This place is quick to take your money and make false promises. Placed an order on Oct. 20 and was told 7-10 days for order to arrive and that we would receive a call on the order. Fast forward to Oct. 27 I didnt receive a call or update on the order so I decided to stop by and check on the status of the order and was told that the 7-10 business days was not up yet and that I have to wait. Today is Nov. 5th which is has been over 12 business days and they still dont have the order in and just told me that they havent received a status update from the manufacturer and told me to wait.... until they came back and told me they received an update from the manufacturer on Oct. 29 a whole week prior!! No call or contact to update me on the late arrival of the order or anything and when asked how long does it take the manufacturer to ship it out they told me they dont know and I have to just wait for it to arrive. With no eta the wait could be 1 days or 1 week or 1 month..... at this point I dont expect them to update me on anything since they havent even attempted to contact me to let me know the order was delayed. The service is terrible and no sense of responsibility or owning up on issues on their end. If you need parts or equipment I recommend looking elsewhere as it doesnt seem like they are eager to help with anything except to take your money and make you wait in the dark.

Thank you K&D and also shout out to Mr Jason that works in parts. My crew members were in a bind with having a flat and trying to complete the route I had assigned to them. I called ahead of time to see if theyd be willing to get the tire fixed for them. I arrived with my crew members with our backup Bad Boy mower, in which I know you dont carry in stock. You guys got our flat tire fixed and my crew back to servicing our customers. I greatly appreciate the efforts on Mr Jason end!! Thank you. Looking forward to purchasing a Big Dog mower soon from yall!!!

Bought a Stihl pressure washer from them sales man was very helpful, went over every detail on how it works. They made sure it had oil and gas and ran before I took it, You wont fine this at Stines or any big box stores.

4.16.2021. If I could put a (0) star I would! I have had it with this place. I have never left a (1) review since doing reviews on Google. This disappointing visit was for 8 air filters for my STIHL saws. They ordered about (2) weeks ago and called yesterday that ALL WERE IN! I asked twice if she was certain they were in and she confirmed. I am outside the store now on their parking lot doing this review. You probably know what I am going to say,...None were in! The parts person had the audacity to ask if I wanted to reorder. I believe two things about this place: They have gotten too big therefore out of touch with their customers and secondly, good help is hard to find these days. Still, no excuse for such unorganized, poorly managed operation. Ok, cooled down a bit, so moving on to either online or another establishment. If you need good service and courteous as well,.. this is not the place. No apologies, no “how can we make this right, NOTHING! That’s all.Glynn Leger-Central, LA

Would give less than ONE STAR ! Very disappointed! I brought my Snapper mower in for maintenance, got it back and the first time I used it, it ran okay. 2nd time, the blade was locked, the pull rope wouldn’t work. Called B& D and it had been a little over a month and they wouldn’t warranty their work. VERY POOR SERVICE!Owner reached out to me - My Snapper repair was probably under the name Rick or Richard Vallet. I would gladly retrack my review if this matter could be resolved. When I was told I would have to pay another service fee and then pay AGAIN for the mower to be checked out and fixed, it did not set well with me. I would be grateful if you are able to resolve the issue.Never heard back from K & D. So I had to spend $100s to buy a new lawn mower and I definitely did not buy from K & D. As long as I knew someone working there, I was taken care of. That person left and I have been treated like - well you know!

There is no better place to purchase lawn equipment. They are professional. I dropped off a Big Dog ZTR for repairs. They said it would be 3 weeks before they got to it. I called each Friday to check on the status. True to their estimate they began to make repairs according to their time frame. It was repaired and ready for pick-up on time. As they were closing at 3 pm and other customers were coming in 5 minutes after closing, they said to let them in. If this is not concern for customers, tell me what is. Best lawn equipment store in Baton Rouge, La.

My story begins on May 14, 2020 when I brought my mower to be serviced or should I say saved by whom I thought were some of the best lawn equipment mechanics in the business. Of course during this time in our lives, things are crazy and chaotic but still you hope for businesses that are attempting to be open are properly staffed to take on the amount of business they choose to take on. The employee who checked me in was extremely nice and professional, but for information I found out later failed to tell me that they were accepting warranty work only during this time. The mowers blade had been severely damaged and I asked him to please have someone call me with an estimate before I decide to have it repaired. At that time he told me, the only thing that would make it not worth my while is if the crankshaft was bent. I told him that sounded good, just to have someone call me with the estimate. Fast forward to yesterday May 22, I called K & D because I havent heard from anyone thus far. After waiting on hold for 20 minutes because someone was going to find out what was going on with my mower repair estimate a nice lady answered in the parts department by which I proceeded to tell her I wasnt looking for parts. However, I did want to find out about my mower and the estimate they were working on to have it repaired. She said, please hold and Ill see what I can find out. After being on hold very briefly this time, she came back to the phone and told me they had all the parts and all the work written down that needed to be done they were just waiting to complete the estimate. She told me someone would be calling me that afternoon or first thing this morning. By 10:41 A.M. this morning I called again because I had not heard from anyone as of yet. When someone answered, I told them what I was looking for, and they told me hang on let me go find out. During my place on hold, I received a business call so I had to hangup to take that call. During my call, they called back and left a message. After I got off of my business call, I checked my messages and someone at K & D had left me a message to tell me, my mower hadnt even been looked at! Do what? The lady yesterday told me all that needed to be done was for them to complete the estimate for the repairs. So I kindly called back, and the lady that I had spoke to yesterday answered and told me she was sorry I received that kind of message that she would go find out what was going on. I proceeded to get a little upset because she had told me yesterday that all was needed was for them to complete the estimate. She even used the term, they just have to add up everything. So I told her I did not appreciate being lied to about what was going on. She said Im sorry I told you that, but thats what someone the owner told me. I told her to not bother checking that I would be there later today to pick my uncompleted repair mower so that I can bring it somewhere else to start this whole process over again. I returned to K & D today around 2:50pm and I called to have someone push my mower out the back door because I didnt want to stand in the line out front, just to pick up my same broken mower that I had left there a week ago. After waiting about 10 minutes someone pushed it out back and offered to help me with it, in which I declined because it was fine. However for the life of me I am appauled that the owner or store manager did not come out to greet me to apologize for the miscommunication, mishaps or down right lack of concern of my repair. As an owner of a business, I would never let a customer walk away without some kind of an apology or resolution. I will never step foot back in this place. Im all about family-owned businesses, but for this family-owned business, Im done!

Great customer service today from Justin and Nick!! The salesman Justin sold my mower to me 7 years ago and it has recently started popping deck belts. Today Justin came outside with me and grabbed Nick to look at what the problem was. The guys helped me figure it out and I was impressed with the service long after the sale!! They are great assets to the store!!

Mr. Ernie, Sarah, Jacob, Johnny, Charles and everyone else are always helpful. The offer outstanding personal service and all their equipment is top notch. And, I cant say enough about their service department. They have gotten me out of a jam many times with a very fast turn around on servicing my mowers and other equipment. Ms, Sarah is a parts guru! She knows everything. So, if you ever need a high quality machine or outstanding service check them out. You wont be disappointed.

I called to ask if they could replace the handle on our old mower. They asked for the brand and I told them we did not buy it there. The person on the phone was super nice and said bring it in, we can probably complete the repair before day’s end. So my husband cleans the mower, loads it up, drives it over there and is then told they will not repair a mower that wasn’t purchased there. Even when we explained that we had called ahead, K and D refused to do this simple repair. Unreasonable and disappointing.

Buyer Beware! Nick takes it upon himself to add parts that you didnt need and charge you for it! There was so much hassle over something that should have been simple. I wish I would have read reviews before going here. Its such a shame how they try to take advantage of people, especially during this crisis. They have lost all of my future business!! So some people seem to be upset due to their experience with k and d and i get it everyone expects alot and no one has any desire to have any understanding for uncontrollable circumstances.... I can say this during these times of covid and even before these wonderful and kind hearted and caring people that run this store have taken everyone into consideration... and of course every where you go and shop has some bad apples among them Good people are HARD TO FIND... these days... but i know this we dedicate fully all of our time to making sure customers feel good and fully informed about any purchase or service matter. And devoting time to each customer can be difficult and some may get upset because they dont want to wait or they are in a hurry. But once they rush and purchase or rush to repair unit and its not right or you didnt make the right choice who will you blame then.... so if everyone can slow down and try to have some patience you will see that this company is run by some of the most devoted and kind hearted and honest people . they arent money hungry like alot of other places and people..but i can say this that the bad apples are known and that if some wonderful apples were available for replacement i think the bad ones would be thrown out... But this is the absolute best crew of hard, dedicated, smart, caring and driven set of people that work here....and for the record Nick would never force anyone to buy something they dont need ... so someone needs to be a little clearer on their issue that they are referring to ...and Mr. moranto unfortunately was involved in a miscommunication and was upset bc our tech was not back at work with stay at home order... but i give k and d a 5+ star and hope that you will to and just come and see us and meet our wonderful and dedicated staff.......Love these people..Genuine and very very knowledgeable about equipment.. thanks and look forward to a long time with yall..

I dont have a problem with the work that is done there but Ive had terrible experience with basic service. I called in mid-December about getting a mower and generator picked up but it took several phone calls and was well into February before they were picked up. Both have been done for a couple of weeks now but still not brought to the house after repeated calls and a visit to K&D. Tried calling just now (twice) and phone rang a couple of times before call was disconnected. Im not sure whats going wrong over there. When I came in personally to the store, I offered to pay what was owed for the repairs right then if they could tell me when theyd bring the equipment. But they couldnt say when it would be delivered and that I could pay when it was delivered. Still havent paid; still waiting.

This buisness has been good to me until I’ve had the same issue with a Stihl edger that doesn’t want to run. It’s been serviced by y’all 2 times for same concern which the stated they adjusted the carb and I got it back then next day had same issue so I returned it and when picked up they stated they put a new carb on it and it worked but was way underpowered for awhile then same issue occurred and returned edger to shop and when they call me to pick it up they want to bill me for a new carb and say that my fuel has water in it and air filter that was changed 2weaks ago is clogged. None of this is true do to the other products I use that require same fuel have been inspected with no contamination and of course they are saying they don’t do those kind of things. Never met a buisness that claims those allegations but I know for fact this is what they’ve done to me and my family.

Management at K and D is slacking to say the very least. They’ve lied to me both in person and over phone for the last 10 weeks. Now my scag mower is still broke because they never got to it. Was told service was one week out when I dropped it off. Piss poor management any way you spin it. Bringing mower and my business else where.

I have purchased several products from K&D. People who work there are friendly and knowledgeable.... But its hard to get service there, they seem to be closed during the times people are working in their yards, and breakdowns happen or parts needed... My new Stihl Trimmer is having issues, and I cant even call into the store to talk to service as they are too busy to answer the phone, or once connected, left on hold and forgotten about...

Please update your listings for store hours. Your phone recording says that you are open on Saturdays till 12 noon. After driving all the way from Zachary, I found this info to be inaccurate. You guys usually have a pretty good selection, but please pick up the ball on communicating correct info for you business. Very disappointed that I wasted fuel hauling equipment all the way to your store only to see that you are closed.

The Truth is this business simply delivers!!! The staff has gone above and beyond for me more than once, So often we hear, well, Thats there job. Got a new STIHL saw right off the wall. It did not come with directions. I was not informed that there needed to be a fuel mix. I used it with their fuel but after a while it did not start. My bad. But when I brought it back to the store to see what was wrong they started it up and held down the trigger at full blast at least three times, it still would not stay on. As a result a piston was destroyed up and my two week old saw $400.00 dollar purchase needs $170.00 in repairs. even though I bought a two year warranty with it. Not happy. When I asked to speak with the owner I was told he was too busy. What to take a 5-10 Minute phone call? Go somewhere else for your equipment. Sheesh.

I have purchased all of my Stihl equipment from K & D but will be going elsewhere because of their Service Department. I dropped a Stihl weed eater off on July 7th and they said 2-3 weeks which seemed a little long but I could handle it.I checked back after 4 weeks and they said they were backed up working on commercial repairs and would get to residential in a week or so. Not the best answer to tell customers that other customers are more important that your repair.Called back at week 5 and it was still going to be another week, so I picked it up on 8/21/18, a full 6 weeks after I dropped it off, without it being repaired and took it to another certified Stihl service center in the area. They greeted me with a smile and said it would be 2-3 days!I doubt Ill be back as a customer for K & D but I would strongly suggest that they review their Service Department to be able to offer better service and quicker turnaround times, at least for your residential customers.

Two months ago, I would have given K&D 5 stars without hesitation. I have purchased numerous pieces of outdoor power equipment from them over the past 10 years and they have performed most of the service on my equipment during that time.The service department is what is really lacking with them now. I dropped off a Stihl hedge trimmer 6 six weeks ago. At the time they said 4-5 weeks turnaround. A bit excessive in my opinion, but I could deal with it. I called them on the 4th week, was told two more weeks (so that is now extending the original time). I called today, the 42nd day they were in possession of my equipment, and it still has not been looked at. I notified them I was picking it up.My wife went to pick up and the service desk was rudely telling her it was not repaired yet. She responded that was why she was taking it. They brought it out in a huff. When the tech from the back realized it was a woman picking up the machine, he stopped before she grabbed it and instructed the guys behind the sales desk to get a paper towel for him. Somehow fresh oil had gotten spilled on the carrying handle.Now I wasnt born yesterday. How does fresh oil wind up on the handle of equipment that has not been serviced yet and has been sitting in storage for 6 weeks? I think the service tech was trying to send a message to me, but thankfully had a change of heart when he saw a woman picking up the equipment.As my wife was leaving, another customer brought in a blower. The service rep told him it would be two months. Another service rep laughingly said, Two? More like three. But youll have it back in time for fall.Whats going on over there at K&D??? Better fix it quick. Youve lost my business. There are other Stihl dealers that are actually closer to my house. I have used you over the years out of loyalty. Not any longer. Get it together before you lose more.
