This is the second time I am attempting to write this review. I was quoted a price by Central Plumbing. I had received several quotes theres was the best but only by a couple hundred bucks. I went with them to save of course. When they showed up I was informed that I would need a water heaters pan to bring it up to code. The cost $175.00 There goes the money that I though I was saving by using this company. I was not very happy because I couldve had a water heater installed days earlier by another company if I was going to be paying the same price. Most of the other companies actually included a new water heater pan in the quoted price. The Techs worked good and quickly no complaints about them. I just wished I would have known beforehand because there was no need to wait on Central Plumbing the other company could have done the job sooner.

I called them out to repair a broken pipe where the water service comes into our house. They said they repaired it. 8 months later, it was broken again. I called them out again. It wasnt covered by their 30-day warranty. They fixed it and charged me again. 8 months later, it is broken again. I wont be a fool and call them again. Dont waste your money on them.

I can’t say enough good things about Sunshine Plumbing and Back Flow.After all the other horrible experiences I’ve had with several other large plumbing companies in Baton Rouge, I was sick just dreading having to call another plumber. It seems they can’t do anything but charge outrageous amounts and never really seem to get the work done.Well calling Sunshine was the best call I could’ve possibly made. Cody was the best plumber I could’ve asked for. He knew his job and his appearance was nice and he was courteous and polite. Very good at explaining to me what was going on and what needed to happen to fix the problems. He didn’t just fly through stop and then hold his hand out waiting for money. I think Sunshine and Cody might’ve just took away my absolute fear and horror of having to even think about calling a plumber.

So far not impressed. We called Monday 4/12 when we discovered the leak and turned off the main water line. A tech came out on 4/13 to say there is a leak and if we pay a down payment of half the cost of the repair we will be put on a list to then be called to set up an appointment. Paid the down payment on 4/14 and was called later that day to setup the appointment, which the soonest would be on 4/20. When asked what time, they stated the tech will leave the shop at 8am. Took the day off on 4/20 and waited. Called them around noon, they stated the tech was at an emergency leak and would get there when he was done. Still the tech was a no show so at around 2:30 pm we called an was told the tech was still on the emergency job and that they can set a new appointment for 4/23. This is unacceptable. Why set an appointment if you will not honor it or have the courtesy to call us with a status. Wasted day and will have to take another day off on Friday.

I called them to come out and QUOTE repairs on my house. They informed me it would be $120 trip charge. Fine, right? My husband was there while they worked and wasnt paying attention when he paid because we were also have septic work done and he was talking to that contractor when the plumbers were trying to collect. They charged us $521 to QUOTE us on repairs needed. They didnt fix anything!! My husband and I have called repeatedly for a refund and of course theyre supervisor is out of the office for the week... BE CAREFUL or, just go with someone who will be honest.

Had a water leak in my uncles house. I called to schedule a technician out to check the problem. Informed the girl on the phone I needed a 1 hour notice when they were ready to come out, as I live an hour from the house, which is currently empty. Her reply was the plumber wont wait an hour. I tried to tell her again, I just need an hour heads up to meet the plumber, Im not asking him to wait. I live an hour away. CALL ME 1hour before coming. Again, the same reply, we dont allow our technicians to wait an hour.After 3 attempts to explain, I finally had to tell her Id find a company that cared enough to listen to what I was saying. USE ZACHARY PLUMBING. They were polite, and even apologized for the insensitivity of the girl from Central.

Joshua and Joseph just left my house. They went above and beyond! I will defiantly ask for them the next time I call Central Plumbing. They fixed my tankless hot water system, fixed my leaking sink, repaired a toilet and the refrigerator filter in about an hour. They are plumbing supermen!

Central Plumbing is a great family owned local Plumbing company. They are well versed in the work that they provide and will bend over backward to help you with your repair(s) and will go to bat for you with your insurance company if the problem is something that should be covered by them. In addition, they are fast, friendly, dependable and honest all of which are difficult to find in companies today. I would highly recommend Central Plumbing for all of your plumbing needs.

Once they get your money, they really don’t care. it is very unfortunate to be writing this awful review. In the past, I have had nothing but great experiences with this company, however based on this last month, I will not use them or recommend them again. Not only was a tech dispatched who could not complete the requested work, but then I was overcharged by having to send another employee out. I also have called on 5 different occasions just to get an answer. It has been a month and every single time, I was told a supervisor will call you back. Do you want to know how many times they called me back? Zero. I had to instigate every single call just to get my questions answered about my charges.I will say that the employees out on the job are great at what they do and explain everything so that I understand it. Those guys are awesome! However, the office staff/phone reception dept could really care less as long as you pay your bill.

Mr. Gary and Mr. Jeff were absolutely wonderful with the installation of the new gas water heater. Tuesday Mr. Gary explained everything that would be involved and Wednesday morning he and Mr. Jeff were on time and finished job in little over an hour. He explained how to light the pilot if needed. Also suggested getting a turbine in roof to help with circulation in attic. Will use them again in the future. Thanks again so much Mr. Gary and Mr. Jeff.

I met Central Plumbing back in 2010 after my father died and our family had to have some plumbing work done before we could sell his house. Ive been using Central ever since that day in 2010 for all my plumbing needs residential and multi family. They have done many projects large and small for me and my company. Their process from start to finish is amazing. The office starts off with a friendly hello and dispatches the techs to the site. The office then calls to let me know when they are 30 minutes away, and the tech calls me when he arrives. They leave the work site clean and neat. I have never had a return call on the same job with the same problem. All of the techs are trustworthy and reliable. I refer them to any one who ask. I highly recommend this company.

Had to give one star because there isn’t an option for zero stars. Agree with the previous post... if you have money to throw away, call them! However, BUYER BEWARE! You should know that the call out fee to tell you how much it will cost to do the repair is not deducted from the repair cost, it is in addition to! (Of course they won’t tell you that).I’d save myself some grief and call B&D Plumbing. I’ve used them before, but unfortunately we’re not on my home warranty list for the repair I needed. Next time I will just bypass the home warranty and deal with a professional, straight up company from the beginning. So sad the business office is a disaster because the plumber was nice and did a good job.NOTE: REPLY BY CENTRAL PLUMBING IS BULL****. THEY HAVE NOT DONE A THING TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE.THEY OWE ME A REFUND OF THE CALL OUT FEE. WHY WOULD THEY SAY EVERYTHING HAS BEEN RESOLVED WHEN ALL THEY NEED TO DO IS ISSUE A REFUND FOR THE CHARGE THEY SAY THEY DON’T CHARGE (BUT DO). Call them if you want to throw money away. $460 and all I got for it was a capped off hot water heater. They wanted to charge about $2,500 to replace the small hot water heater. Of course, that was on top of the call out charge and the additional hour for $225 to cap off the old leaking one. I hired a different plumber to do the job for about half of their quote. Just wish I had found him sooner.

I will never do buisness with this company again I called and scheduled an appointment for 8:am. When the crew didnt show I called the company back and was told the crew had truck trouble. A short time later a gentleman called and said they were on the way that they got held up on another job. When the crew arrived, around 9:30 I explained the problem a small leak under a bathtub. I was told the rate would be $125/hour. One of the crew worked diligently even went above and beyond to locate a second leak. The other crew person did very little other than talk and retrieve an occasional tool from theyre truck. When it was all said and done around 1:00pm I was handed a bill for $985 and the rate was actually $225/hour. Plus supplies there was no itemized receipt given. I paid the bill and immediately called the office. I spoke the the service supervisor and was told that he would look into it and call me back. That was 5 days ago and have still not heard from them.

I have used Central Plumbing at two different homes over the years. They have always been great- prompt service and have actually saved me money by figuring out the best most economical way to take care of problems and checking for warranties that I did not even know I had. If there was a negative star I would I given that. So, thier technicians come out to check the water heater and replace the gas connection to the heater, for this the charge is 270 dollars. Never hire these guys, biggest thugs in LA.

I purchased an outside tank-less water heater through Central Plumbing and the nightmare began when they showed up to install it.My complaints with Central Plumbing.1. Central Plumbing did not show up the day they said.2. When Central Plumbing arrived at my home the first thing the installer asked me was, Did I purchase the heater direct through Central Plumbing or go through Home Depot. I said Central Plumbing then he said good because Home Depot is more strict on their installation. That should have been my hint.3. The power cord which supplied the heater was nothing more than an extension cord very poorly installed.4. During the installation process they were in my attic and one guy stepped through my ceiling. Later Central Plumbing acted like they did ME a favor by getting a guy to show up at my home to repair my ceiling two days later, and this guy did not even have all of his tools but I had to loan him my tools to complete the work.5.They did not take time to insulate the water lines well so I ask for some of their tape and did the job myself.6.When it came time to install the remote control the installer told me that the only reason the remote control was there was for them to service the unit so there was no real reason to install it. But the next day we decided to turn our temperature up on the heater and I called the manufacture help center and they told me yes you need the remote installed. When I called Central Plumbing again they wanted to charge me to come back and install the remote.6. Since then I spoke with a guy that once worked for Central Plumbing and he agreed Central Plumbing is only interested in your money NOT and Happy Customer.I DO NOT recommend Central Plumbing for any plumbing work. I also feel that Central Plumbing management has a very serious problem and their workers are following them.

I called these people to come give me an estimate for an insurance claim. I was quoted $120.00 just for them to show up. When the plumber got here, he walked into the area of damage and wrote up a charge for $150.00 without even taking a tool out of his truck. He was supposed to arrive at 8 am, he didnt show up until 8:30. He and his accomplice looked around and determined what the problem was and and when he took my credit card he had charged me $300.00 and had only been here LESS than an hour! They left my home BEFORE 9:30. That is an hour yet I had been charged for two hours work, even though no work had been done at this point. AND this was all for an ESTIMATE of repairs for the damage. No actual work had been done!!If you have money to throw away, go ahead and call these people..The sad part is Im out 300 bucks and my problem is still here!!!

Do NOT use Central Plumbing! The plumber they sent to my house had no idea what he was doing, used my tools, and charged me for not doing the work!They came out yesterday to change the faucets on my bathroom sink and tub/shower. Took 5&1/2 hours to tell me they had to order parts for the shower & were unable to get the sink faucet disconnected. So I started the day with a working shower & sink that I wanted the fixtures changed & ended the day with a working shower & a sink that is 1/2 disconnected & does not work. This fabulous lack of service cost me $448. I had no idea i was being charged by the hour vs the open book rate they offer - that wasnt disclosed. So now I can pay them more money to fix my sink or hire someone else (guess which one Im gonna do?!)Something that should have cost ... $200 - $300... in total!

If I could give them a zero I would. We needed to buy a new water and purchased it through Home Depot in Lafayette. We live in a town near Lafayette. Home Depot said they have the service to set you up with a plumber. Fine. No problem. They said they didn’t know the fees and Central Plumbing would contact us. Fine. We also need to replace the kitchen faucet so we we bought a faucet and were told to mention that when they called. Well, they called and oh my this is what happened. When I mentioned the faucet the lady said they would have to do a diagnostic estimate when they got there. Almost $200.00. She also told me there was a travel fee. Almost $300.00. We are already up to almost $500.00. I asked the lady why we needed a diagnosis because it is just a faucet that needs to be replaced. She said that is what they do. Then she said I would receive an email for the site unseen estimate for the water heater replacement, but it could be more. No thank you. We hired our own plumber. They are coming tomorrow.

L left 3 messages and was told my ticket was on supervisor desk. Been 7 days and still no return call about coming out to service hot water heater or even a sorry we no longer service whirlpool etc as lts not even a good 2 in a half yrs old yet but supposedly still under warranty and whirlpool referred service tech is Central Plumbing. Was forced to buy new/different brand as dealing with this was just a horrible experience be it lack of communication with customer of service from both companies

I have worked with Zack at Central on a couple of occasions over the past few months. It is very apparent to me that Zack cares about his clients and their well being. I have seen him really go to some great lengths to make sure that his customers were treated fairly by their insurance carriers for repairs that required reroute work. This process involves breaking concrete and can be messy for the customer. I have been impressed with Zacks commitment to make sure these projects are handled in a manner that leaves his client better off then when the project began. Great job Zack, and Central Plumbing. BEWARE OF THE COMPANY!!!!I recently had a plumbing problem with my staff toilet. When I flushed it, it made a horrible,pipe rattling noise, so I called Central Plumbing. They sent out a technician who obviously DID NOT know what he was doing, since he was a sewer specialist!! This plumber moved vacuums and small hoses around and said he fixed it and charged me $135. As soon as he left, the toilet was flushed and the noise remained. I immediately called the company and was told that they would send out another plumber to fix the problem. The next morning the SAME plumber returned and gave me some story that his boss said it was the angle valves that needed replaced .... sounded again like he had no idea what he was talking about. I asked for another plumber to be sent out. That afternoon another plumber walked into my office, flushed the toilet, and said it was the wall valve and wanted to shut off the water then and fix it. I said that I would need to schedule this when the office was closed and he left. He was in my office the most of 10 minutes!!!!!I understood that the $135 was credited to my account but when I called to inquire about this and schedule the work, I was informed that there was not any credit and the charge was an additional $210. I have asked to speak with the owner of the company but was given to the receptionist who continually told me that this was a service charge for both the visits and she was sorry I was not happy but there would be no credit to my account and if I wanted to have this fixed it would be a charge.Needless to say, I got no where with the receptionist, never heard from any upper level management, much less the owner of the business. My $135 was wasted on 2 plumbers that did not fix anything and I am still having the problem. I will NEVER use Central Plumbing again and advise anyone needing a plumber to go elsewhere.

I suspected I had a slab leak, so I called Central Plumbing. They sent someone out to assess what was going on for free and gave me a quote. When the techs came out to fix the problem, they found it wasnt as bad as was assessed so I didnt have to pay as much. They also found a problem with the AC drain line and got that fixed. We have an older water heater, so Ill probably have them replace it too when the time comes. Definitely recommend.

This is the worst plumbing company ever!!They hired low standard license plumber who didnt even knows what they doing. I need a gas test done for my house and pull the permit. I paid 285.00 while he there he say one of the valve needed work on ; I paid another 185.00. Two days later I got the phone call it didnt pass the permit cause there are some leaks . He called me out to meet with him and say Im sorry I cannot find where the leak at. You did not pass your permit. You owe me another 185.00 just come out today . So I stuck here with no permit and got rip off 655.00 with no work from them. No wonder they rated 2.3 I should have look at the rating first.

By far and away the WORST plumbing company Ive ever dealt with. Inept, extremely poor work, communication between the office and the plumbers is apparently non-existent, they did a lot more damage than they did good. Wouldnt trust them to install a p-trap correctly.

By far a horrible experience. You really should look around if you are going with Central Plumbing. The first guy didnt finish the job. He was suppose to remove a sink that Louisiana Shelter at Home put in after the flood. He charged me $120 to remove this. Then he charged me $230 to remove and install a toilet. The flange was broken so I was charged $115. The toilet was not put in because the hose had to be moved 6 inches to the left. So they send another guy. The issue with this guy is that he tells me he need to cut a hole in the wall to move the pipe. So you would think that cutting a hole would not be a cost. Well, they charge for everything. They charged me $53 to cut a hole and I have to pay someone to fix that hole. Then he charges me $59 for a valve and another $59 for another valve. Then he charges me $15 for miscellaneous parts and then he charges me $165 for his time.Called the company. Filed a complaint. Still waiting on the owner of the company to call.I hope that if you are reading this, you are very careful with this company. You really need to know what you are getting yourself into. These people will charge for everything. Even cutting a hole. I should have asked for a quote but I was in a dire situation. They only have 1 estimator. Wow, this company only has 1 estimator and I was told he is gone for the week.So shop around.

Disappointing. Quote was high price. Customer service very poor. Fax back and forth 3 times due to their inaccuracy, setting me back 2 weeks behind schedule. Wouldnt answer phone after multiple attempts throughout the day. Had to find someone else before actually having work done. 2 star instead of 1, after faxing notice of cancellation a lady called to apologize for their misunderstanding.

My Mother was having issues with her water heater pilot going out and having to go into the attic to re-lite the pilot. She called central they came out told Her that a new water heat was needed the new one they installed did the same thing central told Her it was the heat from the attic causing this and it was not getting enough air to the pilot lite. So they came back out ran some for ventilation to fix the problem. She has been calling them telling central the problem still exist to no avail since 2015 it is presently 2018 and since running the vent No -One from the company has returned or called Her to fix the problem and play it off as if She has not called them when She has done so repeatedly. Further more the igniter switch has wore out and has to be replaced due to this constant on going problem so central wants to charge Her $150.00 an Hour to replace it Rheem has already mailed the part 3 weeks ago and central again says I wish You would have called when she had. Dont waste Your money with central they dont seemed to fix a problem just cost You more and Dont solve the problem or follow up if the problem continues.

I woke up the other morning and smelled gas in the hallway of my home. It turned out that my gas stove cooktop was installed incorrectly. I called Central Plumbing and it turns out that if I had called the gas company they would have pulled my meter and I would have been without gas for a week or more (dealing with permitting etc).It turns out that when the cooktop was installed (by the people who renovated the home before they sold it to me) they just jammed the stove back into the opening it came out of and that caused a kink in the gas link that went to the cooktop. To make matters worse the home was renovated by someone who left a live wire exposed under the stove. When the plumbers were installing a new gas line and elbow (to allow the stove to be put into place without kinking the link) the live wire sparked and shocked the man.I was really lucky that that line never sparked and ignited the gas that was building up. The plumber found the problem and kept the gas off while I had an electrician fix the electrical line. Then they came back to the house and finished the job.The plumbers were professional and courteous.

Bad Experience. These guys changed the price once on site and did not notify me before performing the work, then forced my girlfriend, who had let them in the house while I was at work, into signing an invoice. I tried to call weekly for a month to talk to them, and they never once returned my calls. Oh, and the gas line to my drier still leaks.
