This location shows favouritism to resellers. Rather than making sure that all customers have shopping cart availability they allow the resellers to take and fill up shopping carts line them up along a backwall and do nothing about the fac that they have other customers in the building. This should not be allowed. One shopping cart per family is what it should be. There should not Is the shopping cart stacked along a wall full of merchandise. If these people really want the merchandise they should be purchasing it and taking it to their vehicle. By allowing the reseller to keep shopping carts you make them unavailable to others. You then have customers who much carry their items in their arms. This is not fair. The management of this location should stop this immediately. Stop allowing resellers to take over the store. I was highly disappointed in this location. The location in Hillsboro Oregon was way more organized. Books, were kept separate as were shoes and clothing. Glassware of handled better as well. Not being able to get a shopping cart was just the icing on the cake. Shame on management for not controlling the store better. Also there was no social distancing. When new bins are brought out the resellers rush them so you end up with 3 or more people at one bin. There should be one person per bin to be able to maintain social distancing. If rules are enforced then shopping is safer for all.

The prices at goodwill bins is so reasonable, but with that being said, we really like going to south Austin location they seem to have some rules for shopping. We have never had a basket when we go, baskets are all taken buy resellers that park baskets up against walls . Keep in mind when you visit, I would wear gloves and a mask, because people are to close when you are looking, no social distancing unless you do it yourself . Be careful if you take a child looking in bins, we came across broken glass because people dig through bins and are not carful when handing things. The employees are very nice.

You really have to go chk it out but go when you have a few hours to go cuz this place doesnt have nice tiddy shelves, no grand displays, so you wont pay for elaborate staffing, just for the item you find by Picking thru bins. This is the first place I go when I need a certain type of fabric for tablecloths/reupholstering/blankets/etc. You can also find tables and stools and small furniture in pretty good condition. RULES: Why does Goodwill allow people to hoard what few baskets they have? There was a line of baskets full of items from regular shoppers. ( in a row like the bins). But no baskets for anyone coming into the store. I think these people should have to check out and reuse the same carts. This is not fair to people coming to shop later in the day. There are rules. Be sure to ask about the stores rules. I went and was not informed not to pick from certain bins because they were off limits until the entire row is filled with bins. I went for the first time on a Thursday afternoon. It felt like I was in a third world country they way the people were running to the bins and trying to get as much clothes as they could at one time ( which was actually another rule. You are not allowed to pick up things in a bundle all at once). People were camping out there and had multiple buggies stored away in the middle of the store and family watching over it. Over all it was a cool experience. Be sure to bring gloves for sifting through the goods. Also, they have a food stand in the store and benches if you get hungry. Everything is weighed by the pound. $1.49/lb and if you get something less than a pound you will most likely pay 0.88 for it. Lots of great stuff there, just have to have the patience and time to get it.

The only thing I dont like about it, is how a lot of customers will open puzzles, board games, etc, and will dump it into the sales bins, which is no fault of Goodwill, but is inconsiderate of its patrons who do this. I mostly search through the clothes, while my husband goes through the merchandise. All together, we love this Goodwill location!

Ive been coming here for about five years. The selection has gotten worse, Goodwill is pulling the nicer items out of the bins before they make it to the floor, and selling them online. If you look hard enough you can find a nice deal. Its smart to bring gloves. Please dont take your cart down the new aisles when they open them up. For new aisles its more courteous to take a box or bag than your whole cart. Best to leave kids at home.

This Goodwill store is different than the others Ive visited. They have lots of clothes, shoes, toys, books, and other useful items. Most of these items, other than the big stuff like furniture, are placed in large tubs that you can rummage through. Theres a lot of nice stuff......but you would have to ninja your way to get it. A lot of the Mexican families have up to 6 kids running to the bins and grabbing everything in sight. Then they throw it in baskets (yes with an s) and sit all day waiting for new bins to come out. Last week a lady and 4 kids had 10, I repeat 10 basket mountain high. Then to make matters worse, at the end they throw most of it out when its time to pay. Its freaking chaos! I dont understand why the employees would let them do that. They think its hilarious. Trying to find an empty basket to use, is like trying to find the bottom of the bottomless pit. If you plan to shop here, bring a helmet, maybe some knee & elbow pads, a portable shopping cart, a Valium and most importantly, your ninja skills. Good luck!!

I love this place for treasure hunting! Its flat rate pay by the pound now (used to be different per pound prices for different items), so its really worth it if you buy light things like silk clothing (practically free!), but not so worth it if you find a pair of boots or a heavy coat. Those items could end up costing just as much as they would have been in a regular Goodwill. You also need to be aware of the rules. When they start carting in new bins, you cant start going through them until they say so. Otherwise you will be yelled at and called mean names! Haha I speak from experience. I was waiting in a very long line to check out at a goodwill outlet and when I was next in line I was told that the cashier was no longer open and that I would have to go to the back of another line. Going to the back of another line meant I would be waiting at least another 30 minutes to check out. I asked if I could be next at the new cashier line that had opened and was told that I would have to go behind all of the people who were just in line behind me. I asked to speak to the manager and was told that I was speaking to the manager and that if I didnt like it then I could leave. I became irate at this point. I go to this goodwill 2-3x a month and spend about $200 a month there. To be treated so disrespectfully was so insulting, not to mention that I believe it was racially motivated. I was told that I had to leave at that point and would no longer be able to purchase my items. Although, the original cashier who was supposed to check me out originally had volunteered to take care of me, the manager told her that she was the boss and thats not what she was going to do.So, as a loyal customer, I spent an hour and a half looking for merchandise then waited in line for 30 minutes. Then was told to get in another line for another 45 minutes. Then was told to just leave because that made me upset.I have never been treated so disrespectfully.
