I took class with Shannon, here in New York City and Baltimore, I love her class!!! She is so professional and full of energy! I Love her, she is fun and sweet. I am so glad I found Baltimore Dance Center. I have never had this much fun taking a dance class. Miss Shannon has reminded me why I love dancing so much. Take a class with her and you will not regret it. She truly cares about her students. In addition, she is fun and upbeat.

My daughter loves her dance class. If you have children I would recommend you take them to see Ms Shannon. Her class is so diverse and she gives them so much attention. She offers different opportunities and Is always willing to go above and beyond for her students. My child loves her class. When she misses a day Ms Shannon calls just to check to make sure everything is ok. When I had a schedule conflict with my school... Ms Shannon offered to help me with Transportation because she knew how much my daughter loved her class. Shannon is very passionate about her craft and loves her students. She even encourages parents to join in ...(which I always try to avoid) Im too shy ... I love how the other students in the class help each other they are like family

Ive been attending classes here for the last two months. Ive found Shannon, the owner to be super fun, engaging, accommodating and helpful. She knows her stuff and shes passionate about dance and technique. Her classes are offered at such a great deal. Would definitely recommend this place to others.

Shannons hip hop class in Federal Hill is super fun, full of energy, and great for beginners. I learned so much taking her class and always have a fun time. Shannon provides the support, motivation, and positive energy to help us improve. Highly recommend this class!

Mrssfunk knows how to teach a variety of people all at the same time. She makes the class so much fun. Shes easygoing, funny, patient, a great dancer and instructor! All in all the class is very enjoyable- a lot of laughs, a lot of energy, easy to learn routines if you practice :) I highly recommend taking this class, you will get a great workout! This class is absolutely fantastic.

I have taught dance with Shannon. I found her to be knowledgeable and very professional. She has an excellent manner that motivates her students to work hard. They respond well to her. I look forward to future collaborations with her and Baltimore Dance Center.

Ms. Funk, while friendly, has cancelled so many classes since my daughter started dancing in late 2016 that I cannot even keep track. Over 50% of one time per week classes have been cancelled with a range of long, drawn out unrealistic excuses. It seems that all of these other positive reviews were over one year ago, apparently her work ethic has gone down hill considerably since then. We will be seeking dance classes with someone more dependable.

Ive taken several classes and have had such a good time. Shannon is very patient with students who have limited dance skills and breaks down the moves so that everyone gets what they need out of the class. Im still taking classes and still learning each time.

When I first came to Baltimore, I was such a couch potato! I had so much work to do, so I would often come home exhausted and unwilling to move. Then, I browsed the internet for dance centers around, found Baltimore Dance Center, and the rest is history!For the past 6 months, I have been one of Shannons regulars! BDC changed my life! Once I walk into the studio, I leave all my homework, deadlines, workload and any form of stress at the door, cos its always showtime with Shannon.Shannon is one of the most passionate dancers/choreographers Ive ever met! Her enthusiasm for dancing is so contagious that you cant leave her studio with a frown! The deals are so affordable too (lol why else would a poor grad student like me be able to afford it?). She treats every dancer with respect, adding counts when we want that, going slowly when we want that!MOST of all, she finds us ubercool dancing gigs with some of the topmost groups in Baltimore. Lol from random dance performances at weddings or adverts(!) to totally dope flashmobs, to (omg) individual gigs at Bar-Mitzvahs, or totally weird halloween dance thingys where you get to put on fancy shmancy face paint! What does Shannon not organize for us? ...not to mention the dance-a-thons!!I have obviously loved my experience here, and you should sign up asap too! Be ye a couch potato looking to un-potatize, or an agent looking for kewl dancers like us :), get on the bandwagon! Much love.
