Absolutely amazing. I failed a state inspection elsewhere because the salt and wet roads from the north finally did their damage and my exhaust pipe was rusted through. The place where I got the inspection said they could replace the whole muffler for $1800. Instead I went to Muffin Muffler and they replaced the rusty section for $110, in way less than the hour that they said it would take. Absolutely fantastic service, quick and saved me well over $1500.

Went to inquire about swapping out my Flowmaster 50 for a quieter 70 series. I was told that the droning would lessen but I wasnt sure if I would be satisfied. I went with it after speaking with him. The 70 was quieter not substantially but enough.He was very friendly and down to earth.Price was less than others and got in and out sooner than expected.

I had packed for a wait, and was out in under an hour. (The exhaust run was in better shape than I had feared.) Parts on site, they welded in the new muffler and added a new hanger/strap while making sure everything was solid. Best of all, it was less than half what I had budgeted.Almost wish I had more vehicles, to be able to give them more of my business.

I went to another muffler shop to get an exhaust leak fixed (it was the flex pipe). I ended up with a quote to change both catalytic converters and the flex pipe. I was quoted 2600 for the job. I came down to Muffin Muffler and spoke to Tom for a second opinion. I had actually came to him for a quote to replace both catalytic converters and the flex pipe based on what I had been told at the earlier shop. Tom, being the honest person he is, mentioned that I did not need to change my cats and that he could cut out the leaky flex pipe, replace it with a new one in 1hr for 240. I could not believe it! True to his word, he got it done in less than an hr, showed me the new flex pipe and the old one as well to compare. The car sounded wonderful and you could fill the improved power when pressing on the gas. I felt so good I tipped him! First time in my life I tipped a mechanic. Thanks Tom! I will be back if I ever need anything done on the car again.

Tom and his guys are great. My car sounded like a boat and there were fumes inside when stopped at an intersection. Tom looked at it, saw the problem and gave me a quote. I made an appointment for the next day. Expecting to spend a few hours in their comfortable waiting room, 90 minutes later they were done, my car runs smooth, sounds great and most importantly no more fumes inside! I highly recommend them.

I recently had the pleasure of dealing with the guys at Muffin Muffler shop...and I’m glad I did.I installed a new catalytic converter on my car and did not want to use the bolt on band that it came wi5, so the search began for a muffler shop. I live near Lakeway/ Bee Cave, so all of the places I called seemed to be put off that I would ask for such petty work. Crazy as it sounds, I could not find a place anywhere in my area and the whole two people I found in Austin had an 8 plus week lead time. That is...until I called Muffin Muffler Shop.A quick call and explanation of what I needed ended with, “Come on down and if you don’t mind waiting a bit we can get it done today”. I drove about 45 minutes and met a very nice group of guys. I dropped of my car and walked over to Whataburger for breakfast. By the time I walked back (30 minutes or less), my car was done!I cannot recommend them enough! If and when I ever need work done again, I’ll definitely be back!

Great experience! Came in without calling around 9a, and Tom said he could immediately look at my car. Determined very quickly it was a simple fix and showed me exactly what was going on; $180 for parts and labor to install a new rear muffler (which they thankfully had in stock). He said itd be an hour but it was really only 40 min, which I spent waiting in the clean and well stocked waiting room. Great experience, would definitely come here again!

I was the sole customer at this shop. Not even a car in the shop being worked on. I had to go in on one leg to find a guy who asked me the stupidest question. Was my muffler making noise? I had left the engine running and you could hear it a block away. I wanted to tell him It sounded like that when we drove it off the showroom floor in 2015 but my wife wanted to try a new road. He told me to turn it off and leave the key in it and he would be with me in a few minutes. I chose to sit in my vehicle but I did turn the engine off. When he emerged I did exit my vehicle but another employee walked up and my employee walked off with him and I sat back down in my vehicle. I waited several minutes and then I drove off assuming they didnt need my business. I went there because of the top rating and great reviews but I dont need to be treated like a idiot because I only have one leg.

Went there with my 2017 wrx to get my exhaust moved over more and at a different angle. Tom made sure I left the shop 100% happy. Really knows what he is doing and allowed me to do it there with him to make sure it was how I wanted and needed it. His assistant is also a very good welder and knew a lot about how the exhaust needs to be without ruining the flow of the exhaust. Both great guys. Get it done fast with clean welds, and allowed me to test fit other parts to makes sure the exhaust was perfectly placed. Totally recommend to anyone and would go there again.

Called around a few places and was recommend Muffin by Munich Auto.Muffin did great work, spending some extra time making sure I was happy with the fit and lineup before welding and letting me inspect a few other things on my car while it was on the lift.You get what you pay for and I was very happy with the quality of work and service. Great price, friendly, and fast service. My check engine light was on and the code was for an issue with either the catalytic converter or an O2 sensor. I stopped by and Tom looked at it immediately and diagnosed the problem. Just over an hour later(they had to order a part they didnt have in stock) I was out of there and the problem was solved.

When I moved to Austin Texas more than two years ago my muffler kept me from the eCheck. I worried it was going to cost thousands of dollars to replace the whole system. These wonderful people just replaced the part that had the hole, only cost around $70, and refused to take any extra as a thank you. Would highly recommend.

Tom did a complete cat-back rebuild of the exhaust system on F150 4x4. I have a dual exhaust system and they did an excellent job with the Magnaflow product. The workmanship is excellent with clean weld beads and they added several new pipe hangers that perfectly secured the pipes which exit on both sides. They gave me an estimate on day one and finished the job the next day. Regardless of the age of your vehicle or the exhaust system - these guys can fix it. Forget using the national chains - these guys are from here - spend your money with them.

These guys are AWESOME!!! I took my car in with major emission problems. I was on a strict time frame for repairs (court order). Muffin was the only one that guaranteed my parts next day. I was given a quote for repairs and when i got there one of the parts was a 100.00 less than they were quoted. I recently visited Muffin Muffler shop for getting my chevy exhaust leakage issue. The guys looked at the issue and diagnosed the issue to be a crack in the exhaust manifold but recommended me to Yost automobile shop to get that fixed. Didnt charge anything for initial diagnosis. They even provided me a high level of what to expect when I go to Yost. I really liked them for their honesty and their think customer attitude.

The people that work here are extremely friendly have a lot of integrity. One of the workers accidentally broke my cheap plastic license plate holder while moving my car. Not only did he immediately bring it to my attention when I came to pick up the car (which was finished quickly), but also apologized, offered to replace it, and knocked $25 off the install.It was much more inconvenient for me to use Muffin Muffler because I live far away, but Im glad I did (twice now). I never write reviews so that should tell you how happy I am with their service!

Came in to have a resonator welded onto the exhaust of my supercharged F150, which is being turned into a track only vehicle. Tom had me in an out in about an hour without an appointment or call ahead, and he and his crew did an excellent job. I highly recommend them!
