This is what neighborhood stores used to be like. Everyones friendly and knowledgeable and you can get in and out fast! They even have gallons of hand sanitizer! Its the good stuff too, doesnt dry out your hands.

Max, the garden guy (and owner) is VERY knowledgeable and aside from his amazing expertise, had EVERYTHING I need for my indoor growing experience. Not to mention, VERY fair prices! He even worked with me on the price of the equipment and threw in some extras to help me achieve success. I will NEVER go anywhere else for my growing OR hardware needs!

This store is truly wonderful. They are so helpful and patient when you are trying to figure out how to tackle a project. I have been going to them for over 3 years now and only had friendly helpful and courteous interactions with the staff, who are amazingly knowledgeable in every aspect of home repair and yard work. And, they are very patient with me when Im desperately trying to describe what Im wanting to do but have no idea of the correct terminology!

Derek is beyond helpful and is always the one I ask for for. They all are actually great and I always leave satisfied. Derek is my go to because of how knowledgeable he is and he always has a smile on face!

Vernons meets their customers needs. They stock many items for home repair that you cant find in the big box stores. Located near older neighborhoods they supply hardware for homes of a certain age. This coupled with knowledge and good advice make them a lifesaver. They also offer organic gardening and hydroponic gardening supplys, custom window screens and other custom and repair services.

The staff at Vernons Hardware is always so helpful and courteous. They dont mind taking the time to explain the differences in the products and how that can benefit the customer. They have a really nice selection of items and garden plants as well.

I was referred by a guy at lowes who couldnt find the plumbing parts I needed there. I came here and Derek met me at the counter. He could not find the exact preconfigured adapter I needed to install my water filter T valve to the Cold Water Supply under my kitchen sink (house from the 50s), and instead HE BUILT ME AN ADAPTER! You dont even see that at other hardware stores, much less the big boxes.. I would give more than 5 stars if I could because I had my 2 yr old with me and he was so sweet to her and her curiosity. A stand up guy, and a subject matter expert. These folks have it goin on.

Love, love, love this store. Fun to walk up and down the isles to see what helpful tools and gizmos are out there. Friendly and helpful and able to answer questions that I dont know the answers to. Pricing is great.

Amazing place! In a world where it seems customer service is a thing of the past this place is a diamond in the ruff. Friendly, knowledgeable AND helpful staff. I walked in and was immediately asked if I could be helped. I told the guy what I needed and he took me right to it. Then asked if I needed anything else. He showed me right where the items I needed were and stood by and answered my questions about the products I was purchasing. Will definitely shop here for all my future needs.

This place clearly understands the value of customer appreciation a service. The owner himself (I believe his name is Tom) showed me around his store and was extremely helpful with answering any and every question I had about the products he sells. They have an outstanding selection of hydroponic growing supplies that you wont find anywhere else, and their prices are very competitive. Not only will I be back...Ill be a lifelong customer!

If you want service, go to Vernons. They are quick to help and will special order most anything if they do not have it, but they usually have it. I have been waited on by the owner, his son, and most of the other people that work there, and it is always a pleasure shopping at Vernons.

I have been using Vernons since I bought my house 16 years ago. This is the way a neighborhood hardware store is supposed to be. They are always friendly and super helpful. It doesnt matter if I am there for a major plumbing problem or I just need a couple of bolts to finish a project, I get the same great service every time.They always seem to have the right parts for my older home and the knowledge to show me how to do the job right. I cant imagine how much money they have saved me over these years by not having to hire plumbers and electricians.I trust the staff and like the quick in and quick out so I can get my projects done.I am a customer for life!
