I bought an airboat from Paul Dixon and had a wonderful world of adventures on it for about four years. And when that era of my life was over, Paul sold it for me. I have missed Paul and Carol and having them and airboats in my life.
Normally I write reviews for companies that exude great service, this one is an unfortunate review to warn the consumer. Paul Dixon, owner of Air Boats Unlimited, Inc. and I talked about me purchasing an older Wigeon duck boat as I wanted a nice/stable boat to take my son duck hunting. He ended up selling me the boat based on that reason. Upon using the boat for the first time, it was noted that the boat was leaking. After closer examination we noted that the hull had very small/minute cuts in it as if someone used the boat as a cutting station and obviously the saw blade cut too deep and into the hull of the Wigeon boat. Upon calling and talking with Mr. Dixon and asking if he would work with me on this and that Id be happy to do all of the work under his oversight, he declined. His reason was that he sold me the boat as a collectible and upon my reminding him that several times I mentioned the reason Im buying the boat was to hunt with my son, he still declined any kind of help even when I offered to do the work and pay for all of the materials needed. BE AWARE THAT MR. DIXON JUST WANTS YOUR MONEY AND IF HE SELLS YOU SOMETHING DEFECTIVE, YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN.
Great people! Knows his business and I consider them friends now.
Very helpful with 10 or so air boats to look at
