It’s difficult to compose a concise review when there are so many positive and wonderful adjectives to use when describing our experience working with Cathie at West DuPage Cabinets. At our first meeting when asking us what we were looking for in an updated kitchen, we stated value and efficiency; and also a vision because “we aren’t gifted with this type of stuff.” Cathie reassured us that she “wouldn’t let us make any bad decisions” and that she could deliver on our needs pertaining to value and efficient use of our current kitchen layout. She delivered! At the initial showroom meeting the first decision made was to keep our current tile “because there’s nothing wrong with it and I can work the color pattern in with your cabinet and counter color preferences.” Great…there’s at least $6,000 saved, a week of construction and mountains of dust. And from there the process just rolled.Cathie is insightful, thoughtful, respectful, patient and kind. The entire process is collaborative and transparent; hers is a relationship of trust and communication. She brings suggestions but isn’t married to them, listening and adjusting design elements to what we liked and what we were so-so on. The outcome is a kitchen we completely love but never in a million years would have picked out on our own. The craziest part that we still can’t wrap our heads around is our kitchen is the same layout yet we have a ridiculous amount of more space, she totally maximized efficiency of space.Finally, all of her referrals worked very well for us. Most importantly, contractor Derrick Schnabel, who is worth his weight in gold; if you don’t have a preferred contractor, he’s worth the wait! We look forward to working with Cathie and Derrick in the next 2-3 years on a basement bar/kitchen. Thanks again, Cathie, for a wonderful experience.

We started our journey in 2018 when we were introduced to Catherine who was awesome to work with. She was super patient because we didnt pull the trigger until 2020 when Covid pushed us over the edge to update our kitchen. Although between 2018 and summer 2020 we didnt do anything, we still had questions as we went and Catherine always took the time to walk us through the answer. In the end of the day, the product selection, the feel she helped us feel in our kitchen with our design, and the amazing contractor she referred us to for the actual install was amazing. We look forward to redoing our Master Bathroom with her as well.

When Cathy first came to our house she was able to see our vision. Mind you, this was before we knew what we wanted. Throughout the rest of the design, Cathy provided plenty of options as we narrowed down our selection. Through all our indecisiveness Cathy was supportive. She never pushed a designer kitchen and guided us thinking about the functionality that would work for our family and our needs.Cathy connected us with companies to buy counters, a new sink, backsplash. No matter our need, she was able to help.The contractor Derrick was just as amazing. Cathy warned us that most clients say when Derrick finishes the project and leaves, they miss him. She was spot on. Who can say that these days? Derricks work product was top notch and commented on by all that we our new kitchen. We are looking forward to our next project to get him back out by us.This was by far the biggest project we have done in our home and we could not be more thrilled that we had Cathy and Derrick to help guide us and make our dream come true.

Working with Cathy was great! She was very direct and forthcoming with us on the front end, and her delivery and followthrough was spot on! Actually better than spot on, as she was amazing at getting us some materials to allow for some minor field changes and was able to get our counters measured and installed in just a few days. Great service + very fair pricing...would go back in a heartbeat!

Cathie and Jim are miracle workers! If I could give 10 stars I would! My husband and I were looking to redo our kitchen and contacted ten other businesses before we found West DuPage Cabinets and Granite. We first met with Jim in the showroom. He was patient, kind and helpful (everything you need for an indecisive shopper). He offered to come to our house to take a look at our kitchen. A day or so later he came to measure and sat down and discussed options and our budget. I followed up and spoke with Cathie who gave me further insight and suggestions for coordinating colors. The cabinets were ordered shortly thereafter and came in much quicker than other stores were advertising. The cabinets are beautiful, efficient and well made. As an adult its not always fun making big purchases for your home but we are in LOVE with our cabinets and the customer service that we received was phenomenal.

From the Dallas White granite countertops to the mosaic glass backsplash tile and new under mount kitchen sink, we couldnt be more pleased. My wife and I couldnt be more happy with the result of our basement walk up bar project. After visiting a local big box we were floored with the cost of what we thought was a small simple project. We went to West DuPage Cabinets and met with Catherine. She immediately understood what we were looking for and helped us keep it in budget! Cabinets were delivered just over a week later. We would definitely recommend West DuPage for cabinets and granite. We’re still in the final stages of finishing our kitchen (crown molding, appliances and backsplash), but the design and selection process was incredibly easy. The cabinets and granite are beautiful. Delivery of cabinets and installation of granite was prompt. At one point in the process we were realized we were missing a knob. Cathy ordered it and it was on our front porch the next day! Great service and products.

We had a good experience at West DuPage Cabinets. Jim came out to our home to measure and got us up a design and quote fairly quickly. After a few iterations, we found what we wanted and ordered them. Delivery was quick. We would return, but would ask more questions next time prior to moving forward.We had a few issues with the cabinets which they handled to the best of their ability. Here are the issues we had and how they were addressed (if they were):1. The cabinets did not match the existing cabinets in the kitchen. They remedied by providing a can of paint free of charge to paint our existing cabinets.2. The wrong size shelves were delivered. They remedied by getting the right size shelves sent to us the next day.3. The pantry was too big for the room. We had to remedy this by cutting it down.4. The mockup they provided did not show our existing crown molding, so when we went to install the new cabinetry we had to hack it together because we didnt really consider how doing a floor to ceiling pantry would affect this (I wish it wouldve been brought up when reviewing drawings so we couldve opted for something that wouldve allowed us to preserve our existing molding).5. There wasnt a detailed parts breakdown of where everything went. Our installer did his best guess at installing how he thought was proper, but in the end we ended up with a few extra components. Wish they wouldve provided a list since they dont do the installs themselves and the drawings dont go into the finite detail on every cabinet.

She looked at our home’s decorating as a whole to pinpoint our style and make design suggestions accordingly. I did not want a big box store feel so I opted for a specialized design experience which Cathy was able to provide.For my basement I got an awesome LVT product from MSI from their Cyrus collection along with a matte black tile and beveled white subway wall tiles for my bathrooms I could not find anywhere that was also an MSI product.Cathy listened to what I had envisioned but also gave her input to better educate my decision which is all I could of asked for. Will go to her for future projects and would highly recommend to any friends and family of mine.Thanks again Cathy!!!

We recently worked with Cathy and West DuPage Cabinets and could not have been happier. We have been in our home for 15 years wanting to replace the 60+ year old kitchen and kicked around the idea for some time. Price and quality were a big consideration because we wanted good cabinets at a reasonable price. We wanted dovetail construction, solid wood, panel cabinets and soft close hardware. Over the years we had some initial quotes done on products we liked but the cost was extremely high in our opinion. We found all that at a reasonable price with West DuPage Cabinets.Our journey with Cathy started over the Christmas Holiday. I put in a Facebook meeting request thinking someone would get back to me the following week after the new year. She responded to me immediately via messenger. We set up an appointment and she was a riot to talk to. She is very knowledgeable and fun to talk with. After she asked us what we were looking for and preferences she showed us some samples. We picked what we liked and she came out the following week to do some measurements and scheduled a follow up. Once we came back, she had a complete computer rendering and parts list for us to review. At that point we had a detailed quote, not a ballpark that some other places gave us. Knowing what we selected and the actual cost was great and farther than we had gotten before so we were confident in Cathy and started the process.She put us in contact with some contractors and we got quotes from them. Eventually we had a date set and the cabinets arrived. There were tons of boxes and everything we ordered was delivered, complete and undamaged. When our contractor was ready, we scheduled the countertop install with Cathy. Her team installed quickly and without incident.Through the process we decided to add a few extra things like more quarter round and a transition strip. Cathy was always on it and responded immediately. We opted receive materials as needed rather than have a lot of supplies sitting around in our storage all at once. My entire garage was full of cabinet boxes, but since Cathy’s team timed things so perfectly they didn’t have to sit for long. There were never any issues with getting material in time and she was always available when we had questions (which was fairly frequently). It’s important to note everything came to us when requested even during the COVID pandemic when so many things are on backorder. Cathy was so communicative that we always knew what to expect/when accurately.Given the cost, high level of communications and quality of product I would highly recommend West DuPage Cabinets. You will get a higher quality product and FAR better service than you would with one of the Big Box stores. Even other contractors we’ve had in our home have been impressed with the quality of cabinetry. I would rate them 5 out of 5 stars and recommend them to anyone who is looking to do a kitchen, bathroom or any project needing cabinetry or counters. I am confident your experience will be as great as ours was.

Unbelievable service andattention. Cathy really knows what she is talking about when it comes to design and detail. We received kitchen renderings within a day and they turned out beautiful!! Cathie and Chris were the best experience I have ever had with remodeling projects! Cathies design experience took both my master bath remodel and my kitchen remodel from nice, to over the top gorgeous!! My husband, who is as nit picky as they come, was blown away by how nice the bathroom came out. He was thrilled that it didnt look chick like. The things that I was most impressed by is that Chris says how long the project will take . . . and he was right on the money with each project. If they say they are going to start at 8 am, you can pretty much set your watch by them! We finished each project on time and the only things that took us over budget were things that we decided to change mid project, like adding some additional lighting and switches. Everything they quoted us for the original project never changed. They were easy to work with and run their business with military like prescision and not like its a hobby. Any calls or texts were always returned promptly. Thats a refreshing change when some people I contacted for estimates didnt even get back to me for two weeks. They cleaned up very nicely at the end of each day which was also a nice change from previous experiences Ive had with remodeling. I would highly recommend their services to anyone looking to do remodeling. They are really wonderful people with amazing skills!!

Our kitchen is like a dream come true. Everything came out beautifully. The cabinets, granite, butcher block, back splash, and open shelving all came out just as I had hoped. I loved working with Cathie and Chris from West DuPage Cabinets and Granite. Other places wouldnt even come to quote our remodel with our tight budget. Cathie worked hard to stay within our budget and still gave us everything we wanted.The work was done timely and very cleanly. Everyday the worksite was left very clean. I cant thank Cathie enough for always being available for questions. Im a tough customer and she never lost patience with me.After the remodel was complete, Cathie reached out to me to see if there were any issues. Even for the slightest thing, they were quick to come back and re-adjust. Unbelievable customer service.I would highly recommend them to anyone considering a remodel! The tile, cabinets, granite and fixtures are all great quality! We did not order enough tile and she had the additional pieces within one day! I had counters installed by their granite contractor. There were some problems, but Cathy was at my house within minutes to resolve the issue. Great customer service.I am also a sub contractor for some of their jobs. They are great to work for.

I bought my cabinets from a different company on line and they shorted me some base base molding and wanted to charge me extra. Catherine from West Dupage Cabinet and Granite was so helpful. She had an extra piece for the exact Waypoint cabinets and she gave it to us free of charge. Now that is great customer service. I will definitely recommend WDC&G to all my friends and family!!! :-)

I bought some really nice cabinets at West Dupage Cabinets and Granite. Cathy the owner, is the reason I bought form them, from the design stage, to offering suggestions, to pricing and customer service she does it all. We all under estimate how important customer service is to use, and only think about pricing, until we get bad customer service. Well it is hard to know if the company has good or bad customer service when purchasing. I can definitely say Cathys customer service is 2nd to none. We dont know about there customer service until its to late, you payed in full, have a problem and then the sales people act like your bothering them or they just dont help you. Again after purchasing my cabinets I had a small issue with a door and a small piece and I am telling you Cathy was on it like as if I still owed her money..I dont remember having an issue resolved so smooth and effortlessly. That is why Im rwritting this review, because its hard to find this customer service now a days. So if you are looking for hassle free good price cabinets you are not doing enough if you havent talked to Cathy at West Dupage Cabinets and Granite.
