We had an entry door installed by Genesee Lumber, not only was the price very competitive, the finished product was beautiful. The install team was so easy to work with, Curt was so helpful and the doors look like they have always been there. Highly recommend!

Had Bruce take over a long term problem I was having with a different contractor for an Anderson window replacement installation. Bruce did an amazing job at stepping in and resolving all the issues I was having. Kurt came out to do the challenging installation and did a perfect job. He even texted and/or called several times to keep me informed of any schedule changes etc. This company really does an outstanding job with their customer service and quality workmanship.

After purchasing a home in a townhouse community in the ADK, we had the need for windows and doors to be replaced. We had the good fortune of meeting Curt and the Genesee Lumber team working at another home in the community. Seeing their meticulous work and quality of craftsmanship, we knew we wanted to reach out to them for our project. Our meetings and planning was through Curt who could not have been more professional, efficient at responding to our questions and emails, trustworthy and knowledgeable on all of the products and work to be done as well as pleasant. We were so pleased that we added on to our project with the replacement of all wood trim throughout the house and a pine accent wall in one room. The project now complete, we are thrilled - Curt and team more than met our expectations without a doubt! Although our home was over 3 1/2 hours from Batavia, it was not a problem. Curt made sure that he could accomodate our needs well. We have a few future projects in mind and we will be contacting Curt to have him help us to bring those dreams to fruition as well!

A representative came to my house for replacement windows. Said I would have a quote on Fri. April 30. Still have not received.

Very nice peaple to deal with..

Replaced my front entry door and added a storm door. Also had the sub floor repaired before installing new door. Derrick patiently assisted with all my questions and gave me a quote. Curt and Abe came to my house and did the install. They took their time and did a very nice job. They laid down a floor Matt to protect my hardwood floors and cleaned up after themselves when finished. They all, were very knowledgeable and professional. Curt was awesome about explaining everything he was doing and why. Would definitely use Genesee Lumber for future home projects. My experience with Genesee lumber was outstanding. We did a massive kitchen, dining room, and family room renovation. We basically made 4 rooms into one amazing functional open concept living space.....so much major construction, that we moved out for 12 weeks!I went to a few large kitchen places in buffalo for estimates and plans and just felt like another kitchen design number. I went to my hometown Genesee lumber and had a much more personal experience. Derrick E. was helpful, patient and amazing with design concepts. He helped with siding replacement, stone exterior, etc...he returned emails and was prompt and professional! Now for Curt, a true craftsman.....a carpenter with amazing skill, an amazing eye for design, detail and precision work like nothing I have ever seen! His apprentice Abe was awesome and is learning from a true master carpenter. Curt made shelves where there was a angle of the wall, between cabinets. He made everything work. There was no problem Curt could not handle or devise a solution for. Curt covered and protected the new hard wood like it was his own home! Curt caulks like a artist and taught my husband to caulk! Curt suggested the Shiloh line of cabinetry and they are gorgeous. They exceeded my expectations!I never had to oversee anything Curt was doing, because it was always perfection! Curt is the reason why my house looks amazing...I would recommend Genesee Lumber and Curt with more than 5 stars!!!!!!

I sought help from the experienced staff at Genesee Lumber Co. last summer choosing a front entrance door with sidelights and a combination storm/screen porch door.Colin at the front counter was extremely knowledgeable & helpful by offering suggestions and showing me floor sample doors and hardware, and printing copies of door styles to take home to look over at my convenience.Last, but not least, Curt Capper was responsible for estimating, measuring, & installation of my two doors, and custom made a new threshold for my back porch. The custom millwork of the mahogany threshold, and the natural finishing coats are truly a “masterpiece”to behold! Curt also did an excellent job installing new interior casing for the entrance door & matching the stain perfectly to the existing woodwork.If you want confidence in a job well done, give Genesee Lumber a try...you’ll be happy you did.
