I ordered on November 24th with a ship date of 12/8/20. Never received order in time for Christmas. Finally received it on 12/30/20 after family already left. Spent a lot of time trying to contact company by email and phone, customer service was horrible to say it nicely.Quality of product - Fair - the taffy was very hard (Im sure it was old), the fudge was not the best either, definitely not quality fudge. The molasses paddles were the best out of the three items I ordered. Very expensive for not a very good quality, would not order from them again. Also, was a bit confused as to why I received Fralingers rather than James Salt Water Taffy. I would not recommend. Perhaps the items are better to be purchased in person rather than ordered on website. Customer beware!

James Candy has poor Candy quality. The building where the Candy was made had a RAT INFESTATION. Customers complaining of the hard taffy were likely consuming rat droppings.Does not recommend.

Ordered and paid for items. One shipped/delivered. Second...nothing.$32 each. Phone 4 times and ONLY option is to leave a voicemail.Im calling VISA and reversing the charges.

Very disappointing! We received a Valentines Day heart and the candy was destroyed in the box - all of the pieces were out of the little paper cups and so many were literally squashed. In addition, we did not know who sent the candy so we could thank them. I called two times, left messages, and never received a return call. I personally would never order from this company.

Great taffy

Great salt water taffy. There are a few locations on the boardwalk and all are terrific spots to pick up taffy of all flavors, macaroons, and candies.You can choose from all kinds of flavors here by the pound and also in gift boxes. Their flavors are terrific - from fruits to classics like peppermint creams. Sugar free flavors too. Every time I am down here I buy a few boxes as gifts, to bring to my office, or for personal consumption. Different size gift boxes and baskets are also available.

This is a yummy yummy place to shop when you have a sweet tooth. Lots of flavors. Prices were a little more than I usually pay so I was a little disappointed but I guess they know people will pay it

The almond macaroons are heavenly! They are so good! I heard about this place on the food network, so the next time I was in AC, I went searching for it. The almond ones come frozen, individually wrapped in a box. I believe they come a dozen in a box. They take a few minutes to thaw out. Theyre nice and crunchy on the outside and perfectly chewy on the inside. Definitely try this place if youre in AC!

I highly recommend NOT using a credit or debit card on their website to order anyting.In early November of 2019, I in a very unusual move used my checking account debit card to order fudge from them. As a rule, I do not use my debit card, but I did in this case.On December 23rd, a fraudulent charge was made to my debit card attached to my checking account in the amount of $99 and change. It was an order placed with QVC of West Chester, Pennsylvania. As I check my account very regularly, I was able to call QVC within hours of the fraudulent charge and have that order cancelled. Its turns out it was a recurring charge, meaning that QVC was instructed to charge my account regularly for something.I have since gotten my funds replaced by my bank, but I will never order online from Jamess candy again. When in Atlantic City, I may not even by anything in there store anymore.Thank goodness at the time the fraudulent charge for $99 was made, I only had $113 in my account.

Placed order on December 7, 2018. It was supposed to be a Christmas gift for my 95 year old mother in law. As of today, 12/28/18, the order has not even shipped! We tried to call and email numerous times and get no response, or a call back from a supevisor, which they promise every time you call. I have not yet gotten a call back or a reply. When you call the number for James Candy Company, you are directed to some call service in somewhere like India. The people do not have any idea what is going on, and they cannot help you in anyway. Worst service ever.Worst online buying experience everI have been scammed by a fake candy company!!Wendy1/23/19 Update: the company refunded our money and then sent a free box of candy to my mother in law. It took months and hours on the phone to get this issue fixed, but I upped my review to 2 stars since they tried to make it right.

We were given this taffy as a gift and it is NASTY!!!! Almost every flavor tastes artificial. I can get a 3 pounds of a MUCH better taffy at Fresh Thyme for 1 pound of James Candy Company taffy.

Since when you click on one star google thinks you hated the location you are reviewing and since I really cant say this was a place I hated I decided instead to go with two stars. As for the reason for the dislike of the store I will tell you the story as to why I came in here and why I was so disappointed. For years I have been going to Ocean City a time or two during the year and with those trips I usually get on the boardwalk that includes a stop at Shrivers salt water taffy where I would usually grab a couple pounds of assorted flavors of the taffy to last through the next few months. Since I hadnt had a chance to get there since March of last year but thought that with the annual trip to Steel Pier that maybe Atlantic City might have a store that would sell the taffy where I could get some. When I searched Google for a store I found this store to be only a few blocks from where I would be and then to put the icing on the cake it had the same name as my 5 month old grandson. Upon entering the store I found the taffy and began making my selection but then after choosing three or four flavors I found some of the taffy sticking to my hand. When I looked at the taffy I noticed it was oozing out of the wrapper and not just on a piece or two but many of that flavor as well as several of the others I thought about getting. I thought about putting the ones back I had already grabbed but didnt feel like separating them so I went ahead and bought them. When I got them home that night and ate a couple over the next couple days I noticed that several of the pieces were stale. Next time I will hold out for Shrivers.

Awful service. Stood in the store for over 10 mins and was never acknowledged by the clerk because she was in the middle of a verbal disagreement with a girl in the store. When she finally decided to help us, it was interrupted by, her giving the other girl the finger and yelling F*** you!! We left without purchasing anything. Will never return!
