East Atlanta is great place to take your motorcycle to get serviced. Chris is very knowledgeable and works quick to get the job done right. Shanna was awesome and very detailed. The staff is very welcoming and their pricing great. I recommend this place to any one that is looking for a place to take their motorcycle to get serviced
Being in automotive sales myself, I can appreciate excellent service from East Atlanta Motorcycles. Every time I bring in my bike for service, I feel like a VIP customer. Keep up the good work you guys!
Really great knowledgeable folks. Took a used Tao Tao scooter there got it running great. Asked for information on this type of scooter Young lady was very honest and confirmed the reviews that I had read.Took a second bike to these folks they knew what was wrong just based on my description of the issues i was having. Just plan awesome service and knowledge about scootersThanks
Oh boy where do I start? i dropped off my 2010 ninja 250 for a valve adjustment and to have them take a look at my chain, as it kept coming lose. I was told to give them a week to complete the service and so after a week I called to check in and see if it was ready.I was told that the mechanic who had been working on my motorcycle left for vacation after starting to work on my bike and i would have to wait for him to come back and finish up. pretty inconsiderate of them but whatever, i couldnt do anything about it. I called back after another week and was told the bike was still not done. after this point i called every other day to see whats up with the same result.so after yet another week I am told my bike is ready to be picked up. I pay the $375 that they charged and took my bike home. literally the next day my chain snapped off as i was pulling out onto a very busy road. luckily i was fine but it couldve been much worse. i called and reminded them that they told me my chain was fine but they wouldnt even cover towing to get my bike back and replace the chain.two weeks later i go to replace my spark plugs and notice that half my fairing bolts were either missing or the wrong type of bolt. i cant believe i let these guys work on my engine.I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS SHOP
Friendly and knowledgeable staff. They are good, honest people which is hard to find these days. They were able to repair shoddy work done by Atlanta Motorcycle Works. Dont get the names confused. I will be taking all my business here and recommend them to anyone.
Great customer service, but got my scooter fixed here. 3 weeks later its not working. Thanks guys I had to walk 4 miles in the rain and now I have to deal with this s%
I have taken by Phantom and my like200 and no problems. Oil change is cheaper than any place else. If you have to fix your bike you need to bring it somehow to the store. They will find a way to get it running again. So, it is better to stop by. Good luck.
Honest friendly people in a humble shop. They took the time to methodically diagnose and fix a problem with my motorcycle.Whatever legitimate issues previous reviewers had, the people in this shop have certainly taken steps to improve their quality of service.
The best shop i have been to. Friendliest Bike shop employees in Atlanta. They have gone way way above and beyond working on my bike, helping me out and honored every bit of their warranties to an extreme degree. Thanks
They do quality work, offered friendly service, and gone above and beyond to make sure everything is running and driving properly. You can find good service here and if youre looking for good people, too, this is the place.
Great crew of people that have always helped me out when I needed anything motorcycle related. Anytime I needed some knowledge about my bikes they were able to help. They were always able to order any replacement parts for any of my bikes as well. Great group of mechanics at the shop and have referred many of my friends in the area to take their bikes and scooters there if they ever needed anything. Keep up the great work AMR!
Not a fan for my older bike. Took it there a few years back and didnt like the way they treated it. Mint condition tank didnt come back in great condition...on a visit to see how things were going I saw it just sitting on a shelf rubbing up against metal... Figures. My fault for trusting someone with my baby...
My wife and I bought a 1978 Honda CM185T for our son a few months ago. We looked for a shop to work on it but none of the places near where we live work on bikes that old. One day I was lucky enough to come across East Atlanta Motorcycles on the internet. I called up and spoke to Shana, who was incredibly friendly and told me that they specialize in older, vintage Japanese bikes. We took the bike to the shop a couple of hours later. When we got there, we met Shanas brother, Chris, who is the owner and mechanic extraordinaire. After speaking with both of them, we knew we were leaving our bike in amazing hands.Communication was excellent from the very beginning. Shana always let me know what was going on, what the bike needed, how many hours of labor it would be and when the work would be completed. I not only spoke with her, but with Chris as well, and Jesse, another awesome technician who worked on the bike. All of them explained in full detail, step-by-step, the work that was being done and why it needed to be done. I even stopped by the shop a couple of times and got to see some of the work in progress. We picked the bike up this past Saturday and it is beautiful. They did a top-end rebuild, replaced the carburetor, replaced the fork/dust seals and generally did a variety of cleaning, adjusting, setting and fine-tuning.I have read some of the other negative reviews that have been left and I can honestly say that my experience with this shop has been nothing but excellent. This is a family-owned business with incredibly knowledgeable people who are so passionate about what they do. Look no further. This is the shop you want to go to.
A bit pricey, but well worth it. They did quality work and explained the findings of my repair well. Friendly staff. I would definitely recommend for a trustworthy repair
We have relied on these people for years prior, back when they were handling scooters. They were some of the only people to handle work for the cheap Chinese scooters in ATL, and they always did a great job and a reasonable price. Now, they are focused on the motorcycle market, but they have still gone out of their way to assist us as older customers. Yes, it can sometimes take a little while to get a part or they have a wait due to demand, but they have always done quality work, offered friendly service, and gone above and beyond to make something right in the rare case something goes wrong. you can find good service here or there, but if youre looking for good people, too, this is the place.
The singe worst experience out of any of the service industry establishments Ive ever needed to utilize. (Im not going to contact you, I want to have nothing to do with you anymore in fact! The name is fake to protect my identity, and so that I dont get screwed even more next time by one of your buddies)
These guys really know what theyre doing. Theyre fast and thorough so the $80 per hour labor is a lot cheaper than going to some place that charges $65 an hour but takes forever. Theyre very helpful in explaining whats wrong with your bike and they dont suggest any unnecessary repairs just to make money. If you had to choose between going here and All-In Customs, come here. Should I ever need another repair, Im coming here again.
Just had a fantastic experience with Atlanta Motorcycles & Repair. Took my scooter in for maintenance. They took their time to explain everything and were incredibly friendly. My scooter was up and running in less than a week. Very pleased!
Ive gone to these guys a few times now for work on my 1979 Honda GL1000 and they have earned my business every time. The techs are highly competent overall, but Ive been particularly impressed with how willing and able they are to work on my old Honda, which most dealers either wont do or will charge an arm and a leg to do. I dont own a Chinese scooter, but that is also one of their specialties that apparently nobody else wants to work on. I read some of the negative reviews before writing this one and they dont paint an accurate picture based on the several times Ive used these guys. I guess you cant please everyone. Their prices are fair, the techs are very knowledgeable and obviously take pride in what they do, and they dont look for excuses to charge additional labor hours like dealers do.
Please do not use this place! We took my mentally disabled sisters scooter that she uses in our neighbor to this shop for repair. When we went to pick it up the refused to take my Credit/Debit card even with my id. He said “I refuse to accept this” My first and last name it took long to fit on the Credit Card so the card companies allow me to use the short form of my first name. The state of Georgia prints part of my name and allow me to sign the same shorten version of my name in the signature line. This is not a new thing I am 53 years old and have always had to do this and I have never had an issue. TSA allow me to fly, I am been to many counties in Europe and Mexico never had an issue. When I tried to explain to the owner he explained to me the only people who complain are people who are thieves. I said what! I was shocked! I work and as IT manager and I have worked for the same company for 20 years. I have taken care of my mentally ill sister for the last 20 years. I was floored by him manor and accusation. I was forced to go to the bank and with withdraw cash. When we return he continued to act as if I had gone out and robbed a bank to get the money. He was just on a power trip. He had wanted to purchase the scooter when we brought it in but we said no. He said it was a great well-made brand. We still said no thank you. I think he was trying to force to be unable to pay for the repairs so he could keep the scooter. I have NEVER be treat so badly by any business owner…… Please BEWARE of this shop!!!!
I have been using this company for over 4 years. Started off with a scooter and moved to a 250cc motorcycle. Chris and his staff have been helpful to a level I cannot put into words. Its much more affordable to go with ATL motorcycles than any other company and theres a great turn around time which helps when a 2 wheeled vehicle is your only means of transportation.
Worst shop ever do not go give this place your money. I made an appiintment to get my tire changed when i show up after riding across town to get their they tell me they cnt do it bs dnt waste your time
Overall, I was not very impressed with my experience at East Atlanta Motorcycles. I dropped off my bike after it sat all winter with a request to clean out the carb. I requested an inspection to ensure the safety of the chain, tires, and other parts of the bike. They cleaned the bike and returned the bike in working order. The tech told me that the wheel was a bit hard to turn. He did not mention that it was because the fork seals were blown.I took the bike to another shop (Bedlam Werks in Athens Ga.) to repair the fork seals among other things. They noticed the carb was not clean, so they cleaned it again while the bike was apart. Thanks Bedlam Werks! The rates at East Atlanta Motorcycles are high for the quality of repair I received, but they do get a second star for returning my bike in working order.I would advise anybody considering East Atlanta Motorcycles to choose another repair shop unless they have literally no other options.EDIT:After I posted my initial review, the shop owner contacted me and expressed that he wished I would have contacted them immediately afterwards rather than taking it to another shop.Said he would have made things right, but unfortunately there is nothing we can do since I already finished the repairs elsewhere.I bumped the rating up one star for the customer service.
Take my track bike wheels to East ATL Motorcycles for tire changes and have always had great service!
These guys have been wonderful. Quality work at a reasonable price every time. Would recommend them for any type of scooter or motorcycle.
I have reached out to Atlanta Motorcycles & Repair on two occasions now(both of which were phone calls).I first called 3 months ago to get an idea on what might potentially be wrong with the Piaggio scooter that had recently been given to me. It was not starting and had been sitting for a few years so I really wasnt quite sure where to begin as I had no scooter expertise. Within the first 3 minutes of the call I was appalled at the manner in which the store representative communicated with me. He not only had a condescending and demeaning tone, but also illustrated very little care/patience. To top it off the estimate he gave me just to begin considering finding the problem was over $200 dollars.A couple of months later -- After finding another scooter repair nearby I was able to nearly get my scooter fully restored. Turned out it just needed the carburetor cleaned, oil, and a new battery for a very reasonable price. The one other issue was the starter. I needed to get the part myself, so I figured I would call Atlanta Motorcycles & Repair to see if I could simply get it orderd....Upon calling I was questioned 3 times about whether I had just called and told that the only way for me to get a part was to bring the scooter to the store! What kind of business model is that?? Additionally, he too began bashing whomever had done work on the scooter previously.Ultimately, I would say shame on me for calling back a second time in what would total out to be about 10 minutes of my life that I cant get back. Im also still trying to get the starter issue resolved...
Would recommend them to anyone. Very friendly and helpful staff. my bike went in with minor damage from tinkering in the driveway and they work all the kinks out and had it ready by lunch for a very reasonable price. I will be bringing my bike and future bikes to them.
Best place to go for anything on two wheels from scooters to super sports bikes
Nice folks. Great service! These people know their stuff.
Quick service, reasonable prices, smart mechanics
What a RIP OFF!! was quoted $200 or less for throttle cable replacement, tune-up, oil change and reconnect rear brake. after them having it for a week, what I got was the throttle cable and a oil change for $300. comes with a 30 day warranty though? there warranty consisted of giving me advice on what I should do to the bike instead of them doing the work that was supposed to be done in the first place. so if you want to be overcharged, overlooked, and not have the work done on your bike that you brought it in for, then this is place to go. seriously, arent there any good shops out there that are honest and do actual good work so I can ride with peace of mind knowing that my bike has been taken care of? if so, please let me know.in response to east atlanta motorcycles response to me. i have/ and had full coverage insurance on my bike. i did not have a tag on there at the time. so that statement you made about facts is incorrect. also, nothing was done to tune up my bike, the original reason i brought it to yall. test driving it would have helped but yall did nothing to tune it up. then charged me for 2 hours of labor to put in less than 12 scews back in and claimed yall assembled the bike for me. the only thing you installed back was the seat and air filter cover. someone that has no idea what there doing could accomplish that in 5 minutes or less. on top of that I didnt request that to be done in the first place. yall lied to me just to overcharge me and never did the work i brought my bike in for. that makes yall a dishonest crooked no good bike shop. and just for the record. i had to put the bike back together because nothing on the bike except the seat and cover was touched. so i took what yall put on off, then assembled the actual bike then put the 2 things yall put on, back on. took me 16 minutes for all mentioned. i wouldnt trust yall to touch my bike, any of my bikes ever again. people lay bikes down due to shops not doing what they say. you should be ashamed. try honesty, itll get you a lot further a lot faster.so again, anyone looking to take there bike here? theres a reason this place has the worst rating, and the worst reviews out of ALL the bike shops in and around Atlanta, and theres a lot of shops. seriously, check them all out in maps or google, its a fact. the last 10 reviews this place has, 5 of them are 1 star with pissed off customers. this place sucks. save a lot of money and get your bike actually worked on by going somewhere else. this place is nothing but a joke that aint even funny. good for nothing. thanks for reading. 😁
These folks are legit. Reliable, honest, quick, and affordable.
Ive called everywhere, I have had a terrible experience with a shady dealership that upon the time of sale offered me a 1,400 $$$ extended warranty, well when I was there recently I was told they dont work on my Scooter, insult to how dare they, they tried to soft sale me on another bike??? the fing nerve!!! I see the mixed reviews, but I have no choice when its time to at-least give these guys a chance, ive spent weeks an called as far away as Savannah and Pensacola and nobody and I mean nobody seems to work on these 2007 Aprillia Scarabeo 500ies, so today at least I can say 1 company does, lol!!! the girl on the phone was very nice & friendly an seemed sincere, we shall see, I hope im a future good review instead of some of the serial killers ive read here 2day,lol...
Awesome service, very responsive through Facebook and text!
I took my DRZ in for a carb clean and general look over. They charged me less than quoted for the carb clean, and checked in with me to recommend a brake flush and new air filter. All in all the service took a week, and I was warned when I took it in that they were backed up. Im happy with the service provided, I will be returning if my bike needs more work done.
Super helpful, non-judgmental, come here with any questions I have about my vintage bike
Great place, staff was very friendly and helpful. Immediately went above and beyond to help me with my problem.
Do not bring your motorcycle to this shop. I asked them clean the carburetors on my bike. It was running horribly once I picked it up. They broke the choke lever, so now it wont stay in the down position unless you hold it there. They even told me to my face that my bike was a piece of crap. Extremely unprofessional. It is sad that Atlantas only motorcycle shop inside the perimeter is not worth going to.
First of all these people had my bike for three weeks and when I finally got upset and wanted to bring my bike to someone that knew what they were doing they told me they wont ever work on my bike again..... Like I was going to bring it back to them anyway.
Great service repairing a brake reservoir and pad change on a 2008 Triumph Thruxton. Im glad they are close to EAV.
Nothing...100 dollars for an oil change??shouldve walked out on you then but decided to give you another go at it, so i paid for your bs diagnostic only to have the bike act up one me. I fixed it myself because you wanted yet ANOTHER 100 just to TOUCH the darn thing...no, it aint no deathtrap, i ride it daily., your worthless mechanics are more apt to get me killed because they did .not .bleed.my back brakes whatsoever...ive owned several bikes i may be stupid but i aint no dummy...ya i gave you the middle finger in the parking lot cus ur a punk...gimme a break...
Great shop and knowledgeable staff. Parts are decent priced as well
Although they couldnt help me they point me in the right direction
These guys saw right to the heart of our problem, and fixed it in minutes. Great group!
Good technicians, fair prices, excellent service
Best place in Atlanta! Above and beyond service.
Very helpful, love this place!!
Called 30 mins. before they closed got voice mail. Left a message. 2 days. Still no response.
Friendly and affordable
Friend got the bike back with both tires flat, a dead battery, loose handlebars and no mirror.Bike was in the shop for four months....
Horrible! Kept the bike for a week just to check it before purchasing and did nothing! Charged $102 after quoting $50. Tried to keep the bike another week to replace a foot peg and charge $80 for the part. Crooks! Stay away!
Good honest service! This is my new goto for bike repair!
This place rocks! The service is excellent& the prices are fair.
Had bike for 1 week. No communication to keep informed of anything. Its a throttle cable.
Great crew
Good prices
Great service!!!
Good
