I have purchased a lower receiver, my carry pistol, and my home defense shotgun from here all on separate occasions and every time has been a great visit. If you cant find it or he doesnt have it in house he will find it and order it for you. Normally has a great selection of ammo. McGowan has found a customer for life because of their fair prices and what he will do for his customers.

Buyer Be Ware…! I purchased a 9mm Suppressor from them on April 27, 2012 over the phone. The transaction cleared my bank on April 30, 2012. This company will not Answer the Phone, Return my Calls, or Return any Emails. Legal action is the last resort to ensure I get my money back or the items I have paid for.

Jon, the owner, provides outstanding advice and customer service. There is no high pressure sales and no artificial jacking up prices. If he can order it, he will.he willingly processes purchases from internet dealers.

Purchased a 7.62 suppressor from Mr. McGowan on March 17, 2012 which I never received. Mr McGowan was rude and insulting on the occasion I called him to inquire on the status of my purchase in June (which was supposed to be delivered in mid April). In September, I went directly to the suppressor manufacturer who indicated Mr McGowan never purchased a suppressor on my behalf. Mr McGowan now refuses to return my funds for the suppressor purchase. By the way, Mr McGowan represented the sale as he owned the merchandise. It was only after he had my money that I learned he really just wanted to broker a deal. Not surprising this guy aspires to be a politician (Jacksonville Beach City Council).BEWARE OF MCGOWAN FIREARMS AND OF JON MCGOWAN

Ive used McGowan Firearms as my FFL for over 8 firearms, everyone of them went smoothly and the service is the best I have dealt with here in Jacksonville. You also cant beat the $25.00 transfer and background check price! I will continue to use them for all my transfers.

McGowan Firearms is a great store. If you follow him via Facebook you will know when he gets his stock in and when to be there to buy it. It allows everyone to have a fair chance to get to the store to pick up some ammo. Despite this people will still find room to complain. If they really wanted ammo that bad, they would learn to be punctual. I will continue to follow him on Facebook and give him my business.

Well I have purchased 2 NFA items from Jon and not have any issues at all, just a very long wait tines with the ATF but Jon has no control over the federal government to the best of my knowledge, I could be wrong. one item was a Yankee Hill Cobra Suppressor the other item was a SBR both took over 6 months to get my Tax stamp returned from the ATF, if you expect an NFA item to be shipped directly to you from a Class 3 Dealer, you have no idea of what the process is to get a NFA Tax Stamp entails. a long drawn out process thanks to the 1934 National Firearms Act (NFA) I am in the process of getting another NFA item I expect it to take 6 to 8 months, with the form 3 & 4 transfers that have to be done. ill report back when i get my From 4 returned from the ATF in September or October I hope.

Worse then POOR!!! Yup this A$$hole got me too!!! Do not buy from Jon Mcgowan or Mcgowan Firearms, worst experience I have ever had with a person or business. Ordered a .30 cal Yankee Hill Titanium Suppressor from gun broker (mcgowanfirearms) owner Jon Mcgowan at Mcgowan Firearms in early April 2012 and never was able to contact him ever again after I paid! Only after 7 months to find out from the company itself (Yankee Hill Machine) they couldnt contact him either and never got a return call from leaving numerous messages. Yankee Hill informed me their were many more like myself who had orders and they could not contact Mcgowan and his credit card was declined so eventually had to cancel all orders from him. I finally received an email from Jon Mcgowan stating I was the one who terminated payment months ago and dont call again. Well I have news for him directly, I bank in my city and contacted my bank personally and no such action was ever made on my behalf or my banks, nor did I receive my $859.99 back in any such way from this man! I have documentation from my Bank and Yankee Hill Machine that this man will never do business with them again and they consider him to be out of business! I can only hope this man does not win the city council position (Jacksonville Beach City Council, Seat 1) he is campaigning for as he is nothing more then a slippery, fast talking con man! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH JON MCGOWAN OR MCGOWAN FIREARMS UNLESS YOU HAVE MONEY YOU WANT TO LOSE AND NEVER GET THE PRODUCT YOU INTENDED ON HAVING!!!!!!!!!
