Such an interesting place, you never get bored looking at the many different artifacts hanging throughout the restaurant. The staff are extremely friendly and very prompt with bringing whatever you need. We ordered the bacon and cheddar pancakes and the steak omelet. Both were delicious but the star was the homemade home fries! I could eat those everyday! They give you huge portions, definitely worth every penny!

This place is absolutely one of my favorite places Ive ever been. Aside from the fact that the entire place is an artistic masterpiece. The food was literally the best breakfast Ive ever had. The French toast was absolutely PERFECT and the home fries left me wanting more. I could spend hours in here just looking at every little detail and piece of art in here its absolutely beautiful. Also our server Peirce was very friendly and VERY quick. All around one of the best experiences Ive ever had at a restaurant WELL worth the long wait.

Needed a place for breakfast near the JH campus on a visit. What a place!! Whomever created this place has a mind that is brimming with brilliance and chaos. 100,000 plus items artistically placed to create a fabulous space. The menu has a lovely variety with choices for everyone with everything priced as I would expect. Large portions of well prepared items. Our server was on it refilling the coffee. Sit at the counter or front room for the most visually stimulating experience. A must visit.

What an awesome Baltimore classic! It was an explosion of color, nostalgic toys, and Americana. We went for the decor, and I was amazed at how good their food was. The bacon milkshake was so unique and delicious. We got the Birds Nest sandwich and Cranberry Melt. Both were absolutely delicious and perfectly prepared. The greens were so fresh and the caramelized onions were done to perfection.

Weve been coming here for 16 years and love this little quirky spot in Baltimore. This day when we visited, the dinner was impressively well-staffed (we are hearing so much about labor shortages but employees were everywhere on this day). It took quite a while for anyone to notice we were there even though we were the only ones at the host station, and we were never asked if we wanted to order drinks (we did) and we couldnt find a time to ask the server, who was very quick with our order. The check came when we were halfway through our meal. We werent there at closing time, they didnt seem understaffed, and not all the tables were full, so I didnt really understand why we were seemingly rushed through like we were just a table that needed turned asap. It didnt feel great. The omelets were good, the toast was hard, and I cant comment on the coffee because I never got to order any. Bottom line is the draw here is the atmosphere, and that wasnt that great on this one particular visit.

I have attempted to dine at this restaurant on 10/30/21 at 10:45 a.m under Johnson party of 3 this was my first time at the restaurant. After waiting 20 mins, we go to the hostess to be seated and she tells me I cant seat you without the third person. Im looking at the hostess in shock 😲. I ask why is that she doesnt respond to me. After not seeing my dad in so long I planned this day with him and it didnt go well. Sadly I was forced to find another spot where ai had to wait a hour before being seated. Thanks alot papermoon for nothing I wouldnt recommend it didnt have friendly feeling to me.

Great breakfast options, corky and eccentric decorations, the host was very nice, the only reason why I am giving 4 stars is because majority of the waiters lack customer service skills and are very bland, might visit your table once or twice, lack enthusiasm and have a stoic look. Otherwise, its worth every penny, this place is a total aesthetic worth the visit like a vintage diner with so much to look at a d zoom into while you’re eating.

What an interesting place! Located in a Baltimore Suburb stands a whimsical doctor Seuss style restaurant. The restaurant is entirely decorated with all kinds of childhood memorabilia and bright colors. It seemed like everytime I looked I saw something new. The menu is diverse and has something for everyone. While the prices are a little high the food is delicious. The service is very quick. It is important to note that this restaurant is not good for large groups. The diner is very small and most tables are for 2-4 people. The group ahead of us had 5 people and were subject to a 20 minute wait while my group sat down immediately. There is also plenty of street parking and a parking lot right next to the diner. This place is like a kitschy dream come true. The designers really nailed the aesthetic and from the second you lay eyes on this place you are drawn in. We arrived for brunch on a Saturday and it was very crowded but our wait time wasn’t too long. The red velvet pancakes are a little expensive but the flavor was so rich, I couldn’t finish it on my own so it’s perfect to share on that subject the restaurant has an added price for sharing meals so I’d be kind of sneaky if you want to. The place had a great originality to it with the memorabilia toys throughout and unique outside decorations but the food was below average to me. I ordered French toast, home fries, and bacon. The French toast didnt have much flavor and the home fries had a sour taste to them. The bacon was the best part of my meal but also was covered in more grease than Im used to (kind of like what would happen if you didnt drain the excess oil off). On top of the food being below average to me, the prices are on the higher end.Unfortunately, this place didnt live up to the reviews I read and I wont be back.

This is one of my favorite, “off the beaten path” places in Baltimore. With breakfast to rival, even surpass the DDD famous Miss Shirleys, The Paper Moon is a must visit. It’s quirky, cluttered with toys from the 70s and 80s (my childhood! YAY!) and maybe even a little overwhelming decoration-wise, but the real star here is the outstanding food, service and PEOPLE.Never having had a bad meal or service here, the French Toast Bananas Foster is simply my favorite thing on the menu, and the portion is just perfect. You’ll find yourself full, while still wanting more.Plenty of food for the non-carnivore as well, so you can be vegan and eat here guilt free. The staff is always upbeat, smiling, and have found just that right level of being attentive, but not bugging you every 2.8 minutes while you are chewing. If you are visiting Inner Harbor, an Os or Ravens game, or just looking for something new, find your way over to The Paper Moon for a foodie experience you’ll rave about.
