Rodney has been taking care of my softener needs for the past 2 years and provides excellent communication and customer service. Living in RR but having Georgetown water means we have very high alkalinity and Culligan water softeners create the perfect balance of water to prevent damage to appliances and fixtures. But this is a total shout out to Rodney, thanks for the quality customer experience month after month!

Since moving to Texas Ive been bothered by the hard water, but now I own expensive appliances I started noticing it was messing with not just me and the showerhead but also leading to trouble with my dishwater that was less than a year old. I decided to finally install a water softener. My parents and grandparents both use Culligan in a different state so I decided theyd be my first stop. They installed the water softener and after a few weeks my dishwasher was already working better.I also went with renting a filter system under the sink since I never cared for the taste of the water here and Im drinking more water now and not dealing with bottles everywhere. Its been a few months and everything is going well. Ive not needed anything fixed to know how that goes, but the first salt delivery went fine.

The technician was awesome and fixed our issue immediately. We were completely happy with that service. However, we never received a billing statement, but received a less than professional call. When we returned the call to pay over the phone, no one answered. We then received another rude and unprofessional voicemail to my cell instead of the number we requested they call on. We returned the call and again no one answered. She then again returned the call on a number different than what we asked. When I finally spoke with someone she was so rude, as if I had been dodging her calls, instead of her calling the wrong number. We will be looking elsewhere for service from now on. The hassle involved in trying to pay our bill alone was annoying without the over the top rudeness we encountered.

I have had a Culligan water softener for close to 30 years. About 4 years ago I added a culligan reverse osmosis system. I paid handsomely to have the osmosis system serviced 2x since installation. One of the parts broke on the osmosis system and Culligan refused to ship it to me so that I could have it repaired. I am sure they wanted me to pay handsomely again for their services. I even called their customer services department and still no luck. So I decided to rip out the Culligan product and replace it with a product provided by a small business here in my community. This person just showed me the hose to my reverse Osmosis system that Culligan installed. It looked brand new because it was never connected!!! So for 4 years I had a system that did not work properly. This after paying several thousand dollars to install it and several hundred dollars twice to service it. Never again will I install a Culligan product nor will I recommend it to someone else! Buyer beware!!

I have had the worst experience dealing with this company.After the freeze, they sent someone to check out my system and charged me $150. The person that came could not identify the tank that had been broken, even though it had been installed by them 3 years prior. He was supposed to contact me back, but never did. When I received the bill, I contacted them back to find out how to replace the broken tank.One manager said he would credit the charge and send someone else to inspect the system for what I need. That person came out, could not identify the broken tank, and then charged me another $150. When I contacted them again, I got another manager, Ian, who said that he would try to correct the situation. 2 months later, I have still not received a refund for either of the service call charges. Every time I call, I have to explain everything that happened all over again.This process has taken at least 4 hours of my time on the phone and in person, explaining my system, what happened, and what I need to the exact same company that installed the system 3 years ago.Now I have Culligan parts and need to find someone other than this company to service them.Prior to this experience, they had performed well. Judging by the recent reviews, it appears that something has changed in the last couple years.Does anyone know if there are companies other than Culligan of Austin that can service these water softeners?

When I moved back to Texas I couldn’t believe how hard the water was to my hair, skin, everything... I tried different products and finally said it was my water and called Culligan had the water softer within two weeks. I couldn’t be happier! I can brush through my hair my skin isn’t itchy and dry and my clothes and dishes are also noticeable cleaner. I would recommend them! They were professional, timely and reliable ... I’m so happy I finally called someone about my water!! Im serious, if you Dont have softer water you are missing out!

I signed a contract with Culligan UltraPure of Austin when the stay-at-home orders were issued last year. Since the outset, they have missed deliveries, and failed to schedule deliveries every cycle. I cannot say every month, because they routinely skip an entire month between deliveries. I have contacted their management several times over the past six months to try to work out a resolution, and nothing on their end seems to have been done. I have no idea how their rating is as high as it is; the service is abysmal.

Been a customer of Culligans for over 30 years. Never had a problem. They are awesome. I cant drink water without it being RO water. Tap water taste nasty. We have an RO unit by the sink. I cant live without it, I use RO water for my plants, and pets and for us. I cook with it and only drink RO water. It wasnt working for about 2 weeks several years ago and it was terrible. When I fixed my tea with tap water it was cloudy looking and tasted nasty. I was so glad when they got it fixed. When I was a child we lived in west texas. My parents used Culligan then too.

Whatever you do, dont sign up for their salt delivery service.When I had the machine installed I thought it was reasonable. Now I notice that they charge you over $30 for three 40lb bags. You can buy them for under $6 a bag anywhere. You also get the 25lb bags for under $4 which may be more convenient.That is not all. They now have a billing service that charges you late fee PER MONTH of $5 or 5% of the balance whichever is higher. They changed billing service and never notified me. They changed the delivery method to electronic (again without notifying me) and sent emails to me which went to my spam. I ended up paying $20 in late fee for an invoice of $29. They are banking on the fact that if you dont receive the bill, you dont pay on time and they slap late fee on you.

Do not contact through the website. They apparently dont communicate with each other. Someone called me after contacting via the website, and offered to send someone out in a week. I wasnt in a rush, so great. A day later, I get an email that a 2nd guy is coming out on a different day. I replied back that I wanted to cancel. No reply. The first guy shows up on the wrong day when Im not home, but someone is there to let him in. He ran some diagnostics that wasted water and made a mess to diagnose something that I couldve just told him had he called. He hadnt even given me an estimate by the next day when the other guy came for the appointment I wanted to cancel. I again wasnt home because I had tried to cancel that appointment. The whole point of the first guy was that he was supposed to diagnose so that I didnt need the tech, but they double booked me and didnt cancel. It was also not clear that I was being charged for things, and I was disappointed to receive an invoice for the 2nd guy when I didnt even want him and this was all a cluster. Needless to say, Im planning on looking elsewhere for my needs.

No one from Culligan can tell me if I can buy the aqua-clear cartridges anywhere except at the Culligan store. The don’t even offer this online. So, if a sales rep sells me this unit, I’ve gotta drive out to Austin to get the cartridges. Can anyone tell me of a more convenient way to buy your cartridges which I’m locked in on? If yes, I’ll change it to a 5 star. Otherwise, am content with the product performance.

Bought a Culligan Expensive water softener in 2014 it does not use any salt., I have never added salt to the unit. It also does not regenerate unless I manually hit the manual button which I have done about 4 times since owning. Unit shows 100% capacity, zero water used today, average daily usage zero, flow rate zero, total usage zero.Finally I decided to call and inquire about warranty. That is where I am not satisfied as they want to charge a $ 97.37 service charge for the first 15 minutes and $ 25 dollars for each additional 15 minutes.I have another property with a well ( Very hard water ) with a $ 600 dollar old Sears softener that works like a champ! I had to adjust it down as it worked too well.My advice would be to shop for someone who will stand behind the product they sell you. Just because the unit costs a lot of money does not mean it is a good quality unit.

BUYER BEWARE. We moved into a house with an existing Culligan system that started leaking. We called and they said it was under warranty. They sent a technician out and he concluded they needed to replace the unit. After 2 weeks the appointment was finally scheduled after us calling multiple times. They then sent a technician out with no information and without a replacement unit. Fast forward another month and 2 more visits, they finally replaced the unit. Now after all this, we receive an invoice for the entire replacement unit. We have called multiple times and they always say they will investigate and call us back. The incompetence of this company and customer service is unbelievable - USE A DIFFERENT SERVICE PROVIDER!

They might be the only Culligan provider in town but there are far better companies out there that have much better customer service and actually want your business. Hey Culligan, once again you have dropped the ball. First it was about paying for the unit, sending me late fees after saying I was deferred 3 months. Finally everything got resolved. We agreed to also get salt out when necessary. I needed the water salt after all this financial stuff and they say that they can get a bag out almost halfway through april. Btw, my water is hard now again too. Going to go buy my own bag today. Thanks

Today is the third time I have made an appointment with Culligan of Austin to receive service on my water softener. As of right now they are two hours late. The first time I was given a window of 9 am to 1 pm and I had worked all night and accidentally woke up 15 minutes late. They drove away and told me too bad they already drove away. Fine. I rescheduled with them and put it on my calendar as I was speaking to the woman. The second time I was scheduled 9 am to 1 pm again. I waited around until 1 pm and gave them a call. They did not even have me on the schedule. This is now the third time I had an appointment, they did not call me the day before as promised and assured me they would do the last time this happened. I called this morning at 9 am and they said they would be here between 1pm and 4pm. I told them that was not what I had scheduled for....it was 9 am to 1pm. They told me they had a new install to do first and would be here between 11am and 2pm. It is now 3 pm. I never did get a call. I called them again they placed me on hold for a very long time and still have yet to inform me of anything. Beware of this company. Once you get your water softener the service is absolutely horrible and they do not care about their customers at all. They even make sure to get their money up front prior to service, yet they dont keep their appointments or care about servicing their product. I have called at least 4 times today. It is now 3:23 pm and no one is here. At 2pm they assured me he was on his way. One hour and a half later still a no show. They do not care about their service whatsoever.

SCAM warranty. We were not even a year into warranty. Called before asked for service and told no fee should charge and verified with technician for charges to be only the replaced part. End up charged for part + labor + trip. Called twice to ask about the bill, got different answers. The whole warranty system are not reliable.

These people dont know what customer service is. After four phone calls and four voicemails, I still had to call back to talk to their service dispatcher. The sad thing is her attitude was like You needs us. We dont need you. Time to purchase my next water softener somewhere else.Update - The general manager reached out after my review on 11/1. I explained how urgently I needed service. I was told he’d get back to me with schedule for service right away on Friday, but instead, I got a phone call at the end of the day on Monday. I wanted to give them a chance to make it right, but I ended up purchasing a new water softener from somebody else.

Unfortunately, my experience with Culligan has been less than stellar. It’s been extremely stressful and disheartening. Our unit has had two issues, one being major costing over $800. All within our one year manufacture warranty. What we didn’t know, is that there is a nearly $100 charge including any trips and a “residential fee”. What I dont understand is why the first fix did not receive a trip charge, and now for the major fix, there is. The mechanic who fixed the major issue told us it’s because we received the wrong unit therefore it’ll continue to malfunction outdoors. We were apparently sold the wrong unit. After multiple calls, someone finally came out to check the unit in our backyard now telling us it IS an outdoor unit and this repair was just a fluke. Who do we trust? The salesperson or the mechanic? And if that’s the case, why are we being charged for bad communication within the company and to the customer? We had no clue there’d be a $100 charge and if we did, we wouldn’t have scheduled it when we did. Even though it’s CULLIGAN’S unit that malfunctioned in a BIG way. More than that, we’ve been billed multiple times by the billing department for the ENTIRE bill and twice it’s been different amounts - one $800 and one $900. They can’t even get their charges correct. They’ve finally corrected that, but still will not excuse this trip charge. Good customer service would get rid of the charge - this has been going on for 2 months. We’ve had people from the company continue to tell us different things, our unit screwed up and we’re unsure if it’ll last as long as it’s even supposed to. I would advise going with another water softener company. This experience has been so stressful. $100 is not a terribly large amount, however, it’s not the point. I feel like I’m being taken advantage of and that they’re bouncing us around instead of taking the time to deal with issue and truly helping us out.

I’ve seen some of the negative reviews about Culligan. However in our experience these guys have been nothing but amazing. In our case we lucked out to have Rey Patriarca as our sales rep. He takes his job very seriously and is very professional and thorough. I very much like that Rey took care of everything pre and post sale. He visited our home even during and after installation to ensure everything was going well with install.Even now, in our first year of ownership Rey has been one text/phone call away for support. That says a lot.Lastly, as far as the system and technology goes, though I can’t speak to other companies, Culligan’s system has been on point. It outputs water at the rated chemistry, consumption is actually lower than what I was reading online for average Softener systems. It’s also pretty cool having the ability to see softening, consumption, and other parameters real-time in their App.Sorry for the longer review, but as wanted to support why giving these Culligan of Austin 5-stars.

I wish I had read these reviews before doing business with Culligan of Austin (Driessen Water, Inc. is the dealer). I rented a softener for a 12-month term then went month-to-month. I was enrolled in auto-pay. I noticed an increase in the monthly rental on my bank statement. Contacted customer service and they said they were raising the monthly rental by $13/month incrementally until I reached the newly-established rental rate. I was furious I was not notified of the rental increase and taking more money out of my account than originally agreed. Customer service was horrible. Dealt with a person named Christine who was unapologetic with no regards to how this increase was handled.I decided to have the system removed from my home and requested a removal. Christine promptly told me because of costs, they were going to have to charge me a $70 cancellation/removal fee. This was noted in section 7 of the term agreement. BE SURE TO READ THE BACK OF THE AGREEMENT! Customer service never asked me why I wanted the system removed and didnt try anything to keep me as a customer. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AS PREVIOUSLY MENTIONED.I am going to look for another water softener service but wanted to let the google researchers out there know who to stay away from.

We have had our leased Culligan water system for several years, only have had one problem and they fixed it very quickly. We have them deliver our supplies which saves this old guy from having to sling heavy bags around plus they know what they are doing. I dont do auto-pay but I dont do that with anyone. This system works well for us. In Pflugerville, the water is so bad that you have to have something and this system really works for us.

**UPDATE **Update to my rant yesterday. After seeing my review, the general manager from Culligan reached out to me and apologized for the unsatisfactory service I received. He expressed genuine concern and a desire to make things right. He is going to refund the part of the bill I was disputing. This is the first step in repairing the poor reputation Culligan has in this area and is definitely a move in the right direction.HORRIBLE EXPERIENCEDO NOT USE CULLIGAN OF AUSTIN. If I could choose zero stars I would. I purchased a water softner through Culligan. It stopped working so I called to set up a service call. Before anyone would ever come out i had to pay $97 that included the service trip fee and 15 minutes of labor. The tech came out, basically told me I need to rebuild the whole model so I declined. I received an invoice for an additional $74. When I called to find out why, the extra money was for labor...wait, he didnt fix my water softner. When i asked what the original $97 was for, they said that was the trip fee and 15 minutes of labor. According to the invoice, Culligan charges $89 JUST FOR THE GUY TO SHOW UP AT YOUR HOUSE!!! So $171 later I still have a broken water softner. DO NOT USE CULLIGAN OF AUSTIN.

I bought a Culligan Estate 2/2M and had it installed in 2000. I had a few minor services during 17 years. I remember Larry Woodard was a salesman. I have never met any salesman that is as honest, helpful and friendly as him. When my Culligan unit was broken in 2017, I chose the HE series Water Softener from Culligan because my first unit last for 17 years ( I have very hard water in my house). I trust the brand - Culligan.If I have relatives or friends who want to purchase a new Water Softener, I would tell them about my own experience and suggest them to get a Culligan Unit for Water Softening System.

Good experience with Culligan. Had to replace a new GE system that couldnt filter ANY iron out of the water. It was not high, but enough to bog the system down. They wanted me to install a $2000 filter to take the iron out. My old Kenmore never had an issue, nor does my new Culligan system.

Wow, these people are a class act! Let me tell you, no matter what, do not do any business with these idiots. My girlfriend gets a water filtration system under a rental contract and decides to pay it off by credit card over the phone. These idiots contact her 6 months later with a bunch of late fees. Turns out, they were too stupid to process the credit card. She once again offers to pay the same balance but now they want to add on a bunch of late fees. Heated discussion on the phone and they insist in charging late fees. She says screw it, Ill pay the fine to come current but come pick up your water filtration system as Im done working with idiots. She pays the fine, gives back the filtration system, and now gets contacted regularly by a collection agency for the fine she just paid. CLASS ACT!!!

Culligan man was very informative about the service he performed along with answering questions I had. I was only disappointed because I was told by the appointment rep that the culligan man tech would call me 30 minutes prior to their arrival. My service was scheduled for a specific day but not a specific time. I drove 15 minutes to my workplace got settled in for the morning, then received a call from the tech they would be arriving at my house in 15 minutes. I was ticked! If they’d called me as they promised 30 minutes prior to their arrival I wouldn’t have wasted my time and gas driving all the way to work and then being forced to turn back around to meet them back at my house. Install went great - normal salt drop offs no problem. If you need service forget it. You have to call them when they miss a scheduled service window. They dont update you. The last time they came unprepared for a known problem then no call nothing when they didnt show up yesterday. The schedule window is a 4 hour window that they dont keep.Is there anyone else that can work on culligan watersoftners?

If I could give this location a -10 I would!Faith doesnt have any pull and what she tells you in the phone DOES NOT matter, Steve is the person that makes the decision, which after waiting 20 mins for him to come in, Im told I have to pay $120 and a $400 deposit which is what faith said I wouldnt have to pay. I was told I would pay $100 for regeneration and $20 rental for each tank.I asked Steve for his last name and he told me to leave and never come back to his property.EXTREMELY RUDE GROWN MAN!Customer service doesnt exist at this place, HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE PEOPLE!You have been warned, find your water softening solutions elsewhere.I will be contacting corporate and complaining, Yelp, Bing, bbb, chamber of commerce!

My only complaint is that I wish you credited the entire service call amount of $89.95 against my overall bill instead of the paltry $15.00 you actually credited. Most companies do this.
