I brought my disabled son here to get a dependable vehicle,he put $6,000 dollars down and picked out a truck. Which Dutch(the salesman) said would last my son another 100 thousand miles with proper maintenance.. He then sold my son an extra warranty which wasnt worth the paper it was printed on. Two weeks after he bought the truck it started having problems, when my son brought the truck back in to be checked out thats when they told him it needed $5,000 worth of work, and miraculously none of it was covered. (Funny how that works). Nobody from poulins will call us back,its a big game..So Im hiring an Attorney..Im done playing games..

I reviewed Poulin about 3 weeks ago. After a car fire I came here and left with a new Subaru Legacy. The entire team was absolutely fantastic.Unfortunately two weeks later a tree fell on my car in my driveway & the insurance deemed it a total loss.I went back to Poulin today. Jeff, Heath, Norm & Stacy (spelling??) All pulled through for me yet again!I left today with a Subaru crosstrek and couldnt be any happier.I will NEVER go anywhere else to purchase a vehicle after the two beyond awesome experiences I had here!(I just hope the next time I see you guys its for a trade in or additional loan versus some crazy disaster for a 3rd time!) ;)Walking into this place feels anything BUT walking into a big pushy dealership. 🙏Thank you guys SO muchIf I could give more than 5 stars I absolutely would!!

Paid 1700.00 for a warranty that came with the nissian Titian that we purchased. Called to complain they hung up on me, called back wanted to speak to manger got put on hold and hung up on. I will be calling better business bureaus and the attorney generals office. Think they should follow up on there insurance people and keep there word. Can’t use the truck so had to volunteer repo the truck to screw up my credit thanks a lot. Never gonna send anyone there EVER!!!!!!

This has been the worst, longest drawn out customer service experience ever. Theyve had the vehicle longer than a month, it is a week past due and not all of the work is done. They claim to have had these parts for months, so why arent they installed on the vehicle? And dont get me started with the lady who answers the phone. Shes rude, combative and unhelpful. Will never take another vehicle there again and I will certainly never recommend anyone take their vehicle there.

A horrible business with generational fraud. They recently have had administrative action taken against them by the DMV/DOT for committing inspection fraud. An investigation by the Consumer Fraud Division of the States Attorneys Office ensued, wherein, Poulin did not fair well. I know this because I initiated this due to the FRAUDS they committed against me when they sold me a truck. They have been removed and reinstated from Vermont Auto Dealers Association (VADA) and possibly now removed again for their actions. I highly advise not even pulling into their dealership as you will have a thirsty salesman meeting you at your car. I hope this review helps anyone looking for a car, but does not want to be ripped off by Fraudsters.

The guys at poulin were amazing helping me get into a vehicle that I wanted and could afford. I told them about the trouble I was having mother my current vehicles and they set me up with a great warranty. I was struggling to find a vehicle that I could afford and not have to work on constantly, other local dealerships said they could help, but were unable to put a deal together that worked for me after weeks of working with them. Poulin did it in a day and made a deal I would have been crazy not to take. It was definitely a no pressure sale, and they put all their cards on the table to show me what kind of deal I was getting. I will definitely check them out for my next buy.

So a little back story... I am a single mom of two small children. I previously owned a BMW and had my head gasket blow driving down the road. A few days before this my car was serviced and I never had any dash lights come on (as it’s always serviced on time). I always maintained my car. Well I’ve been looking for a car for a long time knowing I wanted another one. I was at a complete loss not knowing where I stood with getting another one. I was looking up cars and put in an inquiry at Poulin’s. Not even a few minutes later Jeff had contacted me. I told him back story, what I was looking for in a vehicle and what I NEEDED. He asked me to travel down to speak with them and put some numbers together. As soon as I got there he had already done some research for me. I had been at a loss with so many other things. When I walked in I felt extremely comfortable. Everyone there was so welcoming and actually CARED! Usually it’s all about making money for people. Jeff was actually very caring about my wants and needs. I was instantly approved and didn’t even need a co-signer. I came back 48 hours later and Jeff had ALSO helped me switch insurance company’s, saving me almost $70! I felt comfortable actually buying from them. They aren’t just about selling cars. It’s about your wants and needs as well. I highly recommend Poulins Auto and this is where I’ll forget my vehicles! I can’t Thank them enough for all they did helping my children and I get the right car for us! Thank You Jeff and your Team for everything you’ve done for us!

Do t go here for inspection, they’ll slap a sticker on a lemon they sell you but when you go in with a perfectly inspectable car like I did they’ll offer to do your brakes so they’ll pass even though they’re already done... I did my brakes and lights before I went in and they barely looked at the rest of the car he went underneath looked at the brakes and said....”the front brakes are starting to delaminate” I just pulled off the wheels and calipers and checked the brakes out again nothing wrong. Pads are 3/4 and rotors do t ha e a scratch on them brought my car to the Subaru dealer they looked at it and said there’s nothing wrong with my brakes. Dont let them sell you jobs you don’t need.

Honestly speaking do not have a pre concieved notion about poulins in barre vt due to any other locations! Heath and Jeff poulin will go to the ends of the earth to get you a good vehicle regardless of your credit.they say what they mean and mean what they say! No bs involved to just get the sale. There are about family and genuinely want to help you. I give them 5 stars plus! Dont waste your time elsewhere they are the people to go see!

I drove all the way down there with my kids after being on the phone with them got my hopes up about trading in my car that I bought from them a couple years ago. I needed a work truck to start my business and I had about 3500 to put down with the Trade. I sat there for hours for them to say your car is only worth 3000 and you need to put a lot more money down what a waste a trip.Two days later they said they had a deal where they double your pay so whatever you put down they double it so I bought a truck through a private owner and they told me to bring that down with my car and I can leave with a newer truck so I got excited again so drove all the way down there for the second time for them to look at me and laugh at my truck And said it’s not worth anything And we can’t do anything about it you’re still got to put a lot of money down!!! Anyways that 3500 that I had to put down on a new truck I had no choice but to buy a used truck from someone after being toyed with with this dealership and then for them to say well bring that truck down we can trade it with your car I had no choice but to buy this truck because of my work I started Monday and I needed a truck this was my last so now I’m stuck with a used truck That I don’t know how long it’s gonna last I absolutely hate this dealership I’ve been used and toyed with twice

Everyone here was so nice and extremely helpful! Dutch understood my fears and both he and Jeff got hugs from me. I was in tears and very emotional when I came back to them. See... I had been here before and only going off of the bad reviews, I didnt give them a chance. The program that Dutch has set up is incredibly helpful and... well... I got my car, a 2012 Subaru Legacy! He was very honest about what I need to do about a recall and that makes him and his team even more credible.I cant thank them enough for all the help and patience they showed. Bought a Subaru and a warranty. Engine burned oil and kept bringing it back. Would not cover the warranty because I didnt have records that changed the oil every 3,000 miles. Even though Subaru says every 5,000 for full synthetic. Lots of wasted visits, accommodated us with rentals knowing that they werent going to fix the car in the end. Lots of running us around and around for months with no resolution. Just a absolute miserable experience. The attitude of the mangers is condescending and greasy. Almost if we bought a car from Matildas father. Read the fine print of that warranty because the cars that come from here are garbage.

We had the best service with the friendliest people. Dutch and Jeff were the greatest. They were very helpful and even kept our payments where we needed them to be.We will go back when we want another truck.

We worked with Dutch and Jeff in October to purchase a Kia Sorento. Overall, it was a great experience, and we wouldnt hesitate to recommend to anyone, and will return in the future to make another purchase. We purchased a service warranty protection plan with the car, and their service department is just as good as their sales department. My car was towed there with a flat tire this week. I had to leave my car overnight, and they got me into another comparable vehicle while mine was being serviced. Very competent, friendly, and great service. Thank you, Dutch, Jeff, Stephanie, and mechanic staff!

This company shouldn’t even receive a star. Bought a ride from these people (if they are humans with any decency), turned out to be a LEMON. VT currently does not have any lemon laws against used vehicles. Please note that this dealership has an open case against them with Vermont State Police and Vermont Department of Motor Vehicles. Poulin Auto impressed and surprised us. We’ve had too many bad experiences at dealerships to ever want to purchase from one again but we found a vehicle online at Poulin’s that was perfect for my wife and with a price that was lower than anywhere else. We took a chance and went in and were treated with honesty and respect by Jeff and Dutch. They made it simple to purchase the car and even set us up with a better and more affordable credit union than we’d had before. We actually had fun with the purchase! Several months later and the car still runs like new. We highly recommend Poulin’s and will be back for our next vehicle.

I honestly wish I didn’t have to rate with one star at all. We have been having the worst experience with the truck that we bought for the last two months. When were there we told Jeff that we could put 3k down, and when we went to do the paperwork he had put down 4K. We didn’t realize until we got home that there was a chip in the windshield and a chunk of paint was off the front of the truck. When we called Jeff to tell him about it he said “you drove it off the lot it’s now your issue”. Two months to buy, and we didn’t receive anything from the bank until I get a call telling me that I needed proof of my employment and proof of what I make. After the contacted my boss, not even three days later we had received our first payment to be due on the 14. Mind you the finalized things with the bank on May 2nd. We called multiple times about the bank information and what our payment would be and Jeff never gave us the information we called about, and said he was either too busy or didn’t want to look into it. It’s been two months and we still have our temporary plates and Jeff keeps telling us that our new plates should be in the mail but we haven’t seen them. We were driving our truck this past weekend and it randomly shut off. I will be going back Saturday and hoping that everything will be taken care of properly.Over ten people have told me about horror stories that has happened with this business and I don’t even know how they are still in business. They are rude, disrespectful, they twist what they say, and don’t follow through with the things that they tell you. Please do not buy from this business ever. As they have put a lot of people in debt and have not sold them reliable safe vehicles.

Horrible!! 5 minutes after driving off the lot the check engine light came on, exhaust filled the cab, barely made it home. well over $3000 in repairs to get it road worthy and inspectable even though it had a brand new sticker. Their response was “not my problem “ RUN, I wish I could give -5 stars

Drove all the way down from Maine snd the salesman that was originally spoken with wasnt even there. Then the truck that was supposed to be purchased wasnt clise to being ready after we were told by the salesman that it was good to go. We wouldve had to wait 5 hours. Upon further inspection of the truck it wasnt what it was supposed to be and it had bald tires. They expected us just to suck it up buy it and then wait there all day for it. So very disappointed after such a long cramped ride down. Thanks a lot Poylin Auto Sales you really know how to suck.

I will only ever buy a car from one person and that is Dan Casavant!!! He sold me my first Honda CRV and I loved that car. He left auto sales for awhile and I just resolved that I would only ever own that 2007 Honda CRV. well I was home sick and got a call that he had a Honda CRV for me to see since I was home sick he brought it to me at my house - that car didn’t work out so they went to the auction and found exactly what I needed just a few years older. Dan and Dutch worked very hard to get me the best price and deal. I spoke to Dutch so much one day from going back and forth with my bank and him we were starting to finish each other sentences. LOL. All I have to say is forget about the past and the “old Poulin” give this team a chance - start with Dan he will get you any car you need or want in a your price range then you will finish with Dutch for the money 😊. I didn’t get a chance to deal with Jeff a whole lot but he was there when I picked my car up and he was great teaching me all the little ins and out of all the gadgets my car has. Awful Experience so far. I drove a 2012 Ford Escape off the lot and from the very beginning it had a coolant leak into the engine which after 4 or so weeks of them trying to figure it out, Heritage Ford determined it needed a new engine.No response from Poulin, needed to file a complaint with the AG to get a response and now they are behaving like it is my fault. Still havent worked it out at this point so I will update this review when I have results.

My fiance and I recently purchased a car from Poulin Auto. The staff were all very polite to us as well as our kids during the process of buying the car. They helped meet our needs and get us into a safer vehicle for us and our kids. The cars been great!

We brought a car for our daughter just under a year now and have had nothing but problems with it we called and told them but there was nothing they could do because it was a Hyundai and when they did they said nothing was wrong and come to find out we had to change the roaters and changes the brakes 3 times already it eats through gas and now it needs new bold joints and other things so we called and told the attorney general and now waiting to hear back from a clams attorney that deals with taking a car dealership to court..

Went on a Saturday to look at a Chevy Malibu for my son. Got there they said they have a Ford Focus (2012) that’s in our price range. Took it for test drive. Car reeked of cigarette smoke, A/C didn’t really work. Brought those to their attention. They were asking I think 8500 but our credit union said it’s worth like 1500 less. We were gonna go with a bank they do business with but they were asking 18% financing. They told us they were going to work with them to lower that. They asked for s copy of our paystub which we sent them. It’s been 4 days since then and we never heard back. It’s ok cos we found a 2018 car with 27,000 miles (the ford had 63,000 miles) at an actual dealership for less money a month. I would never go back to Poulins. They never follow through. Must not want the sale bad enough.

WOW, where do I start !!! The other day we went to poulin Auto to have them check our car. While we were their we noticed a truck we might be Intrested in. So the next day hubby called and chatted with Jeff and Dutch. Well we found ourselves at Poulin Auto again. This time they were putting us in this Beautiful Chevy Silverado 2500 HD. This makes our fourth purchase threw this awsome company. I tell you what, some may have complaints on their purchases but dont run. You need to call and explain whats going on. Jeff and Dutch arent their just to sell, there also there to help you and fix the problem. If they had a scale of 1 to 100 Id rait them a 110. Yep thats right.!!! The customer service is the best, no one could ask for anything more. Dutch and Jeff went beyond the call to make this transaction happen. I tip my hat to all of you fokes at Poulin Auto on your exceptional hard work and being so prompt!!!!! All I can say is. Well Be Back! And thank you for your excellent work.Thank you Don and Judy

While I am VERY appreciative of the hard work that all staff put in to getting me a car, I am very disappointed and somewhat annoyed at the organization and communication skills of said employees. When they want something from you, they will call incessantly to get it, when you need something from them, not so much. I purchased a car in the beginning of May and today (June 22, 2017), I continue to not be able to register it because I dont have the correct paperwork or the sales tax (Im from NY). I was told it would be mailed and I would receive a tracking number. I have sent emails, called and sent text messages to ensure that it had in fact been mailed and I have heard nothing back from them. My interstate license plate has run out and I cannot drive the car legally...this is a huge problem for me. So, again... great staff- personable, determined, hardworking... but, communication skills and organization are a must and its just not there...

They had a nice selection of pre-owned trucks. I immediately found what I was looking for Kevin and the rest of the auto sales team assisted me every step of the way. Once we had the details worked Chris was able to assist me with receiving the right auto financing at a remarkably low interest rate. The whole process was very straight forward everyone involved answered all my questions and provided me with the best options available for making the purchase. I was very pleased with my purchase and would highly recommend Poulin Auto Sales to anyone who may be interested in purchasing a used car or truck based upon that experience.What I am really impressed with though is the service I received after the purchase, because when I had a question about my truck these guys not only took care of my initial concern but they found a couple little things like the power steering fluid was low, a mud flap was lose, and my remote control for the plow was hesitating. They actually called me and asked me if I would mind if they were to fix these things for me at no charge while my vehicle was in the shop. I was pleasantly surprised and obviously the answer was yes they could fix these things. Bought a used car off of them in February, not even 4 hours later the check engine light comes on for clyinder 4 misfire. Now just did a oil change and have metal shaving all over the filter! So lucky I didnt have my kids when the car engine blows I stopped driving it. Have called and told them but they say nothing they can do sold as is. Bs I got a lemon from them!

I was outside their dealership in barre, Vt. A saleman came outside and saw me looking at my car. The saleman name was Jeff. He said why dont you come inside for a minute and try to apply for a loan. I said Ive tried 2 big dealerships already; ( saint j subaru of vt and Capitol city auto Mart). Thanks for the help. Not. You guys will never get me to step a foot in their ever again. They wouldnt help me. My subaru had a lot of negative equity that no dealership wanted to deal with. Also my subaru outback needed head gasgets a 2nd time while still paying on the same car loan for the subaru. Jeff says. Dont worry sam. Here at poulin auto we can get you in a new car! Salesman named Dutch and Jeff got me into a car that is 8 years newer than my subaru! And 150,000 miles less than my subaru. I love my new 2017 Hyundai Elantra Limited!!!! Some of the reviews are unbelievable for the most part I have a Chrysler 200 first used car out of a dealer ( Poulin Auto ) for over a year never had a problem Ms. Beard was very friendly and helpful thank you !!

Poulin Auto Sales screwed me over BIG TIME. They rushed the sale, were way over priced, the fees were insane and when we finally settled on a price, they wouldnt let me see the under carriage of the car and because I needed a car quickly, they got away with it. I drove away with a car that was severely damaged (auto body & 3 bent rims) and not reported to its title or Carfax. OH and when I called to give them a chance to fix the 3 bent rims they sold it to me with (and pumped it to 50PSI to try and hide it) they wouldnt even give me the time of day. Now, Im upside down financially on the car because its not worth much with all of its damage. Ive learned from this and will NEVER buy from them again and will continue to spread the word about their terrible ways.

First experience wasn’t too bad. Worked with Charay. Was NOT given the option to finance through my own bank. They ran way more credit checks then necessary, which HURTS your credit score. They weren’t getting back to us so we went through our bank and another used dealer. That caught their attention and we got a response of “we have a new financier so we could have made it work”. Bull. We came back to try again later on as we decided we needed a van. Worked with Charay AGAIN. This time credit was run for NO reason as they demanded I go through my own bank. They promised to pay off my current loan to take my vehicle as a trade towards a new one. Got our hopes up on a van without confirming guarantee of purchase (which should never be done). Then when my bank looked over my papers, they were trying to offer $6800 towards my car instead of the full $7300. Luckily my bank caught that and questioned. They then agree to pay the full $7300 of my loan to trade my vehicle. Now they decide the van is $14,000 because they think they can sneak the price of my loan in with all their other over priced fees (roll over loan to new rig). Keep in mind this same van newer and in better condition with less miles was maybe $10,000 at other places. Was not ok with that. Why would I trade my vehicle in only to have to keep paying for it on a new loan on a new car. If you are paying off my loan so you can take my car as trade I should not be paying for the vehicle as I no longer own in. $7300 should get knocked off the price of the new vehicle. They refused to negotiate price whereas other places were willing to drop down $1,000 plus. Luckily my bank saved me from this scam. No communication yet again. After 2 weeks of promised calls, I demanded I’d go elsewhere. Save yourself the trouble. It took two days to get into my current vehicle elsewhere. No reason it should take over 2 weeks there. Literally just a bunch of scam artists with vehicles that shouldn’t be on the road because they lie and cover the issues up.

The whole thought of buying a vehicle and having a car payment is overwhelming to me.I contacted Celeste Brasseur to become pre approved before going into look at vehicles, although I knew what I was looking for in a vehicle. Being honest with Celeste about what I was looking for in a vehicle and what I would negotiate on for options was extremely helpful, it also helped Celeste and Dan be better prepared for me when we arrived. Celeste was amazing, considerate and patient with me. When I went to look at my new vehicles, Celeste had a salesman waiting for me and a vehicle all set for me to test drive. Dan Casavant was great! He was very, very patient, considerate, helpful and respectful of myself and my children. He walked me through the vehicle and all its options. Through out the entire process, the staff was amazing with my children. Dan went above and beyond to help me with my children while I was signing all the paperwork, helpful with getting me all set for our drive home. The service department allowed them to watch cartoons, Dan tried to keep them occupied, Celeste found them blocks to build with. I can not stress enough how helpful everyone was with my family. This is the biggest reason why I would highly recommend Poulin Auto of Barre when looking for your next vehicle. By the way, I love my new car!!
