Store is Great, There are a lot of comics, Statues and other items. The Owners are awesome. If they don’t have what you are looking for they might be able to order it for you.

Found this comic shop completely randomly. Must say that Im so happy I did, great back issue selection very organized and clean. As a larger person it was very well spaced out to move around. Found several key issues along with meeting the most friendly staff. Must visit kind of place.

I went here during the Bartow Sci-fi event, its a little hot in there(not sure if the AC is broken) but its a good place overall.

My family stopped in to get some comics. I have 5 children and I often get looks of concern because there are so many. But my children are very well behaved. They are quiet in the store, do not yell or run around or beg. The young girl behind the counter was watching us like a hawk from the moment we walked in. She did not smile and did not offer any help. She did, however, snap at my child for touching the glass on a display case- literally within a millisecond of her touching it- WHILE I was standing right next to her and literally about to correct her myself. When I told her that Im standing right here and I was about to tell her to not touch the glass, she proceeded to argue her case. I assured her that my children were being very well behaved- they were very quiet and respectful the entire time- and then I felt so uncomfortable we ended up leaving without purchasing anything. Weve been to many comic book stores and I understand that there are expensive things in the store. My children have been taught and they are also still learning. Had I, at 38 yrs old, touched the glass, I guarantee should would not have jumped on my case. Children should be treated with respect and kindness too. Especially when theyve done nothing wrong. And when she saw that she had offended me, as a customer, she should have changed her attitude and been a little less condescending.

I have been to many comic book stores over the years but my first visit to Main Street Comics was yesterday and I have to say I am impressed by the setup. Its organized well, easy to walk around and look. The prices are perfect! I am not sure if I just walked in on a sale but Main Streets prices on back issues and Trade Paper Backs are phenomenal.

Amazing place! Please go to this store before going to any other store. Why? Bc it’s maw and paw. That’s why. The owner John Harrison was the best. I could not find an Archie Comic issue. I order it. Instead. This store is about .50- 2.09 cheaper than a franchise store. They usually do not help you out! You pay full price but not here. John told us about events in the area and ways we can start getting comics. This store by far is the best store I been to. No they did not at this time have a place for a table to have card games or magic cards. Nor did I see that he carried them. Sorry. But I am sure he may start to sell them. Put a table in the store to play. He just opened so they may. They did have tees, comics, magnets, gifts, signed Star Wars stuff too. Please stop by! You won’t be disappointed at all. If you need help just ask! Don’t be shy! They also don’t discriminate! So ask for the LGBT comics like Kevin Keller and other comics of that genre. John will order you what ever it is! He told me about the new Archie comics! Jet set me up with issues to start. Ordered me 2 a month for the next 6 months! Best to pay in full! Also sign up for the Main Street comic & memorabilia card. It’s saves you money and gives you benefits! Don’t forget to say “ KJ Archie comic pal” sent yah lol

The staff is really friendly and they have a great selection of comics, funko Pops, and other collectibles. My son was just getting into comics and I loved that they had a $1 box which allowed him to pick several to find ones he really liked.

This is a great shop for the local comic collector and worth the trip for those from Orlando and Tampa areas. They have tons of back issues and all the latest books. Well stocked with toys and other collectables too.The shop is ran by the owner and his family and they couldnt be any nicer. I visit here often and never had any real issues with the place I have recommended to friends who live in bartow and surrounding areas.

Great shop! The owners are very friendly and accommodating and the quality of their products is outstanding. Its also the cheapest place in Polk County to buy Magic The Gathering booster packs (Walmart and Target now charge $4.18 a pack and Mainstreet only charges $3.99 and if you have a subscription you get an extra 10% off of that price). The shop carries a wide variety of products in stock and also will order items for you whenever they can. New comics arrive every Wednesday and if you sign up for a subscription service they will pull your comics for you and have them waiting when you arrive (did I mention a 10% discount off of anything in the store for having a subscription?). With the limited options for this type of media in Polk County its great to find a business that provides the level of personal service that is found at Main Street Comics.

This place is awesome. Always wanted a comic shop in Bartow but sadly there never was one until now. When new comics come out I can just walk a few mins down the road and get it from Main Street Comics and Memorabilia without having to take a long drive to a Lakeland comic store.
