Kiyota is a great one stop shop for all your martial art needs regardless of the art you study. They have all sorts of weapons in different woods and foam for varying lengths and variations; many styles and colors of uniforms; a wall full of martial arts books; carrying bags. They have an old catalog, but there is so much not on the catalog. Never be shy to ask for something just because you dont see it. He likely has it somewhere.

Great place to get great stories, equipment and uniforms from a native Japanese man who knows so much about martial arts. Also has detailed knowledge on many martial arts lineages. Its kind of a diamond in the ruff.

I do not know how he does it. Seriously. Kiyota san has superhuman powers or something. He is something of a legend among aikidoka on the east coast. Brooklyn Aikikai has been ordering gi and hakama from him for 18 years. I call him up on Monday and the items are in my hands on Tuesday! How is that even possible?!? Great quality. Good price. Unbelievably fast service. Id give him 6 stars if I could.

I have dealt with Kiyota Company for almost 30 years and I have always been impressed with their quality, selection, professionalism, and price. They may be a little old fashioned with their limited Internet presence, but they more than make up for their lack of Internet/Web sales with the products they sell, their knowledge, their prices, and their friendly attitude.
