Not horrible. Clean and most prices were relatively fair. There were odd things, like a hairbrush display Id expect to see in a drug store, but not Penneys. Depending on which department/register/employee you found, attitude and info ranged from you MUST be new, to WOW! *Asked an employee in the womens dept. about business wear/suit coats/blazers and was pointed to a small rack with 4 sweaters and told that it was ALL they had. LOL! (Found the business wear around a corner and down about 10 feet - she must come in through a different door! LOL! And, I interrupted her staring off into space break.) Other employees were super helpful and actually helped me LOOK for things.The layout isnt great, it looks like a store that is on its way out, but not a horrible place to go if youre in need of a good old department store.

Ive been going to this place for a long time. Employees are helpful, courteous. Prices are reasonable and sales go online and in store. I try and visit this store 1-2 times a month. I have 2 stores that Ill visit..check it out....

Selena in the fine jewelry department is amazing ! I had been dealing with several employees in the fine jewelry department and they had no answer for me . Selena promised to call me back about the issue at hand and to my surprise she actually not only called me but also had all the information I needed to know and more . Ask for Selena when shopping fine jewelry you won’t regret it.

Needed jogging pants for my husband who lives at a senior home. He only been wearing jeans but that was no longer an option. The verity was incredible and my husband is happy and proud of his new look.

So nicely organized in spite of a few bad costumers that go to stores to mess the merchandise and buy nothing. These stores still bring the best and never gave up on the most difficult times. The staff still keep their cool no matter what . Please, lets respect the employees and the great work they do. Lets keep sponsoring our local business, If we loose them we will have to depend on who knows what.

Nice and easy to navigate the store no overly anxious salesman or some degenerate theft prevention wanna be fed agent following you around the whole time making you feel like youve stolen something. (Walmart) Id recommend shopping here. Easy no hastle returns as well. I appreciate you guys thanks.

Go down to Macys where they use air conditioning. It was an easy 8-9° warmer inside the store and it was 80+ outside, then find out the escalator is out and the elevator had a lrg line waiting to get to the mens dept. We ended up finding great deals and great service at Macys. We only saw one clerk at Pennys and she wouldnt acknowledge us, on either of our walks through the store..

The managing here is terrible for one there’s only 1 employee that I could find and they wouldn’t even acknowledge me. Two I spent over 15 mins trying to contact the store with every single department having no answer. And why is the store so hottt when the rest of the mall is fine .

I just window shopped. JC Penny has a nice selection of clothes and shoes for everyone.

I came to this location hoping to find a last minute gift for my younger sister. I was not disappointed to say the least! Not only did I find a variety of options in both the jewelry as well as the apparel, but the cashier let me know that they had a sale going on and showed me how to get the coupon for a discount! The bathroom here is shockingly dirty. It’s worse than every Walmart I’ve ever been too. Why would people want to shop here when the store is so dirty?

OMG i was in gere to return some items & while there i seen this beautiful poncho. It was pricey. Im going to make a long story short. My daughter & i was told returns were downstairs after waitng almost 30 min. Downstairs another line. I got a tap on my shoulder & this lady from upstairs gave me a bag & said she wanted to give this to me. I looked into the bag OMG it was the poncho i had been admiring. God bless that woman & her husband. Now, i get to Pay it Forward.

Had nothing in stock. I was looking for work boots. I looked online to see if they had them in store, and they said they did. When I got there, they had nothing!

Its a ghost town. First time shopping in a mall since covid. Felt fairly safe since there were very few people around. Even took mu mask off in the fitting room since I was the only one in any of the stalls.Make sure to use a coupon code from Facebook for better pricing.

Charged me $400.00 on a late payment that wasn’t my fault because it was COVID quarantine days where all the stores were closed and called in provided 4 cards and they didn’t take them. When they charged me I called to get that charge removed, they were very rude and hung up on me twice. Very disrespectful and rude. I don’t recommend!!!! 👎

This is our local Jcpenneys. We have never had a problem with this Jcpenneys till now. We have purchased from each department and have always had great customer service. Previously Everyone that we have came in contact was friendly, upbeat and energetic! 3 days I called and talked to the manager of this store, she told me her name is Annetta. I informed her that my Husband and I had purchased a coffee maker last black Friday and it had I stopped working a month ago. I have called Cooks customer service number and I wasnt getting anywhere so I called the JCPenneys number that was in the warranty book and then told me to call and talk to the manager of the store. When I spoke with an Annetta she told me that she didnt think she could help me/us. I told her that I didnt have the reciept, I had tore everything up looking for it. I asked her if she could look it by my phone number and or my email address. I gave her the lot number on the coffee maker and she said that I could go to the website and see if its available at her store. I asked her if she l was able to look it up on her end. She said it was out of stock and then she told me that she was on a conference call and she would have one of her managers look up my phone, find the reciept and then call me back. The manager Annetta wasnt help at all and she made me/us feel like we was a burden to her and today has been day 3 and I still havent hear back from Annetta or anyone else from that store. Yesterday I called Jcpenneys phone number that was in the warranty book and spoke with a gentleman that was very helpful. He told me that I could go to a different store. I called the Northfield location and I spoke with Dylan and he went above and beyond. He helped us out and we was able to get a coffee maker!! Now what Dylan offered was GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

I returned boots that I ordered online. The customer service was great and appreciated. They really need to do something about better wifi. I couldnt pull up the receipt inside the site and had to go outside and screenshot the receipt then come back in.

All of the sale signs in the baby section was WRONG. the Asian lady out there putting out signs dont know what she doing. The old hag at the childrens register was RUDE. 7 baby items in my cart. Bought NOTHING. i will never RETURN.

My wife had a really great overall experience in JC Penneys today and although I had to follow her around for an hour and 15 minutes it wasnt too painful because I had the foresight to bring a book. Id rather spend money at a brick and mortar business than online, it cost less, and its much better to try things on rather than guess at sizes and cross your fingers. Plus, its fun to get out of the house during this stupid scamdemic shutdown (although it does provide for short lines). P.S., the cashier was really nice too. Were going back.

Went looking for luggage. Found the size and color I was looking for along with a good price 40% off. At the time no one was at the cash register a person from JCPenny salon who was waiting with me to return a purchasecame to the rescue and rung up my purchase. I appreciate her action on my behalf

I love JCPenney. They always have exactly what I need in terms of clothes and they do a pretty good job of keeping up sales that keep me coming. This one in particular is clean and the dressing rooms have always been tidy when Im there. Theyve saved me many times when I need a specific article of clothing in a pinch!

Its always a great selection... the departments are not well marked

I like this store, however, I just don’t feel like they have a good selection of product. Maybe it’s just the items I tend to look for. The kids section is good. The elevator there is sketchy too! It makes odd noises when you are in it, and we literally got stuck inside it. They had to come and rescue us. Lol!

Love shopping here there are always deals love the Levi section both men and womens. Anytime I need a new wardrobe this is usually where I go. Rewards are great definitely helps save time to time. I also love the home section its never super busy so you can take your time and shop. Will be back again soon to get on those deals.

This is a good store to shop at for clothes. There are good sales but sometimes the selection isnt as wide as it is online. They offer a discount if you open the credit card account. I have to find items online and they even charge for shipping unless you spend 100 dollars. I made sure I had a good coupon code so I could lower my price down.

Placed an order on online and had it shipped there for pick up. Only thing that was super annoying was there werent many associates so i wondered the store for a bit. But it didnt take long after i found someone, to get my things and be out the door😊

Did not receive the discounts on some items we purchased that were on sale. Didnt realize it till we got home. Watch closely when they ring you up!

Checkout lines were long, expected during Christmas shopping. Problems w some items, like I bought a purse, couldnt pay for it in the makeup Dept. Went downstairs looking for small line, still ha someone, saw short line w 1 person, purse still a problem by the time I was through 6 people in line. Some good sales, but read signs carefully, only for certain time period and only for certain items, same brand but for different sizes. Some signs sales expired, should have been removed ex; for Sat only, still up next day, on Sunday. Enjoy your shopping!

JCPenney needs a new and improved shipper to help find updated styles. The clothes there seem to cater to the elderly. The quality isnt what it use to be.

Always some good deals

We almost walked out not being able to find what we were looking for. We were stopped by an associate and she helped us find what we needed. Then she had another associate help measure my son to get him in a suit jacket. All in all it was great experience.

Ok sales . Sales girl was not friendly and talking about wanting to go home already and asking people to go to other registers so she wouldnt have to work. These young girls need to be taught customer service!!!

I have taken my kids here to get photos many times since I dont get the ones the school does and everytime they are understaffed and running behind. My advise is be the first appointment. I take them on the weekends so weekdays might be different.

Rating is only for Aurora store and their tags/signs/advertising prices. And one employee with a name that resembles brain. ** I, however, give 5 stars to the very young lady with long brown hair, who usually works in childrens and juniors clothing that ended up helping us instead. (She was amazing, and the only positive experience I had there today) BUT.....beware! Price tags are VERY misleading in home department!!!! All over they advertised 50, 60, 70% off with all types of various items around them on the surrounding shelves and stands, etc. but....close up, the signs say only for certain brands, in Very small print! Those signs are everywhere in the home department! It is Extremely misleading and frustrating. As was the other employee I mentioned above (not the young long brown hair associate, she was amazing) The short haired associate refused for upwards of ten minutes to assist me because she didnt want to input discounts for check my out process. UNREAL, Unacceptable customer service! So....watch out for that and MANY misleading price labels/tags/signs. Again, the other employee was EXTREMELY kind, patient and helpful.

Went in for some simple sizing. Parker in the Mens department was fantastic. Did some quick sizing and gave me a few options to quickly try out. Had everything sized and knew the fit and everything within 5 minutes. Very professional and great customer service, keep up the great work Parker.

Very disappointed with the customer service. The workers dont want to help you out and they are very impolite when you ask them a question. They simply ignore you no matter how much youre nicely waiting and trying to get their attention for help. When they finally talk to you, they reply with effortless attitude and manner.

Everybody loves JCPenneys but nobody answered their curbside pickup

As a whole, 4 stars....the associates today were less than stellar! I stood in line, while 4 of them chatted and a different female waited on the customers, aftr a few min, three left and one of the ones chatting started helping the customers. So whatever they were laughing and talking abt was more important than providing customer service.

Staff are so helpful and friendly. Prices and sales are great here. Very well sorted store.

Painful....not like it used to be. Kids running all over pulling stuff of the shelves, crying kids just totally ignored. Customers just elbowing and pushing through crossing in front of you with no regard!! Staff was courteous and helpful.
