I had a pretty good experience there buying my first mattress for my first apartment on my own. I guess he really wanted to sell it to me because he tried two different loan companies to get it for me and the second one worked. it seemed a little unorthodox or unorganized at times dealing with different people on the staff but in all I got the mattress and box springs I wanted and Im pretty grateful.

After months of research I walked into Sleep Outfitters in Bardstown fully expecting the salesman would do everything in his power to convince me that I needed to spend more money. My salesman, Jason, was patient and listened to me describe exactly what I wanted, and led me to to the exact mattress I had been researching. Jason was very knowledgeable and answered every question I could come up with. I then decided I wanted to think about it overnight and Jason said “no pressure. Take as much time as you need.” The very next day, I made the transaction and my beautiful new bed set was delivered within just a few days. I will be needed another bed set soon and I will absolutely be calling Jason at Sleep Outfitters!

The salesman and prices werent bad, the 3 star review is because of how misleading sleep outfitters return policy is. Prior to purchasing a bed I specifically asked if there was a return policy, the salesman answer by saying yes, you have to sleep in it for a minimum of thirty days, after that you have a full year to return it. Right after i signed the receipt on a 4,500 dollar bed purchase i was asked to sign a acknowledgment of their exchange policy. The acknowledgment stated that it was a exchange policy for the same bed or a bed of equal or greater value. That is not at all the same as a return policy, i feel like the salesman intentionally misled me into believing i could return the bed to get the sale, then seconds after signing the receipt i was given the factual information. So, before you buy a bed, not just from here but any sleep outfitters, read and fully understand their exchange policy.
