I brought an axis deer and thats defiently not what they gave back to me.Total waste of money and when i called to complain they didnt do anything to make it right either.Ill never use them again!!!!Sad cause weve gone here for years

The Buck Stops here is our go-to for any game processing. They also have a taxidermist on site if you choose to mount your game. Great selections and the original owner, Mr. Hudson, is still running the place with great help from family and very nice employees. We moved about an hour from DS, but still make the drive to use them for all of our processing needs! My favs: Buck sticks, Pan Sausage (to make breakfast sausage items/spaghetti, sausage cheese balls), Jalapeño and cheese sausage, Bratwurst sausage. Its all good here!

These guys are the best at what they do. Reasonable price, outstanding service and the best sausage recipes in Austin. When I serve their sausage at parties or to others in my home, I always get comments about how good it is and people ask if they can buy it somewhere. I HIGHLY recommend these guys.

Buck Stops Here makes great sausage and chopped steaks wrapped with bacon! Happy to have their service, maybe a little expensive but worth it.

BEWARE!!!!The former owner of Hudsons Meat Market has recently purchased the buck stops here. I grew up and Austin and went to Hudsons for years before I finally couldnt take the price. Make no mistake, their processing is the best in town, but the price became unbearable.It appears that the same is now true here. I just picked up my 2 deer, and walked out with a $719 processing fee. My friend took his two deer and walked out for just over $500. Rarely have I ever had a bill that is even half of what I paid today.The fault is not all theirs, after all, I am the one who did the ordering. But, to let someone rack up an over $700 bill without saying anything is, at best, bad customer service.As I left today, the lady at the cash register told me, Ill tell you like I told another guy, instead of ordering 1/3 this and 1/3 that, you should just order the amount of pounds you want. Thanks for that. I wish you had told me that when you were taking my order.

Will not be going here anymore.. I dropped off a deer to be processed took over 3 weeks to get it done. for being open 7 days a week. they are pretty slow. Other places only take 1 to 3 days. a week the most

We have used The Buck Stops Here for the past three years to process our venison. I can truthfully say they are the best processors we have ever used.
