Wish cards in the case had pricing on them, kind of annoying going back and forth when youre interested in a lot of different cards.The store is really clean and nice. Great customer service! My son pulled a shiny Charizard VMAX and wanted to get it graded. They made the process super easy and saved us money from what I was quoted direct from a grading company. Weve never had a card graded before, so they walked us through the process, explaining everything and answering all our questions.

One of the best gaming stores in the entire state.A reason for gamers, collectors, and comic enthusiasts to visit Battle Creek, all on its own.They have always had excellent prices, based on current markets; selling at bargain rates from time to time.Even with the overhead; their buy rates compete with any individual reseller you might meet on the interwebs.I would trust these folks with items of which the market value was unknown to me when buying or selling.Beyond the exemplary services they provide;This store and its staff were respectful towards the community throughout the pandemic.This was not an easy task to achieve, as the mandates which made this business model challenging to operate, seemed to lead many similar businesses to actively ignore the damage done to their communities.I will forever appreciate the events they ran prior to the pandemic, and look forward to continuing to support them in the future.

I stopped in today looking for information on d&d. Having never played before I had no idea what I was looking for. I asked the people working for help and they were so supportive. One guy even stayed after his shift to help me figure out what would be the best option. They recommended a free app to help me learn about it. All in all, a wonderful experience with extremely helpful staff.

I cant say Ive looked into the comics side of things myself as Im not as into that side of things.Friendly, honest, and helpful staff have always made my visits pleasent. The staff was super friendly and greeted me as I entered immediately asking if they could be of assistance on finding anything. They engaged in very informative conversation about the DnD products and took extra effort to go through inventory to find what I was looking for. And even offered to order something they didnt have in stock. As far as my DnD needs go, they have me covered everytime

I came into perfect storm comics for the first time and they were very welcoming. I will definitely be coming back for magic the gathering cards and any other gaming needs.

Have scalper prices on CURRENT pokemon releases. I understand out of print products at higher prices, but not current prints. They claim that theyre paying higher prices, but in fact arent. They recieve directly from a pokemon distributor out of Chicago. Use to due business with them but have since stopped and would warn others that they do not pay higher prices as they claim! That they are in fact up charging for these products. When I say up charging I mean at almost triple what they pay. They have a business license and under pay all day for there products. You can in fact find these at your local meijer or Walmart for atleat 1/2 price. They are just looking for you too pay there bills and take advantage of people who know no better. Please avoid doing business with them in terms of pokemon to stop scalping.

Been here twice and i must say it’s a great, clean and friendly store. Spent a good minute talking with staff about their d&d games as I checked out (I’m new to it and they were so friendly). It would be really cool if there were more building supplies for creating sets but that’s just extra stuff! (PS I was going thru the bad reviews and found the responses funny)

I have been going to this location for many years and it keeps getting better. All of the staff are great, knowledgeable and all around good people. Recently changed owners again but the store remains true to its customers new and old alike. They have a great selection of comics and even run online auctions for books on a weekly basis. Love stopping in even after I moved over an hour away. Worth it.

This was my 2nd time in the store. As I have recently decided to get int MTG, I came in with a card list. I was recommended here by a friend for their selection.When I came in, I asked about a card kiosk where I could order some cards. The owner took me over to it and explained how it worked and I ordered my cards with ease.Then as I waited for my cards, I talked with the staff, manager, and the owner. I told them that I am brand new to MTG but I have been enjoying the process of learning the game.They talked with me for a half an hour about cards and combos and such. They were really cool and made my experience a good time.The other great thing about this place is the people who come in. I had several people say hi and welcome me. I even had a dude offer one of his decks and to sit down and play a game.Overall, it was a great experience in a great shop. I will be back and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys MTG, comics, and other such merchandise. Truly a jewel in our city.

I have been a gamer for longer than some of the staff here have been alive. This store is THEE STORE. It is 110% customer orientated, a great atmosphere that can only be achieved by having first class staff and attitudes. It is a game store ran by gamers for gamers. The prices are good and the service is great. I have made great friends here and I will shop nowhere else.

Staff was friendly. They were very busy, but made it a point to ask if we needed help and said have a great day when we left. Also, once they asked if we needed help, and we replied no thank you, they left us alone to look. Greatly appreciated the way they kept the store organized, though I feel the RP book section was a bit tiny.

(The issue was settled a while back and was a misconception on both parts. As of now, I have gotten the money, and apologised to the manager for the misconception)Went to go sell some MTG cards used with 59 foil cards in pristine condition. Staff held onto the cards for when i came back, but gave me 10 of the 59 in return. When i return, i asked to see if their staff knew anything about it. With them saying they didnt know. So, to file the issue. The guy at the check out looked for who it was, until contacting them. Which than lead to me giving them both my E-mail and phone number to contact via. Two and a half weeks later, still no call or email from them.Its a decent comic book store, with mediocre to awful responsibility for customers things. Not in the lost+found, and an empty promise of contact if anything comes up.I am under the age of drinking, and I have not stolen from your business. In fact, I been there since titans. It is a beautiful place to go. I just dont think what this place did was in any way reasonable as a business stand point. So do not disregard this review, and dont make the excuse of being drunk, or being a thief. I was 100% sober, and I am a good man to heart, even believing that things were going to be ok, and i would get the cards back. Nope. And I still await a call about the situation.The level of hypocrisy when calling others thieves for stealing cards, and to not consider that you are doing the same is a little absurd. I hope that if this is a staff issue, and not a manager/CEO turning a blind eye to do something like this.Thank you for reading.

I love this game store. Its mostly geared towards magic the gathering the card game. But they also have other cool boardgames, comics, action figures, and the table tops. Its a great place to come in and sit down and play mtg with friends. They host all kinds of events. The staff is friendly and greet me by name everytime i come in. Over all a great gaming store that treats you like family.

Was heading up to South Haven MI when I came across this business. Super friendly staff, tons of product and not garbage stuff. I walked away with some pretty awesome books at a pretty awesome price. Perfect Storm will be a stop on my trip every time.

Been there a few times and it is always a good time. I have a friend that had me go to my first event there and from then on i have always enjoyed going. It is a more competitive environment but due to where it is located that is expected. i highly recommend this place and will 100% be going back to purchase more cards and play in more events when i have the time.

Bring back video games and movies! They may not have been the biggest profit maker here, but they sold and they had both a decent selection and decent prices.....both buying and selling. Could also be expanded, crowded on any weekend. By far the best card shop in Battle Creek, great selection and fair prices. Especially better as its been years since it was Titan games, Marcus was a prick to most everyone. The service here is just one of many reasons to like this place.

One of the last times I was there, they were price gouging a $2.99 comic book for $20. The employee told me they couldnt get the copies so they had to go through a different distributor... the owner said it was because they had bought the copies from a customer for that much. This was two days after the release. I drove to Kalamazoo and bought it for $2.19. Save yourself the time, support a different place for your comic book needs. Discount Hobby is a great environment in Battle Creek, and Fanfare in Kalamazoo will treat you better also. I went in once after that incident to see if they had a book my daughter wanted, the employee hovered over me every step of the way and was extremely condescending. I took that as a sign that my review wasnt welcomed feedback. Their staff isnt knowledge about their product since Jakob left, and the environment isnt very friendly anymore.

I took my 5 year old grandson in for loose Pokemon cards, and hes pretty sure the guys that work there are Pokemon trainers! They even set time aside to teach new, young players in the various role play card games! We will be returning for a Pokemon card game lesson!

Nice to have a place where kids can go and do different activities. They have demo strategy boards games play, tables to play strategy card games, comics and more. They were doing a cool tournament when I stopped in.

There have been a few businesses at this location but Perfect Storm has the benefit of an owner with years of experience with Magic cards and comic books and the best inventory if either I have seen. A large, dedicated play space allows for large events which Battle Creek needs. Board games, tabletop games, CCGs, comics - its all here.

I love this store. All the employees are lovely. Travis, Logan and the new owner Carter are some of the nicest persons I have had the pleasure to meet. I have been visiting this store for the past four years and it is always a pleasure to spend time there. They have a wide range of games, comics, cards and collectibles. If they do not have it, they make sure to order it for you. I have ordered many comics and they always made sure to get them for me. The environment is really friendly and it is nice to see such a community of people just enjoying their free time having fun. I have meet several friends in here so this store is my go to whenever I have a chance to drop by. Their tournaments are well organized and as a pokemon player that is really important so it can all work out for everyone. The prizes from the tournaments are more than fair and that invites people to come back and play again. Friday night magic is a huge event every Friday so I would recommend to anyone that likes magic the gathering to drop by if they want to have fun. Prices are great. The fact that you can have a pool with your favorite comics, makes it easier for the consumer to pick up their stuff at their own pace, without worrying about getting behind on their favorite comic.

Great friendly staff, just one of them talks way too much and is pushy. It tends to be off-putting though I know its not intentional. Its not enough to keep me away as to good far out weigh it.

A great LGS, but check online to see if there is an event going on if you are planning to shop or visit on the weekends, as it will be packed and employees will be preoccupied with the players. Everyone would greatly benefit from an additional employee in the shop during events.

I admit to being only once so far but I loved the feel of the place. It was well done. Almost everything was represented and had a space it could be tested to be sure you wished to buy. I plan on returning if I visit MI again.

Im a Grand Rapids metro local and have tried attending BC Comix for 3 separate events/tournaments. In every single one of them the staff was largely friendly and helpful in terms of the store. However, for the purposes of my visits, me and my group have on every occasion been misinformed of event policies, witnessed event rules changes to benefit locals, and been subject to highly biased refereeing in favor of the locals. As they have a great space Id have loved to find a reason to visit, but its just not worth it.

After having this shop bait and switch books on me from their actions or mislead the grades of their books, having doubles of books put in my pull.I informed the owner that I no longer wanted to have a pull with them. I stopped visiting this shop about 3 months ago but decided to stop in to see if things had changes. They havent! The owner wanted me to pay for books from a pull i had canceled a year ago or he wouldnt sell any other books to me. It is good to know that there is at least one business in Battle Creek doing so well that they can turn down paying customers. Thank you Perfect storm! You truly live up to your name from the over priced books to an owner/employees that are always right...no matter what it costs them. I recommend Fanfare or Rocket comics in kzoo. I do LOTS of business with them and never had any problems

Just drove 30 minutes to come check out some card singles and comics to see what variety they had from my local shop. After one of two friends check out they accused him of stealing and kicked all three of us out. The whole dilemma was horribly handled, my friend pulled a Gameboy out of his pocket which was placed back a few moments later (they said this was when he committed the theft) while we were looking through singles. I had a stack of ~40 cards they refused to let me purchase and never even got a chance to look through the comic selection. Do not shop here, this is a discriminatory store and though I give them credit for remaining calm they did not do right by us nor their own business. Needless to say I will not be returning, and I encourage others to stay away.
