Will not respond to calls in a timely manner. You will need to stay on them for repairs.Do not expect them to show up in the window frame they give you. All 3 times they have failed to actually hit the window that they gave me, so hopefully you’re flexible.Delivered a floor model (only said model that they had) with 5 missing plates. No explanation as to where they are or when they’d be replaced - this is after waiting a month of delivery to begin with.Would give negative stars if I could.

Wow. Awesome customer service experience. O.K., lets face it, a non-athlete woman in her mid-sixties with a bad back is probably not an exercise equipment stores dream customer. You would not know that, however, after the excellent customer service I received from Michael Perez in the South Austin store (near Target at the intersection of Mopac and 290).I walked into Fitness HQ in the beginning stages of trying to learn what is out there in a treadmill which is senior friendly. I wanted a folding treadmill to take up less space, but after fracturing my back a few years ago I wasnt too eager to have to bend down to the floor and lift the deck everytime I wanted to fold the treadmill. That would just be trading one problem for another.So, I inquired about an electric folding treadmill which not only lets the deck down but also raises it at the touch of a button. Although this is not the type that is apparently carried in fitness stores, Michael placed a call so he could inquire with someone who had been in the business a long time and provided me with the name of the only treadmill that might fit this criteria . . . even though it didnt benefit him with the sale. Very impressive.The good news for Fitness HQ is that I plan to purchase a new home with a devoted exercise room in the near future and I know that the first place I will look for an exercise bike and other equipment will be Fitness HQ. Michael was friendly, professional and helpful. It created a very comfortable shopping experience. I now also trust him to look out for the best interests of his customers which is important when you contemplate the purchase of expensive exercise equipment. From my conversation with Michael I learned that Fitness HQ delivers equipment, services their equipment, and their equipment usually has a minimum warranty of five years. All good news.

Nice staff. Unfortunately, thanks to Covid-19, some home gym equipment, specifically what I was looking to purchase, is unavailable for at least 8 or more weeks. But they still have plenty of other equipment. Check them out.

I’m disappointed to have to give this place a 1 Star review. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, but they failed miserably at customer service. Not only did they seem untrained on how to use their own system, they were combative and unwilling to find a solution. I have a Synchrony CC with them and wanted to buy equipment. My card was inaccessible, but you can look it up using my social which is how I’ve always purchased over $10k worth of equipment. They claimed they couldn’t do that and I had to open a new account. After arguing with them, I called Synchrony and eventually figured it out, by no surprise, using my social. After purchasing my equipment, I went to pick it up and they failed to inform me that they had recently moved. The sign on the door said they were in S. Austin, so I drove to that location which was an empty shell. I called and they said they were in different a location back in North Austin 5 minutes from the original location and didn’t know why the sign was on the door. Finally, I decided I wanted to buy another treadmill and they claimed a corporate specialist would get a better deal for me, but weeks later no one has contacted me. The employees are not friendly, not knowledgeable and don’t really seem to want to be there. I asked for the contact info for the owner so I could share my experience before leaving this review and they refused. As a business owner, I would be furious if my employees treated a customer this way and turned away business.

We first used Fitness HQ when our son was born almost 21 years ago. To help Mom (and Dad :-)) lose pregnancy weight, we bought a stationary bike and a treadmill from them. Both units are still functional; their last visit in June of this year was to do regular maintenance on our bike. Jeff and John are two of the best at the Austin location and we confidently recommend their shop to others for their fitness needs.

The Guy there was very helpful and very informative with my fitness needs and questions. Friendly atmosphere. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking to explore more in fitness.

I bought a LeMond spin bike from James and absolutely love it. Very high quality and easy to use. Ive used approx 30 times and it still feels brand new. I would highly recommend both the bike and Fitness HQ.

James was very knowledgeable and thoroughly explained all the equipment I was interested in. He was upfront about pricing and provided options for financing as well. He was quick to reply to emails and arranged delivery/setup in less than 2 days. I ended up with an elliptical and home gym that my wife loves. Would definitely return!

The team at Fitness HQ are excellent. Great sales and install team. Special shout out to Ken & Zane who delivered and installed our elliptical. Hottest day of year, and knocked it out in 45 minutes.

We have been satisfied customers for over 13 years. Recently had them relocate our equipment downstairs. Gavin and John could not have been more professional and courteous.

Weve been shopping here since we moved to Texas. Weve bought 2 treadmills, a recumbent stationary bike, 2 spin bikes, an amazing elliptical and tons of miscellaneous gym equipment when we stop by the store.. They deliver and assemble at our home gym and are very timely and thorough on service calls. We have put many miles on our treadmills and have had them completely overhauled and it was still under warranty. Except a small service call fee because we live over an hour from the store. Dillon has always been great to us, Jeff always remembers who we are, the delivery/install guys are great and John who does our repairs is always so upbeat and knows exactly what hes doing. Wish we had more room in our gym because we just love this store!

Really nice selection of gym equipment. Sales team is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Definitely the only place I would buy equipment in Austin!
