STAY AWAY!!! Repeat….GO ANYWHERE BUT HERE!!! Total crooked owner! I personally dealt with the owner FYI. Went to Rad cycles to get my bike serviced. It wasn’t running strong and I personally didn’t want to look into fixing it myself.Rad charged me $800 to basically do absolutely nothing to the bike.Let me explain…I brought in a new throttle body assembly and sensors ($1200) because that what they said it needed. After I brought them in, They said they used them but that they were bad and with the two sets could only make one functional set. So I took their word. Then they explained how for some reason they didn’t know, while my bike was hooked up to their fuel pump it ran fine, just not on mine, but that it was good and safe to drive. I didnt understand at the time. I paid and started to drive the bike home. Less than 2 miles away it starting sputtering and killed while I was in traffic on interstate!Got home and pulled off the fuel pump myself…😂😂it was clogged with clay. I ordered a new screen for filter $10.00 on Amazon free shipping 2 days later my bike was back to new.
Rad got my bike rolling again and was great.Awesome customer service, honest man and a great place to shop!
Very very professional down-to-earth honest and most of the employees have been there for decades recommended them at the utmost care
Super friendly and extremely helpful getting my tiny ZTR tire fixed (third place I tried to get help at). I would give them my business again in a heartbeat.
Been dealing with mr rad very good people always been pleasant & fixed my bikes to a T -nick
I’ve gone to Rad Cycles a few times in the last few years. This most recent time I visited their store, I bought a nice battery for my dirt bike(cost over 100$). Well less than 5 months later, this battery won’t hold a charge. Really disappointing since it was such an expensive battery. I remember the last time i visited this place was when I was trying to figure out why my dirt bike engine was locked. I brought it to them asking if they could check it out. The next day I get a call confirming that the engine was locked and had to pay the 150$ service fee for them to do absolutely nothing. I want to clarify that going into this appointment, they were made aware that the engine was locked. They then told me if I wanted to figure out what was wrong with my bike, i could pay them 500 to start taking it apart, or it would cost them Over 5,000$ to rebuild my engine(that I had literally just bought). Then I brought it to a buddy of mine’s dad who is a mechanic. He fixed the timing belt and a few other things that were wrong with the bike which is why the engine was locked. He figured out, without the amount of tools and resources rad cycles has, what the problem was and fixed it while rad, probably didn’t even take a look at the bike then charged me to bring it to them. Will never be back there. They only they want is your money. ANY other motorcycle shop in Louisiana would be better.
They messed up my tires inner tube and wanted me to pay them to fix it. I had a flat after running over a nail and limped my bike to their shop as it was the closest to my house. They charged me over 160 to change my inner tube.I was able to ride around for about 30 miles and my tire started leaking again. I called them and they said they would charge me another 160 to change out the tube. So u took my tire off and went to Cyclegear. They took my tire in back and almost immediately they came back with a fixed tire. They said whoever last installed the tube put it in with a twist and that was where the tube was leaking. They fixed it for 60 bucks.Ill never go the Rad Cycles again. They are incompetent, slow, and price gougers. Avoid them like the plague.
Good people good service
Wonderful family business, great service, respectable, decent prices.
Great staff, super friendly, reasonable prices, my bike is running 💯 times better than it did before. A1 in my book. Shout out to the owner Robert. Great guy.
This place is great. I can tell they love and love motorcycles. I bought my V star here and am glad I did. They are very helpful when I have issues and always gladly answer questions I have as I am new to motorcycles. I highly recommend this place.
Rads is a great place with skilled mechanics and knowledgable staff. They are friendly and fair priced
Went here today to get my 2018 hayabusa lifted and left feeling very satisfied. Not only did they lift my bike but they also extended the kickstand to go along with the new height. They also figure out an issue I was having with a popping noise that I thought was coming from the bottom of the bike. This shop is 9 miles away from me and still this is the place I would like to continue to go to when it comes to all my motorcycle repairs and service. Excellent staff and knowledgeable and if they don’t have a part best believe they will look for it and order it for you and give you recommendations.
Was charged 175 dollars and they did nothing to my bike. in fact my bike is worse than when i sent it there. they will lie about what they do or have done. they are not a good bike shop. i would go somewhere else. Like he said he diagnosed my bike for 175 dollars it only cost 125 to diagnose and 25 to adjust the chain. But my issue is really the trust issue. If I can’t trust you to tell me the truth about a bolt that holds my seats together how am I suppose to trust you to work on my bike. Again go here if you want to be lied to and have your hard earned money taken from you
Rad is a Baton Rouge, LSU cyclist corner stone only for eons I was just there the day after the lost of the real EASY RIDER, looking for some new and used big bike cruiser parts and glance the advocate with a article about the passing of Henry Fondas son Easy Rider Peter Fonda.
Great place. Rad is one if the nicest and most straightforward guys you will meet in the service industry. He has a vast knowledge in most anything with 2 or 4 wheels. If its old hes the only one to talk to.
Pretty good Cycle Shop. Much friendlier than I had anticipated. I look forward to going in again. One Love
I bought two motorcycles from these guys when I was going LSU, and I had a pretty good experience both times. I was a poor college student, and these guys provided me with inexpensive transportation not only once but two times. I got all my gear here as well, and it still is good even after almost ten years.
My experience was great. Owner is honest and easy to talk to. Labor is a bit high, but its because they pay their mechanics salary instead of commission so they dont screw you over. Definitely bring your business here.
Very knowledgeable. Been in business very long time. Not a dealership, focuses on used bikes and accessories.
Not a lot of parts in stock. Little expensive
Excellent service. Corrected a cooling problem. Fuel pump was replaced, and the carburetors tuneup. A satisfied customer.
Just brought it in for oil change and checkup, knowledgeable from what I saw and good price. I was sketchy upon review but I didnt require too much work. I suggest being very observant and questionable to avoid a bad experience.👍🏼
Great selection of pre owned bikes, friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Very friendly and helpful!
Fast and Flawless, I wound up getting a flat tire and needed a new tube. I showed up right before they opened and about 40min later the motorcycle was done. I would normally change this stuff myself but having no tools in Baton Rouge (live here for school) I was forced to bring it to a shop. Needless to say the process couldnt have gone much smoother than it did.
LOCATED NOT FAR FROM THE L. S. U. CAMPUS, AND DOWNTOWN BATON ROUGE. THEY HAVE ALL YOUR MOTOR BIKING NEEDS.
Always give great service an comes thru with the parts.... thanks guys
Only shop in the state that had the parts in stock for my older model YZ. Occurred on more than one occasion. Highly recommend.
Took my bike to them to repair, notified that the bike ran fine then stopped running. Being I had a minor wreck 2 months prior to it stopping running. I told them to please check the computer and I did not know how. Well after 5 months go by they give me a 1600 dollar bill for changing the computer. I will never recommend rad cycles. Poor service, a hustler, and unknowledgable mechanics, but trust me you will pay for their hours of work. They did not even help to stabilize bike in back of truck.NEVER AGAIN AND DO NOT TAKE YOUR BIKE THERE TO BE WORKED ON THWY WILL GET YOU FOR EVERY PENNY!
Excellent selection of parts used and new !!! Very friendly and knowledgeable techs !!!
Helpful plenty items .someone willing to tell you what they know.
The service i got was excelent they really went out of their way to help me
I recommend you go there motorcycle parts sales and service

Friendly. Great in stock variety of tires. Knowledgeable. Quick service.
Ive bought motorcycles from Rad and have had my bikes serviced in the shop. They have always been very fair and honest with me.
Owner is extremely eager to help with sales or parts. Very friendly people
Great place. Good service at a fair price.
Great family business!! Great customer service 👍
Love this place! Has the look & smell of serious motorsport joint! VERY nice & Very knowledgeable!!
This place is a rip off I highly recommended to go somewhere else. I brought my 2012 Honda rancher trx420 EFI in to have it repaired because it was not starting. I was told that it was $125 to diagnosis and it goes toward the cost of repair if its repaired at RAD. After diagnosis I was told that the total to repair it would be $700 to replace the fuel pump and to replace the ignition. I said that was fine to go ahead and repair it. At this time I did not know how much the parts cost. The cost of the fuel pump was $139. The cost of the ignition was $39. the total cost for labor was $450 @ $125 and hour. The cost of the labor for the fuel pump was $275 that equals to 2.2 hours of labor. The ignition cost was $175 for labor hours that equal 1.4 hours. I was told after talking to the owner that they took three hours to find out what was wrong so I was charged the more than the $125 diagnostic fee to find out why it wouldnt start. If you are familiar with these bike it does not take 2 hours to take the fuel pump assembly off. it only takes about 15min at most. there are 3 hoses with clamps and one that clips on to the pump, one bolt on a bracket and a rubber bumper that holds it on. I done this myself to change my fuel filters. Im sure that an experienced atv mechanic know if its not starting the first things you look at are fuel and FIre. So why it took so long to diagnose is beyond me. As for the ignition switch it just pops out and unplugs so thers no way that took an hour and a half of labor. So why was I charged $450 FOR LABOR I DONT KNOW. BUT I TEL YOU NEVER GO BACK THERE AGAIN.
They did a very good job on every bike my daughter daddy gets
It was terrible they charged me almost $950 to replace a starter and the starter was $275. It took 3 days for them to diagnose the problem after we were told it would take one day. It took 2 weeks to get it replaced bc they got aggravated with it so they stopped working on it and didnt tell me anything until I called and asked about it and tried to lie about what I said to them and they said they would have it done in a couple of days bc it was my only vehicle at the time. In the end I told them to jump start the solenoid and let me know if that was all that was wrong with it and if it was just the solenoid to go ahead and replace it. They called me that afternoon telling me it jumped off and had it back together. After this they argued with me about them replacing the solenoid and I ended up replacing it myself which took me 15 minutes. This bike was estimated to be $275 for starter and $275 for labor (which takes an hour if you go a slow as possible) and $25 for the starter cable to be replaced (which wasnt replaced but had a new lead put on it for $5, something that cost pennies) As time went by we called on the bike and we were told it would cost $700 for pick up ($100 more than before) then we called back again. Now they said $899 for pick up. Then the talk about the solenoid happened and we were told $998 if they put it in. Then he said with a cash discount and me putting it in it came out to $943. Every time I mentioned this place to person of the motorcycle community they said they could have told me not to go there and I now see why.
Great service. Kinda pricey but you get what you pay for and they are one of the few shops that work on old motorcycles.
Super friendly and helpful. They had everything I needed in stock.
I took my bike in the have the clutch replaced. The price came out to 945 dollars for parts labor and a oil change. After my bike was done I went to pick it up only to find out that they dropped my bike and cracked my upper head light bracket. I brought it to the owners attention. His excuse was that I must have done it before they got my bike. Then said hell order da part for me which I would have to pay for parts and labor again. They are a complete rip off and over charge. They not bring your bike here for they will rip you off
Great service, friendly people!
Got my bike from there great service
Great bike shop friendly staff
Really Rad
Great honest family owned bike sho0
First of all, let me say that I dont often write negative reviews even when they are applicable, but in this case I must make an exception. (I am a PhD student studying at LSU and had never before brought my motorcycle to Rad Cycles.)My experience with Rad Cycles began after an a friend of mine recommended the shop claiming that they did quality repair work. After my motorcycle stopped starting unexpectedly, I brought it to Rad Cycles to be evaluated. Several days later without hearing back from them, I called to check on the status of my bike. I spoke with the owner, Robert, who in this first instance was very helpful. He mentioned that the problem was a short in the wiring harness and that the wire containing the short needed to be found and replaced. After inquiring about the total cost, Robert told me that it would cost roughly 200 dollars to fix. Needing the motorcycle for daily transportation and unable to get a second opinion, I gave Robert the go-a-head to complete the work necessary to get the bike running again.Several days later, I retuned to Rad Cycles to pick up my motorcycle expecting the problem to be solved. I paid in full and was told the the problem had be fixed. They (two disgruntled repair technicians) pulled the motorcycle around to the front of the shop, handed me the key, and walked away - all without saying a word. Although I was expecting a full explanation as to what was actually done to the bike, I conceded believing that the work had been done and the bike had been restored to full working-order.So, I hopped on the bike and started to drive home. About several minutes into the ride, I pulled up to a traffic light. As I came to a complete stop, the motorcycle stalled. Thinking this was just a fluke, I attempted to re-start the bike. Following the instructions I learned from the motorcycle safety course I had taken, I flipped the engine cut-off switch to the off position. As I did this, I noticed that the switch was completely disconnected. So, feeling like the technicians had forgotten to re-connect the cut-off switch, I brought the bike back to Rad Cycles.I approached Robert once again and mentioned that the engine cut-off had been disconnected. He replied by saying, I debated whether or not I should tell you when you picked up your bike. He continued by explaining the the engine-cut off was the problem and that he had his technicians simply over-ride the switch. This was never mentioned to me previously and was done without my approval. He said that he didnt want to write in on the ticket or mention it to me because disconnecting this engine cut-off switch is technically illegal and he could get in trouble from the DOTD for doing this. I told him that I didnt ask him to do this nor did he ask me if I wanted this done to the bike. After asking him to rectify the problem, he told me that I would have to pay another 200 dollars in parts and labor to fix it. I told him that I had already paid him to fix the problem, but instead was given a service that I 1.) didnt know about and 2.) didnt approve them to perform. Also, during the repair process the bike was clearly dropped resulting in large scraps on the side of the bike. They also striped the screws holding the battery in place and replaced the air filter with a piece of foam of a completely different size.I was forced to leave the shop without having the problem fixed and did not receive a refund. I have since contacted the Department of Transportation here in Louisiana and have reported my experience to the Better Business Bureau. If you are considering using Rad Cycles, I urge you to reconsider.
Great customer service an awesome prices
I have been using Rad Cycles for years. They have anything you need for your motorcycle or off road bike needs.
Rad’s pretty expensive but if your a loyal customer he’ll give you some kind of deal.
Pricing is ridiculous. Charges for work not even done. Just a rip off. Anybody in baton rouge who rides knows that rad is the loan shark of the bike world he preys upon people desprate to get back on their bike
