Outstanding company and great service. I got a quote over the web, and appointment next day. I arrived on time and they finished 15 minutes earlier than the quote. I waited in an air conditioned wait area with TV and Wi-Fi. Staff is very pleasant and professional. I cant recommend this company strong enough.

Straight to the point, fairly priced, muffler shop. They were ready right when I arrived for my appointment. They completed the job efficiently and expeditiously. Also, they were really nice guys. I will definitely go back if I have any muffler issues in the future.

So far they fixed my Cadillac converter, clutch, and gave my car a tune-up. Well all 3 times Ive been there its has been great, because they find the problem and fix it quick for a good fair price. Also the parts they get are from the original car dealership from what your car is from. So they put the original parts back into your car. Good deal I say.

So I go to this business because I know Brandon will always help me out with anything I need done even if it’s the smallest thing. Professional worker and very helpful and kind. I would recommend this place over anywhere else with such great staff.

Total scammers and rude people, went there to get a muffler installed (had all the parts) and they quoted me 200$. Told them it’s way too high and it’s just a 20 min job and they told me that it’s not the case and that’s the money for an 1.5 hour labor. After 25 mins I went and asked if they were through and was told that they didn’t begin, and when I told them I changed my mind and wanted to leave the guy told me that he’s done. Same moment. I was shocked and told him that I knew it was going to be short and asked for a lower price and the guy started yelling at me that I’m disrespectful. Got the hell out of there and later the manager called and refunded me for the tax - bringing 30 mins of work for 180$. Was it worth it? No. And I definitely wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

Brandon is the man. Came in with a simple issue and in a rush, my exhaust hanger bracket had sheered off and needed to be welded back together. 30 minute wait, 3 minute fix, NO CHARGE, I’m a customer now for life. What an amazing guy. That’s called customer service.

James the owner and Brandon are great guys with super reasonable prices. I needed a full exhaust with a Y pipe, Cat and muffler. They only charge me 440 and they have a full lifetime warranty on welds. Will definitely go back for any other things in the future.

Never trust this place ! 120 diagnostic fee and they still couldnt tell me whats wrong . There not certified and they will guess work your car. Came with check and left with check engine after 250 dollars later. And they want more money to look at it.

I manage an automotive shop in Pflugerville. We take a lot of pride in customer service and being certain that we get the job done correctly while staying on time. We do not perform any welding repairs, though, so we have to sublet that out or recommend another shop to do it. It is very hard to find someone that we can reliably send our customers to that hold the same values, ethics and customer service that we do. I have personally used Barbee mufflers on my truck and they have certainly earned our respect! They did a great job, great customer service and a great price. Went in to get my glass pack weld in then got told I had a gas leak which my car was driving fine when I got there, I played stupid even tho I worked on my own car myself & know everything that’s wrong with it. Got charged $194 just for them to put a hose clamp that I could of done my self for .70 cents, Don’t recommend.

I had my service light turn on, I honestly almost went to the Nissan dealership where I WOULDVE paid an arm and a leg like the usual. A friend of mine told me it would be best to go to a Muffler Shop in regards to my situation for a Catalytic Converter. I happened to look on Google for a few places and found this shop. Ive read the reviews and thought why not. I called bright and early but no pick up ( I was going to call back again within 15mins) and next thing I know I get a call back! It was the shop owner James! Immediately I knew this is where I was going to bring my vehicle for repair! He quote me over the phone and I brought my vehicle in the next day. My light is now off and I am pleased to say that I paid less than $600 for the converter and labor, along with a tuneup! The staff were very kind as well! Big thank you to the shop for helping me out! I definitely will be back! Thank you Steve and James!

The attention to detail and the quality of work was great. Lifetime warranty on the welds is a nice perk too. They did a wonderful job putting Vibrant resonators on my Corsa sport exhaust on my 2017 Mustang GT in the exact spot where I asked. I have no more rasp because of my headers! Still plenty loud but sounds great and way more refined. I definitely recommend these guys for exhaust work.

Before I here to have my Cat back exhaust installed on my 13 Subaru Legacy, I checked the reviews of all the Muffler shops here in Austin. And BarBee was #1 so I thought Id give them a call and try them out, and for sure, just as the reviews said, they were very friendly, no BS assessment, try not to sale you anything else, and the price was reasonable. I was quoted $260 for labor and 2 additonal hangers welded on, after tax it came out to $281.45, not bad, compared to a dealership or some national chain shop. I was very pleased and will be returning customer. James, and the other 2 dude there were so chill and funny.

An honest mechanic is not always an easy thing to find. I took my truck in expecting to pay a hefty price to install a part in my exhaust system I thought I needed to pass an emissions test. Come to find out I didnt need the part and they could have easily installed it, charged me the $380 and sent me on my way... but they didnt! Even though they didnt turn a wrench on my truck theyve earned a loyal customer. Thank yall! Ill be back if I ever need any work done on my vehicles!

I went in for a converter and was quoted less than everyone I had called. The welder, James, came recommended by a friend and I was very happy with the work! Go and ask for James, he will give you a good price and is an expert in welding!

Before going to Barbee Mufflers, I stopped by another place and got a quote of $384 for a muffler for my 07 Nissan Sentra. When I called Barbee for a quote for a muffler, James quoted me $100 which included the muffler, labor and taxes. Well I was very excited to say the least to save that much money. When I got to the shop, Brandon took a look at my muffler and told me I only had a broken flange and the muffler was good. He could weld the flange and it would only be $40. What?? $40!!!! I was grinning from ear to ear and there is a lifetime warranty on the weld. Needless to say I was very happy and plan to recommend him to everyone. He really could have taken me for the $100 and I wouldnt have known any better being person that knows nothing about the pricing of auto parts. I really appreciate the service at the shop. They really made my day!!!

I normally do not write reviews but I have to say that this is the best automotive experience I have had in Austin,TX. I normally perform all the work on my vehicle myself but I am currently 1320 miles from my Mig welder and incapable of justifying purchasing a new Mig welder to handle a quick job. Brandon had my old catalytic converter off and the new one on in 30 minutes. Very friendly and a straight shooter in terms of price and turnaround time. I would highly recommend if you need exhaust work done to visit Barbee Mufflers & Catalytic converter. Quote I received over the phone was higher than what I actually paid as well. Very pleasantly surprised!

Amazing! The guy James, was Honest and straight forward(which is something hard to find in mechanics ). He didnt try to sell me any service I didnt need. His shop is easy to find and he is quick. I have found my new car service place because they do it all. He replaced my catalytic converter which was less than1/3 the cost other places quoted. I cant say enough about this place. James just solved the miscommunication issue about the header and he just ordered me a new one. Some customers enjoy writing bad reviews on organizations because they dont have anything better to do. James did mention he gave me a warranty. I should have told Steve that I was using an aftermarket header manifold but I didnt think it was gonna be that big of a deal at the time so thats why I never told him what pipe I was using. I guess I should have paid more attention to the car back then when I took here in November 9th 2018. The date I officially told the car here to get worked on was November 9th 2018.

Dont second guess, just come in! Great price. Fast. Reliable. I found my new shop:)My cadillac converter pipe had a rusted fall off, my car sounded like a loud dirt bike. I do Lyft and I always am so embarrassed with how loud it is. So I picked up Joaquin, who recommended me here. I called the next business day and James quoted me the fix and sure enough that’s how much it was when I got there. I’m a single mom, fixing this thing for what someone else quoted me ($1k) is not something I could of done. James went straight to work and got me and my daughter out in like 20 min. My car is now back to being quiet and normal. I can go back to work not feeling self conscious!

I have had my car worked on twice by this place and the guy who worked on my car, Kenny, is a great guy. He is willing to work with you and does the work right infront of you if you wait and if he has the time. I had my vacuum hoses, O2 sensors and a spark plug coil replaced and still need my a/c compressor replaced, valve cover gaskets resplced and a tune up done. He explained to me how things worked and why I need to do specific things (ex. use premium instead of unleaded, and a few other tips) to keep my car running and get the best results from my car. I plan onhaving him work on my car and any other cars I own in the future.

Most independent places you go you never really know the background of the person providing the service. This man gave us a comfortable bed for the work to be done. He was to do a muffler delete on a 350Z. All it required was cutting your muffler out running 12 inches of pipe on each side and reattaching the tips. Instead he chose to run this goofy-looking criss cross with the pipes instead of keeping it simple. When he got done or his version of done 15 was still lose at the bracket and was not on the hanger. Also once it is farther out than the other. He tried to claim that the clips on the bumper molding were broken and it was an optical illusion. I am 46 years old I have work and modified mini mini cars over the years so I have a pretty good idea of what an optical illusion is on a vehicle and what somebodys PS is out of their mouth. Not only would I not suggest anybody I did not like going I definitely will not suggest anybody I dont know going. This man may be able 2 install eBay stuff that is pretty cut, pre-measured and preciate it but I definitely will never take another vehicle to him again. At my house I went out my cutter and welder and redid his work. Now my son has a very good looking and then evenly placed and sounding exhaust. I really appreciate the $200 rip off. Oh I almost forgot, he quoted me 160 on the phone and then told me 190 when he got done. Great job. Yes Im being facetious.

Service was WAY better than expected. I showed up and to be honest I was nervous. Its definitly a hole in the wall shop. I worked with the owner who was busy but had his son Steven fix my exhaust. I expected to pay a lot more and to take hours. Steven showed me a cheaper easier way or doing it and had my work done within 30 minutes. He warrantied the work and made sure in front of me that the welds were strong and air tight. I would DEFINETLY recommend this shop and specifically Steven! Excellent work, Excellent service, and a very professional demeanor! Definetly not what I expected and I will absolutely do business with them in the future!
