The owner is awesome. He’s down to earth, really gives his team the effort to give the best customer service. The selection is rare and I don’t think I have ever seen so many local choices in a single fridge. Help wanted, because awesome is a team sport.

This store is always my go-to. The staff are all friendly and knowledgeable. Their store is bright, always clean, and stocked well. They have a walk in beer cooler for larger boxes, a fantastic wine selection to include a decent selection of chilled wines.They have rewards programs and do military discounts.

This is a great little liquor store! The selection is good and apparently expanding under new ownership. The staff brought on are all very friendly and seem eager to get what the customer what they want. My favorite clerk still works there and is super-helpful. Overall, this is a store worth visiting and one Ive been told is growing. I cant wait to see how much better it gets!

Great store with an excellent selection of beer, wine, & liquor. Of course, beer is king in Colorado and Pioneer excels in that area. Regular deliveries of WeldWerks, New Image, and numerous other awesome Colorado breweries. They also have a great bomber selection. And the stores location is close to lots of other shopping, food, and housing, so definitely a great neighborhood liquor store.

We are from out of town and were visiting close family friends. Of course, we needed some Thanksgiving Cheer. We found out that the store recently got new owners. I cant remember his name, but the new owner was working the night we went in and was super helpful, especially about local bourbons and whiskeys. Super friendly, great selection, good prices. Highly recommend.

Were just up the street in Piney Creek and have shopped at Pioneer Hills Liquor since 2012. I have felt customer service to be lacking on occasion, but nothing compares to the outrageously rude and hostile behavior three adult members of my family were subjected to the evening of April 2nd by a male cashier. We left immediately and completed our large purchase down the street. Do yourself a favor and drive by Pioneer Hills to one of several well stocked liquor stores within a mile of the place where brute hostility is the last thing youll encounter from an owner, manager or employee.

Always feel welcome, and they have the best beer now that new folks own it. I had to order some special scotch for a friend that wasnt in stock, but I havent been able to find it anywhere. The beer suggestions were amazing... serious booze geeks here!

Went in for champagne. As a non-drinker I definitely needed assistance. The gentleman that helped me was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable, answering all my questions. Would absolutely recommend this store!

Incompetent management – I’ve been in this store a few times and been underwhelmed by the helpfulness of the staff. But most recently while myself and other customers were in the store I saw a female manager yelling at what appeared to be a newly hired female staff member in training. Wow, just wow! Extremely rude and unprofessional management, I couldn’t believe it. The poor girl was just asking a new employee kind of question, I hope she quit and found a new job. The store itself looks very nice since the ownership changed last fall but the new owners clearly need to be aware of who their managers are and how they treat staff. This is how they represent their store to the public??? You never know who is watching. No thank you, this visit left a negative impression and I will no longer be a customer.

I have been shopping at Pioneer Hills Liquor under the previous ownership and new one. Previous ownership understood price but not inventory levels. Current ownership understands inventory but not price. In the span of two months certain bottles have risen in price over 20% percent. Yes the store is no longer out of stock of everything but at these prices Corner Star is the better bet because of the rewards offered and selection. Is a 20% rise in prices because of the removal of carpet and putting in faux hard wood? The price of capitol improvements would have been factored in when obtaining an SBA loan, so what gives on a 20% price hike? The customers who live in Piney Creek know the prices, selection and rewards in local stores. Take for instance Hall wine. Its a 2014 Cab suggested retail prices between $42-45 per bottle prices can vary +/- $5. (Total Beverage $38/ bottle. Liquor store next to Costco $40/ bottle) yet here at Pioneer Hills Liquor it is a $55/bottle. Duckhorn Cab is the same price at Corner Star that it is at Pioneer Hills Liquor. Is it nice and convient that the local store is carrying nicer wines, of course and they are again in stock but the prices charged are not worth vs the rewards offered and what previous prices use to be. Staff is excellent, very knowledgeable, friendly and appears to care. The store facelift is great and enhances the total experience vs previous. With all the good that has happened I cannot understand how a 20% mark up on certain products is justified .If the goal is to look nice and loose customers, congratulations mission accomplished. Corner Star now has me 100% at least I can use my reward points towards Screamin Eagle or Opus that is priced under normal comps. If you would care to contact you me you are more than welcome too.
