I went into the Bakersfield store, to see what the hype was about. My sister had mentioned to me that her and her husband recently bought a sleep number bed and they love it. My girlfriend and I were greeted by Jessica the sales representative. She was super helpful and very attentive to our needs in getting exactly what we were looking for. Needless to say we walked out of there with a killer deal and honestly if it wasnt for her we probably would have waited and changed our minds. We are receiving the bed in October and I cant wait. Karen was very helpful and very patient as my husband and I were trying to decide which set to choose. She had us try different mattresses until we found one that was a compromise between firm and soft. She gave us measurements to make sure the set would fit in our bedroom. She was very concerned when my back was going into spasms during our visit and set up a bed I could use as I was waiting my turn as a customer and offered the service of another manager so I would not have to wait too long, but my husband and I decided to wait for when it was our turn. Karen was a joy to work with and I look forward to any contact required to enhance my husbands and my sleeping experience on the new bed we purchased. Thank you Karen.
I am very disappointed with the lies we were told and purchase we got STUCK with. My wife called within having the mattress after a week because we didn’t care for it and couldn’t sleep. They told us after we tried to for a total of 30 days we could then return it but we have to wait a full 30 days. Today marked 30 days and now sleep number said they can only return the mattress and we have to keep the $2,200 frame! What good is a bed frame without a mattress? The gentleman at the store promised us we could try and or return if we weren’t satisfied as long as we paid for the delivery/ return fee. I called sleep number and they’re telling me that we have to keep the frame. I have multiple family members that love their sleep numbers but it wasn’t for my wife and I. Especially after dealing with them making us keep the frame that’s not use to us. They also say you can return merchandise such as pillows/ sheets with original packaging on their website... that’s a complete lie also.
As always the people there are very helpful and the products are great.

Worst customer service ever! They’re great salesmen until you need something after the sale and then they lie to you, never return calls, and the customer service is the worst! I would never buy from this store or business again! The 100 day trial is also a joke! Ken lied numerous times telling me he’d call back and get the help we needed! I would not buy from them!

I came in with the wife and kid to buy a bed earlier this week and just gotta say I’m really happy with the overall experience. I was expecting to be miserable at a mattress store in our less-than-spectacular local mall but the vibe of the store and the staff’s attitude mentally transplant you to a far more competent and professional setting than the Valley Plaza’s usual fare. I really liked our salesperson Ken. He was great with picking out our mattress as well as nailing down the best financing options for us, a real dual threat. Being funny and nice didn’t hurt any either.I doubt I’ll ever come back and buy another bed (only because this one very well may last the rest of my life) but I can honestly say I’m never going anywhere else to buy one.
Did not buy our Sleep number bed from this location, but I highly recommend investing in one. I had spine surgery in October 2018 and was in severe pain in the months leading up to surgery. Our sleep number bed was the only place where I could get comfortable and get some relief from pain. We have had our sleep number for more than 10 years and our next bed will be another sleep number bed. Quality of sleep is so important. Best investment ever.

I had a great guy help us out! Just feel like they should have a little more help only had 1 employee working but he was great. Just would work on that! Cant wait to get my bed!

I didnt buy anything yet but the salesman was very polite and respectful to me. I wanted to know how much I need to save for the type of bed my fiance and I need for our backs. He was extremely helpful with both sale prices and regular prices. I will be returning hopefully to buy a bed at some point.

Ken, Nick and Karen were very helpful. We did purchase a bed and look forward to better nights sleep.The selection process is very helpful and we decided on the i8 bed with a flexfit 2 base.Mattress selection is not easy and the darn things are expensive as hell no matter who makes them. With that being the case, we didnt want to buy one that would be a bad choice. We shopped around and feel sleep number gives us the flexibility after the purchase to make adjustments without having to be on the hook for making a bad choice in a bed that does not adjust. Great store and very helpful. All the staff make the store a very comfortable environment to make a decision on spending money on a mattress.
Went in there for accessories for a new bed. Ever since I purchased the bed the E6. I have never slept better in my whole life... go in there tell them Craig Olsen sent you... Im a morning man again.

I actually never got the bed, cancelled it but they bill me each month for it. I have called several time and they keep saying its taken care of.......not even close. Do yourself a favor and run away from Sleep Number, I should have heed the warnings from others.... I have never been bill for something that I never received and then been told by that company they are working on it...3 months later? Customer service people are nice, but that doesnt get it when it shows on your credit. There doesnt seem to be anyone that can take care of these problems. Very sad. Never again......

I have not received my bed as of yet but I will update this review when I have. In the meantime I’d Iike to give 5 stars to Ken at this Bakersfied location Sleep Number store. I usually do not mix with with salesmen but Ken did great without BS and over selling us anything. He was knowledgeable, eager, fun and knew his limits nonetheless. Now, let’s just hope my bed is everything we paid top dollar for lol
This review is about the people in this store not their beds. While a sleep number was not the right comfort fit for my wife and I, their initial quality did seem very good and above average. The delivery and setup team were very courteous, professional, and efficiently quick. For the bed I would give it a 3 stars. I’m writing this review because Ive seen so many bad reviews for sleep number as a company and that is not the experience I had. The manager at this store was the friendliest mattress professional I have dealt with this year, at the time of this writing thats 3 brick and mortar stores (read my Urners Z’s Please review) and 2 internet companies. I felt he truly cared about our sleep and wanted to do everything he could to help us finally get a good nights sleep. At first he did seem just a touch pushy but then it felt like he was only being pushy because he thought he could really help us and when we went to walk out the store the first day he wasnt pushy and let us leave to discuss our decision over the next few days no problem. I returned several days later to purchase a bed and at that time he was very clear about what is and is not included in their trial period and very thorough with all the paperwork and making sure you know exactly what is returnable and not. Before our bed was delivered I had changed my mind on the size of bed so I called to have the ordered changed, which he had told me to make sure I do before delivery because I had informed him I wasnt sure on the size. Because some sheets and other things had already been sent to my house this was technically a return which meant by their contract could not be returned for refund again after receiving the second set even though they are one of the few companies that will return sheets as part of their 100 night trial. After we decided that air mattress in general were not for us we returned to the store and he helped us talk to customer service since they dont actually do any returns in stores, it’s all over the phone. He helped us get through to someone management enough who would help us even return some of the now non returnable items due to the previous return for me changing the size of the bed before delivery. And before we left the store after returning everything he shook my hand, gave me a recommendation of someone else to talk to in town and told me if there was anything else he could do to help to let him know. The difference is I feel it was genuine and he would do anything he can to help us find the right mattress no matter what company it was from. So I say give the store a try if youre looking at mattress. And if you read this whole thing, again read my Urners Z’s Please review.
