I’ve been to many stylists but Bekah at Anthony’s has been by fair the best I have ever had! She makes you feel beautiful before you sit down in her chair and you feel and look like you’ve just come back from the best most relaxing vacation after you leave. I won’t go anywhere else!

AJS is my go-to for relaxation! Kilee is awesome and I wouldn’t miss my monthly spa pedicure with her! Very professional and friendly staff, extremely clean and offers so many services. Stop by and experience it for yourself!

Went in for a trim with hair that went down to butt, left with hair that went to my shoulders. I have curly hair and curly does shrink some after a cut but there is no way that my hair would have shrunk that much. I have never cried so much over a hair “trim”Update: They reached out to me after my hair appointment and were very kind and apologetic over the incident so I did change my review for that. They have great customer service

I’ve booked with Anthony Johns Day Spa in the past, tipped well and recommended this business to other family and friends, however this time I called to book an apt, offered to pay the 50% down 3 different times until my contract got to them in the mail bc I was given the wrong email address and told they didn’t have a fax. I was told not to worry, my date would be held. They booked my date and refused to give me a decent discount to go with my $500.00 bill and couldn’t get me in until October for my services. The management, customer service, and communication could have absolutely been better than what I received.

I like this place. Havent been back since the pandemic but plan on returning soon as normal returms.

I was sent out with almost dripping wet hair. I asked if she could dry it more as we were going out for lunch. She gave it a half hearted 4 minutes. I still left with very wet hair. I had to dry it on the heater in the car before we could go anywhere. Being generous giving a 2, but have had good experiences in the past.

Went in and had my hair done with fashion color, The stylist did not do a great job and my hair was stripey, an uneven color and not even the color i had asked for. I called the next day to have it fixed. They gave me a date 8 weeks out saying that was the earliest they had. I said okay, when i went in to have it fixed they handed me a $150 bill. When i went over that this should be a fix i was told i would get a call to go over the charge. 2 days later i receive a call and they tell me my service was scheduled to late to be a fix, and i have to pay for the service. I do not recommend this salon. They do not care about their customers at all. Punishing a client for not coming in soon enough when that is the appointment you book for them is ridiculous. You should look at your business practices and learn to take care of your clients better.

I scheduled an appointment for today at 1:00. I drove 45 minutes to get here only to be told I didn’t have an appointment. I showed proof of the appointment via messenger and was offered to sit and wait for an hour for another appointment. No apology, no offer to make things right. I’ve been coming here for a few years but after today’s experience will not be returning.

Ive tried the spa experience at many local establishments but I will always go back to Anthony Johns. Their commitment to your experience is unmatched. I recently went in for a Mom-to-be massage and it was phenomenal. I could tell there was care taken for myself and my pregnancy as well as well followed covid precautions that made me comfortable and secure. My massage therapist Coleen was professional, compassionate, and SO great at what she does. I felt truly pampered, so relaxed, and left feeling so much relief! I highly recommend Anthony Johns!

Im a professional nail tech myself, so maybe my expectations are higher than others. 45 minutes for what they call a spa pedicure is beyond me. No soaking time whatsoever. The leg massage was not synced and I also watch my friends and none of the girls seemed to have proper techniques. They didnt apply a base coat, which I dont know why, because they use cnd polish and the brand makes the best sticky base coat. I kept my flip flop for an hour and half before putting my sock and shoes and when I got home and undressed my left big toe is chipped most nails are are crooked and my right big toe have a sharp corner. Im going on vacation in one week. I wanted to pamper myself and not having to do it myself. I will have to redo them before I leave, pretty disappointed.

Meant to post this sooner. I went in for my first spa experience back around April, I booked the mini spa day package along with a haircut. The ladies I saw that day were amazing, Id mention their names if I could remember. I went in again in July for a touch up on my hair, got in late because they had to sanitize and stuff. Its ok though, they gave me a 15% discount for the troubleCant wait to bring my hubby in for a couples massage :)

I love Kilee! She always makes me feel comfortable. Shes so accommodating, and sweet. She always does an amazing job with my nails, and eyebrows! I always look forward to my visits to the salon!

I try to get a few massages a year, but this year with Covid, I havent gone at all. Finally I decided I was going to bite the bullet and hope for the best. I last minute booked a 50 minute signature massage with Gaye. They asked I call when I arrive. I did and they ended up taking me a little early! When I got inside I filled out a questionnaire, sanitized and got my temperature taken. Very cautious, which made me feel so safe. The massage itself was amazing. I expressed my wants and concerns and Gaye took them into consideration while working on me. It was the BEST massage Ive ever had. My entire body felt so relaxed after. 10/10 for Gaye.

I think its ridiculous this establishment is charging their clients an extra 4% service charge due to covid. I only buy product there, but I gave them my last dollar today just because I dont agree with that type of practice. Sad. People are upon hard times right now, I get it, but thats no way to thank customers who support small local business. Theres a lot of struggling businesses right now, and this is the first one I have seen charge clients extra for supporting them. What a joke.

Went for the couples massage, pedicure. Im a guy, it was OK. My wife LOVED her experience, but its my review.The massage was eh. Guys need to be beaten up more during a massage. NO REFLECTION on the masseuse, I expected something different.Pedicure was great! In my limited experience.Id go back for sure, without any expectations.

I had my hair colored here multiple times. I have also had multiple waxings done as well. I have zero complaints. They all did an exceptional job. Everyone I came into contact with at Anthony Johns was super friendly. I HIGHLY recommend them.

I love Anthony John’s and come quite regularly. Bekah Clark cuts my hair and always does a fantastic job. This most recent visit exceeded all my expectations though. When I woke up with muscle spasms, I called hoping to get an appointment this week. They had one available for me the same day. Stephanie was my masseuse and I have never had a better massage experience. She spent the entire time working on my problem areas with great care. I feel so much better. I will surely ask to see her again. Thank you so much for taking such great care of me!!

I have had great experiences at Anthony Johns! I see Rebecca for bikini waxes and I cant recommend her enough. Not only is she a lovely person who is great to work with, but she is also an absolute professional. She makes the process as painless as possible, does a great job, and makes you feel very comfortable. I had never had a bikini wax before and she made the entire process less intimidating. The salon is also a very clean and hygienic - anybody who needs waxing should go!

I always have a wonderful experience here and today was no exception. Calvin gave me a fantastic cut and blow out this morning. I usually see Michelle for nails and Gaye for massage and they don’t disappoint!

I have been getting my manicure’s done at Anthony Johns for sometime now. My nails have been cared for by some of the best nail techs around. I had a business trip not long ago and had a manicure done at another Salon. When I returned home my nail beds had been damaged and I started breaking nails. The care I received at AJ’s is above and beyond, they truly care for your nails. I am now working with my nail tech Jorden to get my nails back to a healthy state- I will never go to another nail salon as I know that the best care I will receive is at Anthony Johns. I had gotten a gift certificate for Christmas and it was the relaxing pampering experience that I had wanted. The place is beautiful and the people are great. I got my first facial and it was amazing!

Had my first waxing and facial with Rebecca Fish today! She is very professional and you can tell that she loves what she does! My skin feels amazing. Rebecca explained the products that she has chosen to use on my face. Would highly recommend her.

I went for a spa day about 6 weeks ago. Let me just say I was not impressed. Management contacted me and offered to try and make up for my experience. I decided to take the offer and I am glad that I did. They did an amazing job and I am completely satisfied. They made me feel pampered and relaxed. I am now all about giving someone that second chance. I will be back keep up the good work.

I highly recommend getting your hair done by Theresa. I have been going to Theresa for years now and have recommended many family and friends. She has many years of experience, and is extremely kind.

I have been going to Anthony Johns for about 2 years now for facials (around once a week), but Ive also got my hair done a few times with them as well. The staff is incredibly accommodating and always goes out of their way to make me feel valued and comfortable Rebecca has been doing all my facials, she is knowledgeable and has a passion for skincare (and does amazing work on eyebrows!). I wouldnt go to anyone else for my skincare needs. Anthony Johns consistency of exceptional service and friendly staff is one of the many reasons I continue to go there and advise all my friends and family to go as well!

I had the age defying facial.... Which was wonderful! However, they advertise for 80 minutes and mine was only 65

I just had the most pleasant experience I ever had in a hair salon! I went in for a 50 something year old make over, and with Kate as my stylist, she was a team with Heidi and Calvin, who all genuinely offered great info and advice, and Im really thrilled with the outcome! Ive never felt in better hands than I did today- thank you!

I have been a long time customer at anthony johns, but unfortunately will not be returning. i had 2 gift cards that were purchased on the same day and they would not accept one claiming that it was expired due to a promotion that was running the day it was bought. however, the expiration date was some random day that wasnt even 6 months or a year after it was purchased. it is actually illegal in the state of maine to sell gift cards with expiration dates. when the girl rang it up first she said it didnt have an expiration date then they made up this random day. they also tried to overcharge me for services by $25. Furthermore, I get a discount there through my place of employment that i was told i couldnt use because it was a bundled service (spa day) that was already technically discounted, which had never happened before. i am seriously disappointed in the absolute lack of customer service. thumbs down for anthony johns. ill be going to marilyn monroe spa from now on. ✌🏻

The facial with Alyssa was average. She did all the right things but it was nothing special at all.Also, no robe was offered to wear between treatments. So, I had to undress for massage and then get dressed afterwards in order to wait for the facial in a small waiting area. Then I had to undress again for the facial. Ive been to spas where this is unheard of and you simply stayed in a robe between treatment sessions.The highlight of my visit was the Deep Tissue massage with Bobby. He was amazing and Id go back for another.This had been a birthday gift for my birthday. The best part: Deep Tissue Massage

I didnt want to leave a review, I wanted to just to try ignore what happened and let time fix it, but I am still upset. Basically, I got my bangs trimmed when I went here Saturday, and it was my first time going. And I got placed with a random hair dresser - I dont even know her name. My bangs look fine, I like how they look, theyre what I asked for. However, I left my eyes closed the whole time I got them cut, and when I was looking in the car mirror afterwards, I noticed that my eyelashes looked different...a lot different.She cut my god damn eyelashes off significantly while cutting my bangs and it is so upsetting to have a part of my body cut off that I did not pay to have cut. I do NOT know how someone could make such a big error while cutting HAIR. And I just have to wait months now for them to grow to the length they once were.The hairdresser is short, wears glasses, and has a blue ombre hair, to describe her. If by chance someone else is thinking about getting their bangs cut and gets placed with her, please ask for someone else.This experience has made me grow very distrustful and I am learning to cut my own hair now.

This wonderfully place went out of there way when I was double booked at a diffrent cheaper spa to offer me time to have my massage. beyond grateful. when booking a spa day they where verry helpfully explaning the services and setting up a good time. the actual service it sellf was wonderful great massage snacks a bit of champagne then the lady did a wonderfully job with my nails :)
