42 years ago I bought a rocking chair for my wife for Christmas. After rocking two kids to sleep on it and over the course of time, the chair had seen better days. It sat in our basement for years and was never used. This year, I decided to surprise her on Christmas and get it reupholstered. After searching the internet I decided to try Aurora Upholstery, based on their many positive reviews. Alex was very quick to respond to my inquiries. Christmas was fast approaching but he promised he would get it done on time. I dropped it off and he helped me choose a fabric. He didnt push me towards an expensive fabric but rather suggested one that was very reasonable and helped keep the cost down. The chair was ready in less than a week. When I went to pick it up, I walked in the store and my chair was sitting there with the old fabric on it. I looked at Alex and he was grinning. He had draped the old material over the chair to make it look like nothing had been done. (I did the same thing to my wife on Christmas morning :-) The chair ended up to be beautiful. Alex even cleaned and polished the wood. My wife is extremely happy with her new old chair and is ready to rock our grandkids to sleep on it. Great job by Aurora Upholstery. Highly recommended!

Aurora Upholstery reupholstered my couch and a chair. The work was beautifully done and in a timely manner. Both pieces of furniture look like new, and I am very pleased with the quality and workmanship. I highly recommend this business.

Our 12 year old leather couch had flattened in the middle and the fabric behind and around the seats had torn. Aurora found 4 springs that needed to be replaced and one of the wooden support beams was broken. Aurora fixed the springs and board and replaced all the foam. The couch feels like brand new and the price was very reasonable!

I had a couch and chair, both twenty one years old that needed to be replaced/recovered. They were very expensive and looking to replace them was going to cost me more money than I wanted to spend. After checking my options and reading reviews I decided to go with Luis at Aurora Upholstery. Best decision I could of made! I brought in my own fabric (Luis advised how much, if the fabric was suitable), picked up the furniture and recovered the pieces. They look fabulous! I recently brought in two very old wing back chairs that were my mothers to Aurora Upholstery. It’s a small, older shop right in Aurora. The price was VERY reasonable compared to other places that I had checked into. They had a large selection of fabrics to choose from and had exactly what I was looking for. Again, fabric was also a very reasonable price. They sent a message just a little over a week after drop off and they were finished. I can not emphasize enough the quality that was put into these chairs! I am in love with them all over again!! They did an absolutely beautiful job!! They sent an update photo after they had them stripped down as well so I knew the process as they went along. If you need anything reupholstered, please do yourself a favor and reach out to these guys. They take pride in their work and love what they do and it shows in their work. So amazing. Having just about given up finding anyone that I could afford and who would do a good job. Well not only did I find someone, I found someone special. Having furniture re-upholstered is expensive. It cost more than just going out and buying new. But Alex first and foremost is just awesome. He has is own fabric that you can order, or he allows you to go find something you like. Hes honest, sweet ( he sent me pictures of work in progress) just a great experience all around. Much better than my visit to Calico Corners. The job was great, my chairs are beautiful, came in early LOVE. Thank you Alex

Very fast and good work

Way too expensive I want their 30 years ago once they want a double for a canvas for my boat so I went to Elburn I recently went there 3 years ago and they repaired my C on my blue Mustang for 225 to replace one small leather panel of some scrap leather they had in the shop but the last time I went there yesterday they wanted $500 just two repair two panels on two bucket seats on my Infiniti so I did it myself for $10 in about an hour of my time
