My husband and I have just finished building two modern homes. one for ourselves and one is our guest house. Looking for interior and exterior lights that create interest, found Clayworks Studio on-line. After communicating with Chris to find out about the lights we decided to order. To our delight the sconces are well made and give such a warm and beautiful feel to our modern architecture. We chose black glaze for the exterior sconces and white for the interior sconces. The glazes are beautiful! They arrived well packed and in beautiful condition. Do not hesitate to plan to order these lights for your home.

I got the chance to chat with the owner for awhile and he was a super nice guy. Said hes been doing this for 30+ years. The stuff they have in the store is awesome! We got a couple of coasters and are hoping to someday buy one of the lamps they have. They also had really cool plates. Would recommend this if you are looking for something a little more unique and hand made.

I visited Clayworks for the first time last night for a reception titled, The Great Grackle that featured grackle themed art. The variety of clay pieces for sale in the store varied from small whimsical pieces to larger pots for indoor/outdoor use. The prices are reasonable and the staff is friendly and helpful. I felt welcomed the moment I came into the door.

Local company that has really fun and interesting pieces. Picking up in person was a breeze and was able to peek around in their cool studio!

Found location in the heart of East Austin, it is a cute gallery to find pottery for gifts or yourself. The staff is friendly and fairly priced. I loved the armadillo tiles so much I bought one for all my friends as a memento of Austin.

Clayworks Gallery has an impressive array of clay pieces for sale. If you need to get accent tiles for your house you should consider checking this place out. Especially if you want locally-themed ones featuring the lone star, armadillos, or the shape of the state of Texas. Of course they are all available in burnt orange.

Clayworks was great to work with. Very accommodating, friendly and flexible. We really enjoyed the process of working with them and love our sconces even more!

Thanks to Chris and crew for recreating the custom light sconces we lost during Hurricane Irma. They did a great job and in a timely fashion!

I stumbled upon them while out walking along 6th St. I am definitely going to keep them in mind for gift giving. They have jewelry, clay tiles and plaques. Items for both indoors and outdoors. I like the fact they are handmade and local!!

Had fun creating a simple necklace for my wife and they also have nice pieces for the home. The work they do there is pretty awesome.

During SXSW 2013, Clayworks opened up their gallery, garden, and way-too-cool kiln room for an alt-classical music event I was lucky enough to co-organize. Chris, John, and their team could not have been more accommodating. They truly worked with us to create beautiful, unique spaces in which several performing groups showcased their music. The location was perfect -- right in the heart of E 6th. They even devised an elevated stage in the back for us. The event was a hit, and we hope to be back again in 2014!

Clayworks is a fun and funky little gallery and studio. When I am nearby I love to stop and look at the ceramic pieces, as well as watch everyone at work.

Very friendly staff, answered all questions and were quick to give me a tour of the facility. A very informative evening with a great inventory and good prices!
