Came to this store after attempting to add a pre-paid phone onto a pre-existing account and encountering numerous issues that werent able to be resolved via phone by customer service nor their manager. Michael, Solutions Specialist, was able to resolve our issues with the prepaid phones, including making things easier by adjusting our billing, plan, and even applied the screen protector and case onto the device for us. He was friendly, courteous, and promptly handled our concerns and issues. Thank you, Michael!
Ive been with Verizon for twenty-seven years because of system reliability, product choice, competitive pricing, and outstanding customer service. If you dont have a similar experience, speak to the store manager and resolve the problem immediately. Smart managers listen and act decisively. Those who dont generate a pattern of bad reviews and need to be replaced.
Make the drive to Brunswick Verizon instead. I went into this location and wanted to upgrade my phone to the new iPhone 13. The guy that helped me tried to upsell anything he could to me and acted as if he was in a hurry to help someone else. The process took probably 20 minutes and he sent me out the door with an iPhone still in the box and not any instructions on how to set it up. All he did was throw on my screen protector that I didn’t even have the option to pick out and gave me a huge box that wasn’t even put together to send in my old phone with. He then sold me a case that didn’t even fit my phone and when I went back in to tell him it didn’t fit, he proceeded to cram my phone in it and say “looks like it fits to me.” Not one to really complain but this guy is definitely just there to make money off of you rather than treat you like a customer. When I went to the Brunswick location they treated me so much better and were so much more helpful.
My wife and I went into this store to purchase 2 new phones and some accessories. We have been with Verizon for almost 15 years. When we walked in we were asked if we could be signed in then the guy waiting on us started off telling us how they did not have certain apple devices. I told him we were not interested in Apple products and that we wanted to see new Samsung flips. He pointed in there direction and told us that they cannot be flipped open or closed because of security devices. I told him we wanted to purchase 2 of these so asked if he could open one for us to see. He instantly stated no and that we should purchase somewhere somewhere else if we needed to see them first so we left. I immediately called the store to speak to a manager but was on hold for over 30 minutes with no luck. The store was empty when we were there so not sure why nobody will answer the phone. We will never go to this store again and we are considering going to another carrier. Dont go to this store if you want to be treated with any respect whatsoever.
My Bf got a new phone and he tried to get it activated, but they where having trouble to get it activated. He have to wait for 24hrs to get activated. Not very helpful.
Knowledgeable phone techs can work though problems with your phone. Fair choice of phones, but if you want something else, Im sure you can get it.

My latest dealing was less than satisfactory. Little to no inventory. Staff wouldnt check other locations for product. The salesman I dealt came off as aloof and un-caring. LESS THAN HELPFUL!!
Was there 2 hours for them to tell me i cant get a mifi. Timewasters and ineffecient. Then they rudely said there is the door when i expressed my frustration with poor service. Go to us cellular instead.
When you cant get through to the store level because it directs you right to corporate customer service & you tell them you want to talk to local store person youve always dealt with & he cant get through either because they dont answer the phones. Guess Ill be taking my business elsewhere 😢 been a long time customer but since covid hit customer service has been horrible.
Ready to buy a phone and left instead. I witnessed the unhinged manager, Johnny, make an elderly woman stand in a corner and chastise her (she was like 90!) for not making an appt online. Then, he screamed at a customer, when she asked about her bill. I have been that customer in the past who didnt realize that the stores dont really help with bills and it was so upsetting to see him yell at someone for that. He didnt offer to help nor empathize or offer alternatives. He also yelled at another woman who came in because she didnt have a mask- she was also very old and seemed confused. I have witnessed a lot of bad service in my life, but this is the worst. I cant believe Verizon allows this behavior. Went right down the road to AT&T.

Horrible customer service. The manager wouldn’t even listen to my issue, every time I tried to speak he’d cut me off and tell me they couldn’t do anything in the store and I had to call customer service. What good is a cell phone store if they can’t access your account? Especially when the issue is that my elderly mother can’t access her account over the phone!!! I swore at them and walked out, it was that bad.To top it off, the manager was not wearing a mask.Edit: I finally was able to get someone from Verizon on the phone to help with my mother’s account. They said the store was able to reset my mother’s pin as long as she had photo ID. It would have been really nice if the store would have willing and knowledgeable enough to do that on one of the numerous times my mother went to the store over her account issues.There is no excuse for the way Verizon treated my mother. Take your business elsewhere.Another edit: your response is way too little, way too late. I will never do business with Verizon again. The ridiculousness over the phone that lead up to this horrible situation at the store was absolutely absurd.

Went in to buy a phone for an inactive line I had been paying on for over a year. Was told because the line was inactive even though I had been paying it flagged the account. Was then told I had to call some number and clear it up. After sitting on hold for a while, mind you 3 employees sitting around doing nothing, was told even if I clear it, it would take at least 24 hours to clear the account. At this point I asked to speak to a Manger and hung the phone up. I was then attacked by all 4 employees in the store including one speaking to a customer whoI beleive was the actual Manger. I was then asked to leave, I will be swapping my business account elsewhere. I am disappointed, to think I was trying to spend money there.

I dont know if its Verizon in general or just this store, but I have never had a good experience here. Just yesterday I was told by a sales rep. that it would take 7 hours to download my old phone to my newly purchased phone (so I would take it home and do it). I knew it didnt sound right as I seldom download anything on that phone. My step daughter helped me and it literally took ten minutes. Pretty sure he didnt want to take the time, and they werent busy as there were several sales reps standing around.

I was welcomed at the door and one person took care of all my needs. Had to get a new phone and also a new case and screen protector for another. She knew exactly what I needed. I highly recommend this store for all of your Verizon needs, especially if it is Lyndsey that takes care of you!

I came in today to pay off my Apple Watch I just bought 2 months ago and ran into a big issue. First, it was apparently paid off (which is nice), but I put down part of the cost and was never told I receive additional $100 credit when I received it. Then while looking into the bill it was found I never received the device insurance WHICH I ASKED FOR TWICE when I bought the watch. Who doesn’t cover their product?! So all I was told is I could talk to the sales associate who sold it to me. But what good would that do if you can only add it at the time of sale? Worst customer service ever and all that was told to me is Verizon has an annual enrollment day for any device and I can add it then (which she didn’t know when). Y’all should train employees to make full sales not just quick ones. Additionally maybe this could’ve been avoided if the tablet she was using wasn’t messing up and throwing error messages on my profile while building my total package up.

My husband and I were in to change providers and get new phones. We talked about the plan we wanted (2GB) and they checked the usage on our phones and assured us it would be sufficient. A day after we got our phones up and running, I was exploring the MyVerizon website and found that our bill would be almost triple what we expected - they had signed us up for an unlimited 22 GB plan. Luckily, nationwide customer support was able to change the plan for us effective immediately. Not sure what happened ...
Wal-Mart set us up an account. Said we had to go to a Verizon to get everything. Well we got to Verizon and they said that we had an account with the phone we had wanted at Wal-Mart. They helped us figure everything out and then had that account closed left today with all we needed. Thank you Verizon crew in Augusta Maine. Tip top customer satisfaction.

The store was mostly empty - a lot of wasted real estate. Their system wasnt working well and we were there for a couple hours when trying to start a new phone plan. Had to call Verizon from inside a Verizon store and sit on the phone for an hour to try to get a new line set up. Very frustrating. While there a number of people left the building because they got tired of waiting for service. After setting up a new plan, employees were not able to tell us what our monthly costa would be - just that it should be around the quotes price we had received earlier, but they couldnt say for sure. Switched providers for better tower coverage but this initial experience was pretty awfulEdit: Dropped from 2 to 1 star. Walked in today ( a few years after initial review) and the store was busy enough that none of the 2-3 employees could acknowledge us. I visited in hopes of seeing some pricing for a new phone, but the store is awful. No signage so I had no idea what phones I was looking at in general. Additionally, no pricing for phones was on display - there were prices out for some products, like a laptop and some tablets. I walked in, did a sweep in about 60 seconds trying to find ANY pricing on a phone, none was visible, so walked out. Extremely disappointed with Verizon

To anyone who has been subjected to this stores restocking fee, if you returned a device that was still new in the box. The fee is a scam, and the Attorney Generals office helped get it refunded for me. Check the math on the your return receipt, because the manager here will try to tell you something that is both not clear upon purchase (until you already made the purchase), and it does not add up in the end. The manager may try to say that the fee is charged by the manufacturer, and that was clearly a lie. The manufacturer (in this case, Samsung), pointed the finger right back at Verizon. I wonder how much money this store has made on this already, but now you all know how to handle it. Good luck.
While it took forever to figure out because it turned out to be an issue with Google, both Meredith (in store) and Verizon support tech person Cecil (on the phone) worked hard to get my calendar synced. I thought it might take up to 3 days but I was relieved the issue was resolved overnight. I tried to call the store to actually leave this message, but of course, that, ironically, isnt possible. In any case, thanks to both staffers.

This review is seriously long overdue! My visit to this store was back on August 28th, 2018. My apologies to Nikki & Matt for taking so long to do this. I live in Colorado. I was in Maine visiting my Mom. I had just received my 4th replacement device in as many weeks... I was BEYOND frustrated! My LG G3 just didnt want to work anymore and none of the replacements sent to me would work either. For 4 weeks, at different times, I had spent so much time on the phone with Verizon trying to get my situation sorted out. However, every replacement device they sent to me (I pay the monthly insurance for this service) wasnt any better. Finally, in desperation and utter frustration, I walked in to this Verizon store to see if they could help me. THEY DID! The resolution was far beyond my expectation...as I had none and was only hoping theyd be able to help. I had been a loyal Verizon customer for 18+ years and I was about to move on if I couldnt get a phone that worked without having to pay hundreds of dollars for a new device. I had been out of a job for about 3 months and couldnt afford to buy a new phone. Nikki worked with her manager Matt and they were able to get me an upgraded replacement device that works wonderfully! They had the phone sent to my Moms and had me come back in a few days later so that Nikki could help me set it up and get the accessories needed for it. She, Nikki, was also able to change my plan so that I get more (data) and actually pay just a little less than before. Thank you Nikki and Matt... I am so grateful I came into your store that day!
Horrible Customer service !!! Traded in 3 phones that were “lost” never received credit, they only answer phone calls for new service. Worst experience ever, waste of time and money !!!
I feel lost not getting my E-mail app to delivery of my mail and not be about to check settings or account manage or have my Verizon app to troubleshooter.

I upgraded to my iPhone the clerk neglected to give me my micro ST card with at least five years of pictures on it. When I called to get it back they said they didnt take it out of the phone. Then they change the story that they did take it out of the phone and set aside for me. When I went into get it it was nowhere to be found. Not very happy with Verizon

Appalling . I called at their premises in Augusta Maine to buy two phones . One for my wife and myself . We had already contacted their head office for confirmation of a process that two days before in a franchise store of theirs in Portland we found quite disturbing and illegal I might add. Namely, the Portland store after calling their head office maintained that they wanted me to send or fax a copy of my social security card to them. They had my driving license and my number and various other things, Bank Cards, ( including a press pass ! ) to prove my identity but insisted that they had to have the actual card sent .We called head office the day after and informed them that in the state of Maine it was illegal to do so. States that either restrict the solicitation of SSNs or prohibit denying goods and services to an individual who declines to give an SSN:AlaskaKansasMaineNew MexicoRhode IslandThey agreed, so we decided to visit the Augusta store . We chose phones and before we could go further with credit enquiries the assistant then asked for the same ..... I need your card ( social security )to fax to head office I asked her to please get the manager . Then the fun started :). The manager immediately approached us and said that he understood my predicament as he escaped from civil war some 8 years ago etc from somewhere and that we were on the same page ...... Well that was some time ago my friend and I didnt enter this country on some asylum ticket ... I paid a hefty sum of money to come to this country, as well as satisfying homeland security, the FBI and the security services of my own country the UK. That though is besides the point . I informed him that what they were doing was illegal. He then proceeded to tell me that in the eight years this is the first time this has happened ( probably someone complaining is something hes not used to) and that he would call head office . I asked him if he asked everyone to provide a hard copy, becoming more guarded now he appeared to get upset ... Skirted the question and I then informed him that as I was not being treated as everyone else that this was racial discrimination as well. So we have discrimination and we have an illegal act. He disappeared to his office and came back with the answer that only a corporation can come up with . He said, and I quote, they want you to go to social security and obtain a letter to prove who you are. so..... It would seem that my employers, homeland security, the FBI, the driving licence people, the Social Security Office and my doctor are all morons and that a company that sells phones have got it right ? I explained to him that I understand and that obviously hes a corporate clone that has to do as they say. With that, .... He then asked me to leave . It seems that a company that has numerous class action law suits, complainers on google and have been successfully prosecuted in court for cheating customers are now questioning my integrity ? ... Hummmm interesting . So, when the management run out of responses or have been shown hard facts they ask you to leave the store ? ..We then left, went to another provider got our two phones ( galaxy and iPhone ) and happily transferred the numbers and now pay less as well and NO ONE asked for my card to be faxed . I reminded our Cuban ( or whatever nationality he was ) manager ( and if thats inaccurate I apologise, ) that in fact on the letter you Receive with a SS card it actually tells you not to carry it ...... If you want potentially to be asked to leave a store if you question anything and judged by people as to your identity when they themselves ( Verizon) are convicted felons then go for it . I will raise an action myself but unfortunately have to take my place in a long line to do so ....... Incidentally, both my wife and myself sell high end cars for a very reputable company .. And not once do we ask for a hard copy of a card to be faxed . Simply their number suffices . the choice is yours when using this company . You have been warned .
