I purchased a beautiful olive wood Nativity music box from Bethlehem Handicrafts at our local parish. In 2019, I visited the Holy Land and I found the exact same nativity music box for sale in Bethlehem for more than twice the price! I love Bethlehem Handicrafts not only for the beautiful products they offer but also that I am able to support artists in the Holy Land with my purchase.

My husband and I bought a crucifix and Pieta from the Bannoura family. They are both so beautiful. I look at the Pieta while Im praying and you feel you are right there with the Holy Mother and Jesus. The expressions, postures, and tiny details are so lifelike.

Went to this shop with a group. The owner is very nice. I bought a one of a kind nativity, hand carved of olive wood. I would have never spent that much money on something like that but it is magnificent. I also still order from there because they offer great quality olive wood carvings, most are unique and very practical gifts. The owner was very knowledgeable and shared how to properly maintain your carving so it could be kept looking beautiful after long term use (light washing, oiling, ect). I was very picky about the wood grain in my carving and the owner was very helpful by digging through his storage stock to find some other carvings to select from. I highly recommend

It all started with a crucifix. From there, our family collection grew. Next a rosary, then our first masterpiece! St George, our sons patron saint, is an incredible work of art, not to mention very difficult to find! Then more pieces...a small cross, a hand cross for my grandson, a wall crucifix for my daughter. Then a second masterpiece! St Francis, my husbands patron saint. Then a third! Our beautiful, double sided table crucifix. And Guadalupe! But, we were still missing something. My patron saint, St John the Evangelist. I spoke with George Bannoura about carving one for me. I just received it. I got goosebumps, I cried. He is stunning. The detail that goes into these carvings is beyond words. The Bannoura family are truly blessed craftsmen.
