp or octopus. 16 dollars for a medium sized bland plate of spaghetti with tomato sauce was way overpriced for what was delivered. We ordered the bread from the list of appetizers, and it came cold with some stale olives. Avoid this place if you care about what you eat.
Definitely one of my favorite places for pasta in Atlanta! Their menu changes once in awhile but always get the carbonara and ragu if it is on the menu. We also tried the shrimp pasta and squid ink pasta last and it was all so good. You honestly can’t go wrong with any of their choices. Service post-covid has gone down a bit, but I think I’ve grown to be more understanding of those working thru this difficult time in public places. Highly recommend stopping by if you are at PCM!
Pasta is my absolute favorite food. I came to this restaurant the other night for some alone time and to indulge in a plate of pasta and have a few drinks. The Carbonara is phenomenal! I had a drink paired with basil that went nicely with my pasta dish. The only reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 is that the restaurant was out of the ingredients to make the second drink that I requested on the menu. Instead I was suggested the Manhattan. The drink was a bit strong for me but the presentation was lovely.
So much to love about this place, from the fresh house-made pasta, to the extensive Italian wine list. Patio dining is plentiful and the staff is always accommodating. Great for large get togethers (book a private party in the Culinary Club through their events coordinator) or for an impromptu date night. They have gluten free pasta as well as vegan options, kids options, and wonderful imported meats and cheeses. Dont miss out on the secret menu items: Spaghetti and meatballs and cacio e pepe.
Passed by this when I was on my way to Ton Ton, saw someones plate and made a U-turn because the food looked so yummy. I give it three stars because while the food was visually pleasing, the service left something to be desired - especially at a restaurant where I tipped on the upfront at the register before being serviced. The server dropping my food off didnt speak or acknowledge my presence, just slid the plate in front of me. A simple hi there, did you have XYZ? Great, let me know if theres anything else I can get for you would have sufficed. There was never a checkin to see how I was doing or if I needed anything else. The pasta looked pretty though.
Amazing food and service! Stopped in for a quick bite before our walk on the belt line. The flavours and quality were outstanding. The decor is fabulous. We stat inside but the patio would be fun to. Food came fast. I would go again. The Ponce market has a really good atmosphere. We got the carbonara and one of the sandwiches. Fabulous!
My husband and I always eat here when we fly out to Atlanta and the pasta is always fresh and the service is great. The environment is also completely stunning. We try new things every time and it’s always amazing!m. Cant wait to go back!
Okay. Let me preface by stating that whenever I travel, I search out things that truly matter. Real, true cocktails matter. Bellina...matters. Exquisite hand crafted cocktails. Meat & Cheese boards that would make an ordinary restauranteur blush with indignation. Sam & Chris who stand behind the bar, seamlessly keep the beverage skids greased. Although they both are clearly mechanical in their precisioned craft, if one were to spend a bit of time finessing from these guys, their observations, anecdotes, and encylopedic knowldge on how they strive to put forth the perfect drink...one would feel wiser and enlightened. Bellina is now etched into my must go to schedule, permanently...whenever I am in Atlanta.
Husband and I walked the beltline trail, and peaked into this restaurant for a weekend lunch. We like the option of either casual dining, or formal dining options. The wait for food wasnt nearly as bad as we thought, considering the crowds. The pasta was fresh. We ordered the spaghetti and carbonara. Both were very good. The ingredients are very fresh. The reason for four stars.....the pastas could have had a tad bit more flavor. Overall, wed eat here again.
Had the Pulpo. Was cooked perfectly it just didnt have much octopus for the price. The staff were great and service was very quick.
Got the polpa which was amazingly delicious! Would return just for that alone. Squid and octopus was cooked very well! Enjoyed my cocktail as well(:
My friends and I had to add some extra seasoning to our food. Otherwise, it was decent. Its a cool vibe in there but seriously, it doesnt take much to thoroughly season your food, especially for an Italian restaurant.
Ordered carbonara dine in and shrimp pasta to go, got the shrimp in about 20 minutes, took almost an hour and multiple times checking to get the carbonara. Carbonara was under cooked and underwhelming. Given free tiramisu because of the wait, which was also okay. Shrimp was better than the carbonara despite being takeout and heated hours later. Its a shame my first impression is like this, hopefully not a common experience. I recommend getting takeout.
It was my first time coming to tBellina restaurant in Ponce market. The dish I ordered which was basic spaghetti, but the pasta was very thick and not to my liking. I asked could I exchange my dish for something else. I was told that I could not exchange it and that it would not be taken off my bill. I have never had a restaurant tell me that I had to keep something that I don’t like! This is supposed to be an upscale establishment, but they don’t even hold themselves to the same standards as a fast food restaurant. Needless to say, I will not be back there again. But they will definitely be hearing from me again! I can’t stand establishments with poor management or piss poor policies!!
Some of the best Italian in Atlanta. Everything on the menu is delicious. The potatoes, burrata, carbonara, ragu - everything is super yum and high quality. They also have a great selection of wines. They also make their pasta in-house and you can peek at it thru one of the doors by the bar. Overall great ambience and place for Italian.
Small portions. but the food is good.
Food was excellent. I had the Shrimp pasta.
Two star service. Two star pasta. They even charged for the bread and the butter. Not coming back.
My favorite hand made pasta place..I love the Ceasar Salad I always get the Carbonara..Always consistent and good.
Either Im not as much of a foodie as I thought, or the food was really bad. I ordered the pomodoro, which I anticipated would be made with zesty, fresh tomatoes. What I got was a small $14 plate of really gummy, too-big -for-the-sauce spaghetti noodles in a homogeneous orange sauce that didnt taste balanced--unpleasantly tart with not enough salt, olive oil, basil, or (gasp) sugar to texture the flavor. Between the orange color and the off taste, I have to throw the ultimate low blow and say honestly that it reminded me of Chef Boyardee. Then, it was covered with a really creamy cheese that congealed like a skin on top of the noodles and didnt mix in at all. Maybe this is how they do it in the Old World, but I was NOT with it.The experience was bad, too, but I cant blame that completely on the restaurant. I was confused. There was a sign that said For Table Service, Go To Wine Bar, so when the young lady at the counter asked me if my order was for here or to go, I knew I didnt want table service, so I said to go--which I didnt really want. So I ended up wondering the food court common area on a crowded Friday night with a foam carryout box, looking for a seat, finally finding one, then discovering they didnt give me any silverware.I am adding one star to my review for the benefit of the doubt--food just doesnt taste as good when youre staring at a support column, balancing on a wobbly stool (round two after going back for silverware) in a noisy food court, having awkwardly waited for 15 minutes for a gourmet food experience in the non-existent waiting area of a hybrid full-service dining / fast casual / market setup. Maybe in a couple of years Ill try again.
ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!! went here for the first time today and it will not be my last. Wonderful, knowledgeable staff made the experience top notch. The carbonara, and pulpo was so fresh and tasty. The pasta was perfect. Misto board was wonderfully crafted, the cheeses are incredible. Love that you can stop by the market and pick up cheeses and meats! I’ve found a new favorite place, a must try!
I come here weekly to sit at the bar. I always enjoy the fontina meatballs, the portion and flavor make a complete meal. Wine selection and cocktails are on point. Lizzy at the bar always has great suggestions introduces me to new spirits and wines. The atmosphere is relaxing and the prices are fair for the quality.
Impeccable service and even better food. We will definitely be back. The carbonara was fantastic.
Very good service & great food! Good wine selection.
This place is amazing! Top quality goods and even better customer service. Im never disappointed with my visit here and am always excited to return.I really love how down to earth and personable yet knowledgeable the staff is.They sport a great cheese selection but my favorite by far is the fresh craved prosciutto all done by my man Kevin.I swear by this guy, hes a seasoned craftsman who cares about your experience and makes sure you leave satisfied everytime.TLTR: This place is awesome! Ask for Kevin! Best prosciutto in town!
Absolutely delicious! We hit up the seated restaurant are in the back with the wine bar. We sat at the bar top towards the end. I had the carbonara and the hubs had the rigatoni. We also shared the polenta with meat sauce. The Carbonara was my personal fave, followed closely by the polenta. The staff was nice, but very distracted. It was a bit hard to get any follow up or attention during our meal. I wanted a second glass of wine, but they never came back to check on us, so I just ended up having the one. Not a huge deal, but notable. We didnt do dessert here as their was a section for desserts in the marketplace and we wanted to venture. They did have some really tasty sounding offerings though!Overall: ADelicious pasta and polenta. Try the Carbonara with the egg on top!!
Ive visited twice now and this visit was my first dine in experience at the bar mid day. I was a little apprehensive about a cocktail, but I took the leap and the mixologist Chris over delivered! It was a whole vibe and truly set the tone for my meal, meeting and my day! Ill definitely be back. I loved my shrimp pasta! The charcuterie platter is calling my name... Next time! A great place to dine with care to practice social distancing! 💪🏾🙌🏾❤️
Pretty good food - solid service solid food just pricey due to being in Ponce. Limited menu
I ordered the shrimp pasta. With tax and 15% percent tip, it came out to about twenty dollars, which was expensive, especially for the portion size, but not at all unexpected for Ponce. The first bite was amazing, but as I kept eating, I realized that I was glad the portion was small because it was too rich for me to eat a larger amount. When I finished, there was a small puddle of olive oil in the container. If you are looking for an indulgent meal and you dont mind spending some money, this is a great place. If not, maybe choose another spot in the food hall.
Wow the servers all ignore you, knowing there will be a mandatory 20% service fee due to covid. What a fantastic way to leave a bad taste in your mouth. Waited a solid 30 minutes just to get our tabs and no one ever came by to refill our glasses. Better off skipping out on this place considering all of the other restaurants around.
Every detail amazing from staff to food quality to service a rare gem I will frequent! Try the squid ink pasta you will thank!
