Yesterday, I decided to go check this market out. I was planning on my first attempt at one of my favorite things: pork bulgogi. Although I had most of the ingredients for the marinade, I wanted to make some soybean and chili paste as a condiment and did not have those things. First of all, the store is well-organized, well-stocked and the staff are very friendly. I do not speak or read Korean but the store shops very intuitively and I was able to find the things I needed quickly and easily. The absolute icing on the cake for me was that I found some pre-marinated pork bulgogi in the meat section and (after confirming with a store clerk that it was what I thought it was), I grabbed it. Whoa, baby, am I glad I did. I grilled it up that night and it was a huge hit with my family. There is no shame in my cooking game and I am not so dull as to think that Im going to smash a grand-slam on a scratch-made first attempt. This pre-marinated pork was delicious and Ill be back for more of it and to continue to sample new and interesting Korean foods. I like this store a lot. [Second photo below depicts the pastes I bought, some excellent Kimchi that Jen found and an impulse buy -YUM!]

I love this place soooo much!Their kimchi is one of our must-have in our fridge all the time.I think most of the items are the cheapest here too. They are specialized in east Asian (especially Korean and Japanese) items. If you are looking for east Asian food, I highly recommend here. Their homemade food is very very great! So so tasty😋😋😋Im Japanese so I feel really comfortable every time I go there. :) SO GLAD Austin has them!!

I am a Korean-American that recently moved to Austin. If youre looking for an authentic Korean store owned by Koreans - this is it. Dont get me wrong H-Mart and 99 ranch are great, but the prices at Hanyang are definitely comparable (sometimes cheaper) and the selection is excellent. They even have pre-made Korean dishes that you can try every day. Its next to the Walgreens on the corner, definitely check it out!!

Love this place, been coming here for years but never posted a review before now.One of the few Korean grocery stores around Austin. They have a nice mix of groceries, pantry items, frozen foods and ready-to-eat meals / treats. A one-stop-shop for when I want Korean cuisine at home. The staff may seem aloof but are in friendly and helpful so if you have a question, don’t hesitate to ask. I hope you enjoy as much as I do.Traditional Korean Market. Han Yang Market.

Absolute best place to get Korean groceries! My partner and I have been going there for almost a decade, and they never fail to have the best variety of fresh ingredients and non perishables, as well as kitchen necessities at literally the best price I’ve found. I’m probably the last person you’d expect to see in a Korean grocery market, but they’ve kept me coming back for years and will continue to do so!

Little hard to find in the back corer of the shopping center. Although not the biggest store they seem to have a nice selection of Korean foods. The produce selection is small but good prices. We like the BIG jars of Kimchi and typically stop by mostly for that but the various spices, rice noodles, Raman and other miscellaneous items make it worth the stop. Since we were in the area driving on Hwy 183 we drove down Lamar to pick up some fresh persimmons. Much better prices than at HEB or Sprouts and better quality persimmons.

Its a small Korean grocery store that offers a bit of fresh produce, noodles, basic Korean/Asian staples. If you get there right when they open up around 9am through out the week, you can get freshly cooked noodles, various omelettes and an assortment of other delicious yum yums and drinks for reasonable prices. I really like this place and the staff are quite amicable.

Ive been living in Austin since 2011. I probably started shopping at Han Yang in 2011/2012. The two cashiers/managers have been there this entire time and theyre always polite and nice. The store selection has slowly gotten better over the years. And with the opening of hmart in the last few years, theyve done a good job of staying competitive, I think. This is a great neighborhood Korean market and if youre the kind of shopper who just wants to shop quickly, like get in and get out, this is the right place for you.The neighborhood is fine. I saw a review saying this market isnt in the best part of town and idk what they mean by that lol I live down the street and its perfectly safe.

Its probably the best Korean market here in Austin, but it is pricey. They have wide variety of selections, but if youre looking for organic products, youre probably not going to find it here. I usually buy all my fresh meats, seafood, veggies and fruits at Whole Foods, Sprouts or Natural Grocers, but come here for products that I cant find there. They also carry products from China and Japan, so be sure to check where it your items are coming/packaged from. These days we are not buying anything from China or Japan, just mainly made/packaged from Korea. Its not WFs, but youll get what you need here for Asian products.

I love love love this store! The selection for its size is incredible, and I could not believe the prices. They had bulk individually packaged nori sheets for sale at a better price than I can get at Costco. There was a charming selection of dishware, insulated lunch boxes and cook ware. The produce, while limited, was of excellent quality--remarkably fresh. They had house kimchi (I bought a huge jar!) and many many side dishes as well, made from scratch. Very impressive.
