WORSE COSTUMER SERVICE EVER ... Front Counter Guys are EXTREMELY RUDE and act as if the Costumers are asking for a Favor or asking for free stuff. NOT JUST NASTY ALSO VERY PRICE TOO. Not willing to Help the Costumers and in NO mood to do it.

If less than 1 star I will give them. Dont be fooled by The Best of LI award they had on their website or the other positive reviews as I did. Worst customer service ever I experienced with a business, waiting more than a month for the installation sales manager to call me with a quote on material and installation price and date and they never called despite me calling them about 4 times already during this month (I called once a week) asking for that quote and at the end I asked to speak with the owner to let him know how his employees handling and losing a new customer but Christine in customer service told me - with dont care attitude - he already knows that we are busy and nothing he can do. Dont waste your time and efforts with this company. I already called another company (which earned my business) and I got a reasonable quote in the same day and installation date within 15 days.

Truly an amazing company... from the initial phone call to installation the company maintains a high standard of customer service that is very rare to find. Through out the process every call or question that I had was answered quickly. Installation was scheduled in a matter of a few days and the personnel that arrived were highly skilled, professional and went above any expectation that I had. For example, some of the gate dimensions needed to be adjusted based on the actual fence layout, the installation crew took care of it immediately on-site and the fence was installed perfectly. Even the hardware used for the fence and gates is high quality. I would highly recommend Wayside Fence!

I contracted with Wayside Fence to install a railing on both sides of a rear stoop down to our backyard patio. The two installers were punctual and their work commenced shortly after their arrival. You could call it a fence emergency when a few sections of our beautiful old custom wood fence manufactured and installed by Wayside Fence Co. 15 years ago starting falling down yesterday. The neighbors big dog was able to get into our yard and we needed service quick. One call to Wayside Fence and 40 year veteran Installation Manager Gene promised he would send a crew out in the morning. He sent his most experienced installer Joel who immediately explained what had happened. The posts that we originally ordered were white cedar posts which after 15 years rotted at ground level. This is partly due to the fact that our yard has poor drainage in that area and often stays wet for long periods. I specifically remember wanting those white cedar posts because cosmetically they matched the white cedar custom fence. I ignored Waysides salesman Sals recommendation back then to go with treated posts which would have most definitely lasted many more years. And they would have turned a nice silvery gray just like the cedar posts. Well the fence sections were well built and still in good shape, so Joel replaced a few posts and reattached the sections. I found out that Wayside like many other fence companies does not cement wood posts in order to prevent them from prematurely rotting below the ground. The cedar posts were actually not rotted below ground. So for good measure Joel went ahead without me asking and re-tamped most of the other existing posts to firm up the entire fence line . Our yard was secure again. I want to thank the folks at Wayside for a job well done and another fence emergency taken care of.

This review supersedes my previous poor review. Ownership was very engaged in correcting previous operating issues. Owners visited my home and quickly agreed to all remedial steps to be taken. Courteous and technically astute gentleman. They generated a custom made, internally fabricated solution for a privacy fence extension that was aligned with my initial and contracted requirements. Aesthetically pleasing and sturdy. They took ownership of the process, communicated effectively during the transition. I would not hesitate to use them again nor hesitate to provide strong references.

Mike and Joel were great! Great pricing, timely and keeping our satisfaction at the forefront of the job was their main concern. I highly recommend!!

I’m so happy i contracted Wayside ! last spring i hired someone else and i didn’t get my fence, i lost some money and was worried about hiring someone else .. even after everything shutting down after covid, Joel called me as soon as they got the OK to open back up and were there that week to put up my fence and gate ! From the start at the store to the schedule quote to the installation it was professional, The installation team were excellent.

We recently had a gate and fence section replaced at our Day Care Center. The installers did a very professional job. They made sure that everything was satisfactory before they left. They adjusted the gate to make sure it closed properly and they made sure that the new section of fence was level and matched our existing fence. They disposed of all of the packaging and they even took our old gates away!

I’m very happy with the look of our new fence, the guys did a great job and were well experienced with the installation of the fence, they finished within the time they said they would and they were friendly too!

Needed some work on my fence- installed 15 years ago- to get it up to town code. Wayside team had difficulty as we had since installed a patio close to the fence. They discussed options with us and instead of taking easy way out and charging for a new section of fence and a gate, they worked tirelessly, digging around the cement to adjust. It came out great- passed town inspection. They know what they are doing! Highly recommended

Called and set up an estimate no issues. Day of the estimate the person called and cancelled due to not feeling well. He rescheduled for the following Tuesday at the same time. Never showed or called for the rescheduled appointment and wouldn’t answer their phone. Very unprofessional and clearly didn’t want the business that badly.

I worked with Wayside and selected a scalloped Jefferson picket fence. The choices were great but we finally settled on this one. It took a couple of weeks to build and ship but they were prompt. I even got some advice on how to put it up myself. We had a very good experience with Wayside Fence. They installed a fence around our pool, but due to scheduling issues with other contractors, the installation was delayed. They were flexible, prompt, neat, friendly. I spent time with them before they started on the day of installation. We had some minor changes to cover, and they dealt with it very well. The project was completed in one day, and you couldn’t tell they were there- no garbage, no left over material, etc. A very professional job.

Wayside fence was an absolute pleasure to work with. They were responsive, and professional. I rated them a 5 because their communication was great. They did the job they were hired to do and followed up after the job was done. I asked for pictures of the completed work and had them immediately !! I wouldnt hesitate to hire them again!

After being quoted a delivery date I received a call 24 hours before delivery saying that they could not fulfill the order and did not know when the truck would arrive with the materials. When I asked if they could find out when the truck would arrive the sales person hung up the phone on me and emailed me to tell me he would cancel the order. Unprofessional service.

Wayside Fence was fantastic in responding to my need to get a new entrance driveway post by Christmas. Several faxes, measurements, camera photos were needed to get the exact proportions right with Kevin, their representative, even drawing parts of the post with feet and inches included. I recommend them completely with 5 stars.

Talked to Al, I think the manager, and he refused to honor the price he gave me on the phone just a few hours before. He made believe he didnt remember me or the quote. On the phone he was a bit abrupt, in person he acted spaced out/wasted. Said maybe I quoted you for 4.... No way, 4 is MUCH cheaper, he lied to cover up/make an excuse. He didnt care what he quoted on the phone, he would not honor the price he quoted.I drove a distance because of the excellent price he quoted me.I walked out without buying anything. Lesson learned.Bait and switch!

Wayside lacks communication, from sales, to the install . We had some issues with the quality of the installation work and we were able to work out a solution.

Wayside installed all of my fencing 10 yesrs ago. Within the last year, my 8ft wide gate post started to drift. The guys came and removed the gate and re-dug and recemented the post as if it was their own home gate they were fixing. It took several hours but they cut no corners and worked very hard to do it right. What an excellent work ethic!That is not so common these days.I highly recommend Wayside Fence for all of your fencing needs without reservation!Sincerely,MoeGW

Good Business Practices Lacking. Signed a contract in April to have a Fence topper designed and installed. paid 1/2 of contracted amount at such time. Had to constantly call to get status updates and speak to various staff and review who I was and what the project was like it was the movieGroundhog day. 2 months later they came to install and apparently fabricated the materials incorrectly and showed lack of sales/tech and operations coordination. 1 month later they tried second install and pieced together their design because they left a gap in the topper which did not enable the privacy desired and specified upon first and second visit. Hysterical. They did work hard once here and very cordial gentleman installed. nice people. Now they are trying to add a 15% surcharge for extra work ...disgusting, frankly i just may litigate to have them remove it and return my deposit...Though I hope they realize their poor practice and attempt to steal money from me for their mistakes and inefficiency.

They put a fence up at my house and after a year its falling down. Called them four times and each time they said theyd send someone to look at it.....never came. Bad quality, bad business, bad service. Dont use these guys. 6500$ on a fence, posts shouldnt be leaning over.

They installed a gate for me it lasted exactly 8 monthsI been calling for one year to this company I have a SAL calling me back for the last year but never doesThese people are a waist of money a waist of time and energy I was going to do my fence with them I’m so glad I didn’t will never use them again 👎🏻👎🏻

I got an estimate on installing a batting cage in my yard sales man came over took measurements and went over what i wanted he wrote everything down and said he would call me a couple days later.when he came up with estimate he forgot about pipes being black so he got new estimate and i agreed to it,the day of install they cam with wrong height on poles and wrong color they said they would call office Carl called me a manger he explained he would look into this.now the sales man called me and told me the price went up again he said he will call me back when he did he lowered the price,then called back again and said he do it for that price,Carl called and was upset when i told him i just want my deposit back he yelled and would not let me talk to the owner this a place you should be ware of they dont stick to there estimates
