Matt was very patient and very knowledgeable about shoes. Had several good suggestions and finally found a.great pair of comfortable shoes. I have had a very hard time lately finding that perfect shoe. I was allowed to take as much ad needed to make sure they were right. Solomon shoes, always heard of them and yeah there great. I am glad I went to epic.

Nice store for hiking gear. We were looking for golf stuff. They had zero golf items but a great shoe selection and very pleasant staff.

Nice store. Staff was very friendly. Men’s consignment section was limited and the women’s was hit or miss (that’s kind of the deal with consignment). There was a good selection of newer items but kind of pricey.

Nick was very friendly and helpful. I purchased a pair of boots that I had been reading about. Got to test them out on the hill inside the store, which is a great way to check for fit. I will be back, thank you!

Theres a little bit of everything here. The staff are very helpful. If youre a women with a shoe size bigger than a 9, Id suggest shoe shopping elsewhere. Consignment selection is HUGE!

Very good selection of consignment items for ladies. Mens selection was a little sparse at the time, but it was at a changing of seasons.

Prices are a bit high, but there is a consignment shop, which is nice!

Really great spot with large selection of consignment outerwear. Its been a busy year for outdoor equipment but I saw lots of great products at fair prices.

Epic sports is awsome nice kyacks and canoes and nice led head lamps and they have a huge selection of shoes and boots and stuff basically anything out doors stuff camping and survival and fun and the people there know there stuff if you have a specific need they cant acomidate they will send you to a place that does carry the right thing that you require definatly recomend .

Prices are retail for the items I have looked at. The staff is friendly and helpful and they have a large selection of outdoor equipment to get you ready for you next adventure. Always like popping my head in when in Downtown Bangor to see whats new on the shelves. Highly recommend shop.

Wow!! BUY LOCAL!!! Cam here today to buy some running shoes for my son and myself, and some hiking shoes for my son as well, since we don’t close on our house until October, and his hiking boots are SOMEWHERE in the bin! Let me start off by saying that the employee that helped us...Mike I believe, was AWESOME!! He could have sold me 2 pairs of shoes for my son, but instead, sold us a “hybrid” pair of hiking/running shoes. Then, we moved on to the subject of insoles. Again, my son THOUGHT he needed insoles to go into his new shoes. The sales guy, said...”wait a month or two and see if you really need them” these new shoes have awesome arch support, you might not need insoles (at the starting price of $52.95). What a GREAT experience we had! I am so happy that I decided to come here instead of Dick’s Sporting Goods. Not that there’s anything wrong with Dick’s. The customer service, and quality merchandise that I received today were second to none! We will definitely be back! THANK YOU Epic Sports for a GREAT experience in your store! I really like this store - Im really glad that theres a local shop with outdoor gear in it. I do a fair bit of hiking, and the people there have been really helpful getting my gear sorted out.The last couple rounds have been footwear related - Ive been really happy with the assistance Ive gotten trying to pick out something for winter use.

A great outdoor store. Not an abundance in the options but it has a variety of options. Hiking, clothing, backpacking equipment, rock climbing, racks for the car, snowshoeing, kayaks, skiing. They have a used gear section as well.Not designed for the mass population with the focus on asethitics for their gear/clothing but designed for functionality. I noticed the clothing they sold were wool and synthetic material compared to other brand outdoor store outlets littered with cotton clothing. They even have a ramp to test out your hiking boots going down hill.Staff is knowledgeable and polite.Great local store for people serious about outdoor sports and not just -- another place to shop.

Always revive great service when I visit this store. They usually have some good sales at the end of winter and end of summer where you can get items discounted a lot. Their employees are always very helpful. The usually have a great inventory and have what Im looking for.

I was in to see the Oboz hiking shoes available here. Brad was helpful and offered to order the wides that I would need. They also had high quality gators. I will need to bring my various boots back and size them correctly.

Often visit for camping gear. Good place in downtown to get athletic and outdoors activity wear and gear. Staff acknowledges you and is helpful. Parking is awkward.

Great selection of hiking, backpacking, and camping gear. One of the best places in the area for this kind of thing.

Epic Sports has a lot of outdoor gear and apparel for practically every sport. They dont offer a lot of rock climbing gear which is my only complaint. Its easy to go online and buy stuff for the best deal without supporting local businesses, but I highly recommend going here because you get to look at things in person and they also offer discounts if youre in certain organizations such as MaCKRO (Maine Canoe and Kayak Racing Organization). I have broken my paddle many times and they always do a great job at coordinating getting it sent to the company to get fixed. The store has a nice consignment area with decently priced stuff. Ive sold my own stuff there for store credit which has worked out great (you can also choose to sell your consignment for cash back). The owner is very involved in the community and hosts events such as 5K races and the Banff Mountain Film Festival.

There are many great things about Epic Sports. The first thing I love is their commitment to the community, always giving out prizes, supporting races, and bringing the BAMF (AWESOME outdoor films) to Bangor. Constantly supporting MACKRO and its members. The people that work at Epic are all experienced in the outdoors and truly love the equipment they sell. Sometimes its worth a few extra dollars to support people helping the community like this. Epic also carries great equipment from my favorite brands. Brands building stuff to work outside, not look cool walking around the mall. Many times my life has literally been on the line for the gear I use and I want gear designed with that in mind. If your in Bangor Maine a visit to Epic should be in line.
