As a professional photographer I cant say enough about how awesome this place is. If you are interested in photography even as a hobby or beginner you should definitely go here rather than some big box store or online. They have the best gear and great selection and stand behind their gear. They have the best prices and price match also. You try out the cameras and lenses in the store and see if you like it, or if you want to give it a really good test rent what you are thinking of buying and make sure its really what you want. Ive been shopping with them at the Anderson Lane location for over 10 years since I moved to Austin and its great to have another location open up closer to my side of town, so convenient!

Really enjoyed the critiques and coffee event, such good feedback and fun to discuss our pictures. Noah also did a great job with printing a few that were selected.

I love the Precision Camera at Southpark Meadows. Every associate that I have interacted with has been kind, professional, very knowledgeable & quite helpful. I love that they all seem to love their job, and helping their customers. Its been a pleasure to deal with them.

Much better location than the initial second location. More space, significantly more inventory including a large used selection. Very easy to get to with plenty of parking. Definitely a more convenient location for those living south of downtown. Expert and professional staff, like Tamra, are at this location (at the time of this review). Highly recommend.

Great location and I’m excited Precision Camera has a south location. Unfortunately still suffering from growing pains. It’s at least a 20 minute wait to get help to collect items that are ready. (Prints, digital services) That is if they can move items from north to south store. I’ll still support them but if you visit south plan on waiting to get service. Minimum number of employees working. Ended up leaving without my order. Tomorrow’s a new day.

Precision camera is an amazing part of my team! You can never be truly successful with out support and a great team. Being a professional Photgrapher and running a team of 15 people can be demanding. Having a local resource to help when you need cameras lenses and parts is invaluable. It allows us to keep our focus where it needs to be which is our clients and our team! Tamrah embodies all of this, not only does she get us the gear and support we need, she’s gets it to us WHEN we need it. Much of our success comes from strong local relationships TAmrah and precision camera and a big part of that!

So happy to have this place down south! Tamra has always been able to provide excellent advice and suggestions for the best way to achieve my goals. The excellent staff plus the many ways they give back to the photo community in Austin makes it my go to place for photo / video needs!

I dont live in Texas but wouldnt think of using anyplace other than Precision Camera for my camera needs. Tamra Green is always helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and professional. I would recommend her services to anyone. She is an amazing asset to the company and the reason I will continue to use Precision Camera. She is truly a five-star employee.

Love having the SouthPark Meadows Store!! Tamra Green is an awesome sales rep at Precision-Camera and Videos South Store. She asks questions to understand what you are trying to accomplish. She gently probes to see if you considered other perspectives. This worked great because last Saturday my new Nikon Z7II arrived and it was everything I expected. No surprises! Combined with the FTX Adapter I continue to use my investment in lenses. A 85/1.8 S lens completes the package. Tamra made several recommendations along the month long journey. Truly a pleasure to have a sales rep work with you and not push stuff at you. Precision-Cameras Fashion Editorial Street Shoot, led by Todd White, the next day reinforced what a good decision this was. Thanks Tamra and all the Precision-Camera folks who really help us along the way.

I used to think they were overpriced on stuff. Then I bought a item from Amazon that turned out to be a fake. Went to Precision to get the real deal.

Precision Camera is a fantastic store, and now they have a south location. My experience is that if it’s not in stock, Tamra Green will do whatever it takes to find it. The service is so much better than ordering online!

I have been in the market for a few months.To purchase a camera or cam corder. I am not a photographer.I am a Professional Speaker / business coach. So I needed help to pick the correct equipment.About a month ago I went to the Burnet location. Robert helped me.I don’t want to get into the details.I felt like he was distracted and was more interested in other customers. Since I was not sure of what I wanted I suppose.So I left.Did my home work and picked a camera.Decided I wanted to give Precision another try. So I went to the William Cannon location.The second I walked in I was greeted and was way!! More comfortable.I worked with Omar. Super helpful and never pushed me in any direction with products.I asked if the camera was in stock and then discussed tri pods and wireless mic.I ended up purchasing the canon XA 40 / Sirus tripod / saramonic UwMic9 / 2 memory cardsCouldn’t be more pleased. All my future purchases will be at the store where Omar is. The other associate was super nice as well not sure his name.Precision Management/ Owner- I am a business owner now for 15 years. I would get Omar in your management training program tomorrow.Note to all sales staff.When working with a customer even if commission is the goal. That customer should have your full undivided attention. As if you were going to spend a million dollars.

I visited the South Austin location this afternoon and Dave was overly helpful with everything I had an issue with.He definitely went above and beyond on helping me out today and highly recommend Precision Camera!

Friendly staff, but this store isn’t ready for customers quite yet. If you’re not looking for bodies and lenses, go to the north location. They have camera bags, some bodies, quite a few lenses, but virtually no studio equipment, lighting, video accessories, backdrop gear etc. Hoping this store more closely reflects the north location fast.
