We recently purchased a new to us bay boat from Guy, Chad and the team at Consignment Boat Sales. Being from out of state, we had several questions up front. We then made the six hour drive down from Georgia to test out the boat; being a big purchase, we reflected for a week before completing the purchase. We finalized the purchase and have been enjoying our new boat; one of the main reasons we went with Consignment Boat Sales was the strong reviews from prior buyers and sellers and we certainly felt that throughout our process. Well certainly consider Guy and the team if we purchase or sell a boat in the future.UPDATE: About a week after purchasing the boat, Guy contacted us and mentioned the prior owner had found some of the original owners manuals. This was exciting as the boat is approx. 19 years old and many of the online manuals are about 16 years old (i.e. a few years newer than my boat), so it is wonderful to get the original manuals - it also helps take some of the guess work out of our interpretation. They could have easily forgotten to send me the manuals and I would have never know, but Guy went above and beyond to let me know the manuals had been found, then immediately put the manuals in the mail. I will start by telling you a short story about what happened to me and how this gentleman helped me without ever meeting me.I had a boat built by someone in Jacksonville that I met off a fishing/ boating website the skiff was a Conchfish16. After picking up the skiff I was on 1 95 45 minutes later the skiff was rear ended boat, trailer and my truck were totaled boat never touched the water.The guy that built my boat then got on said website and started building me another boat at no cost to me thru donations that came from many different people and out of his pocket plus a few reputable boat companys core from one and hatches from another I can never thank or repay what Travis has done for me and everyone else.As mentioned I have never met Guy he doesnt know me I live in South Florida but he sold a boat for Travis and was told about my story and donated 500.00 dollars to my boat build never ever meeting me that shows his character in my opinion so if he would do that for a person hes never meet think what he would do for you.Thanks again Guy I hope you all the bestJimmy Smith

Used boats are much harder to assess than used cars. My wife and I have been looking for a boat for over a year. We have visited with many boat sale places and have always found our way back here. I have a few reasons why. First reason when two women walk into a boat sales shop no one greeted us or even thought we were there to buy a boat. When they did find out we wanted to buy a boat they looked confused and rather rushed everything. When we walked onto Guys lot he approached us in a fast and in friendly manor. We stated what we were looking for and at that time he didnt have anything on his lot to fit what we needed. Lets just say not one time did anyone have anything negative to say about him or his business which helped us make the decision we would wait for him to have our perfect boat. I would avoid doing business with Guy if youre out of state, or traveling a long distance. I made an offer on a boat on a Friday. He called the owner of the boat, and got back in touch with me to inform me that the owner would accept the offer. I told Guy that I would be down in one week the next Saturday, cash in hand, to inspect and purchase the boat. Throughout the week, we stayed in touch with me asking additional questions about the boat. That next Friday, I emailed Guy to let him know I would be down the next day to inspect the boat and close the deal. He called me later that evening and we chatted on the phone. The next day, I drove 4 hours down to Jacksonville. When I got there, Guy said that someone else had come in that morning and made an offer on the boat. He said he didnt know I was coming, and somehow neglected to remember that we had just spoken on the phone less than 12 hours previously. He said he couldnt go back on his word with this gentleman, but if I was willing to increase my offer, he would see what he could do. For more money, Guy seemed to be willing to break his word again with the other party. Now I understand in the end, a man’s word is worth nothing in the court of law. And I can understand wanting to make more money. But to not even have the decency to call me within that 4 hour drive, thats just unacceptable and rude. So long story short, if you are traveling a long way to make a deal with Guy, make sure you have an irrefutable, signed, and notarized contract with the agreed amount price and contingent on your inspection with a stipulation to recover your deposit if there is anything you do not agree with on the vessel.

Just bought a beautiful boat from Guy last week. Big deal for me from 600 miles away, and I am very pleased thus far (sea hunt is awesome)....Guy (and big thx to “Yamaha Mike” who helps Guy out) made sure to get my truck set up to pull a load as safely as possible a long way, hooked up the trailer adapter, reoriented/changed my hitch as a courtesy, true southern hospitality. Guy worked to get the deal settled even through last minute hiccups, and stayed late for me one evening and got there early the next morning to make sure I was on the road early. The man actually tries to be good to his customers, not all that common these days. And to boot, I’m convinced she’s a lucky boat ...first trip out, a full box of redfish!!
