Great for fresh produce and international goodies you cant find in general stores! BUT when it comes to packaged items, it can be a bit overly-pricey. If you want an amazing deal on fruits and other fresh products, this is your place. The customer service is good as well. People here are friendly. I only gave this less than 5 stars due to how pricey packaged goods can be. Dont let that stop you though, this place is definably worth visiting and buying from.

Seems like they don’t want anyone who isn’t Latinx shopping here. Terrible rudeness for nothing. I grew up in that neighborhood; I remember when that store was a Giant. Sad that anti-blackness among the Latinx community is still so prevalent. I’ll spend my money elsewhere.

All the stuff my wife cook, i found them here and the price is reasonable. Fresh goat meat to frozen, fish of all kinds .

This was the first of the Hispanic grocers in the area, and theyre the most established and have a niche that actually makes sense. This store is produce central, they have competitive prices on good meat, vegetables and fish.Boxed/dry goods and things like snacks are way too expensive though, and the selection is not very good. Youll have trouble finding things like egg noodles and certain types of noodles for Italian dishes here, and their rice is overpriced, old and not very good.Its worth going here for the produce in particular, though you might be stuck going up the road to Aldi or Walmart if you want other stuff at a good price.

I am so happy I found this store. Big selection of fresh produce, meet, seafood even oysters and crabs. Their bakery items are delicious, my favorite thing with fruit. This is my favorite store now and cheapest prices I ever found!

Its a good store for international food.Prices have gone up lately but thats to be expected.

I stopped by the store to look for a few specific items in order to make a dish I was craving. I had not been in this store and quite a while, but I found that the store had not changed much from what I remember. There were two security guard standing out in front of the store dressed in black and working. As I passed the two guards talkin one was using quite a few expletives right in front of the doors to the store. I continued on into the store and again on the front door clearly indicating that people coming in wearing a mask are forbidden from being served ...LOL. I saw three people at the counter on the left when I entered the store that appear to be selling cigarettes from the counter or being customer service. I walked on into the vegetable aisle where they had quite a few vegetables and fruits that were of a decent variety. Most of the items they had appear to be okay and not wilted. The area also appears to need a little bit of cleaning and is somewhat cluttered along the aisles and throughout the store. This store has a large variety of international items that cant be found in a regular grocery store. This location had multiple number of cashiers available to check out people are buying their items in a timely fashion. The cashiers did not greet me nor were they friendly upon my approach and dealing with them during the checkout process. This is the type of store that I would only visit for those specialized items otherwise there are other places I would spend my money before I go here.

I really enjoy shopping at international food markets, but this one was a most disheartening shopping experience. The smell was offensive, the staff inattentive, and both of the items I purchased were subpar-- completely inedible peanut brittle and foul smelling, spoiled tofu. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

The place is filthy it smells like dead rotting fish. I bought chicken that was rotten when I got it home. Some of the meats do not have expiration dates on them usually the more pricey cuts. The price of meat and produce are reasonable everything else is very high. The staff will not help you and ignore you especially if you are not Latino. The store should be closed by the health department for its many violations.

L A Mart is a great market to shop at if youre buying fresh fruit and vegetables prices are great

Love this place! Produce section is unbelievable. Anything you want they have it. Spice section is superb too. I was looking for noodles recently and they carry every known variety. Prices can not be beat.

International grocery store. I like the place. Food prices are a little above average, but they make up for it in variety and freshness. I found great deals on meats and seafood. Live crabs by the pound. And lots of exotic foods for the more adventurous diner.

They overcharge people for stuff like bleach. They tried to get me to pay 10 for a half gallon of bleach during this pandemic. They arent careful with the way they handle food and you might end up with bad meat from them leaving the meat out all night.

Good for latinoish products. I go here for fresh produce, cheaper than the chain stores, but the other products in the store are a little overpriced. Boxed/ canned products can be found cheaper elsewhere.

It ok. I couldnt find what I was looking for. It looks like more Hispanics were comfortable in there, than myself. Stuff from their culture. So I bought fruit and left.

Great for ethnic grocery shopping

Great prices, great fruit and veggies, fresher than any big name grocery store. Fresh sea creatures still kicking and snapping. The place is very full on weekends.The one grievance I found was their red meats. Some look and smell rotten. But their fowl is much better.Despite my preference for Hispanic food, I cant cook and purchase just fruit.Very small as selections if frozen dinners, its why I drag myself to an immense Wall Mart and those endless lines at the registers where I grew a beard while waiting.Question: why doesnt this store offer self a check out service? Or a massage parlor?

A little pricey on some items, very clean and organized. Great workers, lots of great fish, and world food. But will go back to buy more items.

If you want a variety of foods from another country, then this is the place to shop. Now of course they have American food, just less variety. Since LA Mart is local to me, I can get fresh fish.

I am a employee at the Columbia location and I was discriminated against and I’m not allowing it to happen to anyone else. I am over qualified for most of the positions at the store. But instead of judging me according to my work ethics I was judged because of how I look. Don’t shop at this store James and Bobby are full of evil

The diversity of the fruits, veggies and everything in between is awesome. Its a little smelly inside but I attribute that to the fresh meats and seafood in the back. They do have some pretty strange/ interesting/scary things in there like the whole heads and tongues of various large animals. If your local market doesnt have it or its a foreign ingredient... They definitely will! OMW now to grab a lemon for dinner.

Variety for hard to find items is great. Prices for stuff you can find at any other store is way overpriced. The staff is not friendly and engaging and will avoid you. I still shop here occasionally but I would not recommend it as a recurring grocery store

Finding products is like trying to find a needle in a big haystack. Plenty of great choices but similar items may be in different aisles (example: spices were in at least 3 aisles instead of one next to each other). Prices are okay. Typically the cashiers are friendly but not today. No one had a light on but four cashiers were at the registers. The first cashier I approached snapped Im closed and turned her back on me. I walked back to the main aisleway and loudly said if no register is open then I guess my items are free. This must have gotten the attention of the one cashier who turned on her light. Had I not noticed this one my own I wouldnt have known she was open because no one said anything to me. When I got to her register I wasnt greeted, or asked about my shopping experience, or told the total cost of my purchase. Instead she just pointed at a screen over top of the register. Good thing I can read... lol. The only word uttered out of that cashiers mouth was gracious when she handed me the receipt. LA Mart has to do better on its customer service and organization of the products.

I love shopping at LA Mart. Close to home, fresh fruit & vegetables is what I go there most for but they have pretty much all a main grocery store would have plus a small restaurantê in the back. Yummy too!

You have to accept this grocery for what it is.....and that is if you live in South Baltimore or N. Anne Arundel county, this place is the most convenient Asian grocery around. This grocery is NO Lotte or H-mart but its also not a two hour round trip.

Its ok, Hmart is 100x better. This place kind of smells, especially the seafood part. Seafood shouldnt smell fishy. Feels a little dirty there. If I need some Asian or Latin ingredients quick Ill go.

I stopped going to his place.~Management assumes that you are there to steal. Nothing more that ethnic and racial profiling (ironic considering who their target population is)~The pan dulce section had expired-moldy products. Employee seemed annoyed when I point it out.~Certain behaviors by the male manager with female cashiers, could be catalogued as sexual harassment.Use to go to this place, and previously gave 5 start rating.

Dont come to to this store. To start things off, the store is incredibly uninviting, store management treats consumers like criminals. Secondly, management was seen declining service to African American individuals. Thirdly, there are alot of expired products on shelves; when the stocker was confronted they apologized and said they didnt speak english, and proceded to put the product back on shelves. Fourthly, many products expired and normal are overpriced. And finally cashiers do not speak english, and holds conversations with other cashiers during checkout. For those reasons i would highly advise avoiding this store until management changes.

Truly, this is a place to grab international items that are not readily available in many stores. I dislike their lack of customer service. No one, except for the armed security guard speaks English 😢 either you walk around until you find what youre looking for or leave without it. Its very frustrating.Certain areas of the store need a good cleaning. Not sure the last time they had a quality health inspection 😱Its a shame immigrant communities have to accept this type of business for their supplies and truly unfortunate that the business is operated by immigrants 😢My advice, shop at your own risk or better yet, head to HMART off Rolling road! Much better selections and cleaner.

When you walk in it be smelling like the Chesapeake Bay! All fishy smell! 🤢! Needs to be a lot cleaner and sanitized. This is the worst LA Mart of all the others that exist in the Maryland/ Virginia area. Customer service is nonexistent/extinct. They make you feel bad about asking for assistance. The fruits/ veggies/ meats are not fresh. This place only exists because the options for International grocery is limited in Glen Burnie.
