The best Indian Grocery store in Auburn Hills and nearby areas. The store is clean and well organized and unlike others they do not stock expired items. They also have carry out which is top notch- freshly made with right amount of spices and reasonably priced. Not to mention the lunch box is worth every cent.

Very good lunch box! My first time coming here, and I will definitely be back. I could be wrong but I dont believe that there is a choice as to what you can choose to go in your lunch box. Not to worry, it was all delicious. The only thing I really didnt care for was the chickpea dish on the top left. The chickpeas were undercooked and grainy in texture. The naan was full size and very excellent quality. Ive recommended to friends and family already. $6.49 out the door. Cash is welcome, if you use your card there is a $10 minimum posted so please be aware of that.

The food that they serve is very good. Lot better than many fabricated Indian restaurants in and around this place. If you really want to give it a try for some authentic Indian food this place will not disappoint you. You can also buy some groceries while you wait for your food to be picked up. Definitely worth giving it a try.

The Ajanta Grocers owner & support staff are very friendly and will do their best to satisfy the customers needs. Heres an instance - I ordered Samosa chaat a few weeks ago and it had Pomegranate dressing which added more flavor to the food. I called them again last week, ordered Samosa chaat and asked the representative to add Pomegranate dressing if possible. She politely said she will try her best because Pomegranate dressing for Samosa chaat is not something that they do more often. When I went to pick up the order, it had Pomegranate dressing, the owner mentioned that she had to go to a couple stores to buy Pomegranate and add it to the Samosa chaat. This shows their willingness to serve what the Customer wants. I really appreciate the owner in taking that extra step to satisfy my need. Their Tandoori naans are fresh (not frozen) and great as well, easily one of the best food Ive had in Auburn Hills. Keep up the good work!!

I got to know Ajanta grocers through one of our friends and since then we never stopped doing grocery and lunch /dinner pickup. They have a good menu of Indian dishes with a variety of breads ( naan, garlic naan ) etc. I usually come here to pick up my dinner, but also do groceries to save my time thereby saving my time for a trip to other grocery store.

Lovely place not the most accommodating of all the big brand stores. Not too much to not always be worth the price or wait though. Clean and usually dead as a door nail around an hour before closing..

Vegetables and fruits are always fresh and shelves are always stocked and kept neat and clean. I was able to find items here that Ive never been able to find at any other store! I am one of the first customers of Ajanta Grocers. They are very friendly and very helpful. I am buying most of my groceries from them only. We can get almost all the groceries and they have multiple brands also to choose from. It would be unfair if I don’t mention about their food. The food here is authentic, hygienic, mouth watering, delicious and reasonably priced. It’s a total value for money.Paneer Makhani, Mixed Veg Rogan Josh and Garlic Naan are must try and my family especially my six year old kids love it. The lunch box available with them is also exceptionally good and complete value for money.The Gaajar (Carrot) ka Halva is a must must must must try.

I had ordered food from Ajantha to cater to a party of around 50 people. The food was really good and they called me next day to check how was the food quality. This shows their dedication towards food quality and customer loyalty. They were considerate about the prices as well. I would really come back next time.

Great lunch fresh vegetables and they also make homemade sweets that are delish having lived in northern India for 4 years I never thought I would find authentic Punjabi food such as this place, having tried numerous other Indian restaurants all across Michigan and Illinois. This is a great Indian food Carry out. The Carry out lunch box is always delicious and filling for a good price (7$)Order ahead and you will never be dissatisfied with the quality and great service. The Saag Paneer is best I have ever had. Samosa and fried vegetables are also great!

Ajanta is wonderful. I have always been skeptical to try this type of food, but I promise you if you order a dish you will be hooked. The samosa’s are extremely fresh with a sauce unlike anything I have had. It is hard for me to go a full week without an order. The korma sauce is made to perfection, and all vegetables are prepared great.I have since tried other similar restaurants, and I will refuse to eat anywhere other than Ajanta!! Amazing food and great hospitality. Employees are always guiding me in the right direction as I love trying new things. I highly recommend!!!

Normally I dont review places.I didnt know the food was vegetarian in the lunch buffet the first time I came here. The lady at the check out counter was very nice and explained what each dish was. I ordered an appetizer and she gave me samples of everything. I came back today for my first full meal for a few dollars I got a ton of food and it was really awesome even without meat!I will go back, and I will tell everyone about this place. Thank you again

The place has a great variety in the lunch buffet. The problem is that they just mix all of it in 1 box. It gets mixed up by the time you reach home. 3 subzi, all mixed together. I requested the lady to pack them seprately (willing to pay extra, though it never came to the money discussion). The lady at the store replied Cant do it. this is how we do it. I had to walk out of the stores without buying anything. And this is after the fact that I have been a regular customer of the place. Not happy!!!

The WORST carry out place. They served me leftovers this wasnt the first time they served leftovers. I have recently ordered garlic naan and a mixed veg entree the food was cold and naans were not in a chewable condition. the quantity is so cheap, some times I find one paneer cube and sometimes half empty entree bowls. I find NEEHEES is the best there quality and quantity of food is first class.Updated: I have ordered food on Wednesday around 8:30PM and the food was cold so I called back to inform. The person who took the order answered the call and told me that you gave me the naans that someone ordered and never picked. I didnt put this info in my previous comment because I didnt want that man to get in trouble for being honest with me. Before you call out someone a liar you should give fresh food to the customers.

Had the Aloo Matar. Came with Rice and Naan for $8. Enough for two people. Naan was great, not dry like some other places. Ordered mild, but still had plenty of heat. Great place to get hard to find items if you make curries at home.
