Easy to get what you need and employees very helpful

I asked for wood dowel finials to go on the dowels I was buying to use as curtain rods. I got told 4 different places to find them. None were correct and one guy said they dont sell them separately they come with it. Since they are not attached I would have to say that he was not correct. I have been in there many times and never been so disappointed by the lack of interest in helping. Not one of them offered to help me find them.

Found everything we needed by asking for help. Such a big store that you could walk a bunch just looking for what you need. Plenty of helpful workers to guide us.

Menards is a great place. I sometimes come if I am looking for inspiration with such a huge supply of different things. I think their lumber prices are a bit high even in the new pricing normals. If you are lucky you can get a real pro in the paint area, that knows a lot about paint. A large set of pipe and pvc stuff. This is my go-to for plumbing stuff. And I have needed a lot.

Found a few interesting finds. Seemed clean and professional looking. A little expensive on some things but the price is about average vs the competition.

For some reason this Menards is not organized like any of the others. Really hard to find stuff. Good news is its never really crowded.

Tonight Connor wasn’t motivated to help anyone. We wanted to purchased countertop and couldn’t find anyone in or near the dept. I stopped Connor as he was going to the back and asked if he could help us. His response, “well I guess.” I said we needed to order a piece in addition to the two pieces we were getting. So he decided to call someone. Instead of saying a couple needs help Connor said there are two people standing in front of your desk ready to jump you because they need help. So naturally that set the tone for the girl coming over to help. We were not irritated the desk was empty or that we couldn’t find anyone. We WERE IRRITATED because of CONNOR and his actions. “Well I guess?” That comment suggested he didn’t want to help and I most certainly didn’t need him ordering a piece he didn’t know how to to. Then to say over the phone/radio that we were going to jump the person at the counter? So Connor just a bit of advice. Smile often. Realize life is what you make if it and find a new job because working with or helping people is not your thing. Good luck Connor!

Nice store, I went looking for portable a grill not much of a selection but I did find a flat iron which was pretty neat.

Its Menards..... it is the honor system for masks. If your not vaccinated, your supposed to wear a mask. Lol

Baraboo Menards is a very fine store. They stock a lot of product and the store is clean and the checkout lines are quick.

Friendly clerks, great prices and plenty of stock of what i needed and wanted. Happy

Horrible customer service. I Spoke with Joe Witt from delivery services today regarding our damaged refrigerator and the luxury vinyl plank flooring that they forgot to bring today!! We paid $150 for delivery, and it was only 24 miles from their store. After YEARS of being a loyal customer & spending thousands of dollars at THIS store, this is not what I expected! I have never posted a complaint before, but it is so agrievating to waste two entire days, waiting for deliveries ( they give you no time frame in which to expect delivery so you potentially have to make yourself available ALL day), in addition to the numerous back forth time calling and sending photos! We are TAKING our Future Business to HD . They ( HD) also honor veterans and military too, with a 10% off purchases. Id post pictures of the flooring but of course that was forgotten!! So much for starting our flooring today!! I really should just return everything, in addition to the 3K of their merchandise that i just purchased two days ago. Not a happy 😕 customer!! Hmmmm... And tomorrow a call to the BBB!!

The gentleman who helps with carrying out customer items and collecting carts is a model employee. On his way to clock in I asked if he was currently working because I dont want to bother someone who is on break. He said he wasnt clocked in yet but was willing to help me find what I needed in the store. He clocked in and came straight back to me to assist me in moving a heavier item to the front so I could pay for it. Hes a true model employee going above and beyond to help anyone who needs help even when its not his department. Hes very knowledgeable and customer based and is a great representative of your store. More employees should be like him.

The ONLY good experience with my pick up of a prepaid/online order was BOB! This man knows what the term “customer service” truly means. Not only did he KNOW how to address me, he also knew WHERE my pre-paid/online orders item ACTUALLY were. He was also pleasant in his speech. It was only 8am and everyone I came in contact with was short, exasperated and mumbling behind their grubby looking face rags. Being yelled at from behind the service counter was oh so special. Thank you Bob for being my blessing from God! I left that messed up and unorganized mess with a smile... because of him. I am sorry ai didn’t catch the name of the young man at the gate but he, also was polite and helpful!I was not a fan of Menards (for many reasons) before this chaos and now I am absolutely not a fan. I normally go to Lowe’s or Home Depot first. They also treat me well.

Always helpful and friendly employees.Needed a short threshold so they took the time to cut it for me .I got it home and it fit perfectly

Menards has great variety for home improvements. I typically go in the early morning to avoid too many people since this is the closest menards in the area.

Tried to exchange an apple tree (purchased under 1 year ago) that died over the winter. Tree still had store tags attached. Including the price tag and the description tag. Both had the Menards company name on them. Menards states they have a 1 year warranty on their trees. But because I didnt have a receipt (from almost 10 months ago) I was offered $8 of the $31.98 I had purchased the tree for. When I told them this was not an acceptable offer, the manager, Jon, immediately became combative and accused me of having an attitude and told me that since I didnt have a receipt, I could have stolen the tree. To me, this is highly disrespectful and unprofessional.Ive been a menards patron for almost 16 years but after my experience with Jon, I will never shop in this store or any other Menards. I may only be one customer and my lost revenue wont even be a blip on their annual earnings but keep treating people like you treated me and you may find that 1+1 repeatedly adds up.

On the list of will never go back - We had a yard pick up and could not get anyones attention to help us. When my husband stepped into the open breezeway/garage door without a mask, suddenly he had the attention of 4 employees that said he couldnt come in. Had they been doing their job, he would have never had to step in!! Ironically while we were waiting for our online order to be picked, we watched an unmasked employee full on hug a masked employee. Hypocrisy at its best ...

I purchased an $2000 Criterion refrigerator/freezer and the icemaker dispenser chute will not release the cubes. Called Baraboo, they gave me a number to call. Received a mail stating they will turn it over to Corp. and someone will call me when they find a tech. DO NOT PURCHASE AN APPLIANCE THAT IS MADE BY MENARDS

Locked in and the person at the courtesy corner asked me to wear a mask but she argued but she was waiting on a customer at the courtesy desk not wearing a mask, and people behind me came in without a mask, and she didnt say anything I told her, and that I would not spend my money here anymore and I would go somewhere else to buy my home improvement things. In my opinion I think they should reevaluate their policy on masks cuz theres a lot of stores in the area that let people come in without masks or they can come in with masks. It should be up to the person not the business if they want to stay in business and make money.

They have the most beautiful Christmas section. I can go absolutely crazy with the Christmas stuff. And of course they have lots of other goodies too but with the holidays approaching and the country the way it is it made me have hope again. Loved it.

They could move the potting soil and fertilizer down to lower level so people could handle it. Watch 6 people leave cause it was to high to reach and no one around. I took a small bag instead of a large one.

This place is awful. It’s so concerned about everyone wearing a mask for a virus that has a 98% survival rate. They are rude & are the perfect example of how NOT to run a business. I will never shop here again. I’d rather give my money to any place but this store

Would gladly give it zeros stars! Approached by two extremely rude and confrontational employees who demanded we wear a mask. When we attempted to ask about the vacation we had and if we need to still wear a mask. We we rudely cut off, and lectured about private property. Menard has lost my business forever! I hope other Americans will do the same. I hope menards closes for this inappropriate violations of rights and health concerns!

I dont like menards they advertise you get 11% off everything but they are betting that you will not go through the hassle of the paperwork and mailing off all the requirements to find out you missed something or if you do get it right its not a true discount because it comes in the form of credit to be used at menards I also waited for an hour asking everyone that passed to help out some paneling on a cart and they just walked away faster so I know they heard me if I go to home depot I get a 10% discount at the checkout no papers to fill out or send off

Great products and great prices

It was a really big store and I didnt think they were very helpful. Online pickup was interesting, no one seemed to know how it worked when I went to check out. Will probably go to Home Depo in the neighbor town next time.

I get good paint from here. Its Pittsburgh paint and covers in one coat. Changing from Royal Blue to Ash.

If you have an electrical project, your going to have to find a different store since Baraboo does not have outlet boxes.

Store associates are really helpful. Store does make you wear a mask but i do feel a lot safer shopping here because of it. Although everybody has their opinion on the issue. Thank you Menards for providing a safe place to shop.

I have a health condition and cant wear a mask. I just left home depot who didnt stock the metal roofing I need sadly, where no one mentioned me not wearing a mask and were helpful. I arrive at menards get to the back of store where I stand in roofing section for 15 min before finally getting a lady who rather than helps me, kicks me out for no mask. Doesnt offer one or care Ive already been vaccines. Worst part is she wasnt even wearing her mask correctly. Ill pay twice as much at local lumber store than give them my money ever again.

My husband and I LOVE Menards and spend thousands of dollars there annually. Just had the WORST customer service ever in Baraboo in Lumbar yard as we picked up our order. Gideon ripped the packing list sheet out of my husbands hand and told him he can go ahead. No direction or help. Same as we left. Rude! Unkept! Zero manners! Back to customer service for that employee Mr.Menard😰

Picked up a freezer. It west very quickly and smoothly. Great customer service.

Harassed my the mask police after carting up 3500.00 in bathroom items. Will not shop here again after this treatment. Go home depot.

Went to replace a garage door opener. They didn’t have a very good selection everything over $20. Prices online were much cheaper, so before I decided to leave I figured I would ask if they price match Amazon, it was a $3 difference so not a huge savings. The sales person walking around said I needed to go to the back of the store to building materials. Waited in line, was asked if its the same exact item, I said yes and showed the post. The guy told me I needed to go to the front to ask a frontend supervisor. Got to the front and was told no. That was a lot of run around to try and get a $3 savings. Poor customer service. How does your store associates not know your price match policies?!?!? This store has very little customer service. Not friendly either.

I was a little mift that you couldnt pay at the checkout before going and getting the stone and that you had to go to a different place to purchase outside products for your yard.

I dont know I just always like going to Menards,. Everything was great except when we went to pick up our lumber we had a difficult time finding it and took awhile to find someone to help, but all else great 😀

Unfortunately both employees I spoke with extremely rude and unhelpful. First, I wanted help with making sure I had all the proper parts for my sliding barn door. I was able to find someone and when I asked if he was available to help he replied with “ sure, I guess” — he then proceeded to saunter to the area of the barn doors and then proved that he literally either 1 - had no idea about the barn doors, or 2 - had way better things to do than help me. He then got paged and was basically trying to find his quickest way out from helping me, and I could tell that I wasn’t a priority so I told him I could handle it from here.Next I wanted to measure the barn door to make sure it would fit in my SUV. Both the door and the area in my car before purchasing it. I forgot my tape measure,I always already hesitant to ask someone if they would be willing to measure it for me since the last person was so unwilling it help.I found someone who seemed to maybe look a bit more friendly and asked. She basically laughed in my face and then said “ isle 217, you can find a tape measure there — guess you can figure that one out ”Look, I get it. There’s a lot going on. Especially with the fact that you’re working 8hr days wearing a mask and maybe some of the things you were able to do in the past you’re no longer able to. It’s simple, just say “ unfortunately we aren’t able to help you with that, but I can show you where the tape measures are and you can measure it yourself :) “, BUT! That doesn’t mean you need to treat your customers with so much disrespect. Unless you’re an avid Menards goer I wouldn’t know that this wasn’t possible.I’m not one to typically write reviews, but once the lady then proceeded to walk away and scurry to one of her friends and was eager to tell her basically how incompetent I was. That was enough for me to realize that it wasn’t just two people having a bad day.Immaturity at its finest. ( from a middle aged women at that )

Don’t expect anyone to ask you if you need help here. And when you finally track someone down to ask for help, don’t expect them to be friendly. The person who helped us was clearly very annoyed to have to assist with lifting a few interior doors onto a cart. When we asked him about trim pieces he pointed and said “over there someone else will help you” and just walked away. So we left, without purchasing anything, and went to Home Depot.

Employees were the worst and very disrespectful never will shop there again or any menards again for that matter used to be my favorite store

Employees dont appear very friendly sometimes, nobody asked us if we needed help with anything, and spent 5 minutes looking for an employee in lawn and garden and there was nobody. Check out lanes were a little congested. But always clean, open environment

While walking in the door they decided to start spraying the carts as I walked by. I felt it on my leg. I asked the 15 year old at the customer service counter what they used and it is bleach. So that sprinkle you are walking through by the front door is bleach. I say pick a new spot to spray .

They have everything you need in their plumbing department.

Online order pick up was super simple.

We special ordered an 8x16 shed at Menards & paid $104 for delivery to our home with the correct address. It was delivered to our neighbors house. Four very large & heavy boxes. We had to borrow a truck & get 5 guys to help get it into our driveway. This took a couple of hours. I called the people who delivered it, no answer. Left a msg. I called Baraboo Menards talked to Abner, store mgr. Explained the issue, he said he was sorry, but there was nothing he could do for us.Very, very poor customer service.

Had what I wanted and at a great price.

Came to return 4 gallons stain that was mixed wrong after wasting a full day applying an incorrectly mixed product. GM refused to refund the purchase, even with receipt, saying he needed the cans to return to vendor. This was not a product failure, it was a mistake made by the staff at Menards. They were not interested in making it right for me unless they could pass on the burden of their mistake to the stain vendor. DO NOT TRUST MENARDS TO MIX PAINTS AND STAINS.
