I was thrilled to discover a local Nepali/Indian grocery store near me. As the pandemic hit, I had to take cooking in the matter of my own hands 🤦🏽‍♀️ . I had to borrow most of the recipes from my mother and grandmother.Swadesh became my best go-to store that helped me follow all those recipes. Thank you, Swadesh, for having all the hard-to-find spices I need to make authentic Nepali-Newari dishes!!!

Good little Indian store. Three isles worth of stuff. For non-indians that dont know, I learned its a place to get cheap bulk spices (like many Indian stores Ive been to)

Good selection of Nepali spices and groceries. Frozen momo are nice addition. They also have fresh goat meat and chicken. I did not see much selection of fresh veggies in the store. Store is not very organized but such is the case with many deshi stores. I also notice that it does not smell bad like many other deshi stores.Overall I had good experience. We will surely check it out again.

Great selection of Nepalese and Indian goods!! BUT please BEWARE while checking out. I have been here several times before and its second time it happened that the cashier (man) rang the item twice for same item. First, I thought that was a mistake but second time I found very obvious of him. He ripped me off with a straight face. For profits sake, that kind of deed is unacceptable. Its nothing personal but I thought I should write this in my review to aware other Nepaleses and desi people who shop there.Lastly, the store has a huge selection of goods with great prices. Shoppers just need their heads up while checking out and avoid any rip offs by the cashier (old man).

Wednesday at around 1pm idk who was working there i don’t think she should be working if she doesn’t know how to respond their customers with good gesture .I paid and she didn’t even bother giving me my stuffs back i had to reach by myself. She looked grumpy and btw this was my third time experiencing this behavior.
