Went here for the first time and was definitely surprised with the experience. It has a “whole in the wall” type of location but well worth the adventure. The ice cream was amazing, the young lady who helped me was hilarious and knowledgeable. I think I found my new favorite ice cream shop in the city.

The smell of fresh made waffle cones greets you when you walk through the door. Your first decision is cones or not cones...but the smell makes it harder to say no. The cones come plain or dipped in chocolate. And that choice is easier to decide on then the flavors. The ice cream has amazing flavor and a fresh quality about it that I loved. Definitely worth the worth price and navigation of a very small parking lot.

I’ve been coming here for about four years now and I love this place so much! After getting some good pizza or pasta next door some homemade ice cream always hits the spot! They have the most unique flavors and the staff is always so friendly! You can tell the ice cream and treats are made with so much love!! And the strawberry shortcake is amazing and huge!

I usually don’t make reviews but let me start off by saying the ice cream is wonderful. However this review is for the customer service. My family visited the Ormewood location around 1 or 2 on September 26. My son is deaf and has terrible social anxiety but we are trying to teach him to order on his own. When we got to the window I shared that with the cashier. She was so kind and patient. She did not speak to my son at all. Instead she just listened to us and she even used sign language. It’s so amazing to see companies that can accommodate for different people because it made our experience wonderful. She was a beautiful girl with a beautiful soul and I could not be more thankful towards her. We will definitely be coming back!

Was in town to visit a few friends. Heard so many great things about this place. Tasted a bunch of great and innovative flavors, but I settled in salted caramel. It was the perfect balance. The young lady was rude. She acted as though she didnt know I was standing and waiting. Then when I trapped in the window to ask are you gonna take my order. You then say we only take 1 order at a time???? Why not say that when she saw me standing and waiting. Horrible customer service

My family and I found this place after a visit to the zoo. We were amazed. The lady working the window was very knowledgeable and upbeat. And the ice cream was amazing. I had the best malt I ever had in all my 35 years.

The creativity of the flavors is incredible, and for the most part the “unusual” flavors are hits. We had dulce de leche, blueberry corn cake, ginger and coconut, and sweet potato pie ice cream. The ginger and coconut flavor was amazing - they use real ginger and it’s the star of the show rather than an afterthought. The blueberry corn cake was a miss for me, but the other seasonal flavors were definite hits.

Not my first time since last review. However did drive all the way from the Southside to only find out before 5pm they did not have any pineapple for the price not so cheap banana split. Should have posted a sign to prevent ppl from Susanne in the rain only to find out 1 of the main staples is out. Please do better wasted gas and extra chocolate syrup didnt make up for the pineapples. Caramel salted was good though

I was really excited to come here but costomer service is really bad. When I came today I got the saluted caramel and it was so delicious. Great job for the taste. Whenever I go out I try to make small talk with employees just to be kind but this girl was very rude. She pretended as though she didn’t hear my questions. When I asked if I could pay for sprinkles at the pickup window because I forgot when I was ordering she just rolled her eyes and gave them too me. When she gave me my cone our hands accidentally brushed and she said “don’t touch me”. It was an accident and I definitely didn’t mean to so I thought it was mean and her bosses should know. These are not the type of employees you want.

Beautiful Sunday evening today! After visiting with family and our grand babies, my son-in-law suggested that we visit one of their favorite places forice cream-his treat!! So, without hesitation, because when he says something is the best...he knows what hes talking about - hes a foodie. Just wanted to post my 5 star review because it was delicious! Its really good ice cream. Very high quality, very smooth, very nice.Nothing to do with the pandemic, theyve always been counter-serve. You just have to sit outside and eat your ice cream. So its hot out and your ice cream is melting rapidly.

This review has been edited, please read to the end. I heard about this business thru neighbors after asking around as to where I could get an ice cream cake for a neighborhood child whos parents are facing some financial hardships. I didnt even know it existed. I read the reviews before I decided to go and was convinced I should visit.This was a huge mistake. Upon arrival I went to the window which had a line of customers, I wait patiently thru a few people being served and then when its my shot at service, I step up to the window. The gentleman says, Ill be back and shuts the window in my face. I continue to stand and wait, a girl returns to the window and I ask her that if I buy a cake, will they write Happy Birthday on it for me. Her response is nah and she closes the window and walks away.So much for the glowing reviews. I wont be returning.EDIT : After speaking with the owner/management at this location, they absolutely took my complaint seriously and turned a bad situation into a good one. Im very impressed by the way Morellis handled the incident and made things right in a very short time. My sincere appreciation to them for turning this around. Ill surely be back again.

I just want to say it has taken me 28yrs to decided to stop here and Im mad that I waited so long...The icecream is exceptional Im going to try everything on the menu.

The one star is for Morellis’ service. The ice cream is great, Service not so much. This location is in my neighborhood. We’ve put up with slow service for awhile even before COVID. Today, 7/5/21 was not only slow, but the worker was rude. They had trainees so the wait wasn’t as much an issue as the attitude of the worker. I don’t know her name. She was a white girl, black hair, and she took orders and payments. After I waited 20 mins in line, she advised they were out of all non-dairy flavors and strawberry. I said it would have been nice to let the people in line know what flavors were no longer available. She had an attitude and said I don’t know what you want til you get to the window. I just walked off. That was precisely my point, Since lines were wrapped around the parking lot, customers would appreciate an announcement of flavors no longer available so they don’t have to wait til they get to the window after 20-30 mins to learn the flavor they wanted isn’t available. Improvement is needed in customer service.

Drove around for ten minutes looking for a parking space. Wasted two minutes watching a woman pee on the pavement while her car blocked my access to the rest of the parking lot. She finally moved and I saw an empty space, which she took. Its frustrating because the last time we came here the ice cream was great, I just wish theyd start ticketing and towing the people parked in handicap spaces without a hang tag.

The line was long. I was charged for a cone when I asked for a cup. The issue was resolved, but I felt bad making the line wait longer. Asked for a non diary flavor and got a dairy flavor I didnt order. My boyfriend enjoyed his strawberry pound cake sundae, but we had to ask again for the extra toppings we ordered. The product is good, service is a mess.

Save your money. Small scoops, mediocre quality, high prices. Stingy and greedy must be the corporate motto. Lots of choices around town that put this place to shame.

I got the brownie sundae. The brownie was so thick and delicious. They give you a good amount of ice cream too. We went on a Sunday evening and the line was kind of long and moved slowly but it was worth it! There are outdoor tables if you want to sit and eat. I definitely want to come back here!
