In November of 2019 I brought my car in for service on a check engine light. I waited for the repair (supposedly the same warranty repair that had been done previously) and was told it was ready to go. When I started the car, the check engine light was still on, so I brought it to your attention. I again waited and was then told that the code was probably from a sensor and wasnt covered by the warranty and I was then charged a diagnostic fee. Needless to say I was not pleased with that turn of events and left without going forward with any additional repairs. The car was running fine, I only brought it in because the light was on and I wanted to get it checked. I recently started having a great deal of noise from the rear of the car at faster speeds. I decided to bring it back in to your service department, thinking that I shouldnt judge the service based on one bad experience. I was told there was a bad bearing and bad tires and I also decided to go ahead and get the sensor fixed. Again, the car was running fine but I was tired of the inconvenience of not being able to use my remote start feature. You had to order a part that took a week to come in, and then I had to wait another week for an appointment for the repair. During that time I visited a tire shop to look into replacing my tires and was told that though they would be happy to sell a set of tires, my current ones still had at least half tread and did not need to be replaced. Despite this, I dropped my car off Thursday morning for the other repairs. I received a text a few hours later that it was finished. I came to pick it up after work and paid $688 for the repair. When I started the car the check engine light was still on, again. I went back inside and explained the situation and the car was taken back into shop. After waiting a while, I was told that there was now a new code but it was closing time so they didnt really have time to figure it out. Also with the new problem(rough idling and jerking) that it did not have when I dropped it off, it was probably safe to drive it if I didnt have another form of transportation. Of course, I was offered another appointment some time next week and Im sure there will be yet another expensive repair suggested. I am not certain if there is an issue with the aptitude of your technicians or if this is just an unethical business practice. Either way, it is extremely disappointing that I paid you almost $700 to damage my car.
Warranty A/C repair. It was necessary to order a compressor. Jen released the vehicle back to me... not an issue. The part came in the next day... a pleasant surprise since parts delivery for non-critical repairs can sometimes take some time to come in. Brought the vehicle back in that Monday... there was an issue with recharging the system so Jen had to keep the vehicle until the next day... no problem. She called the next day to inform me of completion. A Job Well Done. Thanks Jen & Team. :)
My wife had a pleasant experience purchasing from Harley this weekend! Harley was patient and professional as we pondered and processed our decision. He was never pushy and ready to answer any question we may have had. If he didnt have an answer, he stated he didnt know but will find out for us.

Beware of price gouging during a pandemic on HD trucks. We’ve been looking for a dually and due to the chip shortage you had to act fast. We missed a GMC Denali 3500 HD that we wanted because we paused for a day and it sold. Both Courtesy GMC and Oxmoor FORD warned us to watch other dealers taking advantage of chip shortage by raising MSRP. Courtesy did not which we beat ourselves up for not immediately purchasing theirs. Unfortunately Don Franklin is one of those dealers that has decided to take advantage. Don Franklin claims to be a Christian but he clearly skips over the part in the Bible regarding greed. We are fine paying MSRP for a demanding vehicle but to add on an extra $2,000 is wrong. Thank you to the owners of Courtesy GMC and Oxmoor Ford for not being like Don Franklin. We did deal with some very nice people there. To name a few...April, Whitney, Brandy and Shawn were all very nice professional staff. The manager David Brown tried to convince us it was a GM thing regarding raising the price increase over value which if that was the case other GM dealers would be doing it and they are not so it clearly is a Don Franklin decision. Other than that everyone else seemed like good honest people. Loved the finance guy (didn’t get his name). In summary my recommendation would be to find your vehicle at another dealership if possible. If it’s not available and they have what you want, life’s too short to let a greedy man get in your way. Get what you want and enjoy!

Great service! Tim Perkins was an excellent ambassador for this dealership. I had an appointment to have a routine oil change and traveled from Louisville for this. So pleased that they were ready for me when I arrived, comfortable and spacious waiting area, and before I could get completely settled with all my electronics for what I thought would be a long wait, my car was ready.
2 different times i had my truck in for oil change and tire rotation. First time the tires were not rotated cause the tire sensors were in the same place with one low air tire and got charged 19.99 for nothing. 2nd time the same thing oil change and on the receipt they gave me said I had a weak battery. So I bought a new one and installed myself. Took the old battery out to have tested and two different part stores said nothing was wrong with it. Called them to confront them and pretty much was told they checked it and if the hand-held tester said it was weak it was weak. Never took it out to put it on a charger to truly test it. Never got an apology sorry or nothing. The head service guys name was Lee I believe very rude and VERY unprofessional. So 19.99+ for a tire rotation and 179.00+ for a battery i didnt need. Would advise everyone to stay away from Don Franklin and try to find someone you can TRUST and actually knows HOW to service a vehicle. Anyone need a good used battery for a 2016 silverado?

Didnt have what I was looking for
I have had my Camaro in the shop twice for the side blind spot monitor not working. It has supposedly been fixed. I was on a road trip and the system stopped working again. I am now also having major electrical issues. My gauges will randomly shutoff and radio will stop working. I am also getting codes for every major electrical system. I was on a road trip today and took it to another dealership. They have said that the codes are due to the blind spot monitor. I will no longer bring my car to the Bardstown location. I am highly disappointed with the service department

Bought a Suburban here in January. Devin was great to deal with. Went back today to get the first oil change and tire rotation done. Drop off was painless. Was scheduled for 1:00, and was told it would take about 30 mins. Came back around 1:20 and the truck was ready. Had even been ran through the car wash.

My experience was not very good . I took my car for an oil change and since then have had to take it back twice for other problems. . One time we had to take it back because they did not tighten the bolts down and oil was thrown all over the motor. . I dont believe I would recommend this garage.

Most important to us is the service after the purchase. The sale last a day, the service last throughout ownership. Weve had our vehicle for less than a month and had elective service 2 times with a 3rd coming up. All were not pleasant experiences . I am wishing I had never bought my truck there. Now we are stuck for the next several years. In order to have your warranty, you have to go to Franklin.

This is by far the most professional and courteous treatment I have ever received when buying a car. My calls were promptly returned, the buying process was quick with ZERO pressure and I got exactly what I wanted, and they worked hard to get it within my budget. I cant recommend Tanya enough. The entire staff was wonderful, from the manager to the receptionist and finance administrator. The staff was very polite but I knew what was wrong with my Acadia. They didnt listen and replaced a $200 part unnecessarily. It didnt fix the problem and my vehicle died on the way home and stranded me in an intersection in 90+ degree weather. It was a $1270 repair but I had it done somewhere else.
Stephen Tichenor was great. He took plenty of time to look at different vehicles to help get us out of a bad deal. We ended up with a very pretty Buick with lots of rebates. Don Franklin cut a key for me that did not have chip in it when the original one did. They told me the cut the key right and it was my loss so i will never go there again they are very rude and in professional. They key we have to the car now has a chip in it so how did they think that key was going to work.
My initial issue with my car was addressed and fixed, however when I picked up my car my front parking sensors where pushed inside my bumper and missing. When I received a call from the service rep she explained that the clips that held my sensors in place were missing which caused issues with putting them back. She stated that due to time constraints that was the best they could do. I would have appreciated being told this beforehand rather than discovering it myself. I also would have liked to be offered some kind of solution on how it could have been addressed and fixed rather than basically being told that it is just the way it is. Its frustrating because now thats a feature of my car that cannot even be used since the sensor is pushed inside my front bumper my seat is constantly vibrating and the sensor is going off. I now have to manually turn off the parking sensors each time I start my car which is very frustrating. I would have simply liked to been informed of this issue and offered a solution, even if it cost me additional money to fix I would have been more than happy to pay it. Now at this point I will have to take it so another dealership to address and fix.

I bought a 2015 Tahoe from Franklin Family. The quality of the vehicle along with price was exceptional compared to other dealers. Other dealers lacked in price/quality and most of the time lacked in both areas. This is my 4th purchase from a dealer and my husband and I agree that we got a lot of extras compared to other dealerships. I took my 12, 10, and 6.5 month old with me and we waited for several hours only because my husband was working and needed to sign papers also. Harley and Chad were exceptional. They werent rude and didnt give off the annoyed vibe that many have. They held conversation with my older children and would talk to the baby if she got whiney. Harley even helped make sure she was buckled in good and help with getting her out when I did a test drive. I am thrilled with my purchase and because of our experience we will buy from them in the future. And we highly recommend Harley and Chad at Franklin Family so check them out!

Have had nothing but problems since I bought my car from them three years ago. My alternator just went out and they priced a new one at $350, plus the maintenance and NOT free diagnostic ($100) it was going to cost me well over $600. I can buy the alternator cheaper, get a free diagnostic, and have my FIL fix it (free labor). Every time I go for a oil change it takes them AT LEAST 2 hrs and that’s with an appointment. I had people tell me they couldnt trust them, and I didn’t listen. Now I’m paying for it. Never again will we purchase a vehicle from Don Franklin and I will make sure everyone knows my opinion. The only good thing is the service department has always been nice.
