This place is pretty cheap and the food is filling and great for the price. They close at 2pm despite what the website says. The staff are very nice and helpful. They can also make you food to order. The prices for what you get, you cant beat that at all. I would definitely recommend cafe 500 to anyone that visits here. Theyre worth every penny.

Had brunch here on a Sunday afternoon. It was awesome! Food was delicious, hot and made as ordered. The short rib breakfast bowl is insane and the pancakes are incredible. Coffee was really good too. Michelle was our server and she was very nice and helpful. Definitely will return

My son got fish and chips. Fish was still frozen. So nothing was fresh. Clam chowder was good. Over priced. I had butterfly shrimp. I could tell they were frozen. Dinner was 46.00. We didnt have any drinks. We did go back for breakfast the next day. Very disappointed. Breakfast for 2 was 43.00. We didnt get anything special. Cup of coffee is 3 dollars. Rip off. Staff was friendly.

Wait time was longer than it needed to be. Though I did understand they had a full house (: Servers were extremely busy so they were just trying to get us in and out. Food was good although nothing out of this world. Our server Scarlet was a sweetheart though!

Delicious fresh foods, the crab bennie was so delicious. The crab cake is big & fresh.. The pancakes are tasty & fluffy. The fresh orange juice is always needed for the mornings. The potatoes are crispy & flavorful. Staff is very busy but good. Need to have some patience at this time since its very busy at times.

The food was great at Cafe 500. Fast and friendly service. We did not have to wait to be seated. Our waiter served us our drinks and in a matter if 15 minutes we were being served our food. I ordered the Pub hamburger medium rare and the burger was cooked perfect. The honey chicken, cod fish and chicken strips were are good. A great place to eat dinner while staying at Ocean Hotel.

Lobster Mac and cheese is a must have only if it’s cooked by one and only Mr Demetrius! If Mr. Demetrius is not in, don’t get it- you’ll be disappointed. The salmon is amazing, make sure you ask them the make it saucy and make the sauce buttery not too lemony. The green flatbread is yummy. Bottom line, if you have a bad experience, give it one more chance, that’s what I did and it was worth it. Denise served our table today and she was super sweet and accommodating. Their breakfast omelettes are worth your time. We’ve had good and bad experience at cafe 500, a 80/20 ratio in favor of good experience. We’ll be back. Thank you to Denise and Mr Demetrius for making us feel welcomed today and showing us that you care. We really enjoyed and appreciated everything.

Awesomely good food at a great price!! This is a place you will want to eat at for breakfast, lunch and dinner!! Friendly staff too! I had the prime rib weekend special (prime rib, baked potato and salad). Delicious!Update: Had the Reuben Sandwich for takeout before claoing and it is the 💣!!!! Unbelievable!

After our morning jogging (10 km) we finally landed at this place to have a breakfast. It is perfect here- good service nice food, not expensive, amazing vibe....And guess what? In front you have the Casino machines:)

Good breakfast, though service could be better. They have the bartenders handling both the tables and the large bar. We were seated at the bar for ten minutes before we were served, though another group was also served before us, and arrived after us.The front manager did not take upon himself to take orders from customers who were waiting at the bar.Cafe 500 does not align with the high end atmosphere of the Ocean Resort.You can have a better breakfast somewhere else on the strip, certainly not worth the wait.

So far not good, a long wait to even get a server. Other people were seated and served food before we even got our water. We had to ask a different server who seated us if we could get water. Finally after about ten minutes and people getting him three times he finally arrived. The summon oldest server ever I thought it was a bad SNL skit. We order, doesnt hear the whole thing. Not surprised. Food was delicious but it doesnt make up for the terrible services. Now getting the check we had to ask the hostess if we could get the check. The hostess brought the check we paid immediately, then the waiter came out of nowhere with the finally copy. Signed it and we fled hoping to never return. The worst part was everyone around us was receiving excellent service.

Cafe 500 located inside Ocean resort casino. They serve alcohol and easy food such as burger and chicken wings. As part of ocean you are able to use ocean casino comp. They open late till 2 am as long as you sit in the bar. The price is reasonable and they give military discounts. The food taste not bad. It can be very noisy since its next to villain and saint which play live music .

I absolutely love Cafe 500. Only been there for breakfast. They make the best blueberry pancakes, the edges are crispy (just the way I like it😛) the whole meal was great. I highly recommend!!!

Our server was amazing on our visit to cafe 500. He was very high energy and polite. The food was great and reasonable. The host definitely needs additional training as she was rude. I had a handicap guest and the host was going to seat the table behind me because she did not want to wait until the handicap person arrived. The reason for me arriving before her was so the table was settled and she could just sit down because of her handicap. She then clled the manager over after telling me she no longer wanted to speak to me when i was explaining the reason for me arriving prior to the other guests.

Not a good place to eat in the casino. They burnt my wifes flatbread and then left it sit to cut it so long it was cold. The waitress seemed mortified that the chef was so incompetent.

The service was pretty spotty and the food runner was one of the most rude people Ive ever come in contact with. The food was mediocre at best and the prices did not reflect that.

Despite being located inside of Ocean casino, Cafe 500 feels like a local hometown diner. They are clean, which is a great feeling since the casino it self feels grimmy. I ordered the eggs Benedict that came with a side of home fries. The only thing that seemed to be missing was there was barely any Hollandaise sauce and if youre a lover of hollandaise sauce youll definitely be missing it. My boyfriend order the everything bowl, which came with bacon, sausage,eggs, tattertots and mushrooms. He enjoyed his meal as well. Definitely a spot we would stop in for breakfast next time in the area.

Ive stayed at Ocean Casino Resort twice now, it is truly magnificent and my wife and I have eaten several meals at Cafe 500. Reasonably priced and excellent food, great service, the Italian Breakfast Bowl is fabulous! Just plain GREAT! Cant wait to go back in September!!

We were at Ocean Casino Resort for a mini-vacation and decided to dine in at Cafe 500 one of the nights during our stay since we had a pleasant experience on a previous visit when we went here for breakfast. On this trip, we had the open face turkey dinner and the meatloaf dinner. Both were absolutely terrible. The bread under the turkey was stale, the ends were as hard as a rock and the middle was semi-hard. The turkey was like rubber. The meatloaf was hard all around the edges. The potatoes were clearly instant. Both gravies (turkey and beef) were coagulated. Both meals were barely warm and had some ice cold spots. Overall, neither meal had any flavor at all. We both only took a few bites and were done. I wasted food comps on the meal and had I not had comps and was paying out of pocket, I would not have paid for these disgusting plates of stuff that they called dinners. I will never go back to this place to eat and would not recommend this place at all. to anyone who isnt looking for possible tummy troubles.

The restaurant is beautiful and service is top notch! The place is very popular so good for them! My reasons for 3 stars instead of 5 was because although my bestie loved her Bloody Mary and her food, I sadly didn’t have nearly the level of praise for the drinks or food. The first drink was in a martini glass and tasted almost like it was pure vodka with a little cranberry juice, way too strong, especially for a breakfast meal!! I asked them to switch it for their Margarita, it also tasted mostly like alcohol! Usually a tourist wouldn’t likely complain about drinks being too strong, but this was around 11:30am and I was not trying to get buzzed or drunk!! I tried her bloody and was impressed, but I wasn’t in the mood for that kind of morning drink. Then the crab Benedict came, I was so excited as we both love bennie’s, she enjoyed hers, but mine was just ok. I’m saying 3 stars because the food was only ok, and when you hit an ocean front restaurant, you expect the best seafood possible, and drinks that are refreshing and tropical! Sadly both were nothing I’d return for, I’d only return for the outstanding overall service and to try a different set of drink and food. Disappointing for being that it was my final breakfast of my 40th bday wknd.

Let me start by saying Arthur Gaskins was a Fantastic Manager. His example should be followed by many Corporations. I watched from afar him helping his staff when needed, collecting plates and anything else that was required. Stopping at tables to see if CUSTOMERS were okay. Also, taught his staff, if one waitress is tied up, go and assist. Let the customers know they are appreciated. Great prices as well. The steak is best ordered Medium not Medium well.

We wanted some breakfast before we head back home street our long week trip and lucky we find this spot which I never knew where it was but glad we found it for next time I come prices are reasonable and food was good big enough space for everyone and customer service was super nice

We had breakfast and lunch at Cafe 500 today. Both times we were seated quickly. Very pleasant wait staff. Drink and food order was prompt, accurate, hot and delicious. Did not have to ask them for refills on drinks - they approached us before the glasses were empty. Prices were very reasonable plus you get a discount just for having a players card. We will definitely return to this restaurant on our next visit to Ocean Resort.

We visited this restaurant 1 year ago and it was very good. We visited today and 45 mins waiting in line to have a table. The very slow hostess does not give agility to assign tables. After we complained, the mananger told us he gave us a complementary breakfast and it was not like that because they charged us. The most common breakfast is eggs over easy and accompanied by french fries, not home fries like last times? I dont highly recommend the quality of the food.

My husband and I were here for dinner on September 14, 2019. After being seated at a table, 20 minutes later, no one had approached us. On multiple occasions, we had tried to get the hostesses attention to no avail. I went to her and told her that a server had not been to our table. We noticed that we were not the only ones in our area receiving poor or no service at all. At this point, 30 minutes had elapsed and other diners were obviously as frustrated as we were. Finally, a manager came to our table and I asked where our server was and she pointed out someone who we were seeing for the first time. I told her that we had been sitting for 30 minutes without acknowledgement by anyone. She was very rude and unapologetic, acting as if we were being a bother to her. We got up and left, which we should have done much sooner. We have never experienced service like this before. I question your management training. I also believe that they need to be taught service recovery.

My family and I dined at the restaurant this evening. Aside from the delicious burgers we enjoyed, I wanted to highlight our amazing waiter, Fai. He was kind and extremely attentive to our requests and needs. From the moment we were seated, he approached us with a warm smile and throughout our dining experience, he went above and beyond to ensure that we were satisfied. Fai’s customer service was exceptional and Cafe500 will be our go to restaurant while visiting the area! We’re here yesterday and today for breakfast. The hostess doesn’t seem to be pleasant with us. No smile, no good morning. Even though we’re the first one there waiting for the table with a black card, how could the other two parties came after us be seated first... it could be the color of our skin, cause she was so nice to the others..

This is one of the few places to go get breakfast in Ocean Casino Resort. I ordered the Texas breakfast bowl in the morning. It wasn’t impressive. The menu didn’t have many options. The prices are cheap for a dine-in restaurant in Atlantic City. The customer service was pleasant but the food could be improved.

Coffee was cold when we asked for hot and the waitress said okay okay and rolled her eyes

This cafe is all about excellence! The service is immediate. We visited three times on our trip and not once did we wait more than five minutes for our beverages and order to be taken. The cafe is the cleanest I have ever seen. There was a staff of about 20 people, even when it wasnt peak hours. This cafe is standard setting for the rest of the industry.

Just a terrible experience took a while to get a table and plenty of them were open and clean. We did not have a server a hostess took our drink order about 15 minutes after sitting a server took our order and left someone else brought our food out we asked a manager for refills just no one was friendly the only good thing about this place was the food was good the service sucked and when we were leaving not one person said thank you have a great day nothing at all I will never go back

This is usually our go to place for least expensive, decent food. Always get the burgers. Service can be a slow but food is good. Tonight we were placed in an area with no server, so everyone around us was served (who came after us) while we waited 30 minutes for someone to take our order. Not very organized when it gets busy.

The food is pretty good. The service is extremely slow. No improvement since it was the Revel which is somewhat disappointing. If you can stand the wait for your food to be served it is 3 stars

We came for breakfast, seated promptly. Coffee was horrible, tasted like it was burnt and they tried adding more water to blend out burnt taste. French toast was great even though it was missing its berry topping. My wife ordered eggs over medium that came out beyond over easy, white and slimy. Server never came out to check on us through meal until we were finished. Overall very unprofessional staff. Servers yelling across the dining room to other servers and a gentleman i assumed to be a manager about orders. We got too experience two servers getting into a verbal argument over whose table was whose. This all happened tableside. In working 8+ years in fine dining, bars, and restaurants I have never experienced such unprofessionalism out of a casino eatery.

Service is the problem here and management needs to step up. I’ve found the food to be decent, when it finally arrives. I gave 3 stars rather than two as it seems to be getting a bit better on our last visit.

Ate here for breakfast, the host manager had a very bad attitude while dealing with customers and his own waiters. The food came out VERY cold. After asking to get fresh hot food brought out it took forever, and the waitress totally forgot my wifes pancakes. Overall, horrible experience with customer service and the food was not good at all. Once we finally received our food, the steak was over cooked, the crab benedict was incredibly bland. All of the food was cold. When the waitresses saw that I wasn’t eating, she asked “you didn’t like it?” I said the food was bland and she responded “yeah, that’s not my favorite.” Save your money. Go somewhere else.

The waitress was clueless and had no idea how to wait tables and present food. She brought out cold toast, followed 5 minutes later by cold grits that were prepared wrong followed 10 minutes later by the wrong sausage. I ordered chicken sausage, my husband ordered pork sausage, she gave me the pork sausage which I immediately realized after taking a healthy bite. An attentive wait staff knows who ordered what especially when there are clear dietary differences. I was physically ill for the rest of the day. $41 for a terrible breakfast experience.
